BLUETOOTH TROUBLE ON MY 8520

HI,
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS RECEIVING PICTURES ETC FROM OTHER MOBILE PHONES VIA BLUETOOTH BUT I CAN SEND THEM?
I CAN PAIR UP WITH THE OTHER PHONES BUT WHEN IT STARTS TO CONNECT IT SAYS 'CONNECTION FAILED'
ANY ADVICE OR HELP???  THANKS!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
See this KB:
KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones
Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Pairing Volvo V60 Bluetooth with BB Curve 8520

I have trouble pairing my new car's Bluetooth with my BB Curve 8520. My car does not find my BB while all settings are active (bluetooth is on / it's discoverable etc.). On the other hand my BB finds MYCAR and I am prompted to fill in a password. When I type in 0000 or 1234 I get an error.
Can somebody let me know how this can be resolved? Is this a Volvo, BB, Bluetooth software or operator problem? Thanks for your help.

  • Problem with Bluetooth on BB Curve 8520

    Hi everyone
got a problem with my Curve 8520 (OS v5.0). Everything is working fine apart from Bluetooth connection. I can connect my device to Desktop Manager via Bluetooth but when I try to get an internet connection it's automatically reboot my BB. Same happens when I try to connect to an internet without BlackBerry Desktop Manager, using standard Dial-ip connection via Bluetooth.  Using USB connection got internet access as well as with BB Desktop Software and Dial-up mode. Does anyone know what can cause this problem?

    Hi dominicevans123!
    Welcome to Sony Community!
Sorry to hear the issue. Were there any changes on the laptop before the issue started? Let's isolate the issue. Kindly follow the troubleshooting guidelines here:
Power cycle - Shutdown the laptop and remove all peripherals -> look for battery off button on the bottom of the laptop -> press and hold the button for 5 seconds. (You can use a safety pin)
    Reset BIOS
Re-install Bluetooth driver in Device Manager. -> Start -> Device Manager -> Look for Bluetooth (sometimes under Network Adapters) -> Right click and choose Uninstall (DO NOT DELETE) -> Restart the unit -> Driver/s will be re-installed.
Uninstall Bluetooth Driver -> go to eSupport and download the driver -> You may also download the updates
Run Windows update and Vaio update
Set Bluetooth to Automatic in Services - Start -> Run -> Type "services.msc" -> Right click all Bluetooth -> Properties -> on Startup type, select Automatic -> Apply, then OK. -> Restart the laptop
    Hope these help.
    Best regards,
    Vincent

  • Bluetooth Trouble With Mouse and Keyboard

Symptoms of problem: Message indicating that mouse is not connected. Mouse becomes inoperable.
    Related clues:
After selecting "Browse Device" from the Menu Bar, Bluetooth icon, drop-down menu, the mouse is listed in the Browse Device window...the keyboard is not listed. The message "Searching for Devices - 0 Found", followed by "Found - 0 Devices" appears every few seconds.
When the Bluetooth icon in the System Preferences is selected, both the mouse and the keyboard are shown to be - On, Discoverable, Paired, and Connected.
There would seen to be nothing interfering with the signal, although I did enable a new 1.9 GHz wireless phone system just prior to experiencing the Mouse trouble.
    ???

So the first thing that I would do is disable the phone system and see if the issue goes away. If it does you most likely have your answer to the cause. However, BT is supposed to be confined to the license-free ISM band at 2.402-2.480 GHz which would seem to be well away from the phone's frequency.

I've posted elsewhere about this issue too.
Cannot get Yosemite (10.10.1) on my MacBook Air and iOS (8.1.1) on my iPhone6 to connect via Bluetooth (for AirDrop).
Won't retype the details that I've already posted on other threads.
I am new to these forums, and wonder if Apple systematically watches these threads to provide fixes to problems that many people are reporting.
Very frustrating that no fix is available for this basic operation.

  • Bluetooth trouble discription of T61p 8889AV9

After Bluetooth Mouse connected with the transciever on board, the mouse cannot work smoothly; while it connected with its own transceiver, it's OK.
Mouse: Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000, no password
           Driver: Microsoft Intellipoint 6.3
Bluetooth on board:      additionally connected with a PDA Phone, dopod P860, Windows Mobile 6.1
with the newest driver from Lenovo
Operation System:        Windows Vista Ultramate SP1 (Updated), ThinkPad T61p8889AV9
    Discription in detail:
1.Mouse cannot work while no Bluetooth icon located in Task Bar. It sometimes occurs after startup.
2.If the mouse is re-connected, its locmotion keeps smoothy.
3.If the mouse isn't re-connected, its locmotion cannot keep smoothy after several minutes.
4.If the mouse is connected with its own transceiver---Microsoft Transceiver v 3.0 for Bluetooth, it work well; but control pannel shows this device has some malfuctions---This device cannot start up(Code 10).
5.Bluetooth stack COM Server stop while pull out its own transceiver.
Guess: There is some trouble in the driver program of Bluetooth on board.

