Bluetooth Motorola H700 earpiece no audio

This is my first Itouch and trying to use Bluetooth.
My BT pairs with Itouch 4G.
I can give voice commands to operate music player, but sound comes from external speaker of Itouch. How do I get the sound to BT device?

I looked at the Motorola site and can't find if the H700 supports the A2DP profile. Thee two site only mention the hand free and headset profiles. A lot of headsets use the HFP (hands free profile) that the iPod does not support.

I have a Motorola S9 stereo headphones and when I use it for podcasts there is an icon where I can select the BT headphones or internal speaker for sound. Do you se a similar icon?

  • IPhone and Bluetooth Motorola H700

The Motorola H700 can be paired with the iPhone.
See step by step instruction posted at:

I use Motorola H700 with iPhone. Used to use it with Samsung for 1 year. Got the iPhone and it paired right up. Very happy. Heard the "Jawbone" was better. Went and bought one at Best Buy, ($139) had problems pairing it but after 2 days got it to work. It sucked. Noise canceling didn't work and the plastic over the ear felt like someone was squeezing my ear with pliers.
Stick with the 700. I go to bed at night sometimes and reach up to my ear and the 700's there. I'd been wearing it all day and didn't even know it was there.

  • Bluetooth won't pair (Motorola h700  cell phone headset )

I have been trying to pair the Motorola H700 headset I use with my cell phone with my new iPod touch.
It will not pair. Is the headset I use with my cell phone different, or should it be able to pair for use with apps like Skype on my iPod Touch????

Could you please clarify? I understand your point that bluetooth headsets that are only designed for phone calls won't work with the touch, but don't most bluetooth headsets that play music also handle phone calls. For instance, the samsung bluetooth headset that I use with my Windows mobile Omnia will play music and phone calls and skype and voip calls. And it is my understanding that the touch supports skype and voip.

  • Motorola H700 automatically disconnects.

I am having a lot of trouble with my Motorola H700 headset. I can pair easily, and the headset even shows up in my System Preferences, but I get the "Bluetooth Audio Failed" or "Disconnected" errors when I try to use them as Input or Output.
I noticed in Bluetooth Preferences that in the Devices tab, the "Connected:" spot goes back and forth between Yes and No, it seems for no particular reason as the headset sits 6 inches from the machine. Eventually, it just stays disconnected.
    Any help is much appreciated.

Alexander, good feedback. (Oh, BTW my Nokia HS-26W did include a step down adapter in the box, just FWIW) I noticed this sequence of events this morning(generally speaking): I powered up my PBook with the (Nokia) headset(HS) left powered off. Then, after charging the HS I powered it on. Then, all the "problems" from the past re-occurred, and of course I was very perplexed. Then, I powered the HS on and powered the Mac off/on via restart. Viola, everything worked as well as yesterday (see my previous post). I am beginning to wonder if the "problem" in some/many cases may be related to this kind of 'sequence of events', especially considering the fact that you have been successful with all of those different HS. Perhaps something as simple as a "general usage guidelines" would be useful. Dunno. Anyway, I am probably gonna be more scarce 'round these parts, although I will check-in from time to time, mostly because I seem to be off and running with my HS needs satisfied. Thanks to everyone who has helped in general.

  • Trouble Using Motorola H700

I have a Motorola H700 that was paring and working just fine with my 8GB iPhone. With the release of 1.1.3 I, like many others, had problems with Bluetooth. During a call, I could hear the recipient in my headset just fine, but there was nothing coming through on their end. I thought the release of 1.1.4 would fix this, but to no avail. I have paired the headset with a friend's phone (not iPhone) and it works fine, so I know the microphone is functioning. I have googled solutions and have tried some popular ones:
    1. Resetting network settings.
    2. Airplane mode toggle.
    3. Unpairing and repairing
    4. Restoring my iPhone
NONE of these solutions have worked for me. Does anyone have any other suggestions???
    Thanks

You're going to have to be more descriptive as to what the issue could be. For example, were there any specific error messages that was returned when you tried to duplicate the Mac OS X disc on to, what I presume, is a separate disc or USB pen drive?

  • Help pairing Motorola H700 Headset

I've been trying to pair my h700 headset with my powerbook G4. However, it seems to get tuck on the bluetooth assistant. For example, I start the assistant, and it sees the device, but then it just sits there and contiunes searching for other headset devices. Or, if I select 'Continue' after it finds my device (but while it's still searching), it just sits at the 'Gathering more information about your device' step. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I have the internal bluetooth, so I am not using an adapter.
As far as firmware and software, I have Bluetooth firmware version 3.1792 and Apple Bluetooth software version 1.7.3f4
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I had the exact same problem. Called Motorola and they told me it will not work with the Mac.
So I returned it and bought the Motorola HS820 and it pairs just fine and works extremely well.

