Bluetooth for Apple TV?

I have a hearing impairment and use hearing aids but I can only understand about 33% of the dialogue on videos I stream on Apple TV. Is there any way I can connect bluetooth headset to Apple TV or HDTV set?

This is not a feature of the Apple TV.

I work for company and we use HTC phones about a hundred  .. We are thinking of changing to iPhone...  We use destiny pens and have been advised that apple blocks the Bluetooth for this device... Why...?

Apple doesn't "block" that device. They just don't support the Bluetooth profiles the Destiny pen requires. You can see the Bluetooth profiles included in iOS here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
and the profiles required for the pen here:

Perhaps another pen such as the A4 Smart Pen would work for you in place of the Destiny device:

  • Organizer Tray for Apple Wired Keyboard & Magic Trackpad

    Greetings,
I have found several "organizer tray" products online for positioning the Bluetooth keyboard and the Magic Trackpad like a Macbook Pro where the trackpad is just below the keyboard.
I am curious to know if anyone has seen or has a tray that will organize the Apple wired aluminum keyboard with the numeric keypad and the Magic Trackpad.
I find that I'm getting RSI in my fingers and wrist having the trackpad to the right of the keyboard.
    Anyone seen anything?
    Thank-you!
    Derrick

Just found another one; a slightly different configuration and less than half the price: http://www.magiclapdesk.com/magiclapdesk-for-apple-trackpad.html Good luck!

  • Stereo Bluetooth for Iphone

Do anybody know if Apple is working on coming up with Stereo Bluetooth for Iphone?

Here is how I am able to listen to audio thru my bluetooth earpiece from my iPhone's iPod content including video. It works with Apple's bluetooth and Motorola's H5 bluetooth. It's only one ear hence mono sound I believe. I don't have a stereo bluetooth headset to listen to to hear otherwise.
First make sure the bluetooth is paired and active. Touch phone from home screen< then touch voice mail < then in the upper right hand corner touch audio < your bluetooth device should be visible < touch it.
Now you should be able to listen to your iPod thru your headset. The only drawback is that the audio is also going thru the iPhone speaker too.
It works on my iPhone running latest update. Good luck.

I need instructions for installing blue tooth for apple iphone 4s?

We have Jabra bluetooth.  We got out the instructions that came with the Jabra and and followed them.  Worked like a charm.  Just remember that once the bluetooth is paired, you cannot go more than 30 feet from your phone while using it.

  • Does the latest Macbook Pro support Apt-X bluetooth for hi-fi audio?

    Hi
I have read that the latest Mac Mini supports Apt-X Bluetooth for high quality audio transfer, and that Apple is introducing this technology as standard in its products, but am wondering if the mid 2010 Macbook Pro also supports this?
If not does anyone have experience using either the Creative or Sennheiser USB dongles with the Macbook Pro? I am hoping to use the QED LIVE uPLAY receiver which supports Apt-X with the Macbook Pro, and would be interested to hear about other people's experience of this device or similar devices.
    Thanks
    Nick

If you check out the teardowns on ifixit.com, it would seem that the Macbook, Macbook Pro and Mac Mini all use the same Bluetooth + 802.11n part from Broadcom: BCM943224PCIEBT.
I'd imagine that if the hardware and software are the same that bluetooth support of these 3 machines should also be the same. However, I can't find any evidence for or against this. Perhaps people with these machines could test it out. Better yet, perhaps makers of apt-x supporting headphones could test this out as it may help sales. Best yet, perhaps Apple could state this on their tech spec pages if indeed these machines support apt-x...

  • Apps for Apple TV

    Hi,
I'd like Apple to let us xcode developers create apps for apple tv.  I would like a webbrowser and tv stations that currently offer iPad apps that we have in australia with on demand content, SBS, ABC and Channel 7 to have apps that can be downloaded from an Apple TV App store.  If a TV set comes out this is the nautral evolution.  As we can bluetooth a keyboard to the Apple TV, we should be able to develop a web browser app and other apps if Apple lets us, and lets us add mouse support?
    Thank you.

Any feedback should be sent directly to Apple

  • When is Bluetooth not Bluetooth - Does Apple, Inc. know?

