Bluetooth in car ios 8.1 still bad
8.1 has not fixed my Bluetooth conne took in my Mazda CX-9. I can receive calls but cannot make outgoing calls. I have to keep forcing the connection from the phone and it won't ring thru the car. Once someone answers on the other end then I can connect it. In ios 7 it used to ring thru the car speaker. I could also make calls thru Siri which no longer works.
Unless it is something specific to the vehicle, then it should be working. If you do a search, there were a number of problems, but most have been corrected with iOS8.1, then others are waiting for updates from the vehicle manufacturers. Did Mazda say they had any updates pending? Did you try going into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, or Reset All Settings. Many have reported those, in addition to removing the devices from the phone and car and then pairing again have corrected issues.

Since I updated my iphone 4 software from 4.3.3/4.3.5 - bought brand new only 2 weeks before the update came out - to iOS 5, my bluetooth no longer works in me ford fiesta and when I ring people, they literally can not hear a word I say. It has nothing to do with poor signal areas as they are the same areas I was in with the same phone before the software update! i have even sent for a replacement phone and received a reconditioned phone (after paying excess charge - JOKE!) and the same problem occured when I updated again. I cannot believe there is no downgrade as this iOS 5 is a shambles and to be honest, I see very little difference in terms of apps and photos so i have no idea why apple are recommending this upgrade!
Is there anything I can do to improve the fact that nobody can hear me on the phone when I speak?!! Or are apple going to insist I keep a phone that is of no use to me if I can't actually use it as a PHONE!

Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all?? -
I am facing the Bluetooth issue in ios 7.1 iphone.In ios 7.0 it works fine without any problem.I am using the EA framework for reading/writing the data in my application.Still I have not got any correct solution for this scenario. first you must put your iphone in the discover mode by going to bluetooth on your phone which places it in discovery mode. Them you must go to your car's bluetooth discovery mode and place it in discovery mode. If the phone sees the car and visa versa, the car will give you a code to place into your phone. Once you put the code into the phone the two will be linked. Make sure that your car has "automatic" link set so that your phone will link every time you turn on the ignition. Refer to your car's manual for more help or go to your dealer, they should be able to help you or even do it for you, but you need to know how to be able to discover and then link bluetooth devices yourself because every bluetooth device uses the same discovery formula especially if you want to use your IOS devices to play music through your system using bluetooth.

Yep, it will be specific to your model car, so you will need to look in the manual. It may be as simple as 0000, or not.

I Moved From New York To Florida, But Kept The Same WiFi/Router, But The Maps App and My iPod Touch(4th Gen. & iOS 6) Is Still Registering My Location In New York.
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds -
I recently updated my iPad to iOS 8 and still checking on the settings. When I happened to swipe on my screen for too long, it zoomed and I can no longer see what's on it. I can not even unlock it. I can not use my iPad anymore. What shall I do?
Try double tapping with three fingers and see if that reduces the screen image. If it does, unlock the iPad and go to Settings>General>Accessibility>zoom>Off. If double tapping with three fingers doesn't work, try triple tapping the home button instead.

There is no "update icon" in iOS versions earlier than iOS 5.
The update is very large (over 1.2 gigabytes). You need a good internet connection to download it to your computer. Maybe you'll need to take a trip to a city to get a good enough connection. -
Is the MOTOROLA® Roadster 2 Universal Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone compatible with the Iphone?
Roadster 2 does NOT work well with the iPhone 5 s, has to be unlocked for Seri to work. An older Motorola blue tooth device the T 325 does work fine, speaker is not as great as the Roadster. It is cheaper and simpler. Verizon, who sold me the iPhone and Roadster does not seem to know this, I'll be returning the Roadster ASAP. This was the second unit Verizon sold me, the first only announced the number calling and could not access my contacts.

Cannot remove bluetooth devices in iOS 8
In bluetooth settings, I am trying to remove a bluetooth device using iOS 8 on an iPhone 5; however, when I select the device, "Forget This Device" is greyed out and unavailable. I have done some searching and found that this can happen with jailbroken phones, but mine is not jailbroken. I now have two devices that are in my iPhone bluetooth settings that have this issue: my iMac and my iPad.
Anyone else seeing this or knows of a fix?I just found a solution that worked for me by disabling Handoff in both my iMac and my iPhone.
For OSX:
System Preferences → General and scroll down. Uncheck Allow Handoff between this Mac and iCloud devices
In iOS:
Go to Settings → General, scroll down and turn off the switch for Enable Handoff
I was then able to select forget for the desired bluetooth devices, and then switch Handoff back on. -
Upgraded to ios 8.1 still 3g problem persists
i have upgraded my iphone 5 to ios 8.1 still 3g dosen't work..............
The problem still persists...1) IMPORTANT- If you are using a Vzw Network Extender in your home or office, since update of iOS 8.1 you will always see extended mode on your phone, no matter what, for now. (4g HD calling not yet available through Vpn tunnel)
2) 8.1 apple update defaulted all the iPhone cellular mode LTE setting to data only. to fix, go to settings> Cellular > Enable LTE > Select Voice & Data. a check mark should appear within 30 seconds and Verizon will reappear on iPhone. If the check mark appears you are now back on Vzw cell network and have High Def calling. If not - complete a "hard reset on the iPhone" Do this by holding down your power button and home button until you see the apple logo on the screen, This actually disconnects the battery on the phone and forces the sim card to reach out to the towers and reinitialize settings.
If this does not work, toggle on and off Airplane Mode
If that does not work; go to settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings
Now if after all that your check mark does not appear or you get a pop box on the phone that says "call Vzw to enable LTE calls" then here is the solution:
Call Vzw, have them add the following 3 codes on your account:
A) Advanced Calling 1.0 - Vzw Feature Code 81143
B) High Def Voice - Vzw Feature Code 81158
C) High Def Access - Vzw Feature Code 81186
If you give the Vzw rep the three feature codes it will make your life easier because this is a very new issue!
Now you can hard reset and select LTE Voice and Data and get back on the Vzw Network -

I just went through this yesterday and because i am no where around my computer i lost everything and now my battery drains very fast...you are going to have to recover your phone i hope you have everything backed up and are next to your computer...if you are push and hold your home button and plug into PC at same time and continue to hold the home button untill you see your USB on your pc screen light up (depending on what type of pc maybe i dont know what you have)

iOS 8.2 still won't allow deletion of ALL email messages at once from my iPad? What could be the reason for this? The work-around solutions I see on Internet work erratically for me.
I'm an Android cellphone user so can delete all emails from my phone with a click or two. Is that a patent issue for Apple? There is no way to delete ALL email messages easily?Had the same problem. There is an undocumented way under another thread and it works, but is clunky and very un-Mac-like.

Wait May take a minute or two depending on how many emails are in your inbox but they will move to the right side
Then just touch trash
