  • Where can I get an EPSON printer for the original iMac?

Where can I get an EPSON printer for the original iMac?

You should look for an Epson Stylus Color 740 or the higher-end 900 or 980, which are about 12 years old now.  All have USB connectivity, and while the 900/980 is a better/faster printer, it's harder to find the ink tanks for it at the usual office supply stores.  Ink tanks for the 740 series seem to be more readily available, without a special order.  There were Mac versions of these printers (the 740i and 900i), with blue/ice housings that were color-keyed to match the fruit-colored "blueberry" iMac and Blue & White G3 mini-tower.  There was no Epson printer that was color-keyed to the original Bondi Blue iMacs.

  • Developing mobile apps for the blackberry platform

    Hello all
I'm interested in developing mobile apps for the Blackberry smartphone and read that the best way to do it is with Java. Any advice on how to do this?
I would be starting from scratch as I don't have a programming background but am keen to learn. Also can anyone recommend any introductory books that are really good at learning Java?
    Many Thanks
    praetor

    Hi praetor,
    welcome to the SDN.
Programming for a mobile device is sort of advanced and you need to know the basics first. As you have no programming background this is even more important.
Do yourself a favor and forget about the blackberry for a few months and learn programming basics first.
Here are a few links to get you started with the Java SE (Standard Edition, for your local PC, nothing fancy):

  • Is there a manual I can PRINT for the Airport Utility Software Version 5.5.3 for Windows?

Is there a manual I can print for the Airport Utility Software Version 5.5.3 for Windows?
If there is, I can't seem to find it anywhere (in the Software, by using Google, etc).

I dont' believe there were manuals out there for different versions of the utility. That would be quite a few different manuals.
There are different manuals for the different base stations however...

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

  • Looking for a mobile printer for my car/ on the road work for my IPAD2

Looking for a printer I can use in my car and where ever necessary.

I've been happily printing for a while from my iPad to my battery-operated HP H470 with absolutely no wires (and no router / pre-existing WiFi connection - it operates in AdHoc mode). Literally just the iPad and the H470 - in fact, one time in a marquee in the middle of a muddy field with no power and a long way from the nearest WiFi connection, so it can be done from literally anywhere.
Once I'd sorted it all out, I wrote down the solution and the steps to get it to work in the hope of helping others:

  • How to set up bluetooth on printer for wireless printing

hp officejet 100 mobile printer,  can it be setup to print from ipad2

Apple mobile devices like the iphone and ipad do not support the required bluetooth printing protocol. There is at this point in time no way to print via bluetooth with those devices. From a mac laptop, or from other bluetooth mobile devices that do support bluetooth printing it would work fine.

  • Compatable mobile printer for iPad 2

I posted earlier and forgot to mention that I need it to be a MOBILE printer that would work with the ipad2 with apps.....

There are a couple of HP options ... I've been happily printing for a while from my iPad to my battery-operated HP H470 with absolutely no wires (and no router / pre-existing WiFi connection - it operates in AdHoc mode). I also couldn't find any info on a true mobile printing solution for iPad (or iPhone/iPod for that matter) but felt sure it must be possible, somehow - so once I'd sorted it all out, I wrote down the solution and the steps to get it to work in the hope of helping others:

  • How do I set a noise print for the entire track? (Back to Basics)

Ok. I've only worked in STP with single audio clips. Now, I'm trying to adjust audio inside a Multi-Track project sent from FCP... and it's a little different. At least to a guy like me.
I'm struggling with the most basic issue, and that's possibly why I can't find an answer to it.
Simply, "How do I go about setting a noise print for an entire track?" I've done this for a single audio clip, but now that I'm in a slightly different environment my old ways don't work. I've looked through video tutorials hoping to find something but no luck.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    JS

With the audio opened in SoundTrack Pro, select (highlight) a small portion that only contains the noise that you want to reduce.  Sample that section. then select the entire audio clip and use the Noise Reduction tools to reduce the noise that you sampled earlier.

  • Looking for Some Recommendations on A Printer for the 15" MPB

    Hello-
I have a 15" retina display MBP configured in the works. I have only used Cannon printers in the past with my Apple computers and prefer to stay with a Cannon for the new MBP retina dispaly. I am looking for some personal recommendations to look at from people that have a current Cannon printer/scanner and are pleased with the machine.

I got one with my computer that I love. I'm a fan of all-in-ones because I have every function there if I need it. Plus, this one has airprint, so you can have the printer join your wifi network, and instantly print to it from any iOS device or Mac without any setup - it just works.

  • Found a bluetooth keyboard case for the A2109 tablet

I found a nice bluetooth keyboard case that fits the A2109 tablet. It is really for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablet, but the A2109 fits fine.  It is available at Amazon. Look for the
MiniSuit Removable Qwerty Keyboard Case + Stand + Wake/Sleep for Kindle Fire HD 8.9" (PU Leather) for $29.95.
The case is "folio-style", made from fake leather, and has a removeable bluetooth keyboard that syncs up easily with the tablet. Hitting any key on the keyboard will wake up the tablet. It has arrow keys and 12 function keys that make the outfit very laptop like. Also, has additional functions for volume, video control, and quick return to home, back, and lock.
You will need to use an exacto knife to cut holes for the power switch, volume control, and headphone jack. The usb port is exposed, and I do not care about using the hdmi port while its in the case. The front camera is exposed, but there is no cutout for the back camera.
So far, I really like it.  I hope thispost helps others who are looking for a decent case solution.
