Bluetooth getting jerky

Does anyone else have this problem: Bluetooth for the mouse and keyboard becomes jerky after a while. Move the mouse, and the pointer lags behind or doesn't move at all. The temporary fix is to disconnect the jerky device and then immediately reconnect. Eventually it gets jerky again after a week or so. I'm using OS X 10.9.2, and the problem may have started after the update. I'm not sure.

I'd recommend the following from our Bluetooth Troubleshooting article:
Mouse does not track as expected (jittery, jumpy, slow, fast).
The Apple Wireless Mouse can be used on most smooth surfaces, however if tracking issues occur try these options:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu, then choose Mouse from the View menu. Set the Tracking slider to adjust how fast the pointer moves as you move the mouse.
Try using a different surface to see if the tracking improves.
Turn the mouse over and inspect the sensor window. Use compressed air to gently clean the sensor window if dust or debris is present.
If multiple Bluetooth wireless devices are in use nearby, try turning them off one at a time to see if the issue improves. Bandwidth intensive devices could affect tracking.

Hi,
I recently updated to Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web and now I am having troubles when trying to sync.
I am getting the message [device name] connected via bluetooth and several seconds later it's getting disconnected with the message: [device name] disconnected via bluetooth --> in E61
In 6230 - it's getting crazy and the phone is being shot down.
I restarted both phones many times, restarted also the computer.
Yesterday it worked for a while, I managed to syn my calendar but today it's not working again.
until now I used an older version PC_Suite_681_rel_13 and it worked properly.
I tried to go back but it's not working now.
My Os is winxp- SP2
PC suite version PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web
Bluetooth: Widcomm ver 4.0.1
Machine - HP notebook.
I hope someone has an idea.

I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled old PC suite and installed Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web today.
With 6230i, phone is seen and a bluetooth connection is made but almost immediately PC suite disconnects. Can't even get a DKU-2 cable connection anymore.

Bluetooth getting disconnect after Android update to Kitkat

Hi,
after update to Android Kitkat i have problems with my bluetooth connection. It disconnect all the time my headphone( oryginal Sony headset). Before this update everything was fine and it works perfectly.
Can somebody help me with it?

Bluetooth gets disabled automatically

I use my E63 paired with my laptop and it synchronizes with outlook periodically. But quite often, bluetooth just turns off on it's own. I need to enable it again from phone. This used to happen in the shipped firmware, and even on the latest E63 Firmware.

Bluetooth mouse, close lid open lid -- dead airport

hi!
i have a logitech bt mouse, which works perfect, however if i close a lid, then open lid after awhile then usually i get jerky mouse movements and dead airport, so just reboot helps
any suggestions ?

Bluetooth driver problem on windows 8.1 Yoga Tablet 2-1051f

Hi,
I just purchased my yoga tablet 2 but i can't bluetooth get working.
Bluetooth device has status "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". Currently installed driver from microsoft, version 6.3.9600.17093. Also I'v tried to install driver for bluetooth from http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-tablet-2-1051 but it didn't bring any changes. After trying to reinstall driver I'v noticed errors in event log: 1. The address of the local Bluetooth adapter is not valid, Source: BthMini, Event ID: 2; 2.The driver has been unloaded, Source: BthMini, Event ID: 17.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have found the way to set BT on.
Instead Fn+F5 I have found on the section "Lenvo Internet Connection", a function that call "Radio Wireless".
Now I'm happy.

How do I get the Mac Pro (2013) to recognize 4K monitors correctly?

I have a 2013 Mac Pro, Six core, 32GB ram, FirePro 700s, 1TB storage, OS X 10.10. It's connected to a Samsung UN50HU6950FXZA 50" UHD TV via HDMI. The system info recognizes this monitor as a 120.5-inch with 7680 by 4050 resolution. WOW. In the Displays Preferences, this resolution shows up as "best for display". The actual resolution of the monitor is 3840 by 2160, but the closest scaled resolution shown is 3840 by 2025. This actually almost works ok, but requires setting the monitor to "fit" instead of 16 x 9; otherwise the image is slightly too wide for the screen. This happens whether the monitor is connected to the computers USB port or to a Thunderbolt port with a Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter. I've tried every combination. I've also booted from a different system disk, reset PRAM and power manager multiple times, used various combinations of monitors, disconnected all peripherals, run hardware diagnostics, everything.
I tried to use the computer with a Seiki 39-inch UHD monitor and it also showed up with these weird resolutions sometimes on startup, maybe once in five times. I thought it was a monitor problem, so tried the Samsung.
There's more, too. The machine doesn't play well with multiple monitors if one of the monitors is a 4K., it is not happy when I uses Spaces with a 4K monitor. In some cases, Final Cut Pro or Premiere CC will get jerky playback, the mouse pointer develops trails, other symptoms that look like graphics card failure. Only a restart corrects these issues. When the computer wakes from sleep and a 4K monitor is used, the application windows do not come back to the same place on the screen; with 2 monitors, the windows may come back on the wrong screen or the menu may be on the wrong screen, or both.
I wonder if anyone else is having similar problems. I have been on chat and phone with Apple support multiple times over this issue doing screen sharing and various diagnostics. While they keep trying and escalating, no real progress has been made. I bought the Mac Pro to be able to work with 4K video and actually display it. So far it works, but there are lots of compromises and work-arounds. Apple has suggested bringing the machine to the Apple Store, but since it works fine with smaller monitors, that probably won't help. I finally got a support person to say they may need to try on-site service. I have a call scheduled for Monday--so maybe something will happen.
The Pro is a great machine, but this stuff has been driving me crazy for months now. It's a great machine that just isn't ready for 4K yet

