Bluetooth sharing/streaming to tv

I have a samsung tablet that allows me to stream through bluetooth from it to my panasonic viera smart tv which is supported by bluetooth with video display.  I'm wondering if I can use the bluetooth on my macbook to do the same thing.  Is there a way to stream from my macbook to my tv using bluetooth without needing apple tv?  I cannot send the file to my tv using the bluetooth because it has no storage, but I think there should be a way to stream it as well?

You can use one of these:

To connect your iPad to a TV with HDMI input without needing an Apple TV
It won't be wireless though.

  • Shared Stream not showing all shared photos on all devices

So, we have setup a shared stream in Photos to share family moments.  The main issue we are experiencing is that on my iPhone I am not able to see contributions from one family member, but on my iPad they show up.  Both are iOS 7, and have been through all the troubleshooting steps though have not done the "turn off sharing, and delte all photos" step.  Any ideas on why or how that would be happeing?  Thanks!

You can apparently force ios6 devices to receive the subscriber contributed photos by turning off shared photo streaming and turning it back on again. It is under General Troubleshooting in the following link:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4379
A similar workaround did not work with iPhoto 11.
To get around this, I've been re-sharing the subscriber contributed content and deleting the original from the stream. They show up, but not a very elegant solution.

  • How to download 'all photos at a time' from shared stream?

I have a photo stream shared album (with 120 pictures) on icloud.  This is shared from iPhone.  I opened the link on my mac/windows in the browser.  Now, how to download 'all photos at a time' from shared stream?  I don't want to download each photo at a time.  There are 100s of photos to download.  I can't open one photo at a time and keep downloading them separately.  There should be a way to download all photos from a shared stream.  Please let me know how you are dealing with this?

  • How to view shared streams in 3.6 and yosemite

So I've upgraded to Yosemite and running 3.6 but now I can't see my shared streams??
Photo sharing is ticked in preferences...
    Any ideas???

Shared streams are working for me with Yosemite.
Photo sharing is ticked in preferences...
You are using the same AppleID for iCloud as before?
And you have enabled Photo Sharing in the System Preferences > iCloud >Advanced  panel as well as in Aperture's Preferences > iCloud  Sharing?
If it s enabled everywhere, try to rest the stream by signing out of the Photo stream in system Preferences, restarting the Mac, and signing in again.

  • Add photos to shared stream

    Hi all.
Hope my English be comprehensible :-)
Yesterday evening at home I created a shared photo stream from within iPhoto on my Mac Book Pro (Mountain Lion, iPhoto & Aperture all with last updates).
I added two shots and shared them with one of my collegues adding her Apple ID. This morning she showed me the shared photos on her iPhone, as expected.
Now she can add a comment (this is ok) but she cannot add a photo to that stream: this is not a serious problem, but I wondered if it is possible to grant her some additional permission.
I looked in Apple documentation and found 3 links with different answer to my question.
    Look here:
    from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5902?viewlocale=en_US
Can my friends and family add photos or videos to a shared stream that I created?
Yes, if you allow it.  When editing your photo stream to add or remove subscribers, you can turn on the option to allow subscribers to  add to your shared stream. Subscribers can contribute photos and videos to your shared stream if they have  an iCloud account and a compatible device with up-to-date software.
    But look here:
    from http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11957
Note:   You can add photos only to photo streams you create. You cannot add photos to shared photo streams you subscribe to.
    and here:
    from http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11964
Note:   You can add photos only to photo streams you create. You cannot add photos to shared photo streams you subscribe to.
May be I'm missing some detail or misunderstand contents.
Now I'm at work, so cannot access my MBP, anyway I do not remember to have seen such an option when adding subscribers ...
How does it really work ?
    Many thanks !

    Update...
It seems something related to Os version.
A friend of my with iO7 on IPad told me he can add an Apple ID to a shared stream created by himself and let subscribers post on it, while on iPhone with iOS6 is not possible. After upgrade to iOS7 on iPhone the option appeared; anyway, I still cannot post on that stream from my MBP
Waiting for OSX Mavericks to try again...

  • My Ipad's photo program freezes while trying to add a picture to a shared stream.

My Ipad's photo program freezes while trying to add a picture to a shared stream.
I click into the photo click the box with the arrow and once I click "iCloud" nothing happens. I have to force quit the app to regain control. The photo does not add. I tried this with my iphone (both io ios 7) and the phone works fine.

  • My Photo Stream not going to my computer -but shared streams do.

I think this started when I updated to the newest version of iCloud panel for windows -version 4.0.2- because I had pictures from less than 2 weeks ago in the stream folder on my computer before I did the update.  What I'm seeing is, on my computer (windows 8.1) I have all the photo streams with pictures that have been shared with me, including one I created today to test it out.  Nothing is in the 'My Photo Stream" folder.  The folder exists, it's just empty.
    empty on my computer-
    on my phone:
Here is what I have tried-
Signed in and out of iCloud panel on my computer and restarted computer
Turned on and off Photos in the iCloud panel and restarted computer
Turned on and off My Photo Stream in settings and rebooted the phone
Photo Stream has been spotty at best for the last year or more- but was working not that long ago.
I realize that a 'work around' would be to create a shared stream with myself and copy the pictures I want to get to my computer into it.  However, I shouldn't have to.  It is supposed to work automatically...
I don't see any answers to this anywhere, so if someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!  Thank you!

