Bluetooth problems all around - Modem in the first row.

Hi there,
I've got a really annoying problem with the Bluetooth Setup of my Mac. Like you can see in my system description, I use Mac OS X 10.5.6. For a long time I used my old mobile via Bluetooth and GPRS as a Modem. Now it was time for a change. I bought a new mobile which supports 3G (Nokia 5800 Xpress Music).
I used the Bluetooth Wizard and told him to use all possible bluetooth functions of my device. I looked in the internet for the right configuration (APN, CID,...) and choosed to use the Nokia GPRS/3G Modem script which is preinstalled in Mac OS X (I also tried another one from www.taniwha.org.uk, it didn't work either).
The very strange thing is, the first connection worked without any problem, but after disconnecting and reconnecting it didn't work anymore. Instead I've got a message that the RFCOMM-Channel can't be opened.
I tried to fix the problem myself by searching wrong settings in some plists, but although I restored the original settings after recognizing that my changes didn't work, I've got a new problem.
Now the status symbol of the bluetooth modem always shows up that no modem configuration could be found, although I can still try to connect via Network -> Bluetooth. Of course it doesn't work this way too.
Sometimes the bluetooth modem works once after a reboot ( not after every reboot ). But only once!
File Transfer always works! The Nokia Multimedia Transfer also always works.
I definitely need advice of some of you, experts.

sorry, but the problem isn't solved yet. I tried different things but nothing helped:
I backuped and deleted the following Files:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/Preferences.plist
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
/Users/benutzername/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.BluetoothHASH.plist
But it didn't help. In fact it made things worse. Therefore I restored the backuped files.
I deleted all bluetooth devices and installed just my new phone a bunch of times. - No change at all.
I used FSEventer to control the Filesystem Access. That leaded me only to the files mentioned above.
In the log-file:
/private/var/log/ppp.log
is the following error message logged:
Failed to open /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem: Resource busy
Up until now, I don't understand why this resource is busy.
I figured out, that the modem works using a USB-connection. That isn't a satisfying solution but it works for now.
Nevertheless I am still really interested in resolving the Bluetooth problem.

How to clear a cursor list without clearing the first row??

Hi all, good to see ya ...
I'm having this problem , that i'm using the first row ín a cursor list as a cursor in another graph. The rest of the rows are used as test sets i can add. So when finnish with the tests if some was set, i have to delete or clear the cursorlist(but only the tests and not the first wich is the pointcursor) byy using the graphs cursor list proberty node ' Crsr.List ' and initialising it as showed in picture 1.
Picture 2 shows the cursor list with some test and the cursor name (point cursor) and properties at top. These properties are directly copied to another graph cursor list also at the top and there the point cursor is used as the cursor. The tests are also copied to the other graph cursor list, but when deleting the tests by 'clear button' all data are cleared also the point cursor. That is my problem.
so the question is, how can i clear a cursor list without clearing the first raw and its proberties. any suggestions would be much help for me.

The cursor list is just an array so you can delete the elements that you don't want.

How to include the first row of detail in every xquery transformed xml?

I am dealing with a XML file,where i need to publish to different BS.
First node will be a common node node which contains vital info,second node goes to one BS and third goes to another BS.
*<header></header>*
*<details></details> (they are unbounded, but the first detail tag which comes in the input file is a mandatory tag in such a way that it needs to be included in every transformed message)*
*<trailer></trailer>*
We need to apply x query transformation on it in such a way:
*</header></header>*
*<1st detail></1st detail>*
*<detail></detail> (2nd row of detail in input file)* -------------------------> Goes to BS1
*<trailer></trailer>..*
*<header></header>*
*<1st detail></1st detail>*
*<detail></detail> (3rd row of detail in input file)* ----------------------------->Goes to BS2
*<trailer></trailer>*..
And so on.
Now, the problem is how to include the first row( *1st detail* ) of detail in every xquery transformed xml?

are you looping of this input with a for each?
/yourdata/details[1] should return always the first detail element.
or before the for each do an assing of this first detail element to "generic_details_var"
and use this var in every looping iteration (in an assign or as input for xquery)

My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management

I have recently purchased a Mac computer (updated to Maverick) to go with my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer which has given excellent service with my old Windows computer. However, when trying to print pictures or photos via Photoshop Elements 11, the best results I can get are using the Colour Management and Epson Colour controls in the printing options box.
My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management, The only way I can reset the controls is to shut down the printer and computer and restart.
Could there may be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust please? I have been in touch with Epson and they say that the Epson Colour controls are part of the Photoshop Elements software but a post on the Adobe forum brought no results and I am unable to contact Adobe.

