Bluetooth mouse buttons do not respond but the mouse icon on the screen follows mouse movements.

Running 10.6.8 and replace my wireless mouse with a Microsoft 5000 Bluetooth. It works fine and then all of the suddon the left, right and wheel will not work. I replace with my usb apple mouse and it does the same. I also tried my old apple wireless mouse and it does the same thing. Can anyone shine some light on this issue. In order to fix I must reboot the computer.

I have test with my usb mouse and the same thing is happening as well. It usually happens when I click on an input field in chrome or safari.

Then there isn't anything you can do about it then. Your only choice is to pay to have the device fixed or replaced. Apple is in charge of that, and as I said in the other thread, this is not Apple you are talking to, we are users like you and cannot do anything about that.

You should try taking it to the Apple Store and asking for a replacement.
Or you could enable Assistive Touch from Settings>General>Accessibility.

Plz Help: ipod buttons do not work, but the scrolling wheel work normally

Hi everyone,
All the controlling buttons on my girlfriend's ipod nano 3rd gen do not work.
However, the scrolling wheel is still functional.
Everything works, except the controlling buttons (menu, play, prev, next)
Is there any possible reason or solution for this?
The ipod is a 8GB product(RED) one.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

This sounds like a hardware problem to me. If it's under warranty, take it to an Apple store. If not, take it anyway. They still may be able to help. If they can't, you can try sending it away to a company that fixes iPods. However, this may cost more than it's worth. You may find yourself buying a new iPod.

After a crash, I reinstalled FF, but it looks different. Bookmarks button will not stay on the screen. Thus, I cannot get to the Library, or Restore. I need to restore Bookmarks from external hard drive. I found backups but how does Firefox find them?

I have found 2 versions of my old bookmarks in my backed up data. One is under Owner/AppData/Local.../bookmarkbackup/bookmarks-2011-10-13 , etc. The other is under Firefox Profile/Cache/E7C5F7B4d01. I don't find these places in the new Firefox program just installed.

Have you tried to drag the folder that contains your music files. Locate the folder, while iTunes is open, drag the folder to the Library icon, this may help.

It's not that you can't use the subject field, but it is very unreliable when I try to use it. Sometimes the message send button will work and sometimes it won't.
But the biggest reason to turn it off is so that you do not accidentally type your message in the subject field. You can type a subject in that field, but you still have to type the actual message in the space below the subject field.

The iPhone 4 doesn't like USB 1.1 much.
after the update the computer was working well, except for this freeze when ever I connect iPhone.
I'd try USB 2.0 PCI. That's how I connect my iPhone 4s, and have connected all iPhones and iPods, to my G4.
Never an issue.
Can't say the same for USB 1.1.......
