Bluetooth Help

I'm sure this issue has been posted in here already, but I'm sick of looking for it and am getting irritated with this issue.  I have had the 8310 for a couple of months now, and love the phone.  My wife decided to get the same phone yesterday and we have been trying to send pictures/music/ringtones to eachother via bluetooth.  But when we try to do this we get a message saying Connection Service Failed.  Both her and my phone will connect and send media to her old samsung phone, but not between the two curves.  How can two 8310's have a problem sending media to eachother?  We've tried multiple times to delete, then re-sync our devices which doesn't help.  Both phones are listed as trusted under device  properties, both phones are current as far as software updates; I just don't know what else to try.

hello,
is any of the two phones a corporate one ?

  • Bluetooth Help Needed!

    Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place. If you move it can you please message me and let me know as I am new here.
I have windows XP, a nokia 6111 and I have a wireless dongo bluetooth version 3.
I keep getting this error when I try to connect my phone via wireless bluetooth to my laptop:
"Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available"
I realise people have already asked about this error but my question is does anyone know where I can update my bluetooth stack software as I understand you need version 4 and I'm hoping that will solve the problem if I can find it. I have tried looking but can't see an upgrade anywhere on the Toshiba site for bluetooth stack.
    Can someone please help?

  • ITouch 2G bluetooth help

I have an iPod Touch 2nd Generation with firmware 3.0. I have tried to use my bluetooth headphones (Philips SHB6100), without success. I have paired the two devices together but I can't find an option to enable the use of them. There is no icon next to the volume bar or anything. It maybe to do with the model of the headphones. I really need help on this one please.

When you enter the pairing code (0000) and it is accepted, tap the blue "connect" button at the top right of the page. You should see a solid blue or white bluetooth symbol just left of your battery symbol. That's all there is to do.
If you see a "not connected" next to the headphone name on the iPhone's, bluetooth page, you may have to tap the blue arrow at the right, tap "forget this device" and attempt to pair and connect again.
When using the iPod with the headphones, the volume slider at the bottom of the now playing page is replaced by the name of the headphones with a bluetooth symbol at the right. CVolum,e is controlled using the headphone's volume controls.

  • Bluetooth Help/ Motorola Pebl

    Hi all,
I have searched this forum and many others for an answer. Most have posted that they can get farther than I, any suggestions would be great. So here it goes.
I am having diffaculties with my bluetooth and my motorola pebl phone that I recently purchased.
I set up a new device in the bluetooth setup menu and at the last step where you need to enter a 6 digit code into the phone, after doing so the computer and the phone are trying to validate and about 45 seconds later a message pops up and says that the computer could not connect and the phone says the code was invalid. So I am unable to pair my phone.
Although whenever I turn on my computer and my phone is near, a screen pops up saying to create a passcode that will also need to be typed into my phone to complete the pairing process, so I proceed with this and nomatter what I do it keeps poping up every 15 seconds or so. One time it worked and I could send am mp3 file to my phone, though the window said that I will only have to type this code once, I end up having to type it everytime I turn on my computer. I also downloaded a plug-in for the pebl that everyone seems to be happy with, and works for everyone I believe. But it seems not to be working for what I need, what I have read is that everyone has paired their phone but can't do much else, I can't even pair my phone.
    I have a G5 running Tiger 10.4.7
So if anyone out there can help me pair my phone to my G5, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    One Eye.

    Anyone?
    Please help!

  • Updated to 5.0.1 and can't connect to my Audi over Bluetooth - help?

Updated to iOS 5.0.1 this afternoon to help with battery life.  Now incoming and outgoing calls will shut off my car radio and display call information on my car display, but the sound will not come through the car speakers.  I tried deleting the connection ("forget device") and then reestablishing it - no luck.  Anybody else have similar experience and any tips?

I fixed mine.  After hours of struggle!!!
I turned off Siri from settings.  I deleted bluetooth pairing with my car ("forget this device").  I re-established bluetooth connection.  I turned Siri back on.  All fine (so far).
If this works for the rest of you kindly pass it along to one or two of the other 1000 posts on this issue.  People are very frustrated right now.  This one is not obvious.
Let me know if it works for you.

  • Moto Rzr V3 & Virgin - Bluetooth -HELP PLS

    Hi,
So, I laid out a neat $200 + for a Moto Rzr from Virgin. I have some videos and pics (camera in phone) and wanted to a) download to my Mac via Bluetooth and 2) upload some ringtones that I made.
My problem is, I have synced the phone to my Mac but it says when I browse the device it says: "Device does not have the necessary services" Huh? There are no options for browsing any files??
Also, my bluetooth icon flashes and then goes off even tho the power is on. Should this be on all the time?
My bro can download and upload pics, mp3's in the US - am I doing something wrong? or did I get ripped off?
    Can someone help???

