  • Bluetooth quit working

I have a iPhone 5 ios 6.1.4. and the bluetooth quit working last night. I tried to pair to my Bose Soundlink without success. I had been pair and it was working great 2 hours before. I noticed the discovery just searches without discoverying anything. I have other bluetooth devices active and the phone does not see anything. My iPhone 4s sees the Bose and links fine so it is not the Bose. I reset the network under settings>general>reset...no help. Any other ideas before i go to the genus bar to have them reimage ios 6.1.4?

fixed...i think:) Reset network again and reset Bose by holding down the mute for 10 seconds. Now iPhone can connect to Bose but it still does not set other devices that my iPhone 4s sees. At least the Bose is working:)

I updated to Windows 8.1 and my touchscreen quit working.  I have avoided all updates on Toshiba,  but have just installed 7 of them including bios update hoping to fix the problem.  No help!  Still no touch screen.   Went to help forum...told to uninstall the human interface device drives on my laptop and reload them.  Did that to NO avail..still doesn't work!   HELP!  Was hoping Windows 10 would auto fix but I truly doubt it!!!   Can anyone help me please?

  • Bluetooth stops working in OS X after restarting from Boot Camp

I just recently installed XP SP3 as a part of Boot Camp on my iMac, which has worked great. Unfortunately, when I boot back into OS X, my bluetooth icon shows up as "Bluetooth: Not Available." I am able to get the bluetooth back by turning off my iMac, unplug everything, and then start it back after waiting a short period of time. So that's the good news, that I can get my bluetooth back, but this happens every time I use Boot Camp. Again, Boot Camp works just fine, bluetooth and everything. But I lose bluetooth when I go back to OS X.
Has anybody else seen this? Any solution(s) to keep me from losing my bluetooth every time coming out of XP in Boot Camp back to OS X? I would appreciate any help...

On this forum lately: JASimon, Oz, sez: " ... There is a bug with ColorSync profiles and Fast User Switching whereby *you can end up with the Generic RGB profile* instead of the appropriate LCD monitor profile after you switch users. You can read a little about it here along with a number of suggested solutions. This leads to a generally washed out and slightly bluish look to your screen (although I imagine it could be purplish depending on your screen).
It doesn't sound like you are using Fast User Switching, but it might be worth checking the Displays control panel when this problem occurs and have a look under the Color tab to see which monitor profile is being used...."

Ivan links to this (a bit dated now, but interesting)

All found by entering "color switch" into this forum's "Search Discussions" pane at top right of any page here ... I had just read these through the other day, which helped me; when searching, it helps to know it is there: so when it becomes visible one actually sees it, instead of looking past, or through, it?

  • Bluetooth not working with my car after 2.02 upgrade

3G iPhone was working well with the bluetooth in my car (and my wife's car) for past month but I recently returned the phone for a replacement which I upgraded to 2.02 and now it won't work without a manual set-up each time. Called Apple and they said it's a known problem but didn't know of a workaround. Thought others might like to know this before spending the hour I did today trying to fix.

There are a couple of workarounds out there you could give a try. For some phones / users it seems to work, for others like me none solved the problem.
    1. Do a backup
    2. unpair all your BT connections from the phone and in the car. (You've done that already, right?)
    3. Reset your network settings (you'll loose your saved wifi networks and the keys and have to connect them from scratch afterwards) (Test it again, if not ...)
    4. Disconnect from iCloud and delete data from iPhone (test if it works now, you can connect to iCloud afterwards again and sync your data and settings)(don't know if you possibly loose data, cause i don't store important stuff on iCloud)
These are just a couple of workarounds that are suggested in various forums / newspapers. But none of them helped me to solve the problem permanently.

  • Ios 7-bluetooth quit working in my car

I just downloaded ios7 to my Iphone 4 and now my factory installed bluetooth in my 2013 Car is not being recognized.  What's the fix?

I'm having the same exact problem connecting my iPhone 6 Plus AND my iPad Air 2 to my Windows 7 PC ever since installing iOS 8.2. I am getting the same thing with the wheel by "Other devices" spinning continuously. I even get a pairing code from the PC, but I get a message on both the iPad and iPhone that they can't connect. Both devices can connect to a Bluetooth speaker and my iPhone is able to connect to my car, a Honda CR-V.

  • Bluetooth not working on original iphone after 2.1 update

Just updated my original iphone to 2.1 and all my pairings for bluetooth are gone. Also when I attempt to re-pair the bluetooth section just displays a spinning circle and refuses to recognize any of my bluetooth devices.

