Bluetooth not working with visual voicemail in 2.0

I have a bluetooth car speaker linked to my Iphone 2G. Ever since I switched to 2.0 visual voicemail only gives me the options of internal and external speaker with the "speaker" bubble in the upper right corner. When I had old software installed the "speaker" button would display "audio" giving me the option of the motorola 505 or any headset when it was synced. I can still receive and make calls using the bluetooth, but when I go to listen to voice mail it comes out of the internal speaker (or external). What happened?? How to I get my motorola speaker back, as mentioned it still works with the other phone functions, just not voicemail. Thanks
BTW, why doesn't it have stereo bluetooth, after all it is an IPOD!!

Hello everyone, I'm really ****** ... just bought iPhone4 OS
4.1.
Before I had 2G, and 3G, then 3G. I state that is not my
particular interest to share files via bluetooth or another, but the only
essential thing that made the previous iPhone was connected
perfectly to any accessory. NOW NO MORE '!
I installed a car kit Parrot CK3100. He always
worked perfectly before, even with the latest update
of 3GS os 4,0,1, was even ringing the alarm set
iPhone, you can always read the phonebook, call list etc..
Now, I try to connect the iPhone to the device 4, but sees no
can in no way to connect, returning the message
"Match failed." I tried in every way, even trying
from the unit but nothing to match it.
Can anyone tell me why these things happen and if there is a way to
solve? Thanks.

  • Imac bluetooth not working with apple keyboard or magic mouse

Brand new imac won't connect to the bluetooth apple keyboard or magic mouse. I bought a usb keyboard and mouse to finish setup, but still cannot get them to connect. I tried going to system preferences, bluetooth, and trying to connect that way. I got halfway through the bluetooth keyboard setup until the connection failed. In the bluetooth setup assistant it cannot find any devices, despite them being in "discovery mode."
I tried connecting the mouse to my macbook pro and it worked fine, so I feel it is something wrong the the Imac's bluetooth.
Any guesses what might be going wrong here?

This fits with the observable results, however it does seem a little odd. The apple engineers coud have at least written the software to say something like, " I see an Iphone, but I can't do anything with it." Currently, it seem to behave like there is a problem with bluetooth connectivity. Not that the bluetooth is working fine, it just has nothing it can do with the two devices.
What you are trying to say has no sens. Check Apple TV manual and informations what bluetooth on this device is for and what options is giving to you before blaiming engineers for not making something straight.
Apple Tv 3rd (and 2nd) generation doesn't have a built-in storage and is more as a streaming device not syncing device. I suggest you read about Apple TV 3rd gen features and functionalyty and also about home sharing, airplay and airplay mirroring, apple remote app.

  • Bluetooth not working with Streaming websites

My jawbone bluetooth headset works fine with every application including Safari with the exception of websites that stream video such as YouTube. Not only is there no sound, but the video seems to freeze until I switch the audio source back to my speakers.
This solution http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6384201 seems to identify the problem as being with the Midi Audio seeings. The poster suggests changing the format of the audio from 8000 hz to 44100 hz, which solved his audio issues. The output options for my headset, however, do not have any options other than 8000 hz
Any suggestions on how to get the lower format hz running for my headset? Or any solution at all to allow streaming and flash video sound to function properly through my headset? Thanks in advance.

  • Bluetooth not working with my car after 2.02 upgrade

3G iPhone was working well with the bluetooth in my car (and my wife's car) for past month but I recently returned the phone for a replacement which I upgraded to 2.02 and now it won't work without a manual set-up each time. Called Apple and they said it's a known problem but didn't know of a workaround. Thought others might like to know this before spending the hour I did today trying to fix.

There are a couple of workarounds out there you could give a try. For some phones / users it seems to work, for others like me none solved the problem.
    1. Do a backup
    2. unpair all your BT connections from the phone and in the car. (You've done that already, right?)
    3. Reset your network settings (you'll loose your saved wifi networks and the keys and have to connect them from scratch afterwards) (Test it again, if not ...)
    4. Disconnect from iCloud and delete data from iPhone (test if it works now, you can connect to iCloud afterwards again and sync your data and settings)(don't know if you possibly loose data, cause i don't store important stuff on iCloud)
These are just a couple of workarounds that are suggested in various forums / newspapers. But none of them helped me to solve the problem permanently.

