Bluetooth Pairing with Windows 7 - 64 Bit

How can I pair my phone to my computer that is running Windows 7 - 64Bit. When I use the Desktop Manager to change my bluetooth options, I can't check on any of the boxes to configure or turn on the bluetooth. What's up with that?

Lumia 800 BlueTooth pairing with Windows 7 PC not ...

Today i tried pairing up my Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows 7 PC, the bluetooth pairing is not working. The Nokia Lumia 800 is saying my Windows 7 PC as 'not supported'. I quite dont understand this behavior, earlier i tried to pair with my other Android phone, same issue. Am I missing anything in this.

Bluetooth Sync with Windows Vista - 64 bit

Recently found out that i have to use bluetooth to hot sync to my desktop PC. It is a 64 bit Windows Vista. I have the bluetooth device (USB), what do i need to do to the PALM device (T/X) to make sure the sync is appropriate?

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. First your computer has to have bluetooth compatibility, if it is not built in then you will need to purchase a bluetooth dongle. They are relatively cheap as I have seen them from $2 on up. Next you would want to follow the following link as it has full instructions how to set it up as well as many other users that will be able to help answer your questions.

Bluetooth hotsynch in Windows 7 64 bit

Trying to set up my wife's Tungsten E2 to hotsynch with her new HP TouchSmart 64 bit machine running Win7. USB is not supported, so following Palm chat support instructions, I activated a Bluetooth adapter on the computer and downloaded Desktop 6.2. The Tungsten sees the computer, so the Bluetooth is working; but the desktop software does not provide a Bluetooth option in the HotSynch connections options -- just USB, network and serial. I note that before Vista, you had to create a virtual serial port for the Bluetooth to work (something I don't know how to do), but I would assume that since Win7 comes after Vista, you don't need to do that. According to the instructions I was provided, all you have to do is select the "Bluetooth" option (which does not exist). (Online chat doesn't seem to be working right now -- each time I try it, there is no response.)
An update: I should have searched the messages further before I posted -- my apologies. Anyhow, I tried the solution offered with respect to uninstalling Desktop 6.2 and doing a clean reinstall. Deleted the requisite folders, but after using control panel to do the uninstall, did not see any registry entrees such as those listed. Did a reinstall, but desktop is still not offering me the bluetooth option for connection.
Any (other) suggestions?

I am also having a problem pairing my Tour with Windows 7 64 bit.
I just installed Blackberry Desktop 6 which claims to fix this problem but no luck.(I had the problem when I was running Desktop 5 also).
I have a Toshiba Tecra laptop. The laptop and phone recognize each other and are paired, but when I go to Blackberry Device Manager or BB Desktop, the option to select bluetooth is grayed out.

Calendar syncing with Windows 7 64 bit

I can sync all applications with Windows 7 64 bit via Bluetooth except calendar/datebook. It synced one time but now gets hung up every time I try to resync. Can anyone help me?

Hello Bogey,
You might want to try setting the calendar/date book conduit to desktop overwrites handheld and then trying to sync again. If the database on the Treo is damaged, this should force the database to be reloaded from the desktop.

Help, hotsync palm treo 755p to my laptop with windows vista 64 bit.

I am computer unsavy and could use some help. I have a palm treo 755p that previously synced with my old dell laptop. That computer broke, and I got a new HP with windows vista 64 bit. Previously, the dell was running windows xp. I have bought some new software, which I have downloaded to my laptop, and am trying to sync my palm to the new computer so that I can download the program to the computer. However, after installing the Palm Hotsync Manager and other software, and when I trying to sync, the computer does not seem to recognized my palm, and times out after a while stating "the connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again.

Palm OS devices will only sync to 64bit through Bluetooth. We have a stickie concerning this. It's the third topic down under windows hotsync. Does your computer have Bluetooth?

Adobe PDF Printer not working as print driver; 9.5.5 (pro) with Windows 7, 64 bit

I have installed, repaired, uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat Pro 9.5.5 on a newly formatted SSD with Windows 7, 64 bit on my desktop machine. The program was installed from Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 and updated within the program. I have the program also installed on my laptop, and the Adobe PDF Printer driver is working properly on my laptop.
On my desktop with the newly formatted SSD, the Adobe PDF printer driver is not working. Note that I am using the printer driver, and not any pdf creation techniques within MS Office or other programs.
When I go to the Adobe PDF printing preferences on my desktop, I only get a generic, two tab window open. When I print a file to this printer on my desktop machine, I do not get a window opening that asks where to create the pdf or what to name it, and I never see any files created. In MS Word, the Create PDF option under the Acrobat tab works and opens a dialog to ask the name and location to save, and then opens a PDF Maker progress window and properly creates the file. I can also save a file as an .eps or .ps file and use Distiller to create the pdf. However I cannot get the Adobe PDF printer driver in my Devices and Printers to work properly, although it works just fine on my laptop with the same program (Pro 9.5.5) and same Windows version (7, 64 bit).
Repairing, uninstalling and re-installing does not solve the problem. Acrotray.exe *32 process is running. Any ideas on why this won't run properly on my desktop, but will run on a similarly configured laptop?

