Bluetooth earphones with iPod Nano

Can you use some kind of wireless earphones with the iPod Nano?  I'd like to get the Nano to use when I walk but I don't want the wires of headphones to get in the way.
Also, does the Nano have a calendar or alarm clock?  Timer?

you have to buy a bluetooth adapter for ipod nano!
it doesn't have neither calendar nor alarm clock, but yes, it has the timer!

  • HT203681 Volume limit comes on with Bluetooth earphones on iPod generation 7 and won't go off

WWhen I connect Bluetooth earphones to iPod generation 7 the volume limit comes on automatically and won't go off

    Hi craig9798,
If you would like to change or turn off the Volume Limit on your iPod nano 7th Gen, you may find the following section from the User Guide helpful (pg. 25, PDF):
Set the maximum volume limit for iPod nano:
1  On the Home screen, tap Settings > Music > Volume Limit. The volume control shows the maximum volume limit.
2  Drag the slider left to lower the maximum volume limit, or right to raise the limit.
Note: In some countries, you can limit the maximum headset volume to the EU recommended
level. Tap Settings > Music, then tap the switch in the EU Volume Limit section to turn it on.
Require a passcode to change the volume limit:
1  After setting the maximum volume, tap Lock Volume Limit.
2  In the screen that appears, tap a four-digit passcode.
If you tap a number by mistake, tap , then tap the number you intended.
You can keep tapping to erase all numbers and return to the Volume Limit screen without setting a passcode.
3  When you’re prompted to reenter the passcode, tap the numbers again.
    Remove the volume limit:
1  On the Home screen, tap Settings > Music > Volume Limit.
2  Drag the slider all the way to the right.
If you set a passcode, tap Unlock Volume Limit first, enter your passcode, then drag the slider. If you forget the passcode, you can restore iPod nano. See Updating and restoring iPod
    software on page 59.

  • IPod Click Wheel games compatible with ipod nano 5th Generation

I've found the iPod Click Wheel Games by clicking the triangle that appears next to the "App Store" tab and clicking the third option, "iPod Click Wheel Games." But when I look at the details of any of the games it says they are compatible with:
"This game is compatible with iPod nano (3rd and 4th generation), iPod classic, and iPod (5th generation) only. It cannot be played on your computer, nor is it compatible with other iPod models or iPhone."
Does this mean that I cannot use them on my iPod nano 5th generation? or is the iPod nano being referred to as "iPod (5th generation)"
I guess it just seems silly that a game is only compatible with older versions or that the newest iPod nano can NOT operate older games.
Can anyone explain this? or has anyone tried to download one of these iPod Click Wheel Games and found that it actually Does work for an iPod nano 5th generation?

    Can anyone explain this?
I can't but Apple should be able too - U.S. iPod and Mac technical support: 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273)

  • Games compatible with ipod nano (gen 4)?

Where are the games in the iTunes store that are compatible with ipod nano (gen 4 ...the tall skinny one without the camera)? Or have they been replaced/ deleted? 'Cause I tried finding them, and they're nowhere to be found; I know they used to have a bunch of 'em- I still have the old Monopoly version that works with my iPod nano 4th gen. But even that seems to have disappeared from the store. Does anyone know if it is still possible to find games compatible with older iPods, or has Appple tried to make the older models obsolete by no longer offering apps for them?
Any help at all is greatly appreciated, thank you.

i have tried looking for them as well they take the games off to make room for new modles. that is the only down side of having a nano that is why is want the ipod touch. and do not go in websites you will mess up your computer i have the same ipod and computer as you trust me don't bother looking you are just wasting your time.

Do i need nike+ sensor with iPod nano 6.generation?

    According to this page: http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/features.html
Track your walk. Or your run.
The built-in accelerometer in iPod nano gives you real-time feedback on your workout, and you can upload data to the Nike+ website. There’s no need to connect a receiver or use a shoe sensor to track your steps, distance, pace, and time. Just clip on iPod nano and go. In the gym, connect iPod nano to a Nike + iPod compatible cardio machine to keep track of every workout. Back at your computer, upload all your data to the Nike+ website to create personal goals, check your progress, and challenge your friends to top your results.Learn more about Nike + iPod

My iPod's OFF/ON switch is not working and I have checked over internet that this problem is very common with iPod Nano 6th generation, my iPod is now out of warranty period. What shall i do now?? Please Suggest!!

