Bluetooth on Samsung Intensity III

Can Samsung Intensity III connect to multiple bluetooth device?

Hi Verizononly. I'm excitied that you're using the convenience of Bluetooth technology. I have a few different Bluetooth devices I connect to my phone too. You can certainly pair multiple Bluetooth accessories to your Intensity 3, they just can't all be used at the same time. We have a fantastic Bluetooth pairing guide at http://bit.ly/1b2rtGQ to help you with pairing any Bluetooth device to your Intensity 3 too.
Thank you

  • Samsung Intensity III – what do I think about this phone

There is nothing good in the basic phones. If I don’t like touch screen and I have passed the flip phone era, then there are in fact only two (2) phones offered by the Verizon: LG Cosmos 2 and Samsung Intensity III.
Are these phones any good? I don’t think so. The quality of these phones is not even close to the quality of basic phones that we had in the past.
I am the owner of Samsung Intensity III. I “upgraded” my old Samsung Sway (4 years without any problems) to Samsung Intensity III, and I was experiencing any kind of issues – issues, which I never had with my four (4) previous phones (diff models). The time that I spent with VZW tech support and the store employees in three weeks was much greater than the time spent during the last 10 years. Yah!
Since this is the third Samsung Intensity III in three weeks, I think that I could give honest opinion based on facts.
I had to replace the phone twice for different reasons.
With the first phone, I was experiencing very poor signal, drop calls and terrible sound.
With the second phone, after first night in standby mode, the battery was almost discharged. The battery and the charger have been replaced. On the same day, I spent hours with VZW tech support to fix cracking voice and windy noise in the background. At the end I was told that it might be a problem with the phone and I should go to the store and replace the phone.
The phone was replaced. The cracking voice and windy noise is gone but I still have a weak signal and I hear from the callers that sometimes my voice sound like I was distant from the phone.
    I had no problem with:
    1. Setting the alarm
    2. Setting the bluetooth
    3. Transferring the pictures and contacts from the phone to my PC
This phone is very poorly designed with the following issues:
    1. The keys (on the front panel) are so small that is very difficult to touch one key without touching another.
    2. The orange color of the symbols on the keyboard made the symbols hard to read.
    3. VERY small pictures. According to the phone specification: “Display 2.4 inches”. I wonder how it was measured, when the actual width is less than 2" and height approx 2”. But to see the picture in this size, you must set the picture as wallpaper. Otherwise the size of the picture, in the ‘full view’ is only 1 1/2” x 11/8”.
    4. The back cover is made so cheap that I am afraid that I can break after a few openings.
    5. Poor signal (in comparison to my 4 previous phones that I used in the same location)
Why ALL the basic phone models must be slim? I don’t might to have a phone 1” wider.
There is no variety of choices on the design front. I think that most of the basic phone users could prefer to have a phone in the size of the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, just to have a bigger numbers and a bigger screen size.
So far, it look like the Samsung Intensity III could be the worst cell phone I have owned.
I just don’t understand the phone manufacturers. Why do they cease production of a good quality phone, only to replace by piece of crap?

    Junk.
I picked up an Intensity III a couple weeks ago to replace a perfectly good LG Venus that Verizon doesn't want to support any longer. The Samsung appeared to successfully pair with all the Bluetooth devices I tried (3 different headsets (two from LG and one from Samsung) and one vehicle (2011 Hyundai Sonata)), but would not successfully connect with any of them. Samsung's technical support people said I should refer the problem to the Bluetooth device manufacturers, because it wasn't Samsung's responsibility to make their device work with any particular other device. I thought there were "standards" for things such as Bluetooth, to try and insure these types of problems don't happen. I thought it was likely there was something wrong with the particular handset I had and Verizon's technical support people tended to agree with me. But I didn't like Samsung's "blame someone else" attitude and so I exchanged the Intensity III for a somewhat identical feature-wise LG Cosmos 2 last week. So far, except for hanging each night when Backup Assistant runs, the Cosmos 2 is working well and according to those I've talked to and asked, sounding better.

  • How do I stop the "factoid add" from popping up on my Samsung Intensity III?

I have a Samsung Intensity III and about every hour or so when I pick up my phone, I find that there is a "factoid" add as my lock screen.  It's supper annoying.  How can I go about disabling it?  Does it use data?

Is this the "Daily Scoop" app?  If it is, try these two things:
1 Launch Daily Scoop: Media Center  > Browse & Download menu > Daily Scoop icon.
2 In Daily Scoop: Menu > Options > Verizon Msgs > Off.
3 In Daily Scoop: Menu > Options > Bonus Msgs > Off.
You can also try unsubscribing on the web via the steps below:
    1 Go to https://support.mobileposse.com
2 Click Click Here under "Opt-Out".
3 Enter the MDN and email address. Select the reason for unsubscribing.
4 Enter the code in the field and click Submit.

