Bluetooth Mouse not working properly

I have a MAC bluetooth mouse and recently the scroll wheel only works to scroll up, left and right, but not down. I have tried turning off/on the computer, force quitting the Finder, turning off and on again the mouse. Nada...
Any thoughts how to fix this?

This is a common fault with the MM. There are many threads on this. Certainly googling will gives you plenty of results!
The best solution I found from a tip was to remove the batteries or turn it off and then rub the mouse upside down on a clean piece of white paper. Move it in all directions - 360 degrees.
Carefully though so as not to put too much pressure on the buttons.
After a while look at all the dirt on the paper which has been transferred from the ball.
Turn it back on and voila! A fully functioning MM.
Try it! You'll be surprised.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working in Mavericks

    Hello
After upgrading to OS X Mavericks, my bluetooth mouse stopped working. The OS can see the bluetooth mouse and it connects to it, but after "mouse connected" it doesn't work, i get no mouse response at all. Tried some other users solutions but none of them work. I've tried the bluetooth mouse in other computers and it is working fine.

Restart the computer holding down the command - option/alt - P - R keys before the gray screen appears. Continue to hold until you hear the startup chime for the second time.
    Reset NVRAM/PRAM
Try a SMC reset. The article covers when this is required, but doing this will not affect anything.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working on T430s

All my drivers are up to date, my mouse has new batteries, and I tried this fix:
    http://sherylcanter.com/wordpress/2010/01/bluetooth-mouse-losing-connection-no-more/
Now my bluetooth mouse only works after I reboot the computer, but then disconnects after a while, and I can't even add it again to my bluetooth devices.
    Can somebody please help?

    Hi everyone!
I had problems with my new Rapoo 6080 mouse, it didn't want to work with my laptop anyhow.
The connection was successful, but the cursor was dead, and in a few minutes Windows removed the mouse connection with the following error in Event Log:
Initial connection to Bluetooth HID device failed.  The device has been removed as a personal or paired device.  You must reinstall the device.
I called Lenovo techsupport, they have referred me to this thread.
Now I have found a solution, that might not be perfect and requires some skills, but IT WORKS (at least for me). I have installed Toshiba bluetooth stack on my laptop, replacing the drivers from Lenovo.
Toshiba has ceased support for other manufacturer's devices in their stack, but a little fix of VID and PID values in tosrfusb.inf file did the job.
Not sure if I should provide details on how to do the whole process, as it requires some skills and accuracy. I guess those who are familiar with Windows will find their way.
BTW, the stack I downloaded is not latest, it was version v80012T_20110809_x64. But I guess the latest may also do the job.

  • IOS4 bluetooth functions not working properly?

    Hello there,
I have the iPhone 3Gs and it is updated with the iOS 4.0.1. The problem I'm having is that, not all of the bluetooth functions are working properly as it used to before, and I wanted to know if there was away of letting Apple know about it so that it could be fixed. I believe it's just a software issue, where there is a delay in conncetivity from phone to headset, but I'm not sure. I own the new, "Jawbone Icon" and it used to work fine before I've updated to the new iOS 4.0. I've tried doing a total rest with both iphone and bluetooth and both methods were unsuccessful. I've actually tested my bluetooth headset with another iPhone, that still had the previous iOS 3.1.3 software, and it worked exactly how it should compared to my updated iOS 4.0.1 iPhone.
The main problem I have is that for one, I no longer hear my phone's message tone in my headset when I recieve a text message, push notification, or even email to my iPhone. Before, with the iOS 3.1.3 software, I would alway here my message tone when I recieve any of those notifications. Which was convinient when I had my phone in my pocket and was in an area where I couldn't hear my phone when I recieved a message.
The other problem I have is that, while my phone is ringing, I would hear my ringtone through my bluetooth while the caller id function was being read to me. This was a little distracting at first, but not too much of a problem. The problem is, when my phone rings and my "Jawbone" reads back to me the caller's number - when I pressed the sleep/wake button to slients my phone, it would also cancel the caller id function that my bluetooth offers. This was a little inconvinient, especially while I was driving. In the state the I live in, while driving, the driver is not allowed to talk on their phone unless it is connected to a bluetooth device. Which is the reason why it would be the reason why i enjoy the caller id function provided by "Jawbone".
If there is anyone that could help me with this problem, or possible help me find a way to send this to Apple, I would greatly appreciate it. If anything, I believe that the new iPhone iOS 4.01 software has a slight delay on their bluetooth connectivity from phone to headset. But, nevertheless, any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Yung Vibe

    Yung,
Consider rolling back the OS if you can. Apple support should be able to help.
The bluetooth functionality in IOS 4 is definitely different and not for the better. I'm having serious sound quality and connectivity issues with both the Jawbone II and the Blue Ant Q1. I've called both support groups and bottom line is that IOS 4 has changed and the vendors haven't caught up or the OS has issues that the vendors cant compensate for. I've had to abandon the headsets and move to the delivered earphones. Even that approach has issues if you dont turn off the blue tooth IOS 4 will continue to connect to the bluetooth headset mid conversation. That's a new issue as well. Previous OS made the corded headset the priority and never let the bluetooth take over if the cord was plugged in. I hope Apple is working on this it's darn frustrating and I have an Iphone 4 therefore I cant roll back the OS to 3.

