Bluetooth headset-Stereo

I'd like to find BT stereo headset to use with my MBP.
Checking at Best Buy the only headsets I found appear to be good for iPod or iPhone and nothing about pairing with a MBP. When I asked a Geek he said it's BT, if your Mac has BT it should pair.
I found a Sony pair, purchased them and tried to pair it my MBP - it said it's not a compatible device. Same thing with the Motorola Motorokr. Both pair with iPhone but no luck with MBP. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I am using a Motorola HT820, It does support Stereo Bluetooth as long as the device your connecting to also supports this.
Now it does work with my iPhone but it is not Stereo quality, Meaning my calls sound just like any other call with any other BT headset, And you can not hear iPod or other audio through it due to the BT Protocol.
But it does work without issues on my other devices that do support BT Stereo Profiles.

  • Difficulty finding bluetooth headset stereo settings - my headset only plays in mono mode

I've been trying to locate the settings specifically for allowing bluetooth output in stereo (not mono).  I swear I've seen them before but after cycling through the menu "Open Bluetooth Preferences" from the top right menu bar it is not an available option.  My headphones sound terrible and I know it's just a setting issue.  The navigation to find it seems terrible.

Okay, rigerous testing now points in the direction that Vista cannot handle the Mono microphone while playback is stereo.
If anyone has duplicated the above experiment using another mic (laptop mic built-in) it works in STEREO!!! .. Yay! So what remains is how to trick the system so it believes the BH-503 is stereo as well. My laptop mic is definitely not stereo but Vista classifies it as High Definition Audio. Can this be accomplished with the BH-503 mic as well?

  • Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter.  The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again.  Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.

your headphones use a protocol for streaming stereo music that is not supported by the iphone I believe. I bet it gets added but right now it cant do stereo music thru bluetooth.

My E51 is in dire need of GREAT BLUETOOTH STEREO HEADPHONES. As u may know, the OEM headset simply sucks in terms of sound quality and comfort (keeps dropping off).
Please share ur experience in using stereo bluetooth headsets that PAIR SEAMLESSLY to Nokia E51 with rating on:
    - Comfort in using (> 2 hours non stop)
    - Pairing ease & range
    - Musical sound quality (bass treble richness)
    - Conversation sound quality and clarity (inc. talk time)
    - Model (in ear, earbud etc)
    - Price (pref in USD currency)

  • Jabra Halo stereo bluetooth headset skipping with IPAD...

Hi, does anybody here have ever used a Jabra Halo Bluetooth Headset with an IPAD or Iphone? I just recently bought this device and paired with my IPAD and iphone 3gs, and I'm very disappointed, sound quality is great, but the audio keeps skipping every once in awhile, very annoying especially if watching a video or listing to podcasts, perhaps there's a setting that I have missed? any advise would be very helpful, My firmware by the way is ios 4.2 thanks...

To be clear this is NOT an issue with Stereo Bluetooth headsets, it is a problem with the chipset in Apple's iPhone and iPad.
Prior to the iPhone 3 I had a T-Mobile Dash with stereo bluetooth and it worked beautifully. When I got the iPhone 3 the bluetooth was a disaster with skipping and dropping the connection.
I eventually went over to a Sprint EVO and the stereo bluetooth paired with my $300 Nokia noise canceling headphones was awe inspiring. I purchased an iPhone 4 and it arrived yesterday. Today I listened to those same headphones and got skipping and it even unpaired for no reason at all.
The issue with the iPhone 4 seems to be that when the screen is active there is no problem. However, when you lock the screen it starts skipping.
So, I just wanted to point out that stereo bluetooth has been broken on the iPhone for at least two generations and apparently on the iPad too which is extremely disappointing. It's not the headset mfg, its Apple.

please anybody can tell me which is the best Stereo Bluetooth headset with remote support for Iphone3Gs??
    thanks in advance

    Hello thomulusmax,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums
As long as your device is running software version 4.2.2 or higher it supports A2DP. (You can verify this under Options >> About)
Keep in mind that not all Bluetooth headsets are A2DP enabled. As long as your headset supports A2DP and it pairs and connects with your Pearl you should be able to listen to any supported audio format.
    Cheers!

  • Want to separate Stereo bluetooth headset profile ...

    Hi;
I used to have in my windows mobile phone two profiles for my Jabra bt3030 stereo headset.
-(stereo headset profile)  to be selected if I wanna listen to music.
-(headphone profile) to be used during my working day as normal bluetooth headset to answer calls only (however all ringtons/alerts/GPS navigation sounds been forwarded to the internal phone speaker)
In my Nokia E72 ,  firmware  031.023 . I have only stereo bluetooth headset profile. which make me always put on the headset during working days to be able to listen to the calender alerts, and notifications (as they do not go to the internal speaker).
Would you please guide me how to separately use either stereo headset profile (for music) or bluetooth headphone profile (for the calls only)???
    Thanks

This problem is getting me down - Blue Jay headphones work perfectly with every other device and computer we own but cannot be found by our MB Pro (late 2011).  This same MB is very difficult to pair with 2 other Bluetooth devices - taking several attempts each time and providing poor sound quality.

  • Is it possible to use an aux cable to listen to music in your car stereo, but answer incoming calls with the bluetooth headset?

I can't figure it out.  I have to unplug the aux cable, turn off my bluetooth headset and then turn it back on to answer the call.

Yes... simply select the appropriate audio output when answering the call.

  • Play mp3 on bluetooth headset

    Just wanted to share this.
Yesterday I bought a Jabra EasyGo bluetooth headset. Unfortunately, it could not bluetooth mp3 songs from my iPhone 4 iOS5. It can only be used for making/answering calls. However, today I found out that the headset can also play Voice Memos. This gave me an idea on how to bluetooth the mp3 songs from the iPhone to the headset:
Step 1 - Convert the mp3 file from Stereo to Mono (I used Audacity to accomplish this).
Step 2 - Add the Mono mp3 file to the iTunes library in the PC (my iTunes version is 10.5.0.142).
Step 3 - Sync the iPhone with iTunes.
Step 4 - In iPhone, open the Voice Memos. The imported mp3 file will appear in the list.
Step 5 - Turn the headset on (already paired with iPhone), then a 'speaker & bluetooth' icon will appear on top-left corner of the iPhone (see photos below).
Step 6 - In the Voice Memos, click on the play button next to the name of the the mp3 file.
    Cheerio!

  • What are the best bluetooth headsets for running?

With the new 3.0 software update, I want stereo bluetooth headsets to go running with. Any ideas on what the best brands are?

I have the s9 as well and have discovered that the Bluetooth reception is not as good outdoors as in. When I run at the gym I don't have any dropouts at all. Outside, I need to hold the iPhone closer to the headset to prevent dropouts. Perhaps an armband is better than a pocket for this.