The available display proprieties are based on information that the monitor/TV sends to the Mac. It appears it is not sending the correct info.

I am confused about the reference to USB.
Does the TV have a displayport or mini displayport input, that is best to use.
Try using the free Display Menu app from the Mac app store. I have to use that to get 3840x2160 (native resolution) on my Dell monitor)

After ios 5 update, bluetooth on ipod touch not funcioning-keynote app no longer pairing with ipad

Since the ios 5 update--bluetooth longer funcioning on ipod touch. iPad no longer syncing with keynote remote app on ipod touch. My iPad no longer sees the iPod touch. The Bluetooth indicator does not come on or flash on the ipod touch.

On the positive side, I was able to keep the connection even when I double clicked home and closed pictransfer while leaving keynote and keynote remote open...
This work-around worked -- I found that as long as I launched the "Pictransfer for iPad Lite" app just before the presentation that it seemed to work fine. However, if Bluetooth gets turned off or you disconnect I think you will have to repeat the work-around -- nice find.
Apple really needs to fix this. They even have a posted document describing how to link two devices by Bluetooth and the truth is that it just does not work as they say. They need to add whatever code into the Keynote & Keynote Remote apps to initiate bluetooth to connect the devices. It's fine if it prefers WiFi, but it should give you the bluetooth option as well.

Jerky playback in Bridge CS4

I get jerky playback of Hi Def mov files shot on my Canon 7D when playing them back through Bridge. The same movies play smoothly with no stuttering whatever on the same machine through Nero or any other player I have installed. According to my camera manual, the frame rate of these movies is 25 fps (I am in the UK using the PAL TV system) and so I set Bridge to play back at this rate (it was originally set to something like 29.77) but that made no difference. Is Bridge using a different codec or what?

Bridge uses Quicktime, so any performance issues wil lhave to be attributed to that, most likely.

Jerky playback

All of a sudden I'm getting jerky playback of video. I've tried the usual fixes: trash preferences, delete render files, repair permissions, repair disk, but nothing has helped. This happens in timeline and also with individual clips in the viewer, on all projects, playing from a variety of hard drives. It may be a coincidence, but it started happening today right after I played a few of the videos on the new google video site. Also, when I open the Mac Finder, the columns are slightly jerky, snaping back and forth laterally, which leads me to guess the problem might be in my system rather than in FCP, so a re-install of FCP might not help. My other programs are working normally. Any suggestions? I'm running the latest FCP 5.0.4.

Perhaps it is now time for the Harpoon solution (aka the Guinness solution in the mid and far west)
for those not in the know:
1. turn everything off.
2. unplug firewire cables
3. unplug power cords
4. get up from well worn chair
5. walk to refrigerator
6. open refrigerator
7. remove bottle of Harpoon (Guinness, local micro brew, etc)
8. pop cap
9. pour into glass ( you AREN'T going to drink it from a bottle, are you?)
10. sip responsibly. enjoy the moment. think pure thoughts
11. return to kitchen. If less than 15 minutes has elapsed, have another. Otherwise, retrurn to edit room.
12. Plug everything back together
12. fire up external monitors, VTR, external hard drives & computer in that order.
does it work now? If yes, congratulate your self. If not, oh well, but at least you are in a much better frame of mind to begin some serious troubleshooting.

External HD kills bluetooth

I have a external AcomData external IDE USB 2.0 hard drive enclosure with a internal 320GB IDE drive. If i start up my iMac with the drive turned on Bluetooth will be disabled and wifi will not work. After about 3 min the Bluetooth gets the unavailable symbol and i have to restart and turn off the HD to get BT and WiFi back. When the problem is occurring if i pull the USB 2.0 cable out of the iMac after about 30secs BT and Wifi come back and everything works.
It seems to only happen with this one HD. I have had it happen once or twice on another but its rare. But it will happen EVERY time with the acomdate enclosure and 320GB ide drive

I have had a similar problem with a Buffalo firewire hard drive. Everything went south after a software update about two weeks ago. Whenever I restart the computer, I lose all my bluetooth devices, which is difficult since I have a wireless keypad and mouse. The only solution seems to be to start up with all cables disconnected. Have called support three times with this and mostly they keep sticking with the "it must be my batteries" kind of logic. Batteries are fine, something is wrong. Everything was fine before the one update.

