  • PS3 Official Bluetooth headset not connecting.

So I have this PS3 official bluetooth headset that I want to connect to my Satellite A350D-20K, but via the inbuilt bluetooth detection programs by Windows and Toshiba it doesn't connect. With the Toshiba program it says "Service Detection failed", I know that my bluetooth works perfectly with my PS3 so that ain't the problem, the problem is connecting to my laptop so I can use it.

Wouldn't hurt to reinstall the stack.
       TOSHIBA Bluetooth Stack x32, 8.00.02(T)

Did you notice that the wireless communications switch at the left of the front turns Bluetooth (as well as WiFi) on and off? Slide it to the right to turn them on.
What do you find in Device Manager (devmgmt.msc) under Bluetooth Radios and under Network adapters?

  • When bluetooth headset is connected to iphone,I can't hear iphone ringing aloud when I have a call or a text. Do i really have to wear the bluetooth headset all the time in my ear to know when I have a call or a message? Why it doesnt ring through iphone?

when bluetooth headset is connected to iphone,I can't hear iphone ringing aloud when I have a call or a text. Do i really have to wear the bluetooth headset all the time in my ear to know when I have a call or a message? Why it doesnt ring through iphone but it rings through the bluetooth headsets?
In other phones, you can hear the phone ringing and if it was connected to bluetooth, you could pick up the call from the bluetooth headset.
Here with iphone, if its connected to bluetooth headset, it only rings through the headset, which means that if you dont have the headset in the ear all the time, you cannot know that you have an incoming call or message.
Any ideas - solutions - comments please?

I'm having the same problem. I had a plantronics 975 (which I lost, sadly). When connected, the ringer would always be routed through the bluetooth and the iPhone's external speaker. When in silent mode, the iPhone would only vibrate, but I could still hear the ringer in the bluetooth.
I just bought a new Plantronics Voyager+. Now when it's connected, all sounds are routed to the earpiece - including the taps, etc. The iPhone's speaker doesn't ring at all, unless the bluetooth is disconnected or powered off. I'd really like to be able to hear both, like I was before. This is an iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (latest version, not sure what it is exactly). Haven't updated software/firmware in between bluetooths, just changed the earpiece.

  • IPhone5 bluetooth can not connect to macbook air?

    hi
my iPhone5 bluetooth can not connect to macbook air (mid 2012).
is bluetooth on iPhone 5 designed so that it CANT connect to computers?
    thanks

Yes, BT on the iPhone only has profiles for hands-free, audio, tethering and control. It does not support file transfer profiles.

  • Iphone 4s bluetooth does not connect to  sound system

just bought Iphone 4s 2 days age. Bluetooth can not connect to sound system in my chevrolet captiva model change 2011 (Thailand) but my Iphone 3gs with iSO 4.2 is still worked well.

I have the same priblem.  Got the 2013 Captiva (Thailand) LTZ and the dealer claims APPLE devices are not compatible.  This is a Chevy issue - howcome Chevy cannot make their executive target market SUV be compatible with the leading phone used by executives???  This is such a turnoff.

  • N8 not pairing with bluetooth headset when connect...

    I have a weird issue!
My N8 connects to my bluetooth headset and functions flawlessly usually. But whenever I connect my N8 via bluetooth to my PC it stops pairing with the headset. The moment it connects with the PC, the headset icon appears in my N8, despite it not having paired the headset.
This issue is nagging me for quite some time. Any suggestions please...

I'm running a bit on thin here but let's see.
It might be possible that your N8 thinks the PC is acting as an audio device to your N8. Have you tried what happens when you have the connection establised over BT and you start playing music on the N8 or there's an incoming call? If the music is played through the N8 speakers or you can take a call, then audio is not routed through your PC.

  • Anyone know how to fix Bluetooth headset not working properly after iOS 8 update?

