When I "google" in the car. (I'm not driving) My iphone makes a phone call. The call doesn't go thru. The display in my car says "call in" and then displays the timer.

Hi jl363
It's been some time since you posted your I phone problem. Did you ever resolve it? I am experiencing the same issue.

  • IPhone 5S bluetooth pairing with prius in-car phone Issue

Let me begin by saying that this is my first problem with any apple device!  EVER!!
I have an Verizon iPhone 5S, less than 2 months old, with the new OS 8.0.2 update and it will no longer pair correctly with my 2012 Prius V's in-car bluetooth phone.  You try to call someone, it doesn't connect and you can't hang up!!!! Then auto-calls them when you turn the bluetooth on (in the phone)... but doesn't physically make the call on the phone.  Now if the bluetooth in my phone is on, and I even start the car, the car states it's trying to call home.  I have attempted many of the following in different combinations with no success:
Tried to end the call on the car's interface (it won't turn off), pressed the hang up button on the steering wheel -- nada.
    Restarted Phone
    Turned Car on/off/on
Removed all pairings and re-paired them together
Made sure the LTE option was on (the iPhone 6 option, which seems to be relatively successful, for data and voice/voice only/data only is not an option on iPhone 5S)
Now, my husband has a Droid 4 and it works seamlessly with the bluetooth pairing.  The car does play, through the bluetooth, Audio through the phone.
I guess I should also state I did NOT have any issues with iOS 8.0 or the 8.0.1 upgrades with pairing with the car's bluetooth technology.  I have checked and my Entune "upgrades" are all up to date.

    Hello Sorridera,
The article linked below details a number of steps that can restore your iPhone's ability to correctly connect to your vehicle's Bluetooth system.

  • Since updating to iOS 5, my bluetooth and signal have been destroyed. Before the update, the phone worked perfectly, connecting to my bluetooth in car for both calls and music. Reception was also perfect. Now, my bluetooth doesnt work, and I cant be heard

Since I updated my iphone 4 software from 4.3.3/4.3.5 - bought brand new only 2 weeks before the update came out - to iOS 5, my bluetooth no longer works in me ford fiesta and when I ring people, they literally can not hear a word I say. It has nothing to do with poor signal areas as they are the same areas I was in with the same phone before the software update! i have even sent for a replacement phone and received a reconditioned phone (after paying excess charge - JOKE!) and the same problem occured when I updated again. I cannot believe there is no downgrade as this iOS 5 is a shambles and to be honest, I see very little difference in terms of apps and photos so i have no idea why apple are recommending this upgrade!
Is there anything I can do to improve the fact that nobody can hear me on the phone when I speak?!! Or are apple going to insist I keep a phone that is of no use to me if I can't actually use it as a PHONE!
    Please please help!

    Hi,
Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all??

  • I can't connect my iphone 4 via bluetooth with my car phone

I cant connect my iphone via bluetooth with my car phone. Bluetooth is switched on on the iphone and the car phone says ready for bluetooth telephony yet the phone just keeps on searching without connecting? Any ideas as Apple phone support doesn't start until 9am (not very accommodating for a company whose equipment runs 24/7)

    Car phone?
You are trying to connect your iphone to another phone?

  • IPhone5 bluetooth in car not finding phone

    Hi,
I am trying to pair my iPhone 5 with the bluetooth in my car.  It was connected, and worked just great.
Somehow, the connection was lost.  I try to pair, and I get a message saying "Unable to find device" and it suggests that I am out of range (I am not).
    Any help is much appreciated.

Is the car still listed in the Bluetooth of the iPhone? If not, then is Bluetooth turned on? If you turn Bluetooth off/on for the phone, what happens? Have you updated devices lately, changed phones, etc.? If the car is listed in the Bluetooth on the phone, then delete it, power the phone off/on and then try again.

  • HT4623 What is the passcode to pair phone to bluetooth in car

I lost my pairing after downloading the new IOS 7. I don't know what passcode I need to pair phone to bluetooth in car. I tried the code to unlock the phone and that doesn't work.

Yep, it will be specific to your model car, so you will need to look in the manual.  It may be as simple as 0000, or not.

  • Bluetooth conection to car phone

Hi last week i bought a new car and paired the z10 to the phone no problem i then had a update notice on my phone i downloaded the update but my phone will not ring or take call throught the phone how do i get rid of the update as nissan say the car phone is fine its the phone . help

Sometimes unfortunately the auto company people don't know a lot about BlueTooth devices and how to set them up. So, you may need to dig further.
Before you go back to them, check if your Bluetooth is turned on. Swipe down from the top edge of the screen. There is a Bluetooth icon in the top right of the icons which come down. Is it blue or white? If it's white, then it's turned off and you just need to touch that icon to turn Bluetooth on.
Dig deeper by pressing on the word BlueTooth. Does it show that your car's bluetooth is paired. It should show the name of the car's bluetooth (I don't know if it will appear as your car model but that's determine by your car's system.) If it's grey then it's just not connected. It should however say "Paired" on the right side. If it's not paired or doesn't appear, then you just need to pair it again with the Bluetooth on your car.
The BlueTooth section of your Z10 manual is at http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/47561/mes1334609105805.jsp
You may need your Nissan manual for the vehicle also to setup pairing.

  • HT204387 what is the bluetooth pairing default code to connect to bluetooth device (car).

What is the bluetooth pairing code to connect to bluetooth device (car) for iphone 4 w 7.os

first you must put your iphone in the discover mode by going to bluetooth on your phone which places it in discovery mode. Them you must go to your car's bluetooth discovery mode and place it in discovery mode. If the phone sees the car and visa versa, the car will give you a code to place into your phone. Once you put the code into the phone the two will be linked. Make sure that your car has "automatic" link set so that your phone will link every time you turn on the ignition. Refer to your car's manual for more help or go to your dealer, they should be able to help you or even do it for you, but you need to know how to be able to discover and then link bluetooth devices yourself because every bluetooth device uses the same discovery formula especially if you want to use your IOS devices to play music through your system using bluetooth.

