Bluetooth is not working like before Ios 4.0 on 3GS

Since i have the update from soft 3.x to 4.0 i have problems in my car to connect to the Car Bluetooth Car-Kit.
I have a original BMW bluetooth Car-Kit wich was working perfect.
Since the update to version 4.0 most of the times it would not connect automaticly with the Car. so the connection is not always there.
After a little bit of pressing settings (bluetooth) on the phone the connection is made.
I am affraid to update again to the newer one 4.01 because maybeit will not working anymore.
Before the update to 4.0 there was no problem at all , everytime when in the car the connection was made automaticly without any problems. Now it is 2/10 auto connected.
Already removed the connection and paired it . but the result is the same. No stable automatic connection. Once connected there is no problem until next Car-Ride.
Anyone with a solution ?

Thanks for your response ... yeah that's exactly what I wound up doing and it worked. Man what a nasty upgrade this has been.
Didn't expect to have to do a full restore of the iPOD. Of course that takes all the personal settings you made and nuked them back to the factory settings plus the latest system upgrade ... but hey ... it solved the problem. Wonder what's next?

I have an iPhone 5S and I use a Plantronics PLT M20 model bluetooth headset. I am no longer able to answer calls by pressing the button on the headset, since updating to iOS 8. I also also cannot end calls by pressing the button on the headset. This only happened after iOS 8. The Apple Care rep stated that "this is most likely a problem with the bluetooth manufacturer and they need to update their firmware, so now it's just a waiting game until they do that". Is that correct? Anyone encountering this?

Hi - I'm a student with disabilities and rely heavily on accessibility features that make my life easier. For example, I use a Bluetooth headset to trying answer phone calls and use Siri… I especially use the "Raise to speak" option for accessing Siri. Since updating my iPhone five us and my iPad air, I've been scrambling to access the "raise to speak" option for Siri without success. When I called AppleCare, the representative stated I should have that option to enable in my settings. When I explained to her that the option is not showing, she wanted me to reset my phone to factory settings. When I told her I googled the issue and found that it may have been removed in iOS 8… She put me on hold, Came back and told me I was right.
What's worse is that that my Bluetooth headset is no longer working with my iPhone 5S. She stated that it may being I needed adjustment from the manufacturer of the headset– Plantronics. All I know is that the apple care representatives seem confused and I am extremely disappointed in this really impacts my use of Siri and my phone.
When I asked her to submit feedback to her supervisor or the powers that be… I was simply asked to submit feedback to the Apple.com website. While I understand Apple might read that feedback, I also recognize that they don't reply and I don't feel that is great support to someone like me who has a disability and needs a solution. The"Hey Siri" option is not working for me.
Does anyone have any workarounds for the "Raise to speak" problem or the Bluetooth problem? Specifically, the Bluetooth issue is when I try to hit the button on my Bluetooth headset to answer a call or end the call. It's a Plantronics PLT M20 model.

Follow-up to my earlier post that iPhone 6 Bluetooth not working correctly. I purchased a Jawbone MiniJambox to use as a speaker phone in my office. Everyone in our company thinks they are the best. However, it is experiencing the same issues as with all my other Bluetooth headsets. Everything works except cannot answer or hang up calls pushing the buttons on the Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth patio speakers in our courtyard also have the same issue. However, my colleagues using iPhone 5 and 5s who did not update to iOS8 are using all Bluetooth devices without any issues. Apple says it is a problem with my Bluetooth device. Come on Apple.... This makes 7 different Bluetooth devices with different manufacturers. You cannot possibly believe the problem is with the Bluetooth devices when iOS7 works perfectly fine...
On another issue, my iPhone 5s worked perfectly fine in my vehicle entertainment center connected via USB. The vehicle entertainment center had complete control of my iPhone and iTunes. However, now I plug in my new iPhone 6 and it no longer communicates with my vehicle entertainment center. Again when I called Apple, they said my vehicle entertainment center needed a firmware update. Are you kidding me... That is a bunch of BS...!!!

Not working like before

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and things aren't working the same.
1. I no longer get the creative modules like before it's just a generic box the old one kind of looked like a jam box.
2. I doesn't have the creative icon in the tray it's just the generic windows speaker icon.
3. I don't have an EQ anymore it just gives options on where are we playing... ?Like Jazz Hall.

Javascript bookmarklets not working like before

I use 1 line javascript bookmarklets.
They have the code %5Cn which used to send a carriage return, line feed so that I could have some text on 1 line, and the rest on a new line. But that does not work anymore. Everything is on the same line since updating to Safari 3.0.4.
I also tried using %5Cn%5Cr which should put a new line, carriage return. It did not make any difference.
What else could I try?

I've been experimenting with this and still can't get it to work.
Any one have any ideas?

