Bluetooth for Blackberry Curve device won't enable

I have a blackberry curve 8330, and the blootooth option won't enable.  I've done battery pulls, and have also wiped the device clean and restored factory defaults.  It stll won't enable - it tries...it pauses...but won't enable.  I consider myself an advanced user, and could download a fix if you suggest.  Please help.

Hi, my blackberry curve 9380 won't switch on and i have had it on charge since last night.  The red light or green light isnt on and it doesnt want to switch on even after i take the battery, sim and SD card out? It is just under a year old.  Can anyone help because i need my phone to be on urgently!!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Blackberry Curve 9310 won't reconfigure my Google email

I accidently pressed something on my Blackberry Curve 9310 and it caused all my phone calls and Google emails to run together for awhile. Well,I finally fixed that, but now I can't send any pictures from my phone to my Google email without me getting a message that I'm being redirected to the Setup Wizard because messaging isn't configured. I then get to Setup, press email accounts, and I'm stuck.....nothing happens. My phone won't do anything. I can read my emails, but cannot send anything to my email, and I like to send my pictures from my phone to my Google account to edit them before posting them online anywhere. I have tried the Service Book thing, but nothing works there either. Please help...this is very frustrating!!!

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 won't boot, LED blinks and hourglass spins

I bought this pink BlackBerry Curve 8330 in December of 2008. It has worked perfectly since and I've never gotten it wet. It's been dropped 4-5 times, but never from more than 3 feet.
This afternoon, in the middle of writing a text, it suddenly powered off and the red LED light came on like it does when it is turning back on. It went off, the screen stayed black, then a few seconds later the screen turned on with an hourglass spinning for about five seconds, then the light turns off and everything goes black again for a few seconds, then the LED light comes on again and the cycle is repeated. It did this five times before I had to put it away as we drove home. When I got home, it had finally booted the whole way, but the battery was so low the radio was off, so I plugged it into the USB charger on my desktop computer.
When I came back later, the phone had stopped charging and was on a black screen with the LED light on, just like earlier. It went through this cycle a few times.
I pulled the battery and put it back in, same thing happened. Black screen, white screen with hourglass, black screen.
I plugged it back into the USB charger and as I type this, the little psycho has booted completely and it shows that it is charging.

Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
Apps installed and their version if possible.: Too many to type out right now, but the latest ones to be updated were SocialScope Lite v0.9.6.20, BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.2.12 (both updated automatically)
BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): No bluetooth (hope that's what BT stands for)
How can I fix this so it doesn't keep happening? Thanks so much in advance.

  • Getting the New software 6.0 For blackberry curve

I would like to get the new software for my curve but i dont know how to. i havent gotten an update and i keep checking. is there any way to put it on by going to a verizon store or off the website?

    Hi,
To update your Blackberry Operating System (OS) software, follow the instructions I will provide.  You can check which version your device is running by going to Options>About on your device.  Here are the instructions:
How to Update your Blackberry’s Software
    1. On your computer, download and install Blackberry Desktop Manager (BDM). The program can be found on the CD that came with your Blackberry or from Blackberry’s web site at the following URL: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2. Download the upgrade file for your device. This can be done from the vendor’s web site, such as Verizon’s at http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/
    3. Click on the downloaded upgrade file and install that file your computer. Now the upgrade file will be integrated into BDM.
    4. Attach your Blackberry device to your computer and backup your device’s settings before upgrading. This is important so that you do not have to enter your contacts, etc back into your phone again.
    5. After backing up, you are ready to begin. With BDM running on your computer, click on Application Loader.
    6. Under Update Software, click on Start.
    7. Now you will be presented with a list of available software upgrade options. Select the proper upgrade by placing a check mark next to the one you want to install and click next.
    8. Follow the prompts and your software will install on your device. It is important to remember that the whole process can take 30-45 minutes. Do not unplug your Blackberry from your computer during the upgrade.
    9. Once you receive the message on your computer the process is complete, you are done.
    Hope this helps,
    Doc

  • Contact software like Palm for Blackberry Curve?

I have been a Palm user for years. I now have a Blackberry Curve and want a contact type tool similiar to Palms. I want to be able to pull up a contact and see all the data in a better format than what is available on the blackberry today. Are there any software device and desktop solutions that are available? If so by who and where can I get them. Today I know that I can sync my palm data to my blackberry, but would like to be able to use only 1 product instead of 2.
    Please help?
    Thank you!

  • Blackberry Curve 8520 won't turn on or charge

My blackberry curve 8520 will not turn on,there was a red light on for a minute! Took out my sim card, memory card & battery and tried to charge it then. It came up for literally one second a drained battery sign. Really don't want to send it away, any help would be great Thanks!

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

  • My internet settings for blackberry curve

i have a blackberry curve 9520 i have been having internet problems so i contacted vodafone the man said try and reset your internet settings , the problem is i dont know how to do this can you help?

    Hello!!
And you let him get away with that? Really? You PAY them for your support, and they didn't provide it to you.
    My guess...
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then should contact your mobile service provider for formal support...and this time don't let them fob you off so easily.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry curve 8330 won't sync to Outlook

My blackberry curve that I've had since 2008 suddenly stopped syncing to my outlook calendar.  All appointments show up on my blackberry but won't sync to the computer.
    Can anyone help?
I've already checked the CICAL setting
I've already checked the sync setting in the blackberry software.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....or the name of another calendar program that works well with the blackberry and computer.
    Thank you

    Hi,
I assume you are using Blackberry Desktop Manager for syncronization?  You checked the setup under BDM you stated.  Did you check the direction for which it syncs?  Other than that, there are other programs such as Datapilot from Susteen that works well for syncronization.  You can go to their website for more info.
