Bluetooth dropping after update to 10.6.8

The bluetooth connection between my Nokia BH-908 headsets and my mac mini periodically drops after I upgraded to 10.6.8. Restarting blued daemon via Bluetooth Explorer does not fix the problem; I have to reboot the computer to restore the connection. I've tried resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) and I attempted to delete the device and re-pairing it. Neither of those things worked, the headset sill drops periodically. This is what the kernel logs say when the device drops:

Again, this only started happening after I upgraded to 10.6.8. Any suggestions for resolving this issue?

have a similar problem here. More specifically, I am using a Plantronics Voyager Legend (brand new) with my Iphone5 (iOS 7.0.2). All apps are working great with the headset, e.g., listening to music, normal phone calls, etc. No sound distortion at all.
When I use Skype (most recent version, which is 4.12.258) the sound is very distorted, like scattered. I also successfully used the same headset with a Samsung Galaxy S3 and Skype. No problems. So, I suspect that it must be the combination of Iphone/iOS7 and Skype which messes up the sound.
Does anybody else have the same problem when using that combination of devices and apps?

Bluetooth problem after update to lollipop

Hi,I've recently updated my 6503 to Lollipop.Everything went smoothly and is working fine, except 2 issues - one solved, second NOT. FIRST (solved) - phone after update waked up and logged to 2G network, with no data transmission (despite it was turned ON). What was strange - my operator's network appeared in 'available network list' as separate 3 NETWORKS ( 2g, 3g and LTE) Switching manually to LTE solved it - now phone is switching between technologies automatically, data transmission is working fine. SECOND AND NOT SOLVED: I'm using the hands-free system built in my car ( mitsubishi lancer, 2008 ) . After update, phone failed to establish connection with it, even hands-free system remained as 'associated device'. OK ... I erased hands-free system from phone, as well as phone from car's memory. Paired devices again - starting procedure from car's side. Nothing better. Erased and paired starting from phone side. Nothing better.What I've observed more: phone after try to establish connection , phone in eye blink looses it. On list of available services of hands-free system (in phone menu ofc) , only 'phone sound' appears, while -as I remember but i'm not sure- before update more (2 or 3) services were detected . PLEASE HEEELP !

- Playing music on bluetooth does not work after Lollipop 5.0.2 update on my car head unit. Previously connected and able to stream music on 4.4.4 Kit Kat with no issues, looking on web this is not a new issue with Bluetooth connection issues to devices since Lollipop came out so what the **bleep** is going on? Bluetooth Disabled After Updates

I have the 8gb iPhone and I'm using it with the Apple bluetooth headset. Each time a new update comes out it disables my bluetooth functions on the phone. I go to the settings, general, bluetooth.
After an iphone update is installed I go to re-enable bluetooth and all it does is display the spinning circle. It will spin like this for as long as you like trying to enable bluetooth.
I've docked the freshly updated iphone with the apple headset to get it to auto pair (since bluetooth wont enable I can't manually pair) and all it will do is charge the iphone and headset. it wont pair or activate bluetooth.
I've tried to restore then load my old settings but that doesn't work. It still won't activate bluetooth.
The only way to get bluetooth working again after an update is to do a restore then treat the phone as a brand new iphone. I can not load any of my old preferences. I have to go through the menus and redo all my sync settins and phone settings This is a pain and seems to be the only way to get bluetooth working again.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
(btw, I really like the apple headset. Fits in my ear great and I've had no complaints from people on the other end of the call. Only issue is the phone needs to be closer than 3ft to the phone to get best listening quality)

When you go to Settings -> General -> About, is there a Bluetooth address showing?
If not, try restoring the iPhone and setting it up as new. If it still isn't showing your iPhone will need to be serviced.

hey! i hade problem in my laptop after updating my windows , the bluetooth suddenly disappeared i cant find it anywhere ,i tried to update drivers and install them again but nothing happened.

Did this have bluetooth to begin with? If so then you need to revert back to the previous O/S and verify for us it had bluetooth to start with?

