  • Part replacement for Apple Wireless bluetooth mouse ( not mighty)

I am looking for a bottom panel for my old apple wireless bluetooth mouse (not mighty). My son has dropped it down and that is how is not switching off anymore. I am thinking about replacement of that anyway removable panel (you remove it to place batteries),so I guess this part must be around somewhere. Any help is appreciated, thank you very much in advance!

    Hello m:
The only people that can answer that are the Apple people. As far as I know, those parts are not available from the web site.
Frankly, I think I would buy a new mouse as something may be damaged internally.

  • Other mouse besides Bluetooth Magic Mouse not recognized?

I am fairly new to the forum, so I am sorry if this is in the wrong section...
I bought my computer last summer, and it came with the Magic Mouse and wireless keyboard, both, as all of you probably know, bluetooth. Nothing is wrong with these things. In fact, I much prefer them over other mice and keyboards. The problem is the left and right click buttons. I understand that I can go into System Preferences and get the Magic Mouse to have both the Left and Right clickers, which I have done. I didn't really enjoy the feel of it, as I prefer feeling both of the buttons over just one large one. So, I decided to hook up my wireless Microsoft mouse with a small USB connection. When I disabled my Magic Mouse and connected the Microsoft mouse, nothing happened. I wasn't able to use the Microsoft mouse, which works fine on any other non-Apple computer that I test it on.
Is there any way that I can go about fixing this problem and making it so that the Microsoft mouse is recognized by the computer?
    Thanks,
    ~Elliot

    Hello E:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
I decided to hook up my wireless Microsoft mouse with a small USB connection.
Are you trying to do this with a USB "dongle?"
When I disabled my Magic Mouse
How did you do this? Did you delete the magic mouse in system preferences?
In any event, I have not seen anything like what you are describing. I am not criticizing non-Apple devices, but I am unable to suggest troubleshooting steps for non-Apple hardware as I have no experience with them.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working from sleep

Have had this problem a couple of time's nothing major but annoying when i have woken the comp up from sleep or restarted the mouse will work as a pointer only clicking is not recognized only way to to it working is to turn mouse off and on

    HI Karl,
When you wake you Mac from sleep mode, it can take about 5 seconds for the system to recognize any wireless devices. Just move the mouse around slowly on the mouse pad for a second or two.
    Also, in System Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse/Bluetooth. Select this box;
Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer.

please help how do i get Windows to see my Apple Mouse under bootcamp??

my exp is that my magic trackpad unlike in osx require ment to click it before it turn on and begin to respond to touch

  • USB mouse not recognized in windows 8.1 - tried all no help

    Hi,
I am having this issue for 2 weeks now. Plugging the muse to USB port didn't make any difference to system, it hasn't been seen at all (noting in dev manager, no beep etc). I was connecting same mouse using PS/2 adapter and worked well.
After doing UEFI bios update and installing latest drivers for motherboard mouse is shown in device manager as "Not Recognized" Code 43. I did try to use different USB mouse, same story, playing with drivers, deleting/uninstalling in Device Manager
didn't make any change. Deleted all USB devices/Hubs used generic drivers suggested by windows didn't change anything as well. Windows Troubleshooter see problem - but don't give options to fix it. System is up to date with windows updates, no new software
was installed. Changed as well Power settings regards to USB ports but no help
A lot of people suggest to go to UEFI Bios and changing USB settings of xHCI to disabled/enabled/auto - well none of this worked for me.
Anyone has any other clue which is worth to try?
Seen somewhere that locating USB port VID/PID (from dev manager) then Find it in Registry and edit "Power Settings" fix problem for some - can see VID/PID for this mouse in registry - but no editable settings there.
    Thank you in advance
    Marcin

    Hello Marcin,
Can you use other devices normally like USB keyboard and USB driver?
If you can, please contact the manufacturer and check if there are hardware issues.
About the error code 43 in device manager, please take a look at the following KB.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310123/en-us
One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.
If you have already run the Troubleshooting Wizard, you might want to check the hardware documentation for more information about diagnosing the problem.
When you try the Windows troubleshooter, what problem do you see?

  • Bluetooth mouse not working in Mavericks

    Hello
After upgrading to OS X Mavericks, my bluetooth mouse stopped working. The OS can see the bluetooth mouse and it connects to it, but after "mouse connected" it doesn't work, i get no mouse response at all. Tried some other users solutions but none of them work. I've tried the bluetooth mouse in other computers and it is working fine.

Restart the computer holding down the command - option/alt - P - R keys before the gray screen appears. Continue to hold until you hear the startup chime for the second time.
    Reset NVRAM/PRAM
Try a SMC reset. The article covers when this is required, but doing this will not affect anything.

  • External keyboard and mouse not recognized after waking from sleep

This started happening all of a sudden. It was working fine before that. When I disconnect the power cable, keyboard, and then connect them back, its not recognized. To make it recognize the keyboard and mouse, I have to logout and login or restart the laptop. I looked at this related post, but the PRAM reset fix did not work for me : http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=870482
Any idea how to fix it?
    OS version: 10.9.2
    MacBook Pro 13-inch Mid 2012
Processor 2.9 GHz Intrel Core i7
    Memory 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I have a similar problem on our G3 iBook with Panther. Most of the keys don't work, and of the four or five that do, they print only gibberish.
For a while I had control of the "C" key, and I was able to start from the Installation CD-ROM. I ran Disk Utility. It found and repaired a whole bunch of permissions and reported no problem with the hard disk. But I still cannot use the keys, and since then I've lost the use of the "C" also.
Because I cannot use the keyboard, I cannot type in my administrator's password, and for that reason I cannot use System Preferences to start from the Installation CD-ROM. I did not see the Hardware Test on the CD-ROM, but it sounds interesting.
Any ideas on how to get back to the CD-ROM when my keyboard doesn't work?

