Bluetooth mouse lose signal on Spectre 13 3002el

Sometimes my Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse (driver 9.5.172.0) lose signal with the pc for few seconds (during use).
The same mouse on another PC works perfectly.
My blutooth drivers are Intel 17.0.1401.422.
What can I do to avoid this annoying issue?
Thanks for the support
Pietro

Hi,
Have you tested by trying to connect any other bluetooth devices? Just to make sure the issue isn't with the mouse specifically.
You can also try the follow steps:
Step 1. Go to device manager
Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that you want
Step 3. Select "Update Driver Software..."
Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Step 5. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
Step 7. Select "Microsoft" at "Manufacturer" list
Step 8. Finally select "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link"
If you are still unable to pair with a Bluetooth device try the following:
Step 1. Search for "Change device" in the Windows 8 Start menu.
Step 2. Click on where it says Change device installation settings.
Step 3. Select the No, let me choose what to do option.
Step 4. Check the automatically get the device app option
Step 5. Click Save changes to save the settings you just chose
As well you can try this
Step 1: Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type “services.msc” and Enter
Step 2: Now find “Bluetooth Support Service” and double click on it
Step 3: Now click on Log On Tab and Type in "Local Service" without quotes
Step 4. Click on “This Account”
Step 5: Now remove any passwords leave the password field blank
Step 6: Underneath the upper left title should be a hyperlink "Start" Click it
Let me know how this goes.
Thanks.

  • Why does my bluetooth mouse lose contact with my MCB

Hello community, my mouse sometimes loses contact with my mbp retina 15' Mavericks, it has a bettery at 50% power. Is this normal? Thank you in advance

even if the battery says it is (half) full, usually it helps to replace the battery.
try just taking it out and then in again, might help temporarely.
re-pairing also might do the trick.
    in this order.

  • Mouse loses Bluetooth connection when left idle

I am suddenly having an issue where the bluetooth mouse which works off the preinstalled Toshiba bluetooth stack,
loses its connection when left idle for a little while.
    This was not happening before.
    What could cause this?
I just changed the batteries in the mouse so that is not the issue.
    Any ideas?

That doesn't matter. If you can get a newer version for your band then use it.
If not, install the Toshiba one and see if it works. Afterwards install your old one again,
but ensure during the uninstallation that you do not remove the old Bluetooth setup configurations (The uninstaller asks for it).
In this case the newer driver remain on your system. Maybe it solves your problem.

  • New RAM made me lose my Bluetooth mouse

    Hey all,
I recently installed 2GB worth of G.Skill RAM into my blackbook. It was a great upgrade, but I've had really spotty use of my Bluetooth mouse as a result.
Sometimes it will not connect at all and other times it will work for a few minutes and cut off. I know I've heard a few things about this on this board but I couldn't find any relevant threads via the search feature.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

have you tried putting the old ram back in and seeing if the bluetooth works? this would at least verify that the ram is to blame and then you made be able to get it replaced by g.skill in warranty. I noticed my bluetooth went out more often after replacing my ram, but it wasn't a new problem. putting my old ram back in made no difference.

  • HT201205 Bluetooth loses signal and will not re-connect

I occasional go out of range with my Bluetooth and lose connectivity.  When I am back in range my Bluetooth will not reconnect and I have to manually turn off Bluetooth in settings and switch my Platronics M 50 off then turn both back on to pair the device.
A second issue is that if I manually hang up the phone call my ITunes begins to play the next song. I use a 6+ software is up to date.  I have tried the network re-set and it is still having problems.

Since you have already upgraded the firmware on your Router, Have you resetted your Router and Re-Configured all the settings back on your Router? If not then Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router....
If your Internet Service Providor is Cable follow this link
If your Internet Service Providor is DSL follow this link
When you re-configure all the settings on your Router, You need to change some settings under the Wireless Part of your Router...
Set the Wireless Channel on your Router to 11-2.462GHz and let the SSID Broadcast should be Enable...
Then click on the Sub tab under Wireless "Advance Wireless Settings" and Change the Beacon Interval to 75 ...Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 Change the RTS Threshold to 2307 ...Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • Best Bluetooth mouse is....?

Hi all, I just bought a MacBook Pro a few days ago.
I'm researching bluetooth mice and there are SO many out there! What are your opinions as to which I should get???