Julian, I am having trouble connecting my Motorola KRZRk1m to my Mac also, after reading your response here I decided to check it out. I called Verizon, the regular assistant couldn't help me so she gave me the number to Motorola's MOTOKRZRk1m's support center, after calling and asking them the tech confirmed your assumption. Not wanting to believe that a company could leave itself open to a class action lawsuit I called Verizon back again.
This time I reached their tech supervisor for the online services. I asked him flat out if Verizon had had Motorola disable the bluetooth functions for communicating with computers.
He said: "Why would we do that."
I said that the claim is so that you (Verizon) could make more money by forcing customers to use your online services.
He said: "If we did that we would leave ourselves open for lawsuits. That there was no way they would do such a thing."
    So, Julian, cite your sources.

  • Synchronization fails @ end of sync cycle sonyE w800 usb & bluetooth HELP!

I have tried everything I know to sort this problem . The phone still works fine for file transfer via bluetooth or usb i.e photos or mp3 etc . and there is no other problem with the phone .
I have made a master reset of the phone and deleted and rerergistered the phone as a bluetooth and bluetooth device several times .This also works fine Everything appears normal but isync fails . the problem first started about a week ago perhaps after a crash . I have also attempted to sync the phone via usb and receive the exact same error which leads me to think the problem is with isync rather than any of the protocols .
I deleted the isync and bluetooth prefs but didn't make any difference .
when I try to syncronize the phone , via isync , it runs fine but right at the end of the sync it returns the error" An unexpected error occured.
Device "W800i:-)" synchronization failed" . this is with usb or bluetooth synchronization .
opening console I can see the following type of dialogue over and over " 14:15:02.498 [iSync:2471] ERROR (.sync.SyncConduitManager): Exception catch: [ISyncConcreteSession clientRefusedChangesForRecordWithIdentifier:]: I know nothing about a record with identifier A6DF4542-842F-462C-B8CF-9EDA75DFF821. Are you sure you got it from this session or from the session's snapshot? If so, perhaps it has been deleted?
2007-01-28 14:15:03.682 iSync[2471] we receive the end of our sync plan".
This doesn't mean much to me but maybe can help someone help me .
btw the sE gives me the error message "session failed/communication interuptted" .
    any help appreciated .

Have you tried resetting the iSync history in iSync prefs?
Or syncing just contacts, or just calendars, to see if one will allow a full sync.
Or syncing just a small group of contacts.
There may be some corrupted data in either Address Book or iCal that is tripping iSync up.

  • Ok guys, BLUETOOTH HELP!!!

ive been trying to install the bluetooth for my Toshiba satellite x200 but this is nuts i have installed bluez and all other bluez related things and even installed blueman too but i got nothing, kdebluetooth was installed but does nothing when i click on the icon...how in the world do i install bluetooth!??

