Bluetooth OBEX connection to Scheduleworld - probl...

I have a little problem connecting with the web calender service

which has many advantages over other such servies, such as offline capability etc. Another big advantage is that you can sync your mobile phone via bluetooth using a Firefox extension, as described here

However, I did not get this going on my Nokia E61i (German version), for the following reason: The scheduleworld description tells how to set up a sync profile in the Nokia, and put a funambol server web address as host in that profile.
However, whenever I try to sync (which is NOT done by starting the sync profile on the phone, but by hitting a button in the Firefox extension), the sync process chooses the built in PC Suite profile which I can neither edit nor remove. The only way to force using the new profile is to tick the "Do not allow connection" (as translated from German) boxes in the PC Suite sync profile AND give as host on the new profile "PC Suite". However, then the sync obviously does not work because the host should be something like "http://sync.scheduleworld.com/funanmbol/ds"
Maybe this is a silly question, but despite long web searches and strong help from the Scheduleworld support, I did not get this fixed (on other Nokias, it has worked, seems to pick the right profile). Any ideas ? How can I delete the "PC Suite" profile? Or is there another way to force the use of the right profile?

BTW, when I sync over GPRS the sync works perfect, but costs me a fortune sync I am abroad.

Solved it... Used Nokia Ovi Suite to connect to Bluetooth device from PC, somehow this program and connection direction worked. When is Nokia going to launch a serious PC tool for its phones? Both PCSuite and Ovi Suite are half-**bleep** programs.

No. Apple TV only uses bluetooth to connect to keyboards. Speakers would have to be airplay complaint.

There's a couple of ways to do it. Go to System Preferences>Sharing>Internet Sharing. Check the box. If the Mac is attached via WiFi, then the dropdown Menu has to say WiFi. If it's Ethernet, then ethernet. I know, obvious, but someone is going to ask.
Next check Bluetooth PAN. Now this wireless has a very short distance and can be interfered with by walls, other devices, etc. On the iPad go to Settings>General>Bluetooth and connect to the Mac.
The better way is for the Mac to be connected to ethernet, and share the WiFi, but you have to do what you have to do.

Mac mini bluetooth audio connection stops when paused

Hello!
I have a Mac mini late 2012, i5 Version, 2.5Ghz as my home Desktop. The OS is 10.9.5 Mavericks.
It's connected to a Logilink Bluetooth to 30 pin dock connector adapter, standing on an Apple Dock, connected to my Home Stereo. My Problem is, that everytime i pause the audio on my mini, the bluetooth connection just stops, and if i press play again, it plays through my internal speaker again.
I temporarily fixed this by playing a 10hour version of a song with 0 volume on itunes, but this shouldn't be a long-time solution.
I tried it with another bluetooth adapter, another dock, another home stereo. The issue probably is Mavericks, with it's awesome bluetooth settings, connect or don't connect.
Is there any program out there which sets the connection to permanent? Or is there an other solution?

Ah, no joy, as suspected...I'm using Boot Camp version 4 and all i got was a flash drive full of boot camp version 3.1 - 3.3? A few firmware upgrades that says it isn't compatible...

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.

Win8 - Bluetooth Audio Connection

Hi everyone,
its day five with Win8 and the next Problem occurs.
In Win7 i installed Bluetooth and connected my Windowsphone7 without ANY Problems, using my X230 for making calls with the setting headset and speakerphone:

Now in Windows8 the option headset and speakerphone does not appear ANY MORE.
THIS IS UNBELIEVABE. Is this a Problem of the Thinkpad's Bluetooth 4.0 Stack?
It may be a Problem of Win8 but I'm not sure.
Up to now, i can STREAM Audio from my Phone to the Computer (holy crap who needs this) but using it for calls... no way, because the phone wont be recognized as in Win7. So now bluetooth has become useless in my Thinkpad.
I really dont know if there will be any solution, but I'm posting for x230 Users to be careful when upgrading to Win8.
There will be much more problems you expect...

When you say always, do you mean that it works sometimes?
I suggest that you make sure that you're using the latest firmware in both phone and Bluetooth device.
Or try to reinstall the firmware.

Setting Up Tethered Bluetooth Cellular Connection?