  • Bluetooth Motorola H350 & I phone

    Hi,
Love my new iphone but I'm having trouble getting my Motorola H350 Bluetooth to connect. The bluetooth button is on but it just continues Searching.
    Any ideas to help me?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
I had the same problem, but w/ my macbook. You need to go to your Skype preferences. Click on "Audio", and select from the draw down menu your device on all 3 menus. If it is paired w/ your phone, it will be in the menu. This should allow it to connect. Good luck.

  • Bluetooth/Motorola h500?

I am trying to get my Iphone to pair with my Motorola bluetooth H500 earpiece. No luck...is it compatible? Please help as I really don't want to have to buy another bluetooth earpiece.

The H500 is compatible with the iPhone. I just paired mine, and it works well. Make sure you follow the user's guide for both devices. First turn on bluetooth on your iPhone and make it discoverable, then let it find the headset by pushing the middle button on the headset and turning it on.

  • System sounds through the Bluetooth headset while listening to audio

Not sure if anyone had this issue, I have read a few about cars and bluetooth connections but no mention of system sounds not operating.
I was using Motorola S9 bluetooth headset and the music was fine, but after I returned home I noticed that I had missed several text and some email notifications. The sounds operated correctly without the headset connected so, my only guess is would it be related to the Bluetooth operation?
    Thanks, Joe.
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

Could this be patched in the 2.0 release? I can't wait til christmas; no really, I hope they don't take that long to release the update.

  • Bluetooth connection to car forces audio connectio...

    Hi everyone
I recently fitted a new Bluetooth head unit (JVC KD-R821BT) to my g/f's car and we're having a bit of a problem when trying to use it with her 6303i. The probs we're having are:
    - the head unit has been set up to automatically connect paired Bluetooth devices and yet every time she gets into the car, the only way to re-connect the 6303i is to go into the menu on the head unit and manually connect paried device.
    - the 6303i seems to automatically start playing music via Bluetooth whenever it connects. The head unit can handle two phones and one audio device connected at any one time via Bluetooth and normally the Bluetooth device is an iPod Touch. However, because the 6303i seems to insist on playing music via Bluetooth, it always kills the iPod connection and takes it over itself.
Does anyone know if there is any way to fix/get round either or both of these issues? Btw the 6303i has the latest firmware installed.
    Thanks

I don't think people that work with, and/or, understand how all these various Bluetooth profiles work, are Apple people. Or if they are, they maybe don't share their knowledge on forums. I can get my MBP to say that it's connected to my car but the car doesn't see the MBP. Also, the car offers up a 4-digit "code" during the pairing process but the MBP never prompts for such a code. I've had similar problems trying to pair with other devices where the MBP says it's connected but nothing is usable. I think the Bluetooth standard has a major failure in that it doesn't require any and every device that uses it, to very explicitly display/indicate precisely which "profile(s)" it supports.
I'm assuming that on a MBP that the various Bluetooth capabilities or lack thereof are software and not hardware related. You would think that there would be a popular third-party Bluetooth control app for OS X. Maybe there is-- anyone?

  • How to set up auto bluetooth for phone but not audio

I would like to set up my car bluetooth to work with the phone, but not with music/misc. audio. My car (2012 Scion) allows this, and I used to do it with my Android phone. But I cannot figure out how to make it work with my new iPhone 6. If I disconnect the music connection from the car, it disconnects the phone too. My Android had its own setting to choose one or the other or both.
How can I do this on iPhone? It is a pain to have music start playing when I don't want it to -- when bluetooth connects.
    Thanks for any guidiance!!

It seems that this is yet another of the neanderthal things that iOS can't do but Android has done forever.
Is there any way to stop iphone from starting itunes and starting playing the last song played (weeks ago) every time I get in the car?

  • IPhone 5 question about Bluetooth headsets and headphone jack audio out.

I have an iPhone 5. When I'm connected to a bluetooth headset, can I still use the headphone jack to play audio through my stereo between calls without having to disconnect the headphone jack for calls or shut off the headset for tunes?

when one connects a wires headset it it mutes the internal speaker
when one connects a bluetooth headset it mutes the internal speaker and any wired connected headsets

  • Bluetooth won't pair both audio and phone. Car multi-media in range and turned on?

I have iOS 8.1.3.  Can no longer use both phone and audio- it disconnects one to pair the other and doesn't allow both. Error message says make sure car multi-media is turned on, in range, and ready to use.

Thanks Peter! I had done  that before multiple times with no success- even turning off bluetooth and the phone in hopes for a reset; I called Apple and my rad service person Shaquita requested I turn off my wireless, reset my network, and try again. That worked and both the audio and the phone paired. Have a great day! Hopefully this helps others with the same issue; but I understand that the bluetooth may kick out again and I may have to repeat this process. Kind regards, Angela