  • Bluetooth Mouse not working in Windows 7?

Just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on an iMac i5 with 20Gb
Everything installed correctly and W7 boots fine, even did the drivers for bootcamp before the full Windows install
Thing is I have the Apple slim Bluetooth Keyboard and Magic Mouse (that come with the iMac) it seems that the Mouse just will not respond??
The keyboard is working?? on Bluetooth but not the mouse and as i dont have a corded one to hand i am trying to navigate the whole Windows with my keyboard!!
please help how do i get Windows to see my Apple Mouse under bootcamp??

my exp is that my magic trackpad unlike in osx require ment to click it before it turn on and begin to respond to touch
but my bluetooth razer mouse don't work with blutooth so I connect it by usb which it also support could be that windows don't care for 2 bluetooth "mouse" input devices at the same time

  • Bootcamp Windows 7 bluetooth mouse not working

From my macbook air with bootcamp windows 7 my bluetooth mouse is not working.  It was working before and it still works fine under mac os but I don't know why it's not working anymore under Windows 7.  I also tried to find bluetooth from control panel or device manager but bluetooth is not showing.  Anyone can help me to solve this problem?  Thanks.

getting blue tooth device to work after install
iMac 21.5 inch OS X Lion (10.8.4), Bootcamp 5 install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
At the end of my install, I noticed that Bootcamp was not available from Windows (e.g., no hidden taskbar
icon). Other issues with missing USB drivers. Magic mouse worked ok, except the trackpad-like swiping
features were absent. Ran setup in the BootCamp folder of the thumb drive (not the setup in the thumb
drive's root directory), which indicated it was a continuing install (guess somehow the first one stopped
prematurely), installed all the special Apple etc. drivers for the Bootcamp interface with Windows.
After restart, all the troubleshooter warnings for USB devices had cleared, but Magic mouse was not
    communicating with system.
Attached a standard Microsoft optical USB mouse.
Then, in Windows control panel > devices and printers:
right clicked the magic mouse's icon (was labeled apple-username's mouse)
    selected Services tab
(Bluetooth Services refreshes, then shows checkbox for Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID))
    check the checkbox
Windows installs the driver and the magic mouse works with all its features in Windows.
incidentally, noticed that had lots of internet cutouts with both wi-fi and lan connected. maybe an issue
with my ISP, don't know, although issue only apparent in Windows, not Mac OS X.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working from sleep

Have had this problem a couple of time's nothing major but annoying when i have woken the comp up from sleep or restarted the mouse will work as a pointer only clicking is not recognized only way to to it working is to turn mouse off and on

    HI Karl,
When you wake you Mac from sleep mode, it can take about 5 seconds for the system to recognize any wireless devices. Just move the mouse around slowly on the mouse pad for a second or two.
    Also, in System Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse/Bluetooth. Select this box;
Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer.

  • Magic mouse not working properly!!

I open the mouse in system preferences, the mouse eventually works, but no settings as to setting it up for the multi-touch controls will not load, I push the set up blue tooth mouse, and the mouse will work, but not the scrolling and other features,I'm not sure how else to describe it, but if you need me to be more specific I'll try and clarify it!
Thanks for any help in advance!

  • Wifi and bluetooth are not working properly

When the lappy is situated near any wifi device then only it catches the signals other wise shows no network found.Same as the bluetooth some times get paired up but mostly not and when connected no data can be transferred between devices. some times get connected but for a while only, after it disconnect several times. Iam too much upset .i have bought it only a moth ago and finds this error. all the drivers are installed and working properly. Is this model have this issue ? or i am the only one suffering from it.

    >Is it possible to switch the power WiFi module as before?
You have replaced the WLan module and this means that the hardware configuration has been changed. This means that the different module has affected the software functionality.
The new WLan/BT combo card BCM94313HMGB seems to be designed by Broadcom.
From my knowledge most Toshiba notebooks supports the Intel / Realtek or Atheros modules. Therefore I think there could be an compatibility issue between the FN button software and this module.
Maybe you could try to install the Broadcom driver once again to check if it helps, otherwise you have to forego that.

  • Anyone know how to fix Bluetooth headset not working properly after iOS 8 update?