After update to Symbian anna i always get the question to make an authorization of my bluetooth-connection when connecting to the PC via OVI-Suite. The PCist already markt as authenticated, in spite of: he always ask to authenticate every time i make the connection.

I deleted the bluetooth-connection on my C7 and made a new one. I had still the the question to acknowledge the connction. Suddenly, after a view days, the question did not appear when starting the OVI-Suite. Nothing i changed, and it functioned (i thought).
But my happiness is gone, because the sync-process via bluetooth do not function properly (with the USB-cable it goes). The connection via bluetooth seems to be good, but new or changed entries in the calender are not synchonized. So after deleting the bt-conneciton again on my C7, the question to acknowledge is back, so i still have the problem.

hi Dustin, maybe with a bit more info someone will be able to help with this:
what Mac OS System version are you using?
what is it you are 'dragging and dropping'? : Is this drag and drop of text in InDesign? Or are you dragging and dropping from the Mac OS (e.g. a file from a folder) into InDesign?
If you are referring to drag and drop from OS into InDesign: I'm thinking this 'might' be a Mac OSX issue. If you look over at https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa there seem to be plenty of issues with drag and drop across different OS versions.
Next time it stops working whilst you are in InDesign, does it still work in other programs? That is one way of determining if this is caused by InDesign or the operating system. If it is the OS, my guess is that it stops working in other applicaitons as well.

Icloud storage amount dropped after update to ios8

I had 15gb of icloud storage and after update to ios8 it is now only 5gb and it won't let me even buy more. My provider can't do anything, as it is an Apple issue, Apple support can't do anything, as it is an icloud issue! Anyone got any suggestions?

Bluetooth drops after lion os

HI, just installed Lion and updates.
iMac now drops both wifi and Bluetooth after sleep. This has only happened since the update and I have reinstated my iMac to snow Leopard from backup and it appears to work fine.
Assuming this is a Lion OS glitch which seems reasonable can I expect my money back or an upgrade at some point?

From what you describe, I suspect that the problem is not in the Bluetooth module.
However, trash the preference file (com.apple.bluetooth.plist) and restart.
I would also run repair disk from your software install DVD.
I do not have a mini, so I have no first-hand knowledge. I have not read about problems associated with the mini/OS X 10.7, but that does not mean they do not exist.

Recovery Partition Missing and Bluetooth Issues After Update

After upgrading to 10.9.3 my recovery partition is gone and my bluetooth will pair with a new device, connect, and then disconnect. After that I am not able to reconnect the new bluetooth device. I can see it, but can't connect to it. I have tried multiple bluetooth devices, and they all do the same thing. I am really baffled about the missing recovery partition. Any ideas?

I still don't know what happened to my test Aperture Library after the update to 3.4...Not only were my previews lost, but so were the original images! Needless to say, I haven't bothered to update the main library on the Mac Pro because I don't want to deal with this level of uncertainty (even with backups in place).

Have you tried to run the phone in safe mode to see if it keeps appearing then?You can start it in safe mode by turning the phone off and then press and hold the on/off-key and at the same time continuously tap the menu key (the one to the right below the screen with the for lines). It might take a couple of tries before you succeed with getting the phone into safe mode, so have patience. What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Bluetooth issue after update

I recently got the 2.3.4 update on my Incredible. Now whenever I'm on a call with my bluetooth headset, the headset will disconnect if I receive a text message while talking on the phone. This never happened before the update. Can someone else confirm if this is a bug with the update or if it's just me?
Here's my version numbers:

Have you tried unpairing the device and add the hardware again?

Dear All,
    A few months ago I changed the old default Windows operating system to Windows 8. Everything worked fine.
    However, recently, the system auto-updated to Windows 8.1 and Bluetooth disappeared! My old BT devices are still there if going into classic device manager, but unaccesible. Metro-style 'PC & devices' shows no bluetooth option.
   Everything else works fine and unfortunately there is no driver available for Bluetooth and this OS on the Lenovo website.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