    Hi jopiii,
Try Resetting Network Settings on the iPhone, go to Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings.
Then make the bluetooth headset discoverable and pair it to the iPhone as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1664

  • My speakers on my macbook receiently quit working after I had been using some headphones. My headphones still work whenever I plug them in with both increase and decrease in volume. I have also noticed a red light on the inside of the headphone jack.

My speakers on my macbook pro quit working the other day after using my headphones. when I try to adjust the speakers my screen indicator sayes that it is at full volume on the bar but also muted(circle with line through it). I also noticed a red light inside my headphone jack. My headphones still work including volume. Any quick fix?

Hopefully one of these steps should solve the problem.
    1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
Make sure Mute is not enabled.
    2. Remove the headphone.
If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
    3. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
    4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the method for:

  • HT4623 Wi-fi quit working after i updated the iphone. What should i do?

Wi-fi quit working on iphone 4s after os update. What should i do?

It would seem the printer has lost the network information since it is flashing and power cycling the printer did not work.
This means it needs to be treated as a new installation to get it back on the network since it is a USB to wireless setup.
This will require a computer on the same wireless network and a USB cable to send the network information to the printer.
Uninstall the printer completely from the system.
    1.  Install the printer again and choose Network when prompted for the setup type.
    2.  Connect the USB cable when prompted.
    3.  Follow all the prompts during the installation and disconnect the USB cable when prompted.
At this point, it should be back on the network.
The newest software can be found by clicking on Support & Drivers at the top of this page and entering your printer's model for software and driver downloads.

  • Bluetooth not working win8.1 GT70

HI! I have a MSI GT70 with Win8.1, I upgraded from the windows store or however it´s called and now I´ve lost bluetooth. I don´t know if anyone is having this problem but there´s a lot of people with this issue in laptops from other brands. It´s not about MSI it has to be down to WIN or Qualcomm. I´ve upgraded drivers and everything possible from the MSI webpage.
After installing bluetooth did work but some days after it did again disconnect. Bluetooth doesn´t show up in device manager until you press "show hidden devices" and no properties are shown.
I would apreciate very much your help!

This happens after you upgraded to Windows 8.1 system from Windows 8?
Have you installed any Windows update after you update drivers?
Does the bluetooth status light light up when disconnecting problem occurs?
Also, have you try to turn on the bluetooth using SCM control panel? Does the device manager still can't see bluetooth device even when the function is switched on?
    UPDATE:
btw, which GT70 model are you having?

  • Stylus quit working?!

I have an ipad 2 with a screenprotector and a dagi stylus.  Everything was working beautifully.  Suddenly my dagi stylus just quit working...Right after last update.  Anyone know a salution to this?

Read some of the amazon reviews regarding the Dagi. If I'm right about the problem, you aren't the only one experiencing it.
I don't have the Dagi, but I have the more recent competitor, the Adonit Jot Pro, and I'm already getting intermittent response issues after using it for 3 weeks. I have replacement discs on the way, but if those wear out just as quickly, I'm probably gonna call it quits on the precision stylus market and stick with my PenGo.
One interesting thing I read on ThinkGeek, which also sells the adonit JotPro, was from a reviewer who used ThinkGeek's wire glue to make his JotPro more responsive. The wire glue is just a conductive paste material (an alternative to solder), and the reviewer dabbed a small amount between the JotPro tip and the disc. Haven't tried this myself, but I plan to. It seems reasonable that malleable conductive material would be less prone to abrasions, but I need to look into whether I can do it without welding the stylus tip to the disc (i like the pivoting function).

  • Bluetooth Remote Control Quit Working

I have a new 8350i and downloaded the new 5.0.0.807 (?) version software. For some reason, after doing this, the ability of my Plantronics Voyager 815 headset to perform remote controls (answer, hang up, volume, etc) has quit working. Has anyone else had this happen to them? What can I do to correct this? Thanks in advance!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I thought I'd lost my mind with this phone.  I too updated my phone with the latest software and now I am having all kinds of bluetooth problems, I have the problem with the remote controls on my headset not working.  I have a problem where if I put the phone in the case while talking to someone it hangs up even though I have it set to NEVER do that.  The phone also is having major pairing issues with the two cars hands free radios I have, once the phone is paired to the radio, I can no longer listen to the car radio, I have to drive in silence, so I go back to the headset, which I cannot answer calls or hang up calls with.  I have pulled the battery, but that is only a temporary fix, it starts misbehaving within a day or two, tops.
I used to love this phone, now I am nothing but frustrated with it.
If anyone hears of a solution that works for more than a day, please post what you did.
    Thank You