The only time I've ever had my BT Mighty Mouse lose its signal has been when the batteries have run flat. Never been an issue for me, and I use one with three different Macs. Never had a problem with right clicking, either. The amount of force required is identical to that for left clicking.
The only real issue that I've experienced with MM (and I've been using one since they first came out) has been the need to regularly clean the scroll ball. You have to do this every couple of weeks (just rub the ball up and down and round and round on a clean piece of paper with the mouse held upside down) if you want to avoid problems with scrolling, and the need for a more difficult cleaning job.
Personally I prefer it over the various Logitech's that we have. Fits my hand better and the horizontal scolling helpful, especially on smaller screens.
    Cheers

  • External monitor randomly loses signal

    Hello,
I have a external monitor connected via a DVI-D/Mini Displayport cable, and maybe once or twice a week the monitor will all of a sudden lose signal. The only way to regain the signal to the monitor is to unplug the cable from my MacbookPro.
Has anyone ever experienced this? Is there any recommended solution? Is it a faulty DVI-D/Mini Displayport cable I am using?
    Macbook Pro - Late 2009
Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed:          2.53 GHz
    OSX 10.6.7

Goobey - you have your monitor set up in extended mode. This gives you the effect of having an extended desktop. You can drag applications to the monitor and have multiple apps on screen at once.
If you prefer to have the same screen display on both monitors then you must select mirror mode. This can be selected in System Preferences - Displays.
If you would prefer to use your external monitor along with an external keyboard you can then run in closed clamshell mode. You would have to attach an external keyboard, mouse and your monitor. Then you close the lid to your MB allowing it to go to sleep. Once it is asleep, you can wake it to the external monitor by pushing the shift key on the external keyboard. This will wake the MB to the external monitor/keyboard/mouse. There is one caveat to this mode. You must be connected to power to run in closed clamshell mode.
    Hope this solves your question!

  • My Magic Mouse Loses Connection Every Single Minor Tap

My Magic Mouse tends to lose its connection whenever I give it a tap on the table. I mean, it's normal right, when you lift the mouse a little bit and tap it to the surface to give the pointer a little more distance like browsing the web or playing a computer game. My Magic Mouse seems to lose its connection everytime it gets a minor tap on the table and no, I don't slam it hard.
It's not a battery problem since I change them frequently so I'm guessing it's either the hardware problem or the Bluetooth problem. Any idea what's causing this?

Actually I believe it is a battery problem.  Specifically, not all batteries are created equally and vary from brand to brand so with the tolerances as tight as they apparently are in (or are not) in the MM the positive terminal does not always make contact with the MM terminal.
Based on other posts in these forums the positive terminal varies slightly among brands.  Some are higher than others.  It's a minor amount but it appears to be enough.
I've seen this with my neighbor's MM.  Brand new batteries (forget the brand at the moment) yet I could shake the MM and have it make and break contact.  On the other hand I don't have the problem with my Sayno Eneloop rechargeables.
You might try inserting a small piece of paper or aluminum foil to take up the gap.
Another possibility is that the contacts are corroded so try to clean them a little.

  • MS Intelli Explorer Bluetooth Mouse needs to be setup everytime

I bought MS intelli explorer bluetooth mouse. This is my first bluetooth mouse. Everytime I start up my imac, I have to setup/locate the mouse. This is very annoying as I have to plug in another mouse to navigate to discover the bluetooth mouse. Isnt the OS supposed to detec the hardware while booting up or something like that?
Is there a way to overcome this? I have even setup my ms mouse as "favorite" in the bluetooth preference. I move the mouse around few seconds before the OS starts hoping it wake the mouse from sleep or activate the bluetooth signal.
    Any suggestion? Thanks in advace

Make sure you have the latest Apple Bluetooth Firmware and latest Mac OS X updates installed. This was a common problem earlier – would wonder me if it reappears in Mac OS X v10.4.4.

  • Missing Bluetooth Mouse Battery Indicator

After installing a new Kensington Bluetooth mouse, everything is working perfectly except for the Bluetooth battery indicator within the System Preferences app under "Keyboard and Mouse" and then under the "Bluetooth" tab.
Is there anything that I can do to restore this? Is this because it is a non-Apple Bluetooth mouse? Does the battery life signal emanate from the Bluetooth device itself?
    Thanks all in advance!

    To all concerned,
I just got off the phone with Apple Support and they told me that this was a known issue that happened with the last update. Apple is currently working on a fix .

  • Conflict Between Bluetooth Mouse and WIFI?