I have an iPhone 5S and I use a Plantronics PLT M20 model bluetooth headset. I am no longer able to answer calls by pressing the button on the headset, since updating to iOS 8. I also also cannot end calls by pressing the button on the headset. This only happened after iOS 8. The Apple Care rep stated that "this is most likely a problem with the bluetooth manufacturer and they need to update their firmware, so now it's just a waiting game until they do that". Is that correct? Anyone encountering this?
    Related information....
Hi - I'm a student with disabilities and rely heavily on accessibility features that make my life easier. For example, I use a Bluetooth headset to trying answer phone calls and use Siri… I especially use the "Raise to speak" option for accessing Siri. Since updating my iPhone five us and my iPad air, I've been scrambling to access the "raise to speak" option for Siri without success. When I called AppleCare, the representative stated I should have that option to enable in my settings. When I explained to her that the option is not showing, she wanted me to reset my phone to factory settings. When I told her I googled the issue and found that it may have been removed in iOS 8… She put me on hold, Came back and told me I was right.
What's worse is that that my Bluetooth headset is no longer working with my iPhone 5S. She stated that it may being I needed adjustment from the manufacturer of the headset– Plantronics. All I know is that the apple care representatives seem confused and I am extremely disappointed in this really impacts my use of Siri and my phone.
When I asked her to submit feedback to her supervisor or the powers that be… I was simply asked to submit feedback to the Apple.com website. While I understand Apple might read that feedback, I also recognize that they don't reply and I don't feel that is great support to someone like me who has a disability and needs a solution. The"Hey Siri" option is not working for me.
Does anyone have any workarounds for the "Raise to speak" problem or the Bluetooth problem? Specifically, the Bluetooth issue is when I try to hit the button on my Bluetooth headset to answer a call or end the call. It's a Plantronics PLT M20 model.

Follow-up to my earlier post that iPhone 6 Bluetooth not working correctly.  I purchased a Jawbone MiniJambox to use as a speaker phone in my office.  Everyone in our company thinks they are the best.  However, it is experiencing the same issues as with all my other Bluetooth headsets.  Everything works except cannot answer or hang up calls pushing the buttons on the Bluetooth devices.  The Bluetooth patio speakers in our courtyard also have the same issue.  However, my colleagues using iPhone 5 and 5s who did not update to iOS8 are using all Bluetooth devices without any issues.  Apple says it is a problem with my Bluetooth device.  Come on Apple.... This makes 7 different Bluetooth devices with different manufacturers.  You cannot possibly believe the problem is with the Bluetooth devices when iOS7 works perfectly fine...
On another issue, my iPhone 5s worked perfectly fine in my vehicle entertainment center connected via USB.  The vehicle entertainment center had complete control of my iPhone and iTunes.  However, now I plug in my new iPhone 6 and it no longer communicates with my vehicle entertainment center.  Again when I called Apple, they said my vehicle entertainment center needed a firmware update.  Are you kidding me...  That is a bunch of BS...!!!

  • Bluetooth headset not detected.

    Hi there,
I am running Windows 7 via Bootcamp on a 13 inch macbook Pro (2.53GHz).
Just bought a bluetooth headset, a Samsung WEP 250. When i launch 'add a device' the bluetooth device does not even show up on the list. Can't get it to connect with the os x either. Any solution?
    Thanks...

Just a quick update, in case others are having trouble pairing this headset. I followed these instructions to reset, and it worked:
    1. Make sure the headset is off.
    2. Hold down action key until white indicator light starts flashing and red/green light on the earpiece flashes red and green.
    3. Hold down action key until headset switches off and the white indicator light flashes (it will flash once).

  • Jabra BT 125 Headset  "Not Connected"

I have successfully paired this headset, but in the Bluetooth prefs while it is listed it says it is "Not Connected" the only way I've found to change this to "connected" is to "update device services", unfortunately, this headset only remains connected for 10 maybe 15 secs max (as listed in Sys prefs/Bluetooth at least) although i don't think its ever listed as audio device (in or out in Sy prefs/Audio) anyone now whats going on or how to get this working?

In relation to getting this sorted once and for all, can anyone recommend a bluetooth dongle that supports Bluetooth headsets (Vocie/data, handsfree/headset profile and all the other annoying protocols/junk needed) that ideally works with the built in Mac bluetooth drivers, as I don't intend on spending £400+ to buy a Mac with working bluetooth just to use a headset
Don't think I need A2DP support at present, but this could be useful.

  • IPhone Bluetooth Headset Not Working Now

My Bluetooth Headset was working fine last night. I charged in completely over night, and when I went to use it on my handy dandy iPhone 3G, I could not hear anything. It showed on my phone as connected and I could hear the beeping when I pressed the button on the Bluetooth, but I could not hear the other person talking! My phone has the current update, 2.2.1, and I have never had this issue before!
If someone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

You should try restoring your iPhone through iTunes. I hear restoring has helped in such situations. Please report back with any news.