  • Bluetooth not working with Motorola HF850 in my car

I have a Motorola HF850 Bluetooth kit in my car. I've had it for years and it worked absolutely fine with the phone I had ever before I got an iPhone. I had an iPhone 3G for the past 3 years or so and this kit has worked reasonably well with it as well. The only caveat with the iPhone 3G is that it would take two attempts to answer an incoming call, but I could deal with that.
I just bought an iPhone 4 yesterday and I've had absolutely no luck getting it to work properly with this Bluetooth kit. I was able to successfully pair it with the new iPhone and it sometimes seems to connect, but the connection never lasts more than a few seconds. The Bluetooth kit has a blue light on it that flashes as it's searching for a phone, and it turns solid blue when it's connected to the phone. With the iPhone 3G it would flash for about 5 seconds then turn solid blue as long as the car was on.
With the iPhone 4 I've seen it flash for about 5 seconds when I first turn the car on and then go solid as if it connects, but within another 10-15 seconds it goes back to flashing and I'm completely unable to answer/place hands free calls with it. I've tried deleting the Motorola device from the iPhone's Bluetooth settings and then pairing it with the phone again. I've tried power-cycling the iPhone. I've tried forcing the HF850 to re-connect with the iPhone, etc. but so far nothing has worked. Bluetooth in the new iPhone is effectively worthless as far as I'm concerned...
Any suggestions? Is there anything at all I can do to try to get this working?

  • Bluetooth not working with Windows 7

I have a Lenovo t61 that I installed Windows 7 on.  The bluetooth looks like it's all loaded, updated and operating normally.  However it never shows any bluetooth device after searching.  This includes several cell phones, mouse and key boards.  My other T40 with XP sees all these devices and connects with no problem.  This has an internal Broadcom BCm2045B.  I have been researching and tried every driver I could find.  The Broadcom update program (SetupBtwDownloadSE) stops and says it can update the hardware.  I have the Windows Mobile loaded to take care of the 'other bluetooth devices'.
I spent a couple of hours with the MS tech and he found no fix saying it's a Lenovo driver problem. I am out of warranty so Lenovo won't talk to me.  After 2 weeks I have tried all the easy stuff... the bluetooth is on.  It is set to allow bluetooth devices. Lenovo and MS say there are no updates to be had. The BIOS is up to date.  I tried at least 40 different drivers.
I am going to get an external dongle but I hate to think this beat me - us.
If anybody has anything that is not a standard press fn5 to turn on the radio please let me know.
    Thanks!
    Solved!

    Hello,
Have you tried using the Fn+F5 key combination to toggle the Bluetooth hardware off and then on again via the Wireless Radio screen?  I have found sometimes that doing so sometimes fixes problems with the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules not recognizing other devices/networks.

  • Bluetooth not working with my Sony car stereo

Now that I have upgraded from my Iphone 4 to the Iphone 5.  My Sony DX300BTX Bluetooth car stereo will not connect.  I had a oppiontment this last Friday with the apple store.  They were able to connect with there Blue tooth keyboard.  The tech said he could not find any problems with the phone hardware and would not replace it.  The tech sudjusted that I restore the phone as a new phone.  I did this.  Then attempted to connect with my car stereo.  The car stereo connected to the Iphone 5 but the Iphone 5 would not connect to the car stereo.  Btw the Iphone 5 has the latest 6.01 o.s  And so dose my Iphone 4.  Today I took it out to my car to see if it would still connect with the car stereo now that it has the latast 6.01 o.s.   Connected and played Itunes and Pandora perfectly.
So it appears that the Iphone 5 bluetooth chip is the problem.  It's not a software issue and it's not a issue with my sony stereo because the car stereo connected.  But the Iphone 5 would not.  My question is how do I get Apple to fix there faulty bluetooth chip.  I just bought this car stereo last year.  It was suppose to have the best bluetooth connectivity.  And it did with my Iphone 4.  I know if Steve Jobs was still with us this Iphone 5 would have not been released until these kind of bugs were fixed.  And just for the record my sony laptop can see the Iphone 5 to but the Iphone 5 can not see the sony.  Dose Apple make a car stereo that connect to there Iphone 5