Bluetooth is a pain for me with bluez 4.x because of the lack of a hcid.conf file.  Maybe network.conf and main.conf work just as well, but the documentation for it is horrid.
For example, where can I put a default passkey in?  Who knows.  In 3.x is was easy... if the option is even supported in 4.x it's not documented (or atleast, not documented well).
Ever been to the bluez website?
Check out the FAQ page for some laughs... http://www.bluez.org/faq/
Seriously, I get more information off of web page placeholders. (i.e. http://bluez/)
So, nothing works like it should all the time.  When Bluez 4.x goes bad, you better pray for a miracle because not many people know what's going on with it -- and those who do ain't saying much.
Anyways, time to try and be helpful... I googled "toshiba 200x satelite" and got a laptop...  So, first off we'd need to know what you're trying to connect it to... Are you trying to pair it with a phone, headset/keyboard, or computer for file transfer?  It kinda matters, since you have to get different things up and running... Whether it's rfcomm (HID devices) or bnep (PAN)... you may need fuse/obex.
You'll need to install bluetooth and a bunch of dbus and python packages.  When you install arch, there's an option for the dbus-core package which is unchecked by default... you'll need that.  I never did get the bluez-simple-agent script working by the way (not on Arch, but I can do it in debian).
EDIT: In hindsight, probably need hal daemon running, too.
Try typing lsmod and see if bluetooth is running...  look for stuff like rfcomm or bnep... if you know you need bnep, try modprobing it.  See what happens when you type stuff like:
    hciconfig
    hciconfig hci0
    hciconfig down
    hciconfig up
    hciconfig piscan
It all starts at hciconfig to see if your device is even listed... I never had a problem at this point.  Bluez always detected my usb bluetooth devices, although sometimes I have to put it down and back up again, then turn on pscan (or pscan AND iscan).  Iscan should make your laptop detectable by other devices that are searching for bluetooth devices... atleast it did under 3.x....  4.x, not working for me.
Anyways, you'll atleast need UP RUNNING PSCAN turned on for your to do stuff with it.
    then try:
    hcitool scan
hopefully it'll show any discoverable bluetooth devices in your area.
there's a hcitool cc option for making connections.  Totally useful in a PAN setting... MAYBE it works for rfcomm, but I doubt it... no idea what it's for...  hcitool was a big letdown for me... only thing I can do with it that's useful is scan other devices and get info on them.
If your device is detected, and you just can't seem to get it paired (simple under 3.x... I can't do it under 4.x though) what you CAN do is put the bluetooth usb device in another computer running windows and pair it with that... in your case it might not help, since the bluetooth device is probably integrated into it... but if it's a USB device, then this works.
You only have to pair once... well, until you have to wipe your drive/phone/whatever...  and paired bluetooth devices go by the bluetooth address of the device itself, not what computer it happens to be in or anything.
Again, that part might not be very helpful to you in particular.
I've never set up a bluetooth over rfcomm... I imagine it's easier than a PAN over bnep, but I dunno... the rest won't apply for you if you're trying to connect to a headset or something.
    For rfcomm, type: rfcomm --help
You can make connections using that tool... for headsets or keyboards or something.
For PANs, clientside, you'll have to get bnep0 up, so you run:
    pand --connect <bt address> -n
where <bt address> is the bluetooth address of your device AB:D3:23:12:11 or somesuch.
The -n part shouldn't matter, but it often times does... I can't get it working as a daemon or in persist mode...  without the -n part, I'd never have gotten any pans working.  Anyways, then you'll probably have to type:
    ifconfig bnep0 up
if that doesn't do anything, well, don't give up, just try the next step anyways and see if it works:
    dhcpcd bnep0
maybe dhcpcd isn't found or whatever... well, try dhc and then hit the TAB button and look at the autocompletion... it could be dhcpclient or something like that.
At this point it'll either work, or not... if it doesn't, just the above again, or in a different order, or try random stuff with the following relavent commands and hope for a miracle:
    hciconfig
    hcitool
rfcomm (for HID devices... maybe for ppp connections... I never did anything over DUN for GPRS)
    pand
    ifconfig
    dhc<TAB KEY>
    ping 74.125.67.100
useful config files in 3.x:  hcid.conf
useful config files in 4.x:  none that  I know of, although main.conf and network.conf exist
the ping address is for google... easy one to remember.  Use it to see if you're network is working (if you're trying to get a PAN client set up).
The above is mainly about setting up bluetooth to connect to a PAN... it's all I use bluetooth for.  Hopefully that helps someone.  Sorry this isn't more readable... just going from memory.

For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide Learn How to Post and More I grasp that you lost the recovery partition and did not have access to recovery disks.  You did a clean install from a Windows disk and are now looking for the drivers. Here is a link to the HP Stream Notebook - 14-z050sa Drivers for your notebook where you can manually download and install the drivers. If for any reason the drivers do not work, please contact HP support to obtain a recovery kit. Please contact HP support at Contact HP Support I hope this helps!

  • W530 bluetooth help

    Greetings,
I installed an mSATA SSD in my new W530 and then put a clean install of win 7 on the new drive.  I downloaded all the drivers I could find, but I have run into a problem with the bluetooth driver.  When I try to install the driver, it goes through the process of installation, but then at a point it says it has not found any bluetooth devices and cancels the installation.  Is it referring to my bluetooth chip, or external bluetooth devices?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers,

Is the wifi switch on? Sounds like a stupid question, but it disables the bluetooth so windows won't see it, until it is enabled and the driver is installed

  • What does this symbol mean? and Bluetooth help!

Hi everybody. I recently installed the Nokia Advanced Bluetooth Car Kit, and today it kept failing to auto connect so I had to manually connect it everytime I got in my car.
Why has this started to happen today, and how can I get it back to automatically connecting.
Also, a weird symbol keeps coming up as it tries (and fails) to connect.
See following webpage for a picture.
Go to item 15, and look at the screen shot of the inside display. The icon that comes up is the one above the time, next to USB icon.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I seem to recall that the symol to the left is one that comes up when connected to a PC.
Can't try it at the moment to confirm.
If problem has just started, you may want to see if profile settings are different, is b'uetooth on etc or even reboot phone (switch off remove / replace battery?)
Have you searched other part of this forum for car kit options, as this may have a clue for similar issues on other phones.

  • Bluetooth help pairing with Jabra BT2040

On my 8300 the bluetooth is enabled but when I ask it to pair with a new device ( Jabra BT2040 headset) it doesn't find it.
Is it because on the bluetooth options "discoverable" is set to "no" and there is a red lock symbol next to it meaning I can't change it to "yes".
    Any ideas

    1) I do not know if the Blackberry device has to be "discoverable" in order to work with your Jabra.
    2) you can ask your IT admin why they blocked the "Bluetooth discoverability". They did that in the IT policy. Maybe it's just an error from them.

transfer of photos from ipod to ipad via bluetooth, help

The blluetooth isn't meant to do that. It's largely meant for headphones and keyboards.
now, if you have the camera connection kit  you can attach your iPod to your iPad using that (plugging the iPod's charging cable to the USB part of the CCK) and the photos will transfer. I've done it with my Touch.