  • My Iphone 4's bluetooth will not connect.

The problem that I am having is that my bluetooth on my iPhone 4 will not connect.  When you visit the bluetooth settings, the area where you would turn it off and on has a loading circle.  The button never returns and doesn't allow me to turn my bluetooth on or off.  I used the control panel that you can access by swiping up on the screeen; however, whenever you turn that off or on there is no change to the bluetooth.  I have completely restored the iPhone a couple times using different settings hoping that it would change the outcome but no luck.  I am trying to connect my iPhone 4 to a JLabs bluetooth headset and it has worked well in the past but all of the sudden it seems like my phone no longer has bluetooth.  I appreciate any information you all can give me regarding the issue.  Thanks and have a great day.
    Best Regards,
    Sean

When you restore the device as new, you are essentially reinstalling a fresh new copy of iOS 7 onto your device.  This will clear out any potential software issues with the device, so it is important to not restore from a backup in order to isolate your personal files from conflict.
If the bluetooth is still not functioning after a complete factory restore with iTunes on a computer, than your device will be experiencing a hardware issue and will need to be serviced.
If you are within the 1-year warranty or have purchased AppleCare, you will be eligibile for a replacement iPhone 4 for free.  If you are not within any form of warranty, then you will be subject to an Out of Warranty repair fee of $149.

  • IMac 27" with Win7, Apple bluetooth keyboard not connected, STUCK.

I made a huge (and naive and stupid) mistake and now have an iMac stuck at the Win7 boot screen because it can not find the keyboard. I can't boot it back into OSX either because the keyboard OPT key is not recognized. Here is what happened:
My iMac 27" was working perfectly in dual boot mode and I could arbitrarily boot in either OS without problem since 3 months. Well, today, a friend called and said that her Apple keyboard is not recognized by Win7 on her iMac and she can not type. So I made sure that the battery is good and the green light is on, then I told her to go into the bluetooth device panel and remove the keyboard then re-pair it again. My thought was that I have done that with all bluetooth devices in Windows without problem, and Apple hardware and software is solid, so that got to work without a glitch, right. WRONG. She struggled to pair and connect the keyboard in Win7 to the point that I said I will remove my keyboard device and reconnect it so I can tell her the exact steps. Well, I learned the hard lesson with Apple stuffs myself. After removing the keyboard device, I could pair it, but not without difficulty. Then, however, does not connect, since I could not type and the device driver says that the device can not be started. Then I read messages in the Apple forum recommending to boot up in to OSX to remove the device there and boot it back into Win7 to pair it. OK. I used the mouse to shut down the Win7 and forgot that I have no keyboard now. I couldn't have used Boot Camp control panel to boot into OSX but I was so confident in Apple that I did not think about it. Now, I am stuck with a machine that boots into Windows without stopping and hangs at the first screen because the keyboard is missing. I inserted the OSX DVD in the hope that it would boot from the DVD but it does not. And the DVD is of course stuck in the drive. I am working at a remote location and do not have a usb keyboard or anything else.
Can anyone recommend a procedure to boot into OSX in my situation? Or can anyone tell me if I can pair and connect the keyboard in the BIOS? I googled but could not find anyone in a similar situation like mine. My friend can take her machine to Apple store for service, but I am in a country that has no Apple store.
Thank you very much for any hint.
    tom

I don't know but I installed my Windows 7 with Bootcamp without using a USB keyboard (cuz I don't have one). But you will at least need a USB mouse though. The moment it requires me to use keyboard input for various of information the bootcamp already downloaded required drivers and updates for my wireless keyboard to work. Make sure your wireless keyboard are on and try type something on it (it goes into some sort of sleep mode when you first start it).

  • IOS8 8.0.2 Bluetooth will not connect to Heart rate Monitor H7

I have just switched over to the iPhone 6 and it is running the 8.0.2 IOS 8 version but it will not pick up or pair with my Heart rate Monitor. We saw the same issue when Updating to 8.0.2 on the iPhone 5. It looks like when you update to the new IOS it will break the Bluetooth connecting option to the drive that worked on IOS 7 or before.
I thought this would be an issue with the HR monitor but it works fine on any device until yu update to IOS 8. I would say this is a backwards compatibility issue with IOS 8 not connecting to devices that iPhone used to connect to in Earlier IOS versions.
Are there any plans to fix this bug in IOS 8 to allow for being able to use Devices that worked in previous IOS versions?

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.
