Bluetooth just doesn't want to work

I have a new mac pro that I am trying to sync with my mac book pro. For some reason, neither computer seems to find any other bluetooth capable machines. Both have the bluetooth on and are discoverable. Anybody know what's going on? I also have a lot of contacts on my LG V phone which I would love to get on the new computers. My phone seems to recognize my computer but then it doesn't seem to want to sync anything. Anybody have ideas for me? Thanks.

gmail won't work in Firefox for me and I literally went to every forum an threat I could find and followed all of these instructions but I just can't get the damn thing to work, i even installed the Gmail panel app but I just won't work, it gives me the standard message that I need to enable my cookies, privacy, ... etc and I did all of that and all of the the other stuff (clear cache & cookies, change to 'no proxy', made a new profile, changed the file manually in the folder, etc.) and it just won't work and it's driving me insane. I would advice you not to follow the above advice as that will cause you to delete the Firefox profile folder and you lose all your personal data (bookmarks and other data).
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

FaceTime just doesn't want to work.

I'm really struggling with my iPhone 4S and FaceTime so hoping someone will have some logical guidance for me!
So, UK customer, on Three, but know FaceTime needs wifi - fine.
Trying to call my sis, also iPhone 4 user. On her home wifi, also a Three customer.
Not working.
We have both tried reading through help material online and getting know where fast....
Tried resetting, turning messaging off and on - most normal routes to try to get the darn thing going - but nothing. It comes up with an error message saying "Not available for FaceTime"..... thoughts anyone?!

Hi everyone: Please this is getting real annoying: I have tried both from within the DM to open MusicSync and outside
the DM and each time I even try to install it it says "MusicSync has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" . deleted the progream and downloaded it again about 4 times now. Can anyone help?

CS3 doesn't want to work any more

Hello,
I have an old version of the creative suite that is all right for what I do (information for a charitable organisation for medical research) installed in 2008. For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.
What can I do ? Help !

I had my CS3 freezing this morning on startup. I hope you didn't reinstall or
anything bacause the sollution is quite simple: What helped me was restarting
Photoshop with the internet cable pulled out. Apperently it was freezing on
the registerscreen, and by removing the internet cable I surpassed that
screen, to see another screen.after that i could start it up again with the
internet cable plugged in again.

Ipod 20 Gb click wheel just doesn't want to turn on

I received my ipod one year ago and till last week I have never had any problems with it.Since last week it just doesn't want to turn on.I have done every step that it is said on the site that i should do in this situation and my ipod still doesn't turn on.When i try to restart it,it shows me the apple icon but it does not go any further.I can't get into my menu not even after I placed it on the Disk mode.I can hear it trying to open but never succeds.What am I supposed to do?And even if I should get it to a Service I don't even know where I could do that in Romania.
I would appreciate any kind of help.

It sounds like your Click Wheel iPod is showing a sad iPod icon. If it will go into Disk Mode you may be able to restore it, take a look at the article and quote below for more information about the alert and possible resolutions.

Resolution
In most cases, the sad iPod icon indicates a hardware issue. If you are able to force iPod into Disk Mode, then it may not be a hardware issue, and you should try to restore your iPod with the latest software.
If you cannot force your iPod into disk mode and restore it, then your iPod is in need of service. Set up an iPod Service Request or make a reservation at the Genius Bar before visiting your local Apple Retail Store. To make a reservation:

Choose an Apple Store location.
Click the Reserve link under Genius Bar.
Choose iPod.

If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. Could be a bad headphone jack.

Apple TV just doesn't seem to work as a decent experience.