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

  • Version 6.0 Bundle 2426 does not work with Sprint Visual VoiceMail

I updated to the latest Sprint Bundle a few days ago and after the update Visual VoiceMail has become quite problematic to keep working. I regularly have to reboot my BB to play messages. The only temporary solution is to call my VM system, but the Visual VM system stinks compared to the old Sprint VoiceMail system, as messages are not kept longer than a week, and a third of the features are gone. I have looked and even called both Sprint and BB tech support and both are clueless. Sprint sent me updates to my phone via the network, asked me to remove the battery, ran the update profile and update PRL options in the mobile options screen, etc.. My next step is to take it into the Sprint repair center and have them downgrade the OS or do whatever they need to do. The previous Sprint build worked just fine with Visual VoiceMail so not sure what the problem is. Is anyone else experiencing this bug and how did you fix it? I am more limited as I am on a Mac. I wish I would have kept the latest build, as I unfortunately deleted it to save space (last time I will ever do that).
    John

Okay. For everyone who upgraded, download RIM's Version 6.0 build 1609 to your desktop computer. Open it and install it to your PC Go into Blackberry Desktop and it will recognize there is a new OS on your PC for your handset. Back up ALL of your contacts, messages, or pictures you have before doing this. Now, install the OLD bundle 1609 back onto the handset. This could take up to 10 minutes. After that, go to your 'Manage Connections" screen, hit "Mobile Network", then hit your BB button and select "Update Profile" then "Update PRL". This will re-provision your handset with the network. Call your VM system through the VVM app on the handset and it will re-connect it. The issue with taking it to a sprint store or doing a "Data Wipe" is that it DOESN'T remove the new build, it only wipes everything, but KEEPS the new build. You have to MANUALLY un-install it and downgrade to get the old command sub-structure back for VVM. Hope this helps, done it 22 times with other phones already.

  • Bluetooth n95 not working with headset

i have recently bought the motorola s9 bluetooth stereo headset. there are a couple of problems. it works fine to connect for the first time using the code on the phone. then if i turn the headset off and on it connects and immediatly disconnects. this is a problem but not a major one.
the biggest problem is the music cuts out all the time for a couple of seconds. i have tried placing the phone right next to the headset and it stil happens. i have read the other n95 forums and see this is very common with the new firmware (i had already installed new firmware so i dont know if this happened on the old firmware).
does anyone else have this problem with another headset or can anyone give me a solution. how often does firmware come out. and is it possible to delete the new firmware.

Same problem here, unfortunately - iPhone 3G & 3.0 do not work with both the SHB6100 and SHB7100 by Philips.
    Philips SHB6100 + iPhone 3G 3.0: A2DP *does not work*
Philips SHB6100 + Nokia and SE phones: A2DP works
    Philips SHB6100 + MacBook Leopard: A2DP works
    Sony DR-BT30Q + iPhone 3G 3.0: A2DP works
Complaining here, however, is not really going to help as these are user to user forums and there is nothing users can do to fix this. Please report this issue at the Apple iPhone Feedback page @ http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Smart Talk not working with Bluetooth since update

I have been using Smart Talk for many months now on my iPhone.   I have a bluetooth headset which I generally use.
This has worked fine (with the exception that when I get an incomming call it disconnects the bluetooth from the Smart Talk call).
But now, since installing version 1.28.0, Smart Talk is not working with my bluetooth headset at all.   When I first make a call the headset is connected - I hear ringback tone.  But as soon as the call is answered, the headset disconnects and the call is transferred to the iPhone itself.  And the Smart Talk app does not give me any options to select the "audio source" (as it does if I make an ordinary mobile call).
As I almost exclusively use the headset, this latest update has made Smart Talk unusable for me.
Is there anyway I can get back to the previous version?

I worked out the problem... I'm using iPhone 4S iOS7
    - Start BT Smart Talk from in car
    - call someone, connects to bluetooth
    - call someone else, connects to bluetooth
    - call someone else, no bluetooth connection
    - kill and restart BT Smart talk
    - call someone, connects to bluetooth
    - call someone else, connects to bluetooth
    - call someone else, no bluetooth connection
    3rd call, always no bluetooth.
It seems there is no way to select the output like with all other bluetooth devices too
