Bluetooth not detected.

I cant seem to connect my 5800 to my new laptop (msi GX660r), it is showing an error that "it cannot use the connection type and to make sure i have the proper hardware/software when it is looking for devices". now i know that the bluetooth works, as i have managed to connect the phone using the default software that came with the laptop.

  • IPhone 4S bluetooth not detecting earbud

Just bought an iPhone 4S. It is not detecting the earbud I used with my previous iPhone 3G. I have turned off the 3G, so it is no longer paired with the earbud (there shouldn't be a conflict for the 4S to pair). I have reset the the settings of the 4S. Restarted the phone. Restarted the earbud. The iPhone's bluetooth perpetually stays in "search" mode and does not detect any devices. Any suggestions?

Found a solution from another discussion thread. This worked:

This solved my questionRe: My iphone 4 cannot find bluetooth headset after ios 5 upgrade     Oct 17, 2011 8:12 AM    (in response to karenmetfan)
Ok, for those of you who have a Plantronics Voyager Pro bluetooth headset, I got a connection/"pairing". This is what I did:
    1) I turned off my bluetooth headset.
    2) Go to Settings in iPhone and turn "on" your bluetooth so that it is searching ...
    3) Then I turned on the headset until I saw the blue light, AND CONTINUED to HOLD DOWN the on/off switch until the blue light was FLASHING.
    4) The "pairing" took place during the flashing.
Holding down the power button on your Voyager Pro headeset acts like as a "hard reset", and starts a "new" search for a new device or new software, in this case it's iOS5 or your new iPhone, or both.
Before doing the steps above my iMac (desktop computer) had the same problem of not "discovering" my bluetooth headset. But after I did the steps, I set my iMac to "discover mode" and the "pairing" between these two devices was successful.
    OTHER bluetooth headsets
Try doing a "hard reset" on your bluetooth device, if you are trying to connect with an iPhone, iPad, or desktop computer that is running iOS5 or Lion.
The problem seemed that my bluetooth headset was trying to connect with devices that were paired with previous operating systems (ie: iOS4 or Snow Leopard). When I upgraded my operating systems to iOS5 and Lion, my bluetooth needed to "start fresh", hence the "hard reset" on the bluetooth.

  • W520 Bluetooth not detected by OS

I've done a factory restore with the disks created on my computer from the Q partition, ive updated my system and now i have no bluetooth.
    -Updated the BIOS
    -Updated the Power manager
Went into msinfo32, the bluetooth (Personal Area Network) device is installed but not available.
Any guidance as to what to do next would be extremely helpful?

I have just purchased a i-Sensys LBP6020B printer and downloaded the driver that is supposed to be compatible with OS X 10.10, however my Macbook Pro does not detect the printer when I plug it in. Of interest, the driver does not show up in the Library\printers folder.
The LBP6020 uses Canon's CAPT driver. After you download this driver and then run the installer, then you should have a CAPT folder located under /Library/Printers/Canon.
As for the auto detection, if you mean that the LBP is not showing in the Add printer window, then this could be an issue with the USB cable. To check this, open an application called System Information which is located under Applications > Utilities. With System Information open, down the left column you will see an entry called USB. Select this and you will see all the USB busses in your Mac. If the USB cable is okay then the printer should be listed under one of the USB busses. If you don't see it, then try another USB cable. Once you can see the LBP listed here, then you will be able to add it via the Printers & Scanners preference pane.
But if you mean that the printer is showing but when selected, the driver is not being found, then once you have run the CAPT installer then this issue should be resolved.

  • HP 15-r014TU : Bluetooth not detected

I bought a HP-R014TU netbook, and the bluetooth is not detected in Windows 8.1. The Wi-Fi is working fine.
I tried installing the Ralink blutooth driver found at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=in&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=7132... , but the bluetooth is not detected. I have also installed the latest listed Ralink WLAN driver.
The device manager looks like this:
I am unable to use my bluetooth gadgets. Please tell me how to solve this problem

    Hello @galenj,
I understand that the Bluetooth device is not detected on your system, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure your system can read the Bluetooth adapter again, I recommend completely removing the MediaTek software from your computer.
Before you remove the software, it is absolutely necessary that you download the software first before uninstalling it (as the Bluetooth Adapter is connected with the wireless adapter). Please download the following drivers:
    HP Wireless Button Driver
    MediaTek (Ralink) Bluetooth Software Driver
MediaTek(Ralink) 802.11 Wireless LAN (WLAN) Adapter
Once the software has been successfully downloaded, I recommend removing the drivers above in Programs and Features and the Device Manager. As soon as the old software is removed, please restart your computer and re-install the drivers on your computer.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Mavericks Issues: Comodo Free-Antivirus Crashing/Freezing the Whole System and Intuos4 Wireless Bluetooth Not Detecting

Hi. Has anyone successfully run Comodo free-anti-virus for the Mac? It crashes, freezes the whole Mavericks that I need to shut the iMac (late 2009) down using the 5 second power button turn off. It would boot and show the desktop and Dock then the beachball just keeps spining and you can't click the Dock nor the icons on the desktop or use the menu.
Also, the bluetooth Wacom4 Wireless used to work fine on Mountain Lion, now Mavericks can't detect it the Intuos4 is in wireless mode (it works fins when the cable's plugged in). Has anyone successfully run the Intuos4 Wireless with Mavericks?
Thank you in advance. Have a great upcoming sunday mass/great upcoming weekend.
    God bless.

