Bluetooth output?

I have a device called iShower.  It's like a waterproof radio for the shower, but it uses Bluetooth to receive a signal from iPad or iPhone.  I use it to play music or satellite radio on either my iPad or iPhone.  It has multiple Bluetooth "channels" to pair various devices. I can't find a way to transmit music from my iMac to the iShower device.  I'm using Bluetooth on my iMac for a Magic Trackpad, but in that case, the iMac is receiving the signal.  Is there a way to make the iMac transmit a signal?  Is there such a thing as AirPlay on the iMac?

  • IOS 7 PROBLEM OF BLUETOOTH OUTPUT..

The time I update my iphone 5 to ios 7  my output audio of my bluetooth got problem..is there any solution to adjust the volume? i tried the volume of the unit and the iphone, it did not work...

There are 2 new things & one old thing that might be causing this issue. Of the new things, one is on the phone itself under Settings > Music: scroll down you'll find a new option to "show all music."  If this is on, all of your "cloud" music will appear (which, if you're like me and don't really use the cloud, means music purchased in the iTunes store). So turn that sucker off & those tracks should go away.
Next thing to check is that when you sync your iphone (this setting is on your Mac), go to Music, then look at Playlists and you'll see a new Purchased playlist above all the other ones. It may be checked by default, which would (again) result in all your iTunes Store purchases showing up when you don't necessarily want them to. Uncheck that.
Now for the old thing, when you purchase a track from iTunes Store and then sync your iPhone, the ALBUM will be checked and will sync and keep syncing until you find it and uncheck it. You can find this by highlighting your phone while connected to iTunes (setting is on your computer again), going to Music, then to Albums and scrolling down to find the offending items (they'll be listed under Albums even if you only bought a single). Also wouldn't hurt to take a trip through Arists, Playlists and Genres to make sure nothing is ticked there that shouldn't be.
It's all new to me too, so apologies if none of this works but it should be a start, at least.

  • Does GarageBand support Bluetooth output at all?

I have an iPad running IOS 4.3 when I first tried GarageBand it worked through my Bluetooth jam box speaker
But now it doesn't I have tried doing resets etc , but every other sound app works a treat through the jam box , but GarageBand won't. Has anyone cured this problem?

I have the same problem, using iPad and IOS 4.3. I would hope that I am doing something wrong, in my settings somewhere. Wireless speakers are important. My wireless headphones work with all the other sound generating programs. jtcnet

  • Why can't I use Airplay/Bluetooth audio output and Guitar input at the same time?

Just trying to understand why it is not possible to use one of the 3rd party guitar input devices and have AirPlay/Bluetooth output turned on at the same time.  it would be very nice to be able to play wirelessely to the stereo instead of adding yet another cable to the mix.
    Thanks

    I found the answer:
Use GarageBand for iOS with external output devices
You can use GarageBand for iOS with external devices, including AirPlay, Bluetooth, and HDMI-equipped media devices. When using any of these devices there is no support of audio input.

  • Ford Sync & Bluetooth Settings

    Hi!
I've only had Sync for a couple of weeks, so forgive me for being a newbie. I setup my iPhone 4 perfectly, playing music through USB and phone services through Bluetooth. The other day, I decided to listen to music through Bluetooth, and ever since then, my iPhone defaults to playing through Bluetooth every time I start my car. The biggest problem is that I have to then manually go on my iPhone and tell it to send audio through the Dock Connector.
How do I fix this? I want the Dock to be the preferred option, not Bluetooth audio.
    Thanks!
    -Eric

Well.. I just hit the voice command, said "Bluetooth Audio," then play. You can control the music through your iPhone then (as you would if you were listening through headphones).
Also, you'll notice a Bluetooth symbol next to the volume bar, if you tap that, a Bluetooth output menu appears. If you're not docked, it should say "SYNC" and "Speaker." Select "SYNC." When it's docked, it'll say "SYNC" or "Dock Connector." That's where mine defaults to "SYNC," but I want it to default to "Dock Connector."
    I hope that helps you.