  • Samsung Intensity III won't make calls

My Samsung Intensity III is stuck in roaming mode and won't make calls.  Any suggestions?

My home is zip code 97016.  The phone has worked fine for the year or so
that I've had it until the last couple of weeks.  When I try to make a
call from home, I get the "Welcome to Verizon, not able to complete the
call as dialed" message  Then the recording says something like "4
switch 6-6". It is an intermittent problem, but is upsetting to not be
able to rely on the phone working.  This morning the phone is working,
but I'm not confident that it will last.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Samsung intensity III

6hrs with Verizon- in person on line, at store..still no one is able to transfer contact info, pix, etc to this new phone.."computer gluche'!! anyone else having this problem?/ now I'm still on hold with tech rep!1

If the battery is good – the battery life is not short. You probably have a bad battery in your phone. I had this problem.
Currently, I have the third Samsung Intensity III. First phone had a good battery, but had some other problems. Second phone had bad battery. After approx 8 hours on standby, the battery was almost discharged.
I went to the store and they exchange the battery and the charger. The battery was holding okay, but the phone had terrible sound, so the phone was exchange two days later.
In the third phone the battery is working fine.
Ask VZW tech support to note your account about the battery problem and then go to the VZW store. They should replace the battery without a problem during 14 days from the date of purchase. Try the store even if these 14 days have passed.
If this will not work, the factory warranty should help you.

  • Will someone please help me with this Samsung Intensity III??

I have had this Intensity III for 3 days now. I stay completely confused EVERY time I open the menu. Somehow I was in "Phone Settings" & accidentally chose "NAM Select". I don't have any idea what "NAM" even means!! When I tried to exit that place "Auto NAM Select". The only option was "OK", which made to phone automatically turn off showing "Reset". I am not sure what the original settings were, so I don't know if I even changed anything. Each "NAM" option have different choices. I am SO confused!!!    Any help would be SUPER appreciated!! Thanks, I hope to hear form someone!

  • How to transfer photos/music to Samsung Intensity III?

Been trying to move photos I had on my Intensity II over to my new Intensity III. Seems to be more of a hassle than anything. I tried to go on my PIX place album and text them to myself as the VZW chat person told me. That didn't work. Only was acting like I got a picture message, but it was actually just a blank text coming thru.
Tried to connect to the USB port on my computer and send them that way. Somehow I got one pic to show up. But when I access the phone thru the computer it will show more pics are on there. But I'm not seeing them on my phone. I even powered down and then back on to see if any change. And nothing.
So far I tried to move 2 pics off my computer to the phone. Only one shows up. And it is there twice. Not sure how I accomplished that. Also moved a song over. But it isn't actually on my phone anywhere, but it shows up when I access phone thru computer. Songs I have are in MP3 format. But do not show up when I go to My Music on the phone.
Very frustrated. maybe things aren't compatible in terms of music? Thinking I just won't bother anymore and just take new pics to have on my phone instead.

I can understand your desire to keep your music and pictures, mws_1984. I have made so many memories over the years and many of those memories were captured with my wireless phone. The only way to truly transfer music and pics from basic phone to basic phone is via SD card. You can save the data on your old phone to the SD card. Once you reinsert the SD card in the new device your files should appear. Please let me know if this helps.

  • "Automatic" messages on Samsung Intensity III

Anyone have any knowledge on how to turn off the "automatic" messages on the Samsung Integrity III? I set these up when I got my phone and didn't realize what they would turn out to be. Now, they are an excuse to accidentally click on a button that will ring up a charge. These messages include things like today's weather, gas prices, today in business, etc. Thanks for any help!

Ah... I think (I hope I figured it out. Instructions to turn "Daily Scoop" off are here:

  • Samsung Intensity III Backlight

The screen backlight on my Intensity III goes off completely while receiving or making a call.  I can't check during the call how long the call is lasting, signal strength, or time of day etc.  When ending the call I have to press the red button twice - once to restore the backlight, and again to end the call.
This is a terrible design flaw.  The one time you do need to see the screen is during a call.  Is there a fix or a way around it?

Thanks for sharing your issue taratot. I can see why checking your phone during the call would be necessary. Does the backlight go off completely right away? Try pressing your okay button while on the call. Does the screen light up? Try also changing your backlight settings by going to Settings & Tools, Display Settings, Backlight, Display, Duration. Extend the time.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Bluetooth Samsung Intensity III and Mac 10.8.4

I got the phone and the Mac to pair, but never got them to maintain a connection.  They both discover, but the Mac can't browse the phone.
I want to transfer my pictures from the phone to my Mac.
Any  ideas on how to do this successfully?
    Thanks in advance for advice.