Hello Garry. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have used a different title from "How do I post a question?" That should come after trying to resolved the colour settings first. However, to answer your question, after experimenting with all the different settings in Photoshop Elements and Epson software, I now start with PSE11 Colour settings then click "no colour management" then after clicking Print, I choose "More Options/Colour Management/Colour Handling/Printer Manages Colour" then I choose "Page Setup/Layout/Colour Matching" which then shows Epson Colour Controls but I also choose "Layout/Colour Management" which then shows "Colour Controls/Mode" I then of course choose an Epson printer profile depending on the paper I am using. I get good results but as I said, the Colour Matching and Colour Controls are then greyed out. Hope that makes sense.

Scroll all the rows in a table except the first row

I have an HTML table
for eg...

it gives me a nice table with a vertical scroll bar. What I want is my first row should not scroll. The scroll bar should be applicable from rows 2-100. I am not able to use this <div> tag exclusively to <tr>. Any inputs as to how this can be achieved.

The whole problem is I lose the table alignment. if I have a table like

If I have a <div > tag or a new table for row "2-99"..the alignment is gone. "value1", value2 and value3 dont fall exactly under "heading1" "heading2" and heading3 respectively. I hope I made my point.

This will not be easy. i see two possible solutions.
You could use a custom itemRenderer. This will require that
you find some way to identify the dataProvider collection index
from within the renderer, and set the renderer to editable when
that index is 0.
Or you could create a composite component using two
dataGrids, one with a single row for the editable columns. There
are examples available on combining two DGs this way.
Again, this will be difficult, so be sure that it is
absolutely required and consider some other UI approach if posible.

JTable doesn't have an addRow() method. Add add data to the TableModel not the table.
The DefaultTableModel has addRow() and insertRow() methods.

How do I create a 1d array that takes a single calculation and insert the result into the first row and then the next calculation the next time the loop passes that point and puts the results in thsecond row and so on until the loop is exited.

The attached file is work inprogress, with some dummy data sp that I can test it out without having to connect to equipment.
The second tab is the one that I am having the problem with. the output array from the replace element appears to be starting at the index position of 1 rather than 0 but that is ok it is still show that the new data is placed in incrementing element locations. However the main array that I am trying to build that is suppose to take each new calculation and place it in the next index(row) does not ap
pear to be working or at least I am not getting any indication on the inidcator.
Basically what I am attempting to do is is gather some pulses from adevice for a minute, place the results for a calculation, so that it displays then do the same again the next minute, but put these result in the next row and so on until the specifiied time has expired and the loop exits. I need to have all results displayed and keep building the array(display until, the end of the test)Eventually I will have to include a min max section that displays the min and max values calculated, but that should be easy with the min max function.Actually I thought this should have been easy but, I gues I can not see the forest through the trees. I didn't really have time to dig in and understand your program in depth,
but I have a few tips for you that might things a bit easier:
- You use local variables excessively which really complicates things. Try
not to use them and it will make your life easier.
- If you flowchart the design (very similar to a dataflow diagram, keep in
mind!) you want to gather data, calculate a value from that data, store the
calculation in an array, and loop while the time is in a certain range. So
theres really not much need for a sequence as long as you get rid of the
local variables (sequences also complicate things)
- You loop again if timepassed+1 is still less than some constant. Rather
than messing with locals it seems so much easier to use a shiftregister (if
absolutely necessary) or in this case base it upon the number of iterations
of the loop. In this case it looks like "time passed" is the same thing as
the number of loop iterations, but I didn't check closely. There's an i
terminal in your whileloop to read for the number of iterations.
- After having simplified your design by eliminating unnecessary sequence
and local variables, you should be able to draw out the labview diagram.
Don't try to use the "insert into array" vis since theres no need. Each
iteration of your loop calculates a number which goes into the next position
of the array right? Pass your result outside the loop, and enable indexing
on the terminal so Labview automatically generates the array for you. If
your calculation is a function of previous data, then use a shift register
to keep previous values around.
I wish you luck. Post again if you have any questions. Without a more
detailed understanding of your task at hand it's kind of hard to post actual
code suggestions for you.