  • Bootcamp Windows 7 bluetooth mouse not working

From my macbook air with bootcamp windows 7 my bluetooth mouse is not working.  It was working before and it still works fine under mac os but I don't know why it's not working anymore under Windows 7.  I also tried to find bluetooth from control panel or device manager but bluetooth is not showing.  Anyone can help me to solve this problem?  Thanks.

getting blue tooth device to work after install
iMac 21.5 inch OS X Lion (10.8.4), Bootcamp 5 install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
At the end of my install, I noticed that Bootcamp was not available from Windows (e.g., no hidden taskbar
icon). Other issues with missing USB drivers. Magic mouse worked ok, except the trackpad-like swiping
features were absent. Ran setup in the BootCamp folder of the thumb drive (not the setup in the thumb
drive's root directory), which indicated it was a continuing install (guess somehow the first one stopped
prematurely), installed all the special Apple etc. drivers for the Bootcamp interface with Windows.
After restart, all the troubleshooter warnings for USB devices had cleared, but Magic mouse was not
    communicating with system.
Attached a standard Microsoft optical USB mouse.
Then, in Windows control panel > devices and printers:
right clicked the magic mouse's icon (was labeled apple-username's mouse)
    selected Services tab
(Bluetooth Services refreshes, then shows checkbox for Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID))
    check the checkbox
Windows installs the driver and the magic mouse works with all its features in Windows.
incidentally, noticed that had lots of internet cutouts with both wi-fi and lan connected. maybe an issue
with my ISP, don't know, although issue only apparent in Windows, not Mac OS X.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working on T430s

All my drivers are up to date, my mouse has new batteries, and I tried this fix:
    http://sherylcanter.com/wordpress/2010/01/bluetooth-mouse-losing-connection-no-more/
Now my bluetooth mouse only works after I reboot the computer, but then disconnects after a while, and I can't even add it again to my bluetooth devices.
    Can somebody please help?

    Hi everyone!
I had problems with my new Rapoo 6080 mouse, it didn't want to work with my laptop anyhow.
The connection was successful, but the cursor was dead, and in a few minutes Windows removed the mouse connection with the following error in Event Log:
Initial connection to Bluetooth HID device failed.  The device has been removed as a personal or paired device.  You must reinstall the device.
I called Lenovo techsupport, they have referred me to this thread.
Now I have found a solution, that might not be perfect and requires some skills, but IT WORKS (at least for me). I have installed Toshiba bluetooth stack on my laptop, replacing the drivers from Lenovo.
Toshiba has ceased support for other manufacturer's devices in their stack, but a little fix of VID and PID values in tosrfusb.inf file did the job.
Not sure if I should provide details on how to do the whole process, as it requires some skills and accuracy. I guess those who are familiar with Windows will find their way.
BTW, the stack I downloaded is not latest, it was version v80012T_20110809_x64. But I guess the latest may also do the job.

  • Bluetooth Mouse not working properly

I have a MAC bluetooth mouse and recently the scroll wheel only works to scroll up, left and right, but not down. I have tried turning off/on the computer, force quitting the Finder, turning off and on again the mouse. Nada...
Any thoughts how to fix this?

This is a common fault with the MM. There are many threads on this. Certainly googling will gives you plenty of results!
The best solution I found from a tip was to remove the batteries or turn it off and then rub the mouse upside down on a clean piece of white paper. Move it in all directions - 360 degrees.
Carefully though so as not to put too much pressure on the buttons.
After a while look at all the dirt on the paper which has been transferred from the ball.
Turn it back on and voila! A fully functioning MM.
    Try it! You'll be surprised.

  • Logitech bluetooth mouse not found on restarting Mac Pro

    hi
for some time now I have been using a logitech V270 bluetooth mouse with my Mac Pro which has a bluetooth 2.0 card installed. all works fine except that when i restart my Mac Pro the mouse is generally not automatically detected and i get the 'bluetooth mouse setup' screen with the message 'there isn't a mouse connected'. i then need to press the reset button on the mouse and go through the usual connection procedure.
i wonder i anyone has any advice as to how i can get this set up so that the Mac Pro automatically connects
    thanks

    Hello all -
I found a solution to this by using Bluetooth Explorer. I had previously tried this and it didn't work, however I realized that I was using an old version of Bluetooth Explorer! When I downloaded the newest version from apple, it worked like a charm and I was able to select which Bluetooth adapter I wanted to use. Switched it over to the USB dongle and it works perfect now. No more skipping mouse, woo hoo!

  • 5 button mouse not recognized

I am using a Dynex DX-WMSE mouse. In 10.4.11 the mouse was automatically recognized and I could configure all 5 buttons. Now the mouse is recognized but I can't configure any of the buttons (only l and r). I would like to customize this mouse as much as possible. Any ideas? Thanks

The mouse preference pane does not control all of the buttons of the mouse. Apparently apple went and hid the rest of the mouse functions in the Expose/Spaces pane.
If you click there and find the drag down menu you can customize each of the additional mouse buttons that you have.
Yay for me finding the answer!
