Bluetooth Stereo Headset

I'm upset that Apple has not allowed music to stream across bluetooth on the iPhone. It seems that they are trying to control all avenues of access on the iPhone. Why would they not want us to be comfortable when using their product by not having wires hanging all over the place? Does anyone have some inside info or their own insight?

I'm saying that I would have no more insight into why Apple hasn't included stereo Bluetooth on the iPhone than you would. Speculation is prohibited by the Terms of Use you agreed to when you joined the forum.
If you're unhappy that the stereo Bluetooth isn't included you can leave feedback at the link I posted. Apple doesn't read these forums; if you want your voice heard, post there.
Hope this helps.

  • Can you use the mic of a bluetooth stereo headset on an iPod touch 2G w/ fi

    Hi guys.
I have a Dell bluetooth stereo headset with mic incorporated.
I want to use this to have conversations with my iPod touch, using voip software.
Can this be done? I'm asking because when I pair the headset with my iPod, the new voice notes app says I don't have any mic.
In case it can't be done, can I use my headset with an added mic, connected to the audio plug in in the touch? I referring to something like this:

  • Bluetooth stereo headsets for E61i?

As E61i does not support A2DP there are no Nokia bluetooth stereo headsets available. But are they totally incompatible or just working mono then? Asking because my notebook supports A2DP and I just need ONE headset for both...

    Hi,
I think that the adapters are the same. You just need to check that both support stereo sound and look about the same.
And of course, you can always go to a shop and test them. (Which is probably best in any case, since what might be the best for someone might not be best for everyone else.)

  • MBA support bluetooth stereo headset?

Has anyone tried and used a bluetooth stereo headset with the MBA? Does it even support it?

I just read the technical support that you reply to my question and I thank you a lot!!!
But I saw that my bluetooth stereo headset must be A2DP compatible to play and it is!!!!
    *Bluetooth Stereo Headset SBH650*
    *Technical Details*
    - Weight: 17 g
    - Size: 57 x 29 x 8,5 mm
    - Talk/Listen Music: up to 8,5 hours
    - Stand by: up to 170 hours
    - Bluetooth Version: 2.0
    - Headset-Jack: 3,5mm
    - *Compatible to all mobile phones that support Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (Bluetooth A2DP)*
So I don't understand why there is a problem... I have tested my best's friend Stereo Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-DS980 (Sony Ericsson) that has too A2DP support and worked perfectly!!!
Can this be because the Samsung Accessory is a brand new product and not supported from the iPhone firmware?...
    Thank you for your time!

  • No Sound Bluetooth Stereo Headset  - MB Pro running Win XP SP3 via Bootcamp

I have a MacBook Pro Running Windows XP SP3 via Boot camp and I recently purchased a Rocketfish Bluetooth Stereo Headset. I am able to Pair the Headset to the MacBook Pro but I am unable to hear anything playing through them. I have checked to make sure that the volume is turned up. I think the problem might be driver related but, according to the Rocketfish support there isn't a specific driver for the headset. I'm not sure how to get the headset working. One other thing to note is that the headset works perfectly with my Iphone 4.
    I guess my questions are...
How do I find an updated driver for the built in bluetooth on the MacBook Pro?
Does anyone know how to fix the problem that I am having?

So, finally I found what worked for me: Re: Full Bluetooth functionality in Bootcamp (audio, A2DP, FTP, OBEX) third variant, none of first 2 worked.. The only trouble was to find the correct link since on Acer site there is no download link. I've googled for "Bluetooth_Atheros_7.4.0.96_W7x64_A.zip" since this is the archive the guy is actually talking about. The 4th link on google was http://www.laptop-software.com/Acerdriversdownload.php?GDFiles/Driver/Bluetooth/ Bluetooth_Atheros_7.4.0.96_W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634556349384706773&Step1=Notebook& Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire%204830Z&OS=721&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=PA_6 and I chose to downlad from the first download link. Then the steps are:
    1) unzip the folder
    2) don't look for x64 or x32, there is only a one installer called "Bluetooth_Suite_win7"
    3) install Bluetooth_Suite_win7
    4) after it installs Windows starts downloading and recognizing drivers, I don't know how it actually works, but it also downloaded and recognized the unrecognized before drivers for my Bluetooth headset.
    5) Restart Windows
    6) Turn on headphones - they connect automatically, everything works and works great, the quality of sound is exactly the same as it was on Mac OS, nothing that would bother me.
****, it took me 2 full days... finally...

