Bluetooth Headphones for Sport (BH-503 or other......

Hi there,
I need some new headphones for my Nokia N79 and thought I might try for some wireless ones. I like the look of the Nokia NH-503 ones. They're nice looking, have nothing that hangs round your neck like there are on most wireless headphones and they look like they clip on your ear for stability when jogging or something. I looked at the compatibility list and the N79 isn't on there. I emailed Nokia who confirmed that the BH-503 is not compatible with the N79 much to my shock and awe. I find this completely ridiculous. I was pointed in the direction of several innapropriate, ugly or expensive alternatives like the 504, 103, 903 and 604.
Does anyone know if the BH-503 is actually compatible and that Nokia just haven't tested it so are saying it isn't?
Looks like I'll be going for some wired non-Nokia branded headphones if not, which sort of sucks, I think.
Thanks,
Nick.

Just in case anyone is interested, the Nokia BH-503 Bluetooth Headphone DO WORK with the Nokia N79 despite what Nokia UK have told me. I took the plunge and purchased them after being sure they should work based on the Tech Specs I've found and lo and behold they do. Amazing. They're excellent headphones and I'd highly recommend them!

I recently bought the Motorola Stereo BT headphones. They link up but only play in MONO. I did a bit of research and found that A2DP is not supported until 10.5 is released. Used the BT headphones on a different device(pocket pc) in stereo and the worked great. No luck on my MBP yet!
This is what I have experienced. If someone else knows of a better recommendation or a fix for the stereo BT headphones, let us both know!
    btw,,,,be safe in Iraq.

  • Looking for a bluetooth headphone for my Macbook Air and Ipad Mini, I am not looking for a headphone that needs a transmitter to be connected to the source rather a headphone that can be connected directly via bluetooth to the source device

I am desperately looking for a bluetooth headphone that would be compatible to my Macbook air and Ipad mini both. I am more of looking for a headphone that does not need a transmitter device to be connected to the source (in this case Macbook Air and Ipad Mini) and headphone acting as a receiver, rather need a headphone that would be connected directly via bluetooth to the source, it would be great if multiple apple devices be connected simultaneously. Please suggest some good headphones.

Hey sorry for the late reply, I was busy to figure out alternatives as harman kardon was a difficult affair to find and acquire, but the good news is I managed to get hold of alternative.
Sony I assume recently launched a Bluetooth headphone DR-BTN200 which is compatible to my MacBook Air , iPad mini and android phone galaxy s2 with ease, the sound quality is pretty good as compared to other brands of Bluetooth headphones I checked compatible or incompatible to apple devices alike, this is definitely what I was looking for, costed me 7990 INR, this is highly recommended for ppl who are confused, I carried my devices to the store and checked before I bought a pair and pretty much happy,
The best part of this is its battery backup, I have used this hours for 3-5 days but this has not drain even then, but I do keep this charging once in 2-3 days just to keep this ready otherwise it does not even ask for it neither the quality of sound drops after 2-3 days of use.
This is over the ear headphone which is very soft but it's get sweaty around the ear I guess that's bound to happen.
Do get back to me for any other details, would be glad to share with all :)

  • If I buy Bluetooth headphones for my iPad 4 can I listen to BBC iplayer TV

If I buy Bluetooth headphones will I be able to listen to BBC iplayer when watching TV

I have now purchased the Bluetooth Sports Headsets, which you said would work with my Ipad so I can listen to BBC iPlayer and  ITV Player, but infact they don't or I can't get them working. I have paired them to Bluetooth on my iPad.

  • Bluetooth Headphones for Mac Pro - Recommendations Please?

    Hello!
I am looking for a Bluetooth headphones to listen to iTunes on my Mac Pro.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

yup.. this was added to Leopard 10.5... 10.5 is REALLY flaky though (all around, not bluetoothwise)... 10.5.2 is what you need.
but with 10.5.2 installed i use the Motorola MOTOROKR™ S9 with a Belkin USB bluetooth adapter (class 1 so get 300 ft range)... works really well... good for exercise 'cause they are light and they stay in your ears securely and can take sweat etc and they are sound isolating and have two sizes of in ear thingies for different sized ears.
plus have Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). AVRCP lets you control iTunes and volume from the head phones... back, forward, play, pause, volume up and down.. they are really cool and work perfectly.

  • Bluetooth headphones for imac

How do I get an iMac to recognize a set of Bluetooth earphones? When I turn them on and press the button to get the blue light, nothing happens in the Bluetooth preferrences page on the iMac. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse working and the Bluetooth is turned on.
    TIA,

    Hello bdphifer,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to pair your Bluetooth headphones with your iMac.
Have you selected the option in System Preferences > Bluetooth to “Set Up New Device” as described here:
    3. Set up a new device
To set up a Bluetooth device, click “Set Up New Device” (in earlier Mac OS X versions, click the Devices tab in Bluetooth, then click "Set Up New Device"). Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your device.
If you have and are still not seeing an option to pair your headphones, I recommend reviewing the steps in the section titled “Top troubleshooting tips” in the following article:

  • Bluetooth Headphones for my N80

I am getting a Nokia N80 and would like to listen to music with bluetooth headphones. Is there anything out there that is compatable with the N80 ?
    Thanks for your help
    Bo

Well, it support Bluetooth headphones, but not in stereo .. which is probably what you mean. The regular non-BT headphones work well though.