Just get rid of Comodo. It didn't do very well when I tested it back in January:
    http://www.thesafemac.com/mac-anti-virus-testing-01-2013/
As for the Wacom issue, you should probably contact the company to see if they have updated drivers. They're probably not fully compatible with Mavericks, for some reason.

  • Z60t bluetooth not detected

I'm trying to resolve a bluetooth problem on a z60t. The BIOS setting for the Internal Bluetooth Device is 'enabled', yet it behaves as if it is hidden (which is the other option). Windows XP does not see the bluetooth device, there are no unknown devices in device manager and a scan for hardware does not reveal any more devices. The external wireless switch is turned on.
I've tried setting the BIOS option to hidden, re-booted, set it to enabled and re-booted again in the hope it would jog Windows into seeing it, but this made no difference.
All I'm seeing in Device Manager is the usual Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, but no device entry for the actual bluetooth device.
It used to work prior to re-installing Windows.
All the latest Bluetooth software and drivers have been installed from the Lenovo z60t support site.
Is there a way to get Windows to see the device?
    Thanks for any assistance.

I've tried the Fn+F5 - it only brings up the Wifi in an all black dialog box, though there is space below the wi-fi settings to display info on bluetooth in the same dialog box. The bluetooth LED does not come on at all.
What is the 'Access Connections'? Is that some software off the program menu?
Opening it up is a good idea, I will give that a try next time I can get my hands on the laptop (i'm supporting it remotely).
    Regards
    Mike

  • Bluetooth not detected in X61 Tablet

    All,
I have searched, but this problem may have been resolved quite some time ago with other users. I have a X61 purchased new in early 08 (7675-CTO) and is currently out of warranty.
I had it configured with bluetooth and I am running Windows Vista Basic. I have used the bluetooth device multiple times but as luck may have it, it has some how disappeared from my computer just about the same time that my battery went from carrying a full charge to only 22 minutes.
Fn F5 results in only my wlan showing. When I go to "Control Panel" --> "Bluetooth Devices"--> "Hardware" the description for the device properties is blank.
Does anyone know how I might get the BT to function properly.
    Thanks in advance.

    so any thoughts?

The bluetooth functionality on the iPhone is limited. It's basically limited to audio devices (headsets, for instance), although certain apps allow greater functionality. Search the app store for "bluetooth share"

  • IPhone 4 does not detect anything on Bluetooth

My iPhone 4 has appearantly a glitch in hardware...??? I turn on bluetooth and it can search for devices till the battery runs out and that's it. I don't think that this is a software error, as there are plenty of iP4's amongst my friends who don't experience this error with the same iOS version as I have.
ANything I can do about it, or I just have to return it to my seller and ask for repairs?
    Tnx
    Lauris

I can't pair it with anything, cause it just does not detect anything. Try to imagine... You go to settings--->bluetooth--->turn it ON and that is it! It starts the search and never finishes... The phone can search till the battery dies, but nothing. And I know that a friends iPhone can connect ot my cars bluetooth, but mine does not even find it. Finds nothing... NO apple gadgets, no other gadgets... It would be a success if it would find something and then the pairing would be a different issues, but if the search for a device never stops (not even to show that the iPhone can't find anything)...then I'm confused... and dissapointed..

  • Bluetooth device is not detected during installation of bluetooth driver

Hi , Initialy bluetooth was working properly, Few day ago I saw that there was no bluetooth icon in system trayas well as in list device manager. So I uninstalled the driver and try to install. But during installation it showthat bluetooth device in not detected and it exit.

Downloads the Windows 7 Hotkey Features. This will enable the wireless console with Fn+F5. Then you can enable bluetooth from there. Windows's built-in bluetooth drivers should work fine, maybe even with an update from WU if you're lucky.

Edit: Don't forget to download the System Interface Driver too.

Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, telephone headsets/handsfree devices, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the apps store, tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than these, it will not connect to another phone/device/computer/etc.

  • Bluetooth was not detected

    Hello,
I have a lenovo G640, windows 7 home. Bluetooth used to work perfectly but now it keeps saying the device was not detected. Have checked the lenovo site to see if I could uninstall and reinstall but they do not have this model in their options display.

Get the laptop checked by Lenovo. Can be an issue with hardware.