Bluetooth is pairing but is not functioning

I bought my Iphone4 exactly a year back. In the very begining, I paired it with the Bluetooth of my Toyota Mark-X car. It was working perfectly. Every time, I receive a call, automatically the audio shuts down and I am able to take a call and as soon as the call gets finished, audio starts playing right from that second where it left !!
Last week, when IOS5 was released, I immediately upgraded it .... it was running perfectly, as usual but just after 2 days, it stopped functioning !! I mean Bluetooth gets paired to my Car but the call is not properly diverted to the Car Audio !! First I thought that there is a problem with my Mark-X bluetooth software; so I changed my phone, paired my old Samsung with it and it started working exactly the way it used to !! Which means that there is no problem as far as my Car hardware is concerned !!
I, then, deleted my Iphone profile from my car and then re-paired it .... Problem is still the same; my Car is detecting Iphone & is also pairing to it BUT the Bluetooth functionality is not working !! Even as a matter of fact, before this happened, whenever I received a call, the Iphone screen start showing "Sources" option in the place of "Speaker" icon; from there you can select that whether you want to receive it on Bluetooth or phone or speaker !! But now, it shows the bluetooth as connected but does not show any option on the Iphone screen NOR it fuctions !!
Any Ideas ??

I am having exactly the same problem. I have a 2010 Ford Mondeo and it has always paired up perfectly with my 3GS iphone.
Since the ios5 upgrade it comes up that it is paired and I can access my phonebook etc through the car's system no problems. However when I make a call using the car, it is potluck as to whether it will work or whether it drops out from the car straight away (but continues with the call in my phone which means I have to pull over to stop the call in my phone if it hasn't jammed the phone up).
Even though it indicates that my phone and car are paired, and I may have even received or made a call during the same trip, incoming calls are not put through the car system so I arrive at my destination to find I have missed calls on my phone.
It seems ridiculous that an upgrade could be such a massive step back!!!

Jerky Video and Display Driver Error

We use CS3 at our production house. My editor has told me he is now getting jerky videos and the following error. This pops up in a yellow triangle at the bottom of the screen which when I click on it, an Events Window is opened.
Error: "Desktop Display Mode has been reset because the video card returned an error. Please reset the Desktop Display Mode in the Playback Settings dialog as this may impact your playback performance."
The computer is a Sony Vaio with 1GB RAM, P4 w/HT, RAID5 of SCSI drives, and ATI Radeon 1600 Pro. We are running Windows XP Pro and Premiere Pro CS3. Supposedly the video just started being jerky the last month or two. Windows update issue? I have tried updating the video card drivers (released March 2009) and also changed the Desktop Display to all three options ... Comptable, Standard and GPU. The video still plays back and exports to tape jerky. However, if we export to an AVI on the local disk, then pull that video back into an older version of Premiere Pro we can export to tape.
Any thoughts!?!?! I have found similar qusetions in other forums, but it seems like no one has an answer.

It is very common for OS updates to render display drivers obsolete, and most people do not even know that these are installed. If you have tried the most recent driver (replaceing an older one), and not helped, it might be something else.
The aspect of the video Exporting poorly, leads me to believe that your system might be underpowered, especially in the I/O sub-system. A slow, fragmented, or full HDD can do the same. That would NOT address the warning message, though. That almost has to be a vid-card, or driver issue.
Also, if your Assets have to be decoded by PrPro, that will tax the system. If you Export as DV-AVI, then the CPU does not need to work overtime on the conversion.
Please give a complete description of the Assest, especially their CODEC's. Please give a system breakdown, paying special attention to the I/O sub-system (HDD's specs. and all configuration details).

Bluetooth Driver Installation T440s

I notice also in the documentation that Bluetooth doesnt support the inf installation in the T440 driver pack and needs to be done sepearetly.
The downloadable standalone package suggest silent installation to be run with "autorun /qn"

This causes issues because SCCM just happily launches off the autorun and moves on in the task sequence without waiting for a result like a setup.exe or msi would. This means the next installation fails because bluetooth is still running. Or the bluetooth gets interrupted by a reboot if that is next in the sequence
Ive tried running the msi within the package but it doesnt install the Intel Bluetooth driver, in fact device manager shows no bluetooth, eventhough programs/features shows the application install. The setup.exe included in the WIN\IntelBT\Win7\vs32 folder, doesnt work with a silent switch (-s /quiet etc)
can anyone offer advice on the approved way to deploy this ??

Download the package you referenced and you can extract it with this command:
(replace %PACKAGEPATH% with the directory path you want to extract to that already exists)
giww10ww.exe /VERYSILENT /DIR=%PACKAGEPATH% /EXTRACT="YES"
Use the files and folders you get in that path as the source for your SCCM package. Use the following command to perform a silent install:
%PACKAGEPATH%\Win7\vs32\Setup.exe /qn