  • Notifications while using Bluetooth Headset

I love BT, however, I do not want to wear my headset 24/7 especially when I'm working.  When connected to BT Headset notification sounds become mute, actually delivered only through headset, where I don't hear Text Messages.  This is annoying as I cannot continously visually monitior my phone all day while working.  Am I missing a setting or is there a third party app that will circumvent this muting?
    Thanks.

While natively there is no support for individual control of apps' sounds, you can choose between outputting sound (sounds running through your system, like from your browser or spotify or whatever) and outputting alerts + sound effects.
Open Audio MIDI Setup (I use launchpad for this, just open launchpad and type "Audio" to pull it up).
Currently I've got a few extra software outputs so you can ignore those, we'll just focus on the Bluetooth Music Receiver (the bottom one) and Built-In Output.
    http://i.imgur.com/nDGxpK2.png
Right-click/control-click on your bluetooth output, whatever it's called, and you'll get a dropdown menu.
    http://i.imgur.com/gVeWv7H.png
From there you'll be able to select what you want to output through it.
Currently I have my music playing through my laptop speakers and all the sound effects/notifications/alerts/etc get played through the headphones, but you could have that reverse if you'd like.

  • Difficulty finding bluetooth headset stereo settings - my headset only plays in mono mode

I've been trying to locate the settings specifically for allowing bluetooth output in stereo (not mono).  I swear I've seen them before but after cycling through the menu "Open Bluetooth Preferences" from the top right menu bar it is not an available option.  My headphones sound terrible and I know it's just a setting issue.  The navigation to find it seems terrible.

Okay, rigerous testing now points in the direction that Vista cannot handle the Mono microphone while playback is stereo.
If anyone has duplicated the above experiment using another mic (laptop mic built-in) it works in STEREO!!! .. Yay! So what remains is how to trick the system so it believes the BH-503 is stereo as well. My laptop mic is definitely not stereo but Vista classifies it as High Definition Audio. Can this be accomplished with the BH-503 mic as well?

  • Strange bluetooth problem dell inspiron 1545 laptop

Hello friends, I've got a full working install of arch on my dell inspiron 1545 laptop. At first, bluetooth was working with the blueman-applet. After an upgrade to bluez(i suppose), it suddenly stopped working. The laptop bluetooth is on, the device is discoverable, it even successfully recognizes the phone I'm trying to pair. • IMessages + Belkin Bluetooth HD audio receiver

I would LOVE to work iMessages with the Belkin Bluetooth HD audio receiver as an output. I can set it in the System Preferences > Sound as a main output, it works nice. However, I am unable to set the Bluetooth output in iMessages. Why?

    Hi,
    iChat 5 pic
I am not booted into Mountain Lion or Mavericks at the moment to be able to compare but I am sure that Mountain Lion (Messages 7) and Mavericks (Messages 8) do not have this extra Bluetooth option.
As I said it did require that it was set up "first" in System Preferences.
I see you have SoundFlower (that has been an issue in the past for iChat Audio).
Any chance your can use that to select the device ?
The other thing to note that the iChat setting is for a Headset  and not just an optional Output device.
It was set in Input as well as Output in System Preferences (and in iChat once it was set up).
I am not sure why it does not show up though.