Sends not working like before.

So, I was sends a lot. I worked in studios for 3 years so thats just how I was raised. I noticed in Logic 9 that when you adjust the volume on a track, that feeds the AUX. Seems kinda odd, as logic 7 and 8 never did this. Its kinda frustrating when your trying to layer reverbs and delays. I only, and only ever have used post pan to get stereo AUXs. Am i missing something? Or am I completely insane? It seems like the only way to feed AUXs was with the send knob, and they never moved no matter what I did to the channel strip volume.

You can also route tracks output directly to a bus/aux. But you are looking for pre fader sends. Just clickhold the send slot until the pre and post choices pop up.

Help accessing NAS - not working like before iCloud...

So before upgrading my mobileme account to iCloud I was able to acces a hard drive attached to my airport extreme remotely. I believe this was done by enabling back to my mac in mobileme. When opening the finder, the NAS would appear in the sidebar. This worked when I was away from home and connected to the internet on a network other than my home network.
Since upgrading to iCloud when on a network other than my home network, the NAS doesn't appear in the sidebar as it normally did. Trying to mount the drive remotely by clicking on recent items isn't working either.
I enabled back to my mac in iCloud, but that doesn't seem to have worked. Any idea?

Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

I Am IT support for a large Company also using iPhone 4s. I can confirm this issue as employee's start upgrading to iOS7.0.2 Bluetooth and wifi working fine on iOS 6.x as soon as upgrade to 7.0.2 Wifi Toggle greyed out, No wifi MAC address, bluetooth not working.
Have tried all suggestions on various forums to no avail .
Even a DFU recovery and set up as a new iPhone failes to fix the issue.
Have advised users if they have this issue to return the phones to Apple.
Also discussing with Other IT collegues in company to send out a bulletine asking employees NOT to upgrade to iOS 7 at this stage.
Whilst my company iPhone upgraded fine, it would appear not all do. I suspect different versions of the WIFI and Bluetooth hardware would be the cause of this issue. This would explaine why some upgrade ok and others do not.

The solution that worked for me was to Backup and then Restore.
For the backup: you can do it via iTunes (plug the iPhone and right click over its icon on the Devices section and then choose Back Up) or download your photos, contacts and other important documents to your Mac using iPhoto (just download your photos) or apps like My Contacts Back Up (it will email you the full list so you can upload it to the iPhone later). Make sure you backup properly please!
After you have done the back up choose Restore in iTunes and that will erase all the files and apps from the iPhone so it will be back to the settings it had on the day you used it for the first time (you'll be able to recover all the apps you paid for since they'll be linked to the Apple ID you used to purchase them).
The iPhone will still have the latest version of iOS (6.1.3) so if the problem is -like in most cases- software related it would be fixed and you'll able to pair the device again. If not maybe you will have to downgrade the iOS to the previous version.

I updated my iphone 4S to 7.1.1. Immediately after doing this, my wifi is greyed out, (cannot even turn it on), and my bluetooth is not working at all. I have discussed with Apple several times and even went to an apple service center. They claim that I have a HW issue and that I must pay $200 for another phone. HAving been a cell phone HW designer for 15 years, I know this is not true. If this is a HW issue, it was caused by the FW update. There is a problem with my phone that is a direct result of the FW update. If I could go back to the previous version, I could prove it but there is no way for me to do that. So, it looks like iphone has released an update that "breaks" some phones. What an easy way to force people to pay them $200 for a new phone. Hmmm, if other electronic manufacturers catch on to this, we are screwed. Apple has seen the issues on the internet and has seen the issues reported on thier own Communities. They know that many people are reporting the same problem. If I can look it up, anyone can. They know that they have screwed up. So instead of biting the bullet and fixing what they broke, (peoples phones), they are taking advantage of the opportunity to make more money by telling people that they have a HW problem that they are not responsible for and that it is going to cost $200 to fix what Apple has screwed up. Just let me go back to the previous version of the IOS and my phone will work again. Is anyone else having this same issue? Has Apple lost it? I have been more than pleased with my phone. I have been thrilled with customer support. What is going on with apple? Samsung is looking better every minute.

Even if it is a hardware problem they should fix it regardless of warranty. If you buy a car and after 1.5 years the doors fall off due to a failure in their design and construction, do you think the car manufacturer could pull off what Apple is trying to do? Yes the car still delivers its primary objective of driving from A to B, but significant functionality has been lost due to their fault.
It is the same with this iPhone wifi problem. Apple are a disgrace, I have had significant Apple Hardware failures with my MacBook Pro and iPhone within 2 years of purchase. Pathetic quality.

This sounds more like a hardware issue.
Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty?

Can you be more specific about what isn't working? Are you running iOS 6 or iOS 6.1?