I found this answer from Deepak Chauhan on another forum, and it solved this problem!
Try this to add Adobe PDF printer manually on Windows 7, and Windows Vista.
If windows 7 is Enterprise or better edition: (Admin rights required)
Start>search for printmanagement.msc and open the print management module
Expand the print server and expand the computer name to see availbale printers, drivers and printer ports.
- from printers ensure there's no Adobe PDF printer, if there is delete it
- go to ports and delete the PDF ports (the ones ending in *.pdf)
- go to drivers and delete the PDF converter.
Take note if any errors occur, but continue with the following steps regardless.
If on windows 7 home edition, just goto start>Devices and Printers and ensure PDF pritner is not listed.
Then open the registry (if any erors deleting these keys happen, see below)
1: go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers
delete any adobe PDF printer subkey present
2: go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors
delee the PDF port monitor if present
3: go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers
again delete and pdf printer subkey
If any erros occur, you need to set the owner of the key to the currently logged in admin user, then ensure that user has full control.
Do this by right-click the key and selecting permissions, clicking on advanced, then the owner tab.
Once you've all that has been done, open a command line as administrator.
Copy and pate the following commands in order
1: net stop spooler
2: rundll32.exe setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AdobePDFPortMonitor 128 C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\AdobePDF.inf
3: net start spooler
4:rundll32.exe printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "Adobe PDF" /f "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\AdobePDF.inf" /r "Documents\*.pdf" /m "Adobe PDF Converter"
That should set back the pdf printer.
This seemed to provide the link that provided the Adobe PDF Settings tab to the Adobe PDF Printing Preferences that was missing!

Flash player 11.0.1.152 installation problem with Windows Vista 64-Bit

Hello,
I just can't get Flash Player to install on my computer with Windows Vista 64-Bit - doesnt matter if I try with Firefox, Opera or IE (I usually use Firefox).
The download isn't a problem, but when I start the downloaded .exe, this file just disappears from my download folder and nothing happens - besides starting a process called install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih_3.exe, which does nothing. The usual installation popup never appears. After that I can't try starting the installation again, until disabling the process via task manager ("Only a single instance of this application may run"). Doesn't matter if I try the download and installation with or without "McAffe Security Plus" btw - same result.
I never had such a problem before - Flash Player 10.3 was and is no problem to install and use.
I have tried all the measures suggested in the troubleshooting section on the official site, including the advanced troubleshooting measures (uninstall old version, run as administrator, disabling software firewalls, disabling virus scanner etc.). Nothing helps.
I don't got those problems with my laptop running Windows 7 - just my desktop computer with Vista 64-Bit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a sony laptop with windows 7 (64 bit) which I upgraded to windows 8 64 bit. But the machine had to be formatted and this time loaded windows 8 32 bit. Now I have tried itunes for 32bit win 8 as well as for 64bit win 8 but none is getting installed

The message I get is, "this programme is not compatible for your pc" (or words to that affect since I dont remember the exact words but this is the meaning).

I am using Windows 7 and when i went to load software for my docking station, HP FQ834UT USB Universal Docking Station, it said it couldn't use the driver. Is there a software upgrade to allow this driver to work on a HP laptop with Windows 7 64 bit operating system?

I have the same issue - I have it installed on my Windows 7 64-bit machine and although it is running, it doesn't work. I am sitting here in Starbucks, which has a Verizon Wifi hotspot (actually Boingo - which is what Verizon Wi-Fi uses) and the "Connect" box does not appear. I had the same issue at an airport recently. It's one of the worse pieces of software I have had the misfortune to use. When it fails to connect, it causes the Wifi connection to drop (incompatibility with Lenovo Access Connections, maybe). I don't think that Verizon understands the meaning of "QA" and "Software Testing".

The Photosmart 7960 Photo Printer does not have full support in Windows 7. There is no driver available to download on the hp site, but instead there is a limited driver built into the Windows 7 operating system. What this means is that basic print functionality will work for your product in Windows 7, but you might lose some other functionalities. I have used the HP Laserjet p2015d with Windows 7 32 bit operating system and have been able to use the AUTOMATIC DUPLEX feature of the printer without problems.
Now, however, I have installed the 64 bit version of Windows 7 operating system and the AUTO DUPLEX does not work and is not shown as being available on the PROPERTIES menu of the printer.
Is it possible to use the AUTO DUPLEX feature of the printer with Windows 7 64 bit operating system.

Hi Aaron,
Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:
Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.
Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.