I Bought the new MBPR X72 and a Iogitech Bluetooth Mouse. When i download something by Wifi,My mouse can't work well.I search the answer on Google, some people said that there is a conflict between Bluetooth mouse and Wifi.Because they are both use the 2.4G HZ.So anyone can help me ??

If you are on your home network, you could set the router and MBPr to use only the 5 GHz band if you are using the n-protocol WiFi.  That would mean logging intothe router and changing band usage settings.  The MBPr would follow what it sees as the wireless signal.

  • Bluetooth Mouse movement on Mac Mini Core Duo

Bluetooth mouse movement and tracking is a bit strange. The pointer overshoots the target and 'hugs' the edge of the screen. It's not a problem with one particular mouse - two different manufacturers behave in exactly the same way. Both mice work fine on my PPC machines. Any ideas or solutions?

I use a Logitech MX900 Bluetooth mouse with my PowerBook and for the most part it works fine. There are times when it just loses the plot and behaves like yours. I don't think it is a case of insufficient bandwith as Michael suspects but more a problem with intereference. I do notice that when there is a high use of my Airport connection the erratic behaviour is more prevalent.
If you use both Airprt ans Bluetooth concurrently you might want to switch off Airport off to see if your mouse goes any better.
Either way though you will find that a wireless USB mouse to perform better under most, if not all, situations.

  • Bluetooth Mouse X7500 on MAC OSX

I bought an X7500 bluetooth mouse for my Mac. There is a MAC logo on the box, but I am not able to find the driver for MAC anywhere. (OSX 10.9.4).
The mouse has been paired to the lap-top, and functions very well, as it is decently sized. The left and right buttons are good, and the scroll-wheel scrolls with two speeds. I may also push the wheel to move the page around.
The scroll-wheel may be tilted left and right, and I assume that this is supposed to cause the current object moving left/right but nothing happens. I also assume that the two buttons on the top left-hand side are for back and forward. When I push one of them, it has the same action as pushing the scroll-wheel.
Is there a driver for this mouse somewhere?

  • Opinion on Mighty Mouse & Original Apple Bluetooth Mouse

I just received my bluetooth Mighty Mouse today and I have to say it's an excellent mouse!
    Pros:
Compared to the original Apple Bluetooth Mouse, this one is lighter (much lighter). It also tracks better than the original Apple Bluetooth Mouse. My desktop is a piece of grey plastic and with the original mouse, it was not able to track at all. With the new wireless Mighty Mouse, it works just fine!
I also love how one can zoom in by control-scrolling. Excellent feature!
    Almost everything works well.
    Cons:
Like others have said before, the one minor complaint is the side squeeze buttons. Only if the squeeze buttons were just slightly less tight. But I would not say this negative is any reason to not get the Mighty Mouse.
Also, unlike the original bluetooth mouse which has a slider to adjust the pressure of the click button, this one does not come with that feature. Not a big deal, nevertheless.
    Good job, Apple!

It's not for any help, but me too have the same problem.
My mighty mouse, lose connection in a random way with my MacBook Pro 17" Unibody.
I've an iMac at home, with another mighty mouse, so I try to exchange the two, but any one of the two mouse work right with the iMac and have the same problem with the MBP.
Maybe for 1/2 day, there is no problem, and after that in an hour the lose connection happen 2/3 times.
I try like you to delete the .plist file and reset PRAM but the only difference is that now the bluetooth icon in the menu bar correctly shows the three dots of the connection, but as always at random, the mouse stops working and the pointer remains stationary on the screen.
The only solution is to manually disconnect and then click a button on the mouse to reconnect.
My only hope is that with the arrival of Snow Leopard and the next "clean installation" the problem disappears.
I'm sorry can't give you any help.

  • Bluetooth mouse needs paring every time!!

I have just started using the mighty wireless mouse. Very cool! However, after turning it off (to save battery) I have to re-pair it again before use. What a pain! Is this normal?
Any way of keeping Bluetooth pairing on hold til the device re-appears?
(I also tried leaving it on but if the computer has been hibernated to disk (deep sleep widget) then the butons don't work when it wakes up.)
    Thanks, Louis

make sure "allow bluetooth device to wake this computer" is enabled in the bluetooth mouse menu on system profiler. usually after sleep or turning the mouse off you just have to click the mouse (to give it an active signal) and wait a couple of seconds (some times its taken up to 30) for it to pair automatically