  • Directory import from 9720 to car phone

    Hello,
I've just bought a 9720 and I cannot import the directory to the car phone. The car is a Megane3 and the 9720 is well connected.
I had before an old blackberry and there was no problem.
    Please help !

    Hello,
Here are the way I do (the following texts are in French as my blackberry writes them). My blackberry is connected with the car :
I go in the blackberry menu :
    - Configuration
    - Bluetooth
    - My_Radiosat (it is the name of the car phone)
    Then I lauch :
    - Transférer les contacts

  • E51 cannot tranfer phone contacts to Car phone dir...

Can anyone help here! I cannot transfer my contacts list via bluetooth from my E51 phone sim card to the cars phone directory.I can made and receive calls ok and I've read all the instructions, even the demo video! I could always do this with my 6230i no problems ! Help please

    Hi all,
The "Contact Download Application" is not a complete solution for this problem. I have a Parrot 3200-LS which worked fine with my old 6230i - the contacts synched across and the call log (outgoing/incoming/missed) was accessible through the Parrot.
Running the Application on the E51 does force the contacts onto the Parrot, but it never stops (the animation on the Parrot constantly rotates - you never get a "synch finished" message). Running the application in the background constantly must also run the battery down. The call log does not get synched at all.
So surely this is a band aid fix with a firmware update in the pipeline? Otherwise the sheer convenience may force me back to my 6230i.

If your car supports Phone Book Access Profile(PBAP), you don't need to do anything on your phone other than pair. The phone supports PBAP.

  • Nokia 616 car phone with E51

    Hi,
So I have the Nokia 616 bluetooth car phone, I had the E50 and it worked fine, but ever since I got the E51 it never picks up a network when I connect. I manage to connect and download my contacts, my phone goes into remote sim mode as it should but anytime I try and make a call there's no network and it tells me "no network coverage" any ideas?

I think you need to head over to the Forum Nokia Site.

  • Iphone 6 w/8.0.2 dials wrong number over bluetooth in car

I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0.2  I drive a 2014 Nissan Altima.  When I make a call over bluetooth in my car, and select a name from my phone book, the screen in my car will display the correct name from my phone book, but will actually dial the person listed before the person I intended to call in my phone book. Example:
    Contact List:
    John White
    David Whitmore
When I say "call David Whitmore" the screen in my car will display "Calling David Whitmore" and my bluetooth system will respond that I am calling David Whitmore, but it will actually dial John White.  I've tried this with several other names in my contact list, and my car always dials the number of the person listed before the person I actually want to call in my contact list.  I had this same phone before updating to iOS 8.0.2 and had no issues whatsoever.  Anyone else having this issue or have any ideas as to what's going on?

Hey folks- this certainly did the trick for me!

Re: iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2 - Bluetooth connectivity dropping HYUNDAI SONATAin response to Cossio
I have got a 2012 Sonata Hybrid and mine is worked quite well. Is this phone an upgrade from an older phone? Did you restore from a backup of another iPhone. Did you name the new phone the same as the old phone. If this is the case, it can confuse the vehicle's Bluetooth system. Go to the phone and remove the vehicle from the list, turn off Bluetooth on the phone. Do a reset, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Go to the vehicle, remove the phone from the list in the vehicle. Turn the vehicle off and then back on again. This will clear the system. Now turn the vehicle back on and put it into discovery/pairing mode. Go to the phone and turn on Bluetooth, which puts it into discovery/pairing mode. The two should connect with no issues.
    EDIT: Sorry, I didn't  mention I have a 5S with iOS8.0.2.

  • Bluetooth disconnects from phone

I am a new Motorola Droid 3 user. I have tried 3 different blueteeth....a Jabra BT135, a Plantronics 520 and a Samsung HM3500. All three have the same issues. 1.) the connection between the earpiece and the phone breaks frequently. Sometimes when this happens, the phone automatically goes to speakerphone, sometimes not. 2.) it does not recognize many of the contact names and the names that it gives as options aren't even close. 3.) Frequently it will say "Opening message" when I request it to make a call. The issues defeat the purpose of hands free, since I usually have to pull off of the road and manually use the contact list to make a simple phone call or to reconnect the bluetooth.

Another thought I had was it was the "BluetoothDUN" process that may be causing it. I ended it, and tried another conversation. The result was a failure.
This means my original theory is still valid. Does anyone have any input or similar experiences. Furthermore, could people post the apps they have downloaded & installed, to see if we can find a correlation there?
The VZW store employee who I spoke with when I had the issue with my original phone suggested that it could be an older bluetooth adapter causing the issue. However, I can see this causing issues with disconnecting, but once the system disconnects, the bluetooth on the phone is supposed to be smart enough to disconnect the bluetooth. I noticed that bluetooth was still showing "connected" in the top menu bar. This leads me to believe that the bluetooth unit in the phone is defective (indicating there is a rash of defective bluetooth devices), or the software is buggy.
    Hi Mordhelm,
I understand your discontent. I would be frustrated if my Bluetooth connection failed at random. I checked my resources and this issue is not noted as a known issue with this device. This issue could be the result of some third party app conflict. Run your Droid 3 on Safe Mode for while using your Bluetooth device and see if this resolves the issue. Safe Mode temporarily disables all applications that have been installed via the Android Market. Performing this troubleshooting step is necessary to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue.
If issue continues while running phone in safe mode the next troubleshooting step will be to do a Factory Reset. Please keep in mind that performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