I have bought quite a few movies, and was feeling this was a good decision... but that's changed quickly and I now feel it was a complete waste of money.
The last half dozen movies have all stopped at least a few times (one stopped about ten times!) in progress while it waited to load.
The latest I started last night, gave up after 26 minutes (it was stopping so often and taking so long0... I tried to resume it today, and it seemed to be fine and then just stopped... and to make matters worse, disappeared ENTIRELY!
If I want to finish the movie I rented... I have to rent it again and then go through the whole stop start process again...
This is terrible... the experience is terrible, I will - obviously - be doing all I can to discourage people from buying apple tv... which is sad because, for the first month or so, I was telling my friends they should sign up... but it just doesn't work... and that's very frustrating.
If anyone has advice, I am happy to hear it... but I can't imagine what you can do when it's so consistently bad as an entertainment experience.

Chances are it's your internet connection.
If you can play things under the Computers tab from your local itunes library without issues then your LAN is likely to be fine.
AppleTV2 does not play well with slow/variable interent connections for rentals.
Basically it calculates how much needs to download to flash memory to allow continuous playback without interruption at the rate your internet connection is delivering - if this rate drops due to more users in your area or perhaps throttling of bandwidth by your ISP then the calculation will be wrong and movies will stop/start.
If you simply have a slow connection, then you have to wait for much of the movie to download first, this may take some hours. On AppleTv1 the presence of an internal drive made this much more robust as the movie would stay on the unit until the rental/view period had expired. It might take hours to download (so rent in advance of viewing) but once it was there it would stay until expiration. AppleTV2 however does not retain the download and often if you restart the film it has to start downloading from scratch which I think is crazy.

I wish they had the option to 'lock the download in memory' until viewed or deleted - this would limit you to 1 HD movie rental at a time in order to keep enough free for other tasks/local streaming usage, but would make the device far more practical for slow connections.
You should test your internet connection at say speedtest.net on the computer.
Just as estimates I'd say:
1Mbps - probably 12 hours+ to start watching HD, less for SD
3-4Mbps - 20-30 mins to start watching HD, within a minute for SD (my speed)
8Mbps+ - watch within a few seconds
If you go to Settings and in iTunes store options change to SD from HD you may find you can watch far quicker with any new rentals, but if you want HD it defeats the purpose.

If you have the HP 2605dn printer attached to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) (or any router) by Ethernet, then the AEBSn is NOT performing as a Print Server. Instead, the printer itself would have to be configured to provide this service.
I don't have this particular printer, but I do have a network-ready HP Officejet model that I have my network clients (Macs, PCs, & even Linux) connect to. The key is either using the unit's interfact panel to configure the appropriate network settings specific for your network.

Hi, I've been using facetime for how many times already but when i wished to use it again, it doesn't want to activate. what could possibly the reason? should i contact my network?

I was able to use FaceTime before, and some "glitch" happened and I was unable to so I did do the restore. I even went to the Apple Store to figure it out and that's all the guy told me to do was to restore it. Actually he did it for me, but I believe a restore will help.
You can always download your apps again for free. But make sure you get off playlists/video/photos, use iCloud if you have the room for other stuff too.

Decided it doesn't want to work anymore

I've had the iPod Remote for about three months now, and it recently decided that it doesnt want to work properly. I can adjust volume fine, but pausing and skipping tracks won't work. Any ideas?

I don't think that there's anything you can do with the radio/remote except get it looked at by Apple.
Maybe take it to a store near you?

My iMac keeps waking up or it just doesn't want to sleep.

My 2009 iMac wakes up spontaneously or doesn't want to sleep. I have made sure no keys were pressed, no programs running, and the system doesn't wake from network activity. Is there a way to fix it? It all started as soon as I installed Yosemite.

I had a problem similar to this and the problem was my mouse (what kind of mouse is on the Mac?) - it was so sensitive that very minor vibrations (like a door closing or a big truck driving by) would cause it to wake up the computer when I had put it to sleep. I simply power down my mouse after putting my Mac to sleep and the problem went away. Turn on the mouse and move it a bit and the system would wake up when I wanted it to, not randomly any longer...
Another possible issue is waking up from network accesses - this is in the "Energy Saver" System Preferences pane (in the Power Adapter tab) - do you have other computers or devices that might be trying to access the iMac while it was asleep?