Can anyone point me to a resource for setting up a tethered bluetooth net connection using my cell phone? I have a Sony W580i which has bluetooth, AT&T's data service, and a brand new MacBook Pro (15"). I have not been able to find anything conclusive about setting up a cellular connection. It doesn't seem like a very intuitive process. Is it even possible?

It is possible, I tether my Blackberry 8800 to my MBP. I honestly can't remember how I did it though, for Tiger there was loads of info on the net, and you had to use a bluetooth script specifically for the phone. I think that changed with Leopard. here's what I have in my Bluetooth settings for the Blackberry: (case sensitive)
Telephone number: wap.cingular
Account name: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
under advanced:
Modem tab:
Vendor: other
Model: Blackberry 8800
Again I think I may have installed a script, but I can't be sure. Try these settings and play around with it, be sure you have dialup networking enabled in the Bluetooth preferences for your phone.

2012 macbook pro bluetooth/airplay connecter

i broke the bluetooth/airplay connecter on my main logic board, just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a new connecter or what the name of the connecter i broke is and its its a hard fix?

Change the audio source to Apple TV before launching airplay, sometimes this solves this problem.

Are you running Leopard on your Mac, Laurie?
If so, try instead updating to iTunes 10.6.3.25. (That supports earlier models of iPhones running iOS 6, even though it can't run the new iPhone 5s.)

Ios 8.1.1 bluetooth drops connection with Honda Accord

My iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1.1, when paired with the audio system in my 2014 Honda Accord will drop the connection after 1 minute when using the AHA app. Also, when I use Bluetooth as the audio source in the car, it will recognize my iPhone, but ignores any request to select music from the phone. These functions worked earlier with my iPhone 4S and IOS7. Is there a temporary fix for these issues?

Similar to VroomVroom: I have iphone 5s, was on iOS7, went to iOS 8.1.2, and I didn't notice that I had lost a specific bluetooth connection: Garmin Smartlink - Live Traffic App. The Garmin Smartlink uses bluetooth to connect to the aftermarket Kenwood DNX891HD I have in my car, this comes with a Navigation GPS included. The Garmin Smartlink app (Live Traffic) provides immediate traffic updates if your city is covered, and my city Cincinati OH is covered. This was all working fine before I upgraded the iOS on the iphone 5S. I read another article related to "carkit" connections between iphones and car stereos (for both NAV and also hands-free) - here is the key point and my theory: Only ONE bluetooth connection can be supported at a time. In my case - the hands-free telephone (thru car microphone and car stereo speakers) works fine, and I believe this is also "shared" by Pandora App (from iphone to Kenwood). So, my theory is the iphone will not connect to the Kenwood for the Nav, since it is already connected to the Kenwood for the audio (Pandora and hands-free, I think these two "share" the same bluetooth connection, and I think the Smartlink connection is separate). I messed around this morning in the parking lot at work, and my attempts to "forget" and "pair" the iphone and Kenwood would continously start playing Pandora, but the Smartlink still will not connect (when it dis work, I would see a green circle with two cars on my Nav map screen, indicating the smartlink connection and also status of the traffic). My next test this afternoon will be to delete Pandora app on the phone, try forget / pair again and see if I can get Smartlink to work. If this works, I'll reinstall Pandora App and try to get it back as well. My past 24 hours of skimming articles (don't ya love the internet !) seems to indicate that I am not the only person with bluetooth problems due to the iOS 8.1.2 update....hey Apple...where's 8.1.3 to fix this ?

9300i bluetooth laptop connection

I have been using my "older" Nokia phone with my laptop so that I've had my laptop as handsfree set.
With the older model I have used the option "Find bluetooth devices with sound" to connect the laptop and the phone.
From Windows Xp I've used the Bluetooth quick connections and headset.
In Nokia 9300 I can't find such "button" to find bluetooth devices with sound abilities. The phone and the laptop can find eachother and are a pair. But when I try to use the Windows Bluetooth headset I get error "No headset service found".
How can I make that connection with my 9300i?

You do not need tethering data to turn on Internet tethering you only need internet and when you do turn it in make sure you can see the CONNECT to BLUE TOOTH option and make sure that that option is on.
It would also help if you had BlackBerry Link