  • Recommended Bluetooth Headphones for 3G S?

I have a set of Motorola HT820 stereo Bluetooth headphones on the way to me in the mail, which I'll be pairing with the 3G S I'm soon to purchase. The reviews seem to generally be good, although of course the bad reviews are particularly vocal.
My question is this: how's your experience with pairing stereo Bluetooth headphones with your 3G S been? How's the music quality been? Have you encountered any major issues? Any excessive drain on battery life that you've been able to isolate strictly to the Bluetooth streaming as a cause?

I would do a search of the forum. There have been a number of posts regarding Motorola stereo headsets and bluetooth paring with the iPhone. Use the search options on the right side of the screen and see what you find. That is probably your best option.

  • What is the best bluetooth headphone for a macbook? I really don't know much about either.

I am looking for a bluetooth portable wireless headphone set to use with my new macbook pro non retna. I want someing i can listen to movies, youtube, games(eve online) and other media.
I do not know much about wireless headphones and i know nothing about the Macbook, my first ever apple product.I perfer to get something low profile like the LG HBS-700. I do not neccesarily require a in ear style headset. I also perfer sound isulating over noise canceling.
I am willing to invest in a quality product. I do not know what is compatable with mac though so please help.
I am ordering the macbook this weekend and would like to be enjoying my music and movies right away.
    thank you for your help.

I have a  Motorola Bluetooth headset with microphone that I got from Amazon - here. Nothing fancy - definitely not audiophile quality - but small and portable and they hold a charge really well.
Take a look at them and see if they will fit your needs. Price is right.

  • Recommend over-ear Bluetooth headphones for iPad

I searched the forum and found several threads regarding BT headphone recommendations. Specifically, I am looking for over-ear type headphones as I find earbuds uncomfortable. I'd also like to stay under $100 if possible. So far I have found two sets that look like they might suit my needs & budget--the Motorola MOTOROKR S305 and the Rocketfish RF-MAB2.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with these particular headphones? Or do you have any other suggestions? The Sennheiser MM100 looks nice too but it's $150. Thanks!

The Bose aren't Bluetooth as the OP was asking about.
Personally, I got a set of the Jaybird sportsband bluetooth stereo headphones. I read just about everything I could find on BT headsets and settled on these. They work great and come in less than a $100 bucks. The sound is great for the price and you don't have any dangling cords. Paired right up with my iPad no problems.

  • Wireless or Bluetooth Headphones for the iPhone

I have used the earbuds and find them very uncomfortable in my ears and always falling out. I guess everyone has different shape ears.
I'm looking for a Wireless headset or Bluetooth headset that will work with the iPhone.
I found this one, have anyone tried this and does it work with iPhone?

If not can someone recommend a wireless head set?
    Thanks

The company that make iMuff has just emailed me a reply.
    REPLY:
We haven't announced official support, but it does work. It's not a perfect match though.
    From a recent forum post:
I know a lot of you are interested to know if the iMuffs support the iPhone. The good news is that it does work, but there are a few limitations that we've noticed so far. It's too early to be 100% conclusive, but here's what my testing has shown so far.
    1) The iPhone does not have A2DP support built in, so you can't use the headphones without the iPod adapter.
    2) When you plug in the iMuffs iPod adapter, the iPhone asks if you want to put the iPhone into airplane mode where it turns off it's radios. If you hit "no", it'll go ahead and give power to the adapter and everything wills start to work. So far, this seems to work fine, but the radio range and reliability of the iMuffs might be worse because of interference.
    3) Unfortunately, the iPhone seems to behave a little differently than the other iPods and one thing we've noticed so far is that when the iPhone goes to sleep (after pausing the music for a minute or so) it kills power to the iPod adapter. What that means if that if you pause the music for a while, you have to wake the iPhone up manually before you can get music again. Depending on how you use it, that might not be that big of a deal.
So that's what I've noticed so far. We'll continue testing, of course, and I'd be curious to hear what others have experienced, so feel free to post your own insights.

  • Workable bluetooth headphone for Nokia 5800

I got my 5800 nearly 2 weeks.  I use it together with my BT i-Tech Clip D-Radio.  The connection always drop without a pattern.  It makes me annoying.  Finally, I put the i-Tech away.  I have read many posts.  It seems that no solution on it at all.  Do someone has a workable BT pair for suggestion?
Also, there is no firmware update for my 5800.  It is still v11 in Hong Kong's web site.  What strange there is v21 for download in other country.

These are not over the head headphones with boom mic ?? As far as I understand it, the OP is wanting a similar headset to those used by people at call centres with full earphones and a mouth piece that curves arround to the users mouth ?

  • Bluetooth headphones for iPad/iPod Touch

I'm looking for recommendations for BT headphones that are guaranteed to work with both the iPad and Touch. I realize that I'll probably give up some fidelity but since I primarily use my Touch (and in the future, an iPad) for podcasts and videos, I'm fine with this. My primary goal is to lose the cord.
Thanks in advance for any feedback - preferably, first hand experiences.

I have the motorola S9. Works great through the whole house. Listening to them right now as I type. Odd, I can hear the click of the keyboard through the headphones.