  • Videos Not Playing in 'Shared Streams'

    Hi All,
I've noticed that a lot of users seem to be having the same issue with viewing videos in the 'Shared Streams'. I am also having this issue, as is my partner with a different Apple ID.
After sharing a video, the other user will get a nofitication to say that I've added a video to a particular shared stream. A preview image of the video, along with the play button in the middle will appear. However the video will not play. All you get is the spinning circle in the middle. Its the same when somebody shares a video with me too. I cannot view the video.
I raised this issue with Apple a few days ago. After trying all of their support tips, I'm still having the same problem. I'm still waiting for Apple to get back to me on this one. As soon as they have, I will let you guys know too.
As well as affecting my iPhone 4S, it affects my iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPad 3. To me, this is clearly a software issue.
    Cheers,

  • Icloud photostream - when I remove a device from my own shared stream..

What happens if I remove my Ipad from a photostream I created and shared with other people?
I'm trying to understand how the icloud & shared streams work.
I created a photostream and I have several devices which are connected to the stream.
But what if I remove the photostream from a device? (click the 'x' in photos app/edit)
and what if I delete an image on my iphone from the photostream.. will it be deleted on all devices?
Who owns & controls the photostream? And where DO I control it?
Maybe I only want half of the photostream on 1 device and a few on another..
and what if another subscriber with posting rights delete an image?
Hope I'm not spamming with questions :-)

    anyone?

  • Titles did not go with Photos to Shared Stream

I created new titles for my photos in an iPhoto album, but the titles did not go to the shared stream with the photos. Why? How do you create new titles that will go with the photo?

The should upload as long as your camera app is closed, you are connected to wi-fi and your phone has at least 20% battery life remaining.  Is it possible that these conditions have not yet been met since these photos were taken?

  • Does a photo Shared Stream I set up reside only in my iCloud?

Or if someone accepts my share offer, does a copy of the stream appear and remain in her iCloud?
Generally speaking, where do Shared Streams live?

So the streams don't live on Apple's iCloud account, nor on individual devices. Are they ghosts?
Begs the question. Every digital photo must occupy space somewhere. Some are on my Camera Roll, which uses up the 32 gigs on my iPhone. The question has nothing to do with permissions, deletion of pictures or sharers, the question is, simply, where do the shared photo streams rest?
I have a suggestion in the notice one user has accepted sharing of my stream. The note is headed "iCloud" and there's a brief explanation of the iCloud service at he end of the note.
I suspect that is the short answer.

  • Sharing videos with Shared Stream ?

    Hello,
My friend shot some videos and photos last night, using an iPhone 5C ( iOS7 ) He created a Shared Stream using the Photo App. and sent it to me and a few others people. I can view the album fine, both pictures and videos.
The problem is, I want to share this album with some of my contacts, I can share the pictures, but I can not share the videos. All I get is a still screen shot of the videos.
I have tried connecting my phone to my computer and see if I could import the videos, but I can not seem to do that, I through I would be able to access the video's on my computer from the iCloud web site, but the photo app is not there, I even opened iPhoto thinking maybe there was a way from there to import them. I have also tried to save the videos from the stream to my phone but there does not seem to be away to do that?
The only way I can think of is to have my friend send me the video, via iMessages.
Any ideas how I can do this ?
        Thanks
         John

"We’ve got lots to come, as well. Up next, we’ll add even more collaboration features, including the ability to share privately with workgroups as well as browse and restore previous versions of files."
When sharing privately becomes available then it will be possible to share video.

  • I can't find list of subscribers on my shared photostream. I did follow the directions. After I clicked edit in my shared stream, there was no add people or subscriber option

I can't find list of subscribers on my shared photostream. I did follow the directions. After I clicked edit in my shared stream, there was no add people or subscriber option. There was nothing but the photos. I just wanted to invite more people to subscribe.

Is there a "New" button at the top right of the Playlists section of Music?
There is no Edit button to delete music, swipe sideways on the song to reveal the delete button. Tap and hold on the artwork in Artists and albums to reveal the (X) button to delete. Or connect the iPad back up to iTunes on the computer and check your sync settings for music to ensure you are syncing the right content.

  • Are all streams ( My photostream AND shared streams) backed up by icloud ?

I have been suggested to use Shared streams ( to myself), so that iCloud makes backups of these.
    - with this "trick" by making a Shared Stream also for each album, iCloud should include in the backupthe
contents of the Shared Streams plus My Photostream.
Is this an acceptable backupstrategy, in addition to importing all Shots, from time- to-time into iPhoto ?

    Hi,
1/It seems you only have perceived one aspect, which is clear anyway - Yes, I am aware, My Photostream stores only for 30 days, and is limited to 1000 pics
    - Streams are limited to 1000 streams, and I guess unlimited pica ( or also 10000 pics ?)
2/ my Main point was to ask if SHARED streams can be inclzded in the iCloud - Backup cycles !:
    a)  in general, if they are backed up by iCloud ( my perception was yes, based on another discussion
    exchange some days ago).
    b) when that is the case-  my derived Q is, if mulitple shared streams are configured, basically containing the very same pics as the individual Albums - that way, if the Shared Streams are to be sent to myself (!)- they would undergo backup
    - According to a previous response here, and our point 1), would iCloud then backup ALSO all shared streams, that way
each Album  would have backup of irself, in the form of a Shared Stream
    - Clearly Photostream itself will have backup, but will vary, dependent on which imgs are represented there.
    3/ Backing up pictures into iPhoto or Aperture is a different topic;
    - so and later by a specific b/u engine & mechanism   ( Time Capsule or NAS device ) results in a backup- chain..
4/ How are YOU backing up your photos from an iOs device ?
    Kind thanks in advance. hs

How do i get bluetooth sharing setup pop up menu

    Hello HIXSONATOR
If you are trying to send a file to a Bluetooth device, then follow the steps in the article below. Look for the Bluetooth File Exchange application in Utilities folder inside the Applications folder and all you have to do is drag a file on top of that application and it will ask what device you want to send it to.