    Hello,
Here is a description of what Bluetooth does, according to Apple, Inc.
*What Can You Do With Bluetooth?*
    +• Last Modified on: March 02, 2004+
    +• Article: 51768+
+This article explains what you can do with Bluetooth.+
+With Bluetooth you can do the following:+
+ Connect your computer to Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones to for dialing, SMS messaging, and synchronization of data, such as contact information.+
+ Connect to the Internet using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.+
+ Exchange files between Bluetooth-enabled computers and devices.+
+ Synchronize data between your computer and Bluetooth-enabled Palm OS devices.+
    + Use a Bluetooth-enabled wireless keyboard or mouse.+
    + Connect to a printer wirelessly.+
I used a Nokia with Bluetooth for a number of years and it worked as described above by Apple, Inc. More recently, I switched to an Ericsson K700 and the Bluetooth also worked as described above.
    Here is my personal problem.
I use a TomTom GPS that offer traffic information via periodic downloading of information from the Internet via (you guest it) a Bluetooth enabled mobile telephone. My Nokia and Ericsson handled it beautifully.
To my HUGE and CONTINUING dissapointment, I discovered after having purchased my iPhone (described as supporting Bluetooth) that it does not support important components of the BLUETOOTH STANDARD. A Standard that is not standard is not a Standard.
Can support at Apple, Inc. advise me if there is a solution and if not if there is a solution coming?
    Thank you

Bluetooth has many, many profiles that can be optionally implemented by device manufacturers. Each device only implements the profiles relevant to what the device needs to provide and what the manufacturer wants to provide.
Apple (and AT&T) decided that they did not want to offer network tethering on the iPhone. So Apple did not implement that profile on the iPhone.
Bluetooth is a standard, and so are the many Bluetooth profiles. In order for two devices to connect and use each other over Bluetooth, each must implement the profiles that the other expects.
If you want to request the tethering profile on the iPhone, you should post a feature request to Apple. This is a user-to-user support forum.

  • Bluetooth Wireless Apple Keyboard comes with Energizer batteries? Can't seem to register my new keyboard too.

Bluetooth Wireless Apple Keyboard comes with Energizer batteries? Can't seem to register my new keyboard too.
I bought this new keyboard from the Ala Moana Store and was surprised to open the sealed box with two Energizer AA batteries inside. I didn't know batteries were supplied. The road clear plastic seal over the battery door was also missing. I am a little suspicious that this was a resealed return item.
The next thing I am trying to do is get it registered (like all my other apple items) just in case this turns out to be a lemon, but I can't seem to find a way to add it to my other items. There's no category 'Bluetooth' or 'Keyboard' in the equipment selection list.
So here's my question, did I get a used item that was resealed and put on the shop shelf? Someone else paid for this so it isn't showing up on my list of items. I would like to add it.
    Thanks.
    Mike

    Hello Mik:
You cannot register a KB.  Apple does not keep a database of peripheral devices.
I would question the store about the unwrapped batteries....  I would suspect that the device was returned by someone else.

  • Berklin bluetooth for mac

    Hi,
I recently bought a Berklin bluetooth for mac. I have built in blue tooth in my computer but the range is not enough ( I hook up a motorola blue tooth to my computer and talk on skype this way).
The New Berklin Bluetooth is letting me use the headset. When I hook it up it acts like another blue tooth device and recognizes my computer too (and the headset for that matter). It is not letting me sync the headset.
In the instructions it says that Mac OS X driver and software provided by Apple.
What can I do to make this blue tooth act like it is taking the place of the Blue tooth in my computer and not acting like another device.
    Thanks!!!
    Barak, DVM

You can use almost ANY internet connection and service provider for Macs (even if they say they don't support Macs usually)
An ADSL connection over your phone line can get you speeds of 512kb/s minimum, usually much more. Or a cable connection (via your cable TV provider) can get you similar speeds.
AOL is not the only internet service provider for Mac. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands in the US.
AOL do offer ADSL broadband connections, but to be honest, you'd get a better deal elsewhere.
Have a look here for alternative Internet Service Providers, that can provide you with better speeds at lower costs than AOL.
    Jools
P.S. If you can't upgrade your internet connection soon, why not ask a friend to download the updates for you and burn them onto CD.
Windows PCs are able to download these files too.
Or ask in your local Apple Store.

  • ITunes Match Unable To Get Past "Waiting for Apple to deliver your iTunes Match results..."

Been trying for days but it just gets to "Waiting for Apple to deliver your iTunes Match results..." and then stops and allows me to press the Start button again to start the match process.  Sometimes I get error -3231.
I've called Apple and they want $19 to solve the issue even though I paid the $25 for Match.
I've turned iTunes Match off.  Turned Genius off.  Logged out of my iTunes account.  Quit iTunes.  Restarted. Logged back into iTunes account.  Turn Genius on.  Turn iTunes Match back on and let it go through the process again with no success.
My library has a couple hundred songs less than the 25,000 max but it is pretty large.  Had the same issue when I tried with a smaller library some time ago.  I've created a new library and have the same issue.

    Hi,
You should consider rebooting your internet router
Then try holding option key whilst turning off match. Close iTunes and then reopen. Turn on iTunes Match and select add this computer.