  • IChat Video/audio preferences hangs up

    heLLo,
Recently, whenever I wanna change the preferences of the video or audio (let's say change the bandwidth or output) this windo hangs up for about a good minute, which rather longer than expected!!! Why??
I only have conference recorder & iGlasses installed on it, and I don't think it did anything to it, as I've uninstalled them already to test: no success.
I've tried to trash the pref files, but nothing. I might have to reinstall it with pacifist.
    Thanx

    Chris,
thanx, but I've done all that already.
But it seems I might have found what the problem could be:
I use a D-Link Bluetooth USB , and I think for some reasons, if I wanna go in the system Pref in Bluetooth, it just hangs up. Same if I wanna connect Address Book with bluetooth, hangs up. So I disconnect the D-Link Bluetooth USB , and replug it, and works fine for a while until it happens again. When the bluetooth is workin, the video/audio pref in iChat are totally OK, no hangs up. (Guess when the iChat pref is looking for the bluetooth output or headset, and if the bluetooth module isn't properly working, then it might cause the hangs up).
Now, why do my D-Link Bluetooth USB is doing that is another question. It simply plugged on USB2 hub (with AC adapter). So I might try to plug it straight at the backof the iMac to test.
I've just trashed the Bluetooth pref (the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist one, are there any other I should trash?)
    Thanx. The Hunt carries on

  • Any fix for this awful GB iOS shortcoming?

    Hello to all
I cannot believe that this is still a prominent issue...
A delay playing Touch instruments through a Bluetooth output?
Simply adore GB for the iOS, great App, but no Live Bluetooth?
Any suggestions or is it simply waiting for a potential fix in further updates?
    Thank You

My iPad 3rd gen also has much lower translucence than my iPhone 5 on both notification and control center, but not quite none. I can make out the icons and some of the bolder pattern in the wallpaper "through" the centers on the iPad 3 if I look closely. They are much more apparent and colorful on the iPhone 5, matching what is in the video.
What little bleed-through there is can be turned off entirely by enabling "Increase Contrast" in Settings > General > Accessibility. If you have that turned on, try turning it off.

  • IPhone 4S audio only playing through my iPod dock

My iPhone 4s audio is only working when I play it through an external device, such as an iPhone dock or the bluetooth output in my car, but it will not play audio through my external speakers or through a pair of headphone. Where the volume bar is at the bottom of the music app, it appears gray as if it is plugged into an external device when it is not. Hopefully someone can help!

    Hi MSavageXIV,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you are not hearing sound from your iPhone when using headphones, start with these troubleshooting steps:
Inspect the headset jack for debris and clean if necessary.
Connect the headset and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume up and down button on the left side of the iPhone.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music on iPhone is not paused. Try squeezing the headset microphone to resume playback. Additionally, from the Home screen you can choose iPod > Now Playing, then tap Play.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPhone with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).
Try another Apple headset (some third-party headsets require an adapter to be used with original iPhone).
Try a different song or video.
Check to see if the iPhone alert sounds or other iPhone sound effects exhibit the same audio issues.
Disconnect the headset from the iPhone and see if sound comes from the built-in speaker.
If you do not hear sound from the built in speaker, try these steps:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.

  • CK-200 Specification and Windows phones

    Hi,
Looking for some information\help. I recently had another brand of bluetooth car kit installed, it works but it can't cope with the relatively quiet bluetooth output volume of my XDA windows mobile phone, call volume is too low to be usable on the move at all. I have no faith in that brands products now.
So, I am considering ripping it out and trying a Nokia CK-200 install instead. 1st question has anyone tried pairing a CK-200 with a Windows Mobile (V6.1) phone and how did it get on?
My O2 XDA Zest should work although not specifically listed as other Windows Mobile 6.1 phones are on the compatibility list.
2nd I can't find much spec. on the CK-200, what is the audio output power of the module?
3rd anyone fitted one found the volume good when using the car speakers and the CK-200's own amplifier? can you have a good conversation at motorway speed?
Thanks, just taken on a new car for 4 years and I need to sort out a good system but I don't want to change my phone as I have invested a lot in it.

Anyone? PLEASE! I am getting very lonely  on trips in my car not being able to talk to anyone, need to move on and find a solution.

Just tested something and it worked.
If I put the headphones all the way in, the mac recognizes it as a digital output.
But if i don't put it all the way in, it recognizes it as headphones and works perfectly.
    It's probably this crappy headphones.
If anyone has the same problem, try this out.
