Bluetooth Off, not Discoverable... but other computer can find it still?
My little mini has bluetooth off, not discoverable. So you'd think... it wouldn't be discoverable.
Yet my other Mac can find this mini just fine via bluetooth (and no, they're not paired) ...
Am I missing something here?
It will not connect to another phone/computer/ipad/etc.
This has never been a feature of iphone/ipod/ipad.
It supports stereo headsets/speakers, telephone headsets/devices, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store and internet tethering where provded by the carrier.

i have iphone 4 and it connect to some wireless networks and some others are not visible while other lphones can find these networks and i tried to restart the phone many times and there is no result, kindly advice
Some updates and clarifications:
1. I already have my 2.4 channel fixed.
2. Wireless network name is 8 alphanumeric characters; no spaces
3. Already using WPA2 security with a 10 alphanumeric key (again, no spaces)
4. I am running Airport Utility 6.0, Mac OS version 10.7.4
I should also say that these problems started happening less than a month ago...prior to that all devices where working normally.
An added update: My two e-readers (nook ST and Kindle 3) are also refusing to connect...perhaps confirming that I have 2.4 GHz issues? -
I have downloaded Firefox for the First time, Firefox can not connect to any website (Unable to COnnect), but IE can. I have followed all the directions on the page for firefox can not load when other programs can (Firefox connection settings,IPv6,DNS Prefetching, firewall settings)

Firefox cannot load websites, but other programs can. Listed guide/faq not effective.
I went through the FAQ guide for firefox not loading webpages, but after having changed both boolean setting in the about:config section of the firefox advanced settings, deleting and re-adding it to the program permissions list in my firewall (mcafee antivirus 2011), and even attempting to completely disable the firewall for a period of time, I am still unable to browse the internet on firefox. Internet explorer, however, does work.

*What exactly happens, or does not happen and do you get any error messages ?
*Is it all websites you have a problem with, or only some ?
* What happens if you work offline, can you load web pages that are saved on your own computer ? <br> (save something with IE, -as HTML web page files - maybe this page, then try opening it with both Firefox and IE)
Can you use firefox to look at your local disk such as (depending on your setup) ''file:///C:/''
Try checking security settings, and security logs, is firefox being blocked ? -

all website went "Not Found HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found." and the "Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can" page is not helping in any waysA possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router. -
When I try to open a gradebook program called powerschool, I get a message that Java is not deteced, but my computer indicates that it has Java. System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

(There may be better or faster DNS numbers in your area, but these should be a good test).
Click OK.
If that doesn't work try changing channels on your Router. -
Hi Apple Team, my iphone can't share bluetooth files with my macbook pro. But other devices can share bluetooth files with my mac book pro. Please, kindly open up bluetooth to accept all connections from all devices. Now it difficult for me to share bluetooth files from my mac bookpro to my iphone, unless i attached it through email.
We need it to be acceptable to all devices.

It's probable that the CD 'side' of the combo drive has failed. That you cannot boot from the recovery CD is pretty much proof of the failure. -
I know how to turn bluetooth off and on but my mac book pro asks me to turn bluetooth power on. How do I do this?
Are you recovering Lion or later Time Machine backup with a Lion or later machine?

background - family community home pc...mozilla worked great for the longest time (along side IE)...all of a sudden mozilla can't connect to any website...IE always can (yuk)
troublshooting steps (still can't connect to web w/firefox):
1. Removed Mozilla, re-installed, same results
2. Searched for all mozilla folders. Deleted two folders and also daughter's mozilla iphone folder. Removed Mozilla, re-installed, set connection to "no proxy", same results.
3. Ran "House Call" - no malware found.
