Bluetooth in car - music but not calls

I can get my iPhone connected to my car (ML350) by bluetooth to play music but it doesn't relay phone calls through the car system. It used to be fine with ios6 but since I upgraded to ios7 I've had this problem. (I don't think it's the car since my wife's iPhone doesn't have this issue.) Any suggestions?
Another problem since the upgrade, which may well be related, is that whereas it used to connect automatically and start playing music without my taking any action, now I have to always press "Connect to last device" each time. Any suggestions on how to autoconnect would be appreciated too.

It sounds like you have more than one device paired to a single car. It's understandable that the car would be confused as to how to perform - especially when you and your wife are in the car at the same time. I think you need to start all over. My suggestion is to consult the vehicle's manual to delete the profiles for each device.
After that, pair one of the devices. Once you are sure that device is working properly, try to pair the other device.

When I pair my Xperia M2 with my PLT_BBTGO, eventhough both Phone Audio and Media Audio are checked, the media audio only seems to work. I tried placing a call while my bluetooth was paired and it only worked through the phone itself, instead of the headset. The same happened when I received a call. The music player works fine.
I've used these headset with my old Nokia phone, and they worked fine.

I have multiple devices, I can share itunes music but not my apple apps.

I have an imac, ipad and three iphone 5s. I can share my itunes music but not my apps. All three iphones have separate Apple id's. Thanks

Mac OS applications cannot run on iOS (or vice versa). If there is an iOS version of the same app available, use it for your iDevices.

Try:
- Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Otherwise you are out of luck. Apple is not making any more update for the 4G.
Also check with Phillips. Maybe they have an firmware update available

Make sure your own music files are saved in the proper folder (Digital sounds) whether in your memory card or the phone memory, the location should still be:
Sound Clips > Digital Sounds.
If your songs/mp3s are saved anywhere else, it will not show up as a selectable ringing tone.
You can move your songs through File Manager on your phone if they are in the wrong location (Options > Move to folder).

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

Hello - I have an Ipod touch and the sound was working with no problem, but now I can hear the music but not the actucal singing. I have read that it might be the playback speed, but I do not see an option to change that. please help!

Do you really mean the latest, as in 11.0.1? That was supposed to include a fix for Airplay.

I have the same problem, my girl-friend saved a bigger Gigabyte library from her old laptop before she sold it, then at some point she realized that she couldn't play many songs that she had transfered. Now, I paid those 30 quid as well, and it doesn't play 99% of the files, that is very frustrating, is there any way you got it revived?

One common cause of this is interference...try searching for other WiFi networks near you, see what channels they are using. Most folks just turn on their routers & the default channel is usually channel 1. You can try changing channels, with 1, 6 or 11 being the best, but find a channel that no network near you is using. See if that fixes things.

It is 2015 and iTunes still wants to tell me what to listen to. This problem still persists. The only solution I have found is to select "Manual ..." and pick one by one the items to sync.
When I select items to sync by artist or genre they do copy to the device. Then iTunes continues randomly selecting music until the device is full. When I want to load the Nano for a road trip I don't want 20% of the tracks to be Chakra meditation. When little Nano is docked on the nightstand alarm clock I DON'T want to hear Motorhead, Ministry, etc.
For all the effort aPple puts into seamless integration and ease of use ... Why the heck is it so hard to say NO? Sync these tracks and NOT those. Stop asking me to log in to your cloud service BTW. I do not want it.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). Yes, that's why I recommend one have more than TimeMachine as a backup because if certain files or folders are corrupted on the TM drive, your not logging into your migrated user account or not be able to transfer it what so ever.
Then it's a REAL PAIN and costs $99 to bit read the TM drive to get the files out, then it's mess to go through and sort all the empty placeholders from the real files as TM doesn't save duplicates in each state, just uses the previous state's copy if there are no changes.
If you create the same named user account on the new machine, and simply transfer files via a USB thumb drive and place say music contents into the Music folder, then it will work too.
Look into making clones of your boot drive, the benefit here is it's bootable, you can access the drive directly to pick and choose files, run the computer just like before etc.