Tech. Support told me to send my laptop to them after too much of my time wasted. They were trying to make me install the Thinkpad Power Manager software and driver once again. They even said it was normal if your laptop shuts down after a few minutes or hours in sleep mode which is completely stupid unless the battery drained off and that's not the case.
And what's more important, my laptop was working faultlessly until I sent it to them for service. Then they changed the main board but they broke my LCD screen and caused the problem with Sleep mode. So I had to send it back, they changed the LCD with a 2005 HT14P12-100 when I had bought it in 2008 but they did nothing about the Sleep problem. And they want me to swallow that?
Ok, they'll collect it on Monday or Tuesday because I told them I was fed up and I didn't want it like that. I don't expect they'll solve the problem but I don't want it back until my Thinkpad works like it used to do before they put their hands on it.

  • HELP! BLUETOOTH TROUBLE!

I bought a bluetooth headset because I heard it would make a doog microphone for my mac mini and after I paired it it worked fine and now all of a sudden it's not working anymore. I tried pairing it again and the pairing was successful but when I selected the device in my bluetooth preferences and looked it it's status it said
    Paired: Yes
    Configured: Yes
    Favorite: Yes
    Connected: No
But right now I have my bluetooth headset on and I followed all the instructions on how to use it and when I tried using it as a microphone it didn't work. HELP!

    Jrtechn-
Wow, good thing it didn't take me forever to get back to you.
New BlueTooth headset. Headset doesn't work.
Me, I'd take the headset back and get one that worked with my Mac. Of course, that wold take time out of your busy schedule.

  • Bluetooth troubles.

My Macbook Pro bluetooth has been erratic for a while, needing frequent reconnection with wireless mouse and keyboard (both peripherals are Mac), and now mouse has lost most functionality (no gesture response). Have tried several Apple mice, none working properly. Any thoughts?

For the information of others who may have this problem:
I took my Macbook Pro in to an authorized Apple service provider, after failing to solve the issue by resetting PRAM and SMC, and seeking telephone help from Apple (I don't live anywhere close to an Apple store, so that wasn't an option).
In this case, the fix seemed to be checking the connections for the bluetooth card inside the laptop, which must have come loose and were causing intermittent function (and finally, failure) of bluetooth. This requires opening the back of the laptop, then disconnecting and re-connecting the 4 snap-on contacts. I'm thinking this isn't something you want to try at home, unless "home" is at the genius bar. The tech told me that if this mechanical fix did not work, the next thing to check would be the bluetooth antenna, which is a more involved process as it's integrated with the display, apparently. Fortunately, it didn't come to that.
So far, bluetooth is still working fine after a week – however, I wouldn't call the whole system totally reliable, as my keyboard and mouse still lose their bluetooth connection fairly frequently. At least now I can usually reset them with a couple of mouse clicks or taps on the space bar.
Hope this helps someone else avoid the frustrations I've been through lately!
    Cheers, Silk Q

  • Bluetooth trouble with Mac Pro

    Hi
I have recently bought a D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth Adapter for my Mac Pro and i am losing connection with my devices on waking the Mac Pro from sleep, both my Logitech Bluetooth Mouse and a Jabra headset. Typically I need to disconnect and reconnect the adapter before they will work again. Does anyone know what i can do to get this working properly. I get the same issues whether i plug the adapter into the front of the Mac Pro or the back of my Cinema Display which is ideally where i would like to connect it.
    thanks

Hi @JohnnWick Does this issue continue when the device is loaded in Safe mode? http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008
Perhaps you might have set smart connect, so you can try to do this:  Settings -> apps -> all -> smart connect and then clear data  If the problem persists, I suggest you to first run a backup of the device information like this: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253 Try again performing a factory reset using PC Companion: http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/ This will factory reset your phone and erase all data. You might need tocharge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery. Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you
have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small
button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device). Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process. If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP. I hope can be useful. I'm at disposal for any question. Best Regards,  Does this issue continue when the device is loaded in Safemode?

  • Bluetooth trouble

Hi: I just bought a Magic Mouse. When attempted to install it, it didn't work. I have installed the wireless update and have Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Besides, once this happened, my bluetooth stopped working: It is on and it recognizes devices, but they do not connect to the computer. What can I do?

  • A88XI AC Bluetooth trouble

    Hello,
I just recently finished a build with the AMD A88XI AC motherboard with the bluetooth radio, and I am having some issues with it.  I have a Turtle Beach XP 400 headset that uses BT for voice communication, and every time I try to pair them together, there is an issue with the drivers and they won't pair.  I've tried pairing some other things with the PC and none of them have worked, which is leading me to believe that maybe my BT drivers on my PC are faulty?  I uninstalled the drivers completely through device manager, and reinstalled them multiple times with some driver update software that I have, but that has not fixed the problem.  The Turtle Beach headset connects fine through bluetooth on my other PC that I have a dongle for, and onto my PS3.

Tried the latest Intel BlueTooth Driver 17.0.1403.0472 download from MSI website?

My iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4 is not connecting to the Bluetooth device JBL Flip portable speaker. Any solutions?

You should really start your own topic since this one is about a video recorder.
In your new post list the make and model of the speaker you are trying to connect with and what you have tried so far.
Sorry, wrong Flip. Is yours a JBL? Is it in discoverable mode? Do you have another device paired with it?

  • HT204387 Bluetooth trouble

Can not connect to Bluetooth at all iPhone 4.

    Again:
"TO what are you trying to connect.
Iphone supports bluetooth for stereo headsets/speakers, telephone handsfree devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store, and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.
Otherwise, it will not connect to any computer/phone/device.
If you are trying ot connect to a compatible device, then you can try turning off bluetooth, then turning it back on.