Grand total level of the percentage column giving value from the first row of column

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement like to show the percentage value which the calculation of two columns , in the grand total level .
I think it can be achievaable by giving the aggregation rule for that column as Server complex Aggregate .
eg.
Fiscal Year Department subdepartment   Total cost     Sub Department cost     % cost
2011           Edu             Books                 500              50                               10
2011           Edu             Note Book           200            100                                50
2011           Edu             Furniture             300             30                                 10
2011            Edu                                      1000           180                              18
Grand Total
Ideally it should come like as above ..but the problem with me that ,it showing correct value for all the rows ,but at the grand total level it's taking the value of % cost from the first row . like below..

Aggregation rule for the columns given are

Returns to the first row executing a rollback action in ADF BC

I have the next problem:
1.- There is a list of rows taken form a View Object that shows 10 rows per page.
2.- I can navigate into the list, with first, previous, next and last buttons.
3.- Each row has an Edit button. If you press it, a new page is opened to modify the row.
4.- This new page has 2 buttons: Save and Return.
... 4.1.- Save has associated an Action forward = Commit, and returns to the list correctly with the edited row selected.
... 4.2.- Return has associated an Action forward = Rollback, and returns to the list, but always returns to the first row of the first page in the list.
I have followed the steps indicated in Steve Muench's document [JDeveloper and the art of the rollback|http://one-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com/2007/02/jdeveloper-and-art-of-rollback.html], but the problem is still there.
Could anyone help me, please?

Lock the first row in an ordered table

Hi,
I have a table (TD_EVENTOS). I want to lock the row with te minimun value of a column (a timestamp called hora_evento) and some requirements of other columns. Then i build a cursor like this:
CURSOR c is select * from td_eventos where (...) order by hora_evento for update skip locked;
And then I make a fetch into this cursor and I get the row (locked) that I want. But i need the speedest way, and making that cursor it orders all rown in the table (when I only want the first row without lock) and when that table has 6000 or 7000 rows it wastes around 130 ms. My solution is to add to the WHERE a AND rownum < 50, and it only orders 50 rows (in 10 ms), but it orders 50 aleatory rows, and that`s not what I want.
Any solution faster?

Sorry that wasn't clear of me and could be misleading. I didn't mean Oracle would have to do a full table scan, another access path such as an appropriate index scan would do. I was trying to get across that to do any kind of order or min or max, all records have to be investigated. Since the fact that you don't know a row is locked until you try to lock it, you clearly can't filter on it (it's not a data attribute).
Apologies for any confusion my earlier post might have caused.
The suggestion about using a sorted hash cluster still stands though, they are designed for FIFO queues.
Which reminds me - SKIP LOCKED is in fact undocumented but everybody knows that Oracle use it internally for doing AQ. Since it's undocumented, you don't know how it works, when it will work, when it won't and of course Oracle can turn around and say "we don't support this".

How can I get Numbers to return the first row in a group of VLOOKUP query results instead of last one?

I'm trying to query from one table (call it Table1) a batch of rows in another table (Table2) using VLOOKUP on a date specified in the first table (Table1). My problem is it's returning the last incident in Table2 of the requested date instead of the first incident. This really breaks the OFFSET scheme I'd like to use to collect the rest of the items for that date. Is there some way to compel VLOOKUP to return the first row of query results, not the last?
NOTE: I see I've asked this before, but forgot to go back and look at responses given. It's been a while and I've limped along until now with the way things were. I'm actually trying to delete this questions, so if you see it, ignore it. I suppose if someone can tell me real quick how to delete a stupid question, that might be helpful.

i have an report with a few columns an i sumerized them by clicking on the sum checkbox. My report result into data with a nice sum row at the bottom of the report.
The question is, is it possible to get this summary line to the beginning of the report as the first row of the report ?