    Some further info
In our testing without cluster migration we have noticed that volumes have been dropped.
When the Macs went to sleep (for about 15 minutes) - all the volumes were present.
When they were asleep for longer - some volumes dropped but not all ?

  • Samsung Intensity III - Drafts

Is there a way to save my Drafts to my sd card?
I have many that I use all the time. Under options Manage Drafts then Copy To Card.
I've marked them all and sent to card. Now I can't find them on my sd card.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Bob Z

        jdubs1211,
We want you to be able to manage your line's access to data. You are able to block your data, but certain blocks may impede functions, like multimedia texting (MMS), since that uses small amounts of data. You will see that there is an option for blocking web browsing and that will not affect your MMS since it is specifically for just the web browser.

  • Samsung Galaxy III software update.

My phone is asking me to update the Samsung Galaxy III for software updates. Should I do this or is it a spam?

After the update, I spent an hour an hour or two setting all my ringtones back to the way they were before the update, turning my notification tones back on, turning off the camera flash when my phone rings, etc.  What a pain that was.  But my bluetooth was still flaky.
So after researching the forums, I found this "quick and easy" solution which seemed to have worked:
TrumpetWarrior Jan 8, 2014 2:27 PM (in response to Incredible-vzw)
OK, I fixed mine, and thought I would post to everyone interested.
I have a Samsung GS3, and got the update 2 days ago. The update reset several things I didn't notice before, like I had to download and install swift key, and some other apps, but nevertheless, this is what I did.
    On the GS3 Phone:
    1) Settings > About Phone > Device Name and changed the name of my phone back to the name I like to use. This will show up on the car (Sync) as the BT device. My wife and I have the same phone and cannot tell the difference if they are both the same name. The update had changed it back to the default name.
    2) Settings > Bluetooth , While the BT is turned on, click on the Sync setting icon on the right and pick Un-pair the sync device,
    3) Turn off BT, and go under Settings > Application Manager. Scroll to the right until you get to "All". Scroll down til you see Bluetooth Share. Force stop, Clear cache and Clear Data.
    4) Shut your phone down, and take the battery out.
On the Car: I have a Ford Escape 2014 with Sync.
Basically, you will have to do a factory reset, but on mine, it didn't hurt or lose anything.
    1) Mine was under Settings > System > Factory Reset (May take 5 mins)
    2) Put your phone battery back in and boot up your phone and turn on bluetooth
    3) Once the Ford Sync has booted up, add the device and just follow the instructions on the screen and pair the phone back up. Your phone may prompt you for access to your contacts and to download your contacts. Be sure to click the don't show again and click OK
Mine works even better than before!! Text messages are coming in again, and the Bluetooth media stereo is working again too. Pandora is awesome over Bluetooth.
On the Ford Sync, the only thing I had to set back was the Voice command under settings (I like the advanced option so she does not repeat everything I say) , and under the phone settings for my GS3, I turn on 911, and I set the ring tone to text to speech. I like it to announce who is calling rather than the ringer. And that is it!
You might could get away with less steps, but this is what I did and it was minimal. Better than trying to factory rest your phone or something.
    Good Luck!

  • How do I make it so my phone can send Multimedia messages again? Samsung Intensity II

I'm not sure if this is even where I am supposed to post this, I've been having a few difficulties navigating around the site as it is, so my apologies if it is in the incorrect section or anything.
I have a Samsung Intensity II, and up until today it was perfectly fine. but now it wont send Multimedia messages anymore, I think I may have accidentally changed a setting on it some how. So far I haven't seen any other problems with it.
Every time I try to send a Multimedia message of any kind, to anyone, it will sort of freeze on the percentage sent bar, for about 5 or so minutes, and then it will continue through all the way to 100% pausing like that, and then say "send failed would you like to try again?"
I can receive Multimedia messages, and text messages, I can send text messages, but not multimedia messages. It fails every time.
I have turned my phone off and back on, I have removed the battery and put it back in, nothing has changed. actually about the only thing I've seen change since the first time it wouldn't send, is that it pauses on 29% instead of 19%.
If you can tell me what setting may have changed this, or another way for me to transfer my pictures, I would be very appreciative. Thank you for your time.

        Hi okikust,
I use picture messages all of the time! I understand why you would want this corrected as soon as possible. I would like to look at your account, in order to determine the root cause of the issue and fix it! Please send me a DM with your name, mobile number, and contact number. I will be happy to review this personally. Thanks!