I have an iPhone 5S and I use a Plantronics PLT M20 model bluetooth headset. I am no longer able to answer calls by pressing the button on the headset, since updating to iOS 8. I also also cannot end calls by pressing the button on the headset. This only happened after iOS 8. The Apple Care rep stated that "this is most likely a problem with the bluetooth manufacturer and they need to update their firmware, so now it's just a waiting game until they do that". Is that correct? Anyone encountering this?
    Related information....
Hi - I'm a student with disabilities and rely heavily on accessibility features that make my life easier. For example, I use a Bluetooth headset to trying answer phone calls and use Siri… I especially use the "Raise to speak" option for accessing Siri. Since updating my iPhone five us and my iPad air, I've been scrambling to access the "raise to speak" option for Siri without success. When I called AppleCare, the representative stated I should have that option to enable in my settings. When I explained to her that the option is not showing, she wanted me to reset my phone to factory settings. When I told her I googled the issue and found that it may have been removed in iOS 8… She put me on hold, Came back and told me I was right.
What's worse is that that my Bluetooth headset is no longer working with my iPhone 5S. She stated that it may being I needed adjustment from the manufacturer of the headset– Plantronics. All I know is that the apple care representatives seem confused and I am extremely disappointed in this really impacts my use of Siri and my phone.
When I asked her to submit feedback to her supervisor or the powers that be… I was simply asked to submit feedback to the Apple.com website. While I understand Apple might read that feedback, I also recognize that they don't reply and I don't feel that is great support to someone like me who has a disability and needs a solution. The"Hey Siri" option is not working for me.
Does anyone have any workarounds for the "Raise to speak" problem or the Bluetooth problem? Specifically, the Bluetooth issue is when I try to hit the button on my Bluetooth headset to answer a call or end the call. It's a Plantronics PLT M20 model.

Follow-up to my earlier post that iPhone 6 Bluetooth not working correctly.  I purchased a Jawbone MiniJambox to use as a speaker phone in my office.  Everyone in our company thinks they are the best.  However, it is experiencing the same issues as with all my other Bluetooth headsets.  Everything works except cannot answer or hang up calls pushing the buttons on the Bluetooth devices.  The Bluetooth patio speakers in our courtyard also have the same issue.  However, my colleagues using iPhone 5 and 5s who did not update to iOS8 are using all Bluetooth devices without any issues.  Apple says it is a problem with my Bluetooth device.  Come on Apple.... This makes 7 different Bluetooth devices with different manufacturers.  You cannot possibly believe the problem is with the Bluetooth devices when iOS7 works perfectly fine...
On another issue, my iPhone 5s worked perfectly fine in my vehicle entertainment center connected via USB.  The vehicle entertainment center had complete control of my iPhone and iTunes.  However, now I plug in my new iPhone 6 and it no longer communicates with my vehicle entertainment center.  Again when I called Apple, they said my vehicle entertainment center needed a firmware update.  Are you kidding me...  That is a bunch of BS...!!!

  • Bluetooth does not work properly on Tecra M9

I have a problem trying to use my Bluetooth on Toshiba Tecra
    M9 laptop.
When I go to Control Panel "Bluetooth Devices" does not show on the list. The only reference to Bluetooth is "Bluetooth Com".
If I double click on the Bluetooth icon in Systray I cannot open a Bluetooth device. I get a warning flag saying "Bluetooth is not Ready".
The problem is that I cannot turn "on" bluetooth on the laptop (even after turning on the Wi-Fi switch at the front of the laptop).
The "Bluetooth Devices" icon in Control panel is missing.
    Any Ideas
    Thanks in advance...

Install the latest Bluetooth stack and start "Bluetooth Settings" of the "Toshiba->Bluetooth" program folder.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working after upgrade to Yosemite

I have an early 2014 Mac Pro. I'm using an Apple Magic Mouse with it, purchased around the time the Mac shipped at the beginning of May. I have another Mac and mouse combination nearby, but no other Bluetooth devices in the area.
Two days ago, I upgraded the OS from 10.9.9 to 10.10.2. Before the upgrade, I never had a problem with the mouse's connection dropping.
After the upgrade, the mouse started dropping its connection regularly. At first, it would restore right away. Each time, it took a bit longer to reconnect. Now, it won't reconnect at all.
What do I have to do to get these Apple products to work nicely with each other? At this point, I'll need to run out and get a wired mouse. If I don't Apple's own software upgrade will have bricked my very expensive machine...

Have you tried disconnecting and powering down all peripherals except monitor, mouse and KB to help determine if interference from those is causing the problem.
Next I would try another BT KB simce maybe a defective KB.
You can also make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and bring the Mac and KB.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
BTW, there is no 2104 Mac Pro desktop. The latest is still the late 2013 Mac Pro.