You can do an out-of-warranty replacement at an Apple Store for a fee, get a 3rd party site to repair it, sell it for parts, or get a new one.

  • I had an ipod nano its earphones are not working.. a few months back my ipod broke and i purchased a new ipod touch but its earphones died too so i got them replaced. is it possible to replace my earphones of ipod nano with the warranty on my ipod touch ?

can i claim the warranty of another earphone on one ipod i.e. getting two earphones on the same warranty serial number...

Because the warranty for your iPod touch does not cover manufacturing defects with your iPod Nano.  You are talking about and dealing with two seperate products.

  • Using Apple Earphones with Mic and Remote with Ipod Nano (3rd generation)

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is any way i can make the Ipod Nano(3rd generation) compatible with the Apple Earphones with Mic and Remote. I know on the box it says the earphones are only compatible with a few ipods, like the 4th generation ipod nano. But Is there any program i can download or use to allow the ipod to recognize the earphone remote and mic?
    Thanks a lot.

I'm quite convinced the answer is no for that Apple mic.
I do believe recording is possible on the Nano 3G with the right attachment. But I don't think the sound comes through the headphone jack the way they do on the nano 4G and iPhone 3G/touch.
This review http://www.macworld.com/article/60004/2007/09/3gipodnano.html says it's possible, but when I look at "Belkin, Griffin Technology, and XtremeMac" I don't find much... doesn't sound like they worked very well ... the iKaraoke is compatible

  • Anyone have trouble with ipod Nano earphone jacks stop working?

I have had 2 ipod Nano sice 2007 have earphone jacks that have sytopped working. My latest one was purchased in April 2010, and earphone jack stopped working 2 days ago. Anyone else had this issue?
    Thanks!!

I have done some experimenting and testing with my old Classic iPod that uses operating system 3.1.1. I don't think this operating system has changed. However, later generation iPods such as nano, shuffle that use a different operating system seem to work absolutely perfectly in my 2010 Lincoln Navigator, especially the ones without a hard drive (i.e. flash drive). My conclusion is that the Ford SYNC updates have somehow not been backward compatible with the older operating system. I know this can be attributed to Apple for part of the problem but I suspect that Ford somehow did not do enough testing with the older iPod operating systems. Turns out there are probably 7 or more operating systems on iPods and while you would assume that "backward compatibility" is a no-brainer, that seems not to be the case with second party vendors such as Ford SYNC. Personally, I have given up trying to solve this problem and have gone to flash drive and a "line in" option. My old Classic iPod works exceptionally well, plus I have a spare so I can probably use these thing till "H freezes over". Being a older retired American these things may actually last a life time!

  • IPod earphones that came with iPod nano.

Okay so I recieved an iPod nano 2nd generation for christmas, and 6 months after, my earphones went out on me. The left earbud is barely audible while the right is okay. I really love the earphones because the sound is terrific but it'll cost so much just to replace them. My friend told me that if I sent my defected earphones to the nearest Apple centre they would give me a new one for $5. I don't know if this is true. I live in Canada, can someone verify, or tell me how to get new ones for a lower price?

Personnally I'd buy better ones, but if you want yours replaced go here: http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/ or, if you have an Apple Store near you, take them there to be replaced at no charge.

  • Car Bluetooth Stereo and iPod Nano 7th Generation

    Hi,
I have a Renault Clio (2000) with factory fitted stereo which has just decided to break. I would like a new stereo to replace the old one but want to be able to wirelessly connect my iPod Nano 7th Generation (i.e. Bluetooth) as I hate using an AUX cable in my car. Which stereo would be suitable for my iPod. I have a budget of around £100 and looked on Halfords but no of the stereo's stated they would play over Bluetooth.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nathan