  • Does the E52 work with Bluetooth stereo headset?

The device details at forum.nokia.com don't list BluetoothStereoAudio as a property of the E52 (it does for 5630).
    Can anybody confirm this?

if nokia specification says it has A2DP and AVRCP, then it is compliant with Bluetooth Stereo no doubt about it...  bluetooth stereo is now a very common capability in many N and E series devices...
The specification does say that it has A2DP and AVRCP. The question here is, if it will work properly. I have experienced problems with a Motorola S9 and N73, S9 and N85, S9 and N95-8GB. The pairing will be perfect, but music breaks and call volume is very low compared to the same S9 when paired with a MotoROKR. In theory, all these phones support A2DP & AVRCP. But still there is an interoperability issue.

  • Bluetooth Stereo Headsets for MacBook Pro.

Hi guys, months ago I purchased a Jabra bluetooth headset (Jabra BT135). It works for Skype and iChat but not exactly up to my expectations. Later on I learned that some mobile phones can stream wirelessly music to bluetooth headsets. The new technology that allows that is called (at least by Sony Ericsson) A2DP. My mobile (SE W810i) doesn't have that feature but it's okay, I don't think I need that, especially if it's my plan to upgrade to an iPhone asap.
The question is (excuse me if I took too long), are the current MBP able to transmit "high quality stereo music" just like those mobiles are? I just got my MBP, I'd hate to think that it's behind in that sense.
I was thinking of a headset such as the model DR-BT30Q from Sony because it has a microphone built-in.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Please help! t61p: bluetooth stereo headset sound coming from only one side?!!

Just bought a X5i stereo bluetooth headset (A2DP protocol) from BlueAnt and paired it with T61P.  The laptop recognized it and it connected to it.  When i started playing audio though, the sound is coming only from one side of the headset.  Do I need to update the bluetooth drivers for lenovo??  What do i need to do?  Please help!

    Hi Ledbroke,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion dv2700 Notebook and having sound issues when headphones attached. Here is a document on troubleshooting audio problems with external speakers, headphones, and HDMI sound devices. Under the two quick test section it shows you how to troubleshoot headphones.
    Hope this helps.

  • Bluetooth stereo headsets - any out there better than S9-HD, 9xxbackbeat

and jaybird? I have owned all three brands in the last month trying to find the best pair possible (thanks to best buys return policy) however, I'm looking for something a little more high end. I can not find any other ones that are higher priced or appear to be better than these "big three" at the moment.
can anyone give me some input of more stereo Bluetooth headsets?
    any help is appriciated, thanks

I just got my S9-HD with the D650. I followed the directions from Motorola to set up the D650 for iPod.
Turn off Bluetooth on the iPhone.
    Plug in the D650.
Put the phone in iPod mode, start a song and press PAUSE.
Then turn on the S9-HD power to put it in search mode.
Let the D650 find the headset and pair it. The light starts flashing slowly when it's paired.
Then, unplug the D650, turn off iPod mode, and go to Settings on the iPhone and turn Bluetooth on.
Restart the S9 headset back in search mode until the iPhone finds it an pairs.
Now, the phone headset works fine. When you plug the D650 in and listen to the iPod (works fine). But when you try to go to the phone mode while the D650 is plugged in, it won't stay in the phone mode. It just pops up and shuts right back down. So it doesn't appear that the phone headset will interrupt the music and allow you to use the phone as long as the D650 is plugged in.
    Any help?

  • Pairing bluetooth stereo headset

My JayBird JF3 Freedom stereo headphones won't pair with my MBP (but work fine with my iPhone & iPad). With the JF3's in "discoverable" mode and running the BT "Set Up New Device" wizard, my MBP searches endlessly (also seeing iOS devices w/o problem) but never sees the device. After searching related threads, it's apparently a fairly common problem. Unfortunately, the threads seemed to indicate the devices were at least able to see each other but, only when selected, wouldn't successfully pair. Since my device doesn't come up listed, I'm unable to attempt the suggested solutions from past posts. Also, the most relevant thread I found was from 2011, so I'm wondering if OS X 10.8.2 has possibly addressed the issue and I've overlooked something. Suggestions/advice?

As the current Apple Mac OS X does not support stereo music over Bluetooth (A2DP profile missing) and if this headset does not come with a USB Audio adapter, then you are wasting money.
