Bluetooth present but says unable to validate device.
I have a powerbook G4 and a Mac Mini G4 they are both running 10.4.9 and were able to comunicate before upgrading, now neither computer will find the other when I search for devices. Can anyone help.
I've got the same problem ... probalby since last software update. My G4 powerbook won't talk to bluetooth devices. A very useful "an error occured" message comes up for a moment just before it announces it couldn't find the device.

Bluetooth and motorola e770 "unable to validate device" ???
hey everyone --
did some hunting online this morning and see that quite a few people have been having trouble connecting their motorola phones to their ibooks. i have a g4 with os x 10.4 and a motorola e770 (vodafone spain). after pairing correctly the phone and the ibook, i tried to send a file (.mp3 and later a .jpeg) and got the error "unable to validate device". I have no idea why it won't work, considering the computer recognizes the motorola and vice versa.
tried restaring both phone and ibook and uninstalling/reinstalling the bluetooth recognition/connection. no luck. anyone have any advice??oh i must tell you all that this is the worste phone i ever owned, and ive read many people saying that motorola is nothing but garbage these days.
the phone does various noticable things at glance, like freezes up when switching between menues after a few times for a few minutes , not one but few, and if you hit any buttons the one that seems to work the best in waking it up is the one for the web, and that costs 30 cents at starts, this happened 11 times, cant help it since the same button has several functions, beware that the screen changes menu options for that button.
i recomend you take that phone back and smqack the guy who sold it to you, this way retail clerks have more sense then to lie thourgh there teeth about such a phone, its a sham. -

All settings correct both in phone and Mac - checked several times.
Devices paired successfully and both show up properly.

I received my serial number online and went through the installation process. After it was successfully installed I wend to open Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and followed the prompt to enter my serial number and then received this error message "We are unable to validate this serial number for Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. Please Contact Customer Support."
I've read several FAQ and troubleshooting discussions but none have touched specifically on this.
I would have called customer support but did not see a number to call.

Keeps telling me to agree to terms but saying unable to connect to server
Since I updated the software it wont let me turn on icloud until I agree to the new terms. When I try it says "Unable to connect to server" I have tried turning my phone on wi-fi, with out wi=fi, restarting it etc nothing works!

Bluetooth connects but will not pair to device
Iphone 5 running on 7.1.2. bluetooth connects to CAR KIT but will not pair (does not ask for code after connecting). audio only plays from phone and not through the speakers connected by bluetooth. I have done the apple trouble solution steps and the problem still persists. any help would be appreciated. the device is compatible with iPhone.

It sounds like your phone is not pairing to your vehicles bluetooth connection. I would recommend these steps to get it paired, from the following article:

On your iOS device, tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your device in the list. If your device says Not Connected, tap the name of your accessory to attempt to connect it.

Can't pair to a Bluetooth accessory
If you see the word "Connected" next to a Bluetooth accessory in Settings > Bluetooth, your iOS device is already paired to a Bluetooth accessory. Remember, you can only connect to one Bluetooth accessory at a time.
If your Bluetooth accessory requires a PIN for pairing, be sure that you are entering the correct PIN1.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.

My time/calendar can't determine location. Was fine before now says unable to determine location
I need some help in getting my clock/calendar to work again. Was fine till recently then reverted back to 2000 with messed up time. Tried to use set time automatically function but says unable to determine location. Went to manually set time zone, date and time but the time now wanders off and does seem to properly keep time. Anyone know what I can do to get the auto function to work again?
Hey Man I have the same problem, One day the screen just went black and from then onwards it has been reall problematic, I went to the apple store but they wanted about 100 bucks to have a look at it, although they did a diagnostic for free, but it didnt reval anything.
They said it was either the screen or the graphics card, and each one cost 750USD but 100USD to find out which........ I didnt fork out the cash though, a bit expensive!!!!!!!
However I did get the computer back up and running, by holding Opt on start up, mostly it goes to the f**king dark blue screen with the vertical lines. But every 10 to 15 goes I can get to the disk utility, If you run the repair disk and repair premonitions, then start up again it should boot up, you may get a day or two out of it before BOOM back the blue screen of vertical death.
I believe its the graphics thats busted, (which is soldered to the logicboard) so the only to fix it according to the apple guys is to get a new one at 750USD and about 2 weeks to get it done. here is a app called gfxCardStatus, and it tells you which card ur using (there is 2) when the card switches the computer crashes, you can set the app to only use the "Intrergrated card" but you cant watch movies or iweb, camera, just web browsing and text stuff....... the other HD card does all the other heaver graphic processing............
I hope this helps, but all in all, lots of people have had the same problem and Apple have not declared it a fault on there part, they boast about the quality of there products but in essence my last macbook died suddenly........ I invested in a macbookpro (early 2011) the graphics card is broke, the trackpad doesnt work properly and the screen has screenburn all over the edges and sides........... Seriously!!!! and the reply was buy another computer from the apple guys!!!!!! Pretty disappointed. -
I'm unable to add the email address for iMessage, that I was using before iOS 7 to my iPhone, because it says that it is "in use by another device," but I have no other devices. How do I resolve this so I can add this email address to my iPhone to send and recieve iMessages?
Sync your iPhone to iTunes, and see if that does the trick. Also you could try a Soft Reset with no Risk to Data. Holding down both the Sleep button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears and then waiting for the Reset to bring you iPhone back to the lock screen. Are you trying to add the email at Settings>Messages>Send and Receive from (2 Addresses) your iPhone number and your email address?

Have downloaded i Tunes 10.5.1.42 but get an error message on installation saying unable to write to CFNetwork.dll. This file is present in Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support which is where it should be....any ideas??

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
Have just purchased extra storage and had it confirmed but iPhone won't backup after following all the instructions message says unable to be completed other devices from this location are backing up successful

Why does my iPhone 4 Bluetooth just keeps saying "Searching" but won't show devices.
When I go to my bluetooth settings, it says it's in discoverable mode & just keeps searching and not popping up any devices. I have iOS 7.0.2. I'm trying to connect my bluetooth headphones.
I even tried to use bluetooth connection on both my parents' iphones, it just keeps saying "searching".
