Bluetooth two mini speakers ?

Is it possible to bluetooth two mini speakers to an iPod Touch ?

You can only pair with one set of speakers/devices at a one time.

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • Trouble connecting Ipod Nano with Nokia mini speakers

My wife has a 3rd gen Nano and was recently given some Nokia MD-6 mini speakers to use with the Ipod. Unfortunately we cannot get the speakers to play properly despite all efforts with the equalizer settings. The speakers play nicely on my own Ipod Classic 80 GB and other speakers work well with my wife's Nano. Can anyone think of a reason why the two components won't work together and even better - is there a solution? Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions. / Frank

Is the iPod in a case? Is the phono plug from the speakers not fully engaged in the iPod headphone jack socket? Plug barrel lengths are certainly not standard, as I have found, and might require a bit of careful trimming to achieve full insertion. A protective case will sometimes interfere with proper insertion also. I can't think of anything that could be electrically wrong.

  • Two Mini Mac and One Monitor

    Hey everyone,
Whats the best one to do? I have two mini mac and one monitor with a WIRELESS (Bluetooth) keyboard and mouse...
    Should I get a KVM or Network,etc?
Or what is the best advice for me to get?
Im using one Mini Mac for work just as Photoshop and Lightroom ONLY,
Other mini mac for play around, download, internet search, etc
both 10.4.11 BUT will get Snow Leopard soon...
    1.66 Ghz Inter Core Duo
    and
cant remember the other Ghz as its shut down at the moment but higher then 1.66Ghz, Inter Core Duo

...with a WIRELESS (Bluetooth) keyboard and mouse...
Do you have a separate keyboard & mouse for the other Mac? Bluetooth keyboards and mice normally can only be paired to one device and since the Bluetooth receiver is built-in to the Macs, you normally can't attach your Bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse to a KVM. (If you have a non-Bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse with it's own dedicated receiver, then it's possible to use that with a USB KVM. But those are mostly PC keyboards/mice so most Mac people don't have such.)
So that basically eliminates KVM as a sharing device for you. Leaving just something like screen sharing to remote control one of the Macs. You probably will not like the way Photoshop and Lightroom work over screen sharing, so remote control just the "internet only" Mac, not the Photoshop Mac.

  • How to transfer from one mini to another without messing up either one. I have one monitor and two minis. I do have a firewire cable but don't want a complete transfer, just specific files.

I have done a complete fire wire transfer before but I don't want to do that. I only want to transfer certain files and leave the existing and new minis in tact otherwise. I am sure I can transfer just files. My question mostly is: I only have one monitor but will have two minis that are hooked up. Can this be done without seeing the other computer contents? I hope that makes sense. The existing mini is 10.5.8 and the new one is 10.6.

You can start one mac up in target disk mode, get file sharing set up and then disconnect the monitor.  Monitor ports are very tolerant of connecting and disconnecting with the computer on.
Switch the monitor to the other computer.  Start up, connect the firewire cable (after the computer has booted) and set up file sharing on that computer.  You can see the other computer's contents without controlling the other computer's mouse and/or keyboard.
If the other computer's hard drive does not automatically show up, go to network settings and verify those settings as well.  That should not be necessary but ethernet would give you a second option for file transfers.

They have a trial version you can test before you purchase. It limits you to 10 minutes of streaming before it starts inserting noise into the stream.
But you may not need it. I've read a bit further, and it appears that you may be able to stream any system audio to an Airport Express without needing AirFoil since you have Mountain Lion. I though it would work only with an Apple TV, but I've seen mention that it works with the AE as well (I don't have one to try). When you get your Airport Express set up, go to the Sound (speaker) icon in the menu bar, hold down the Option key, and click the icon. You may see the AE listed there as a selectable output device; if so, select it and all your system audio should be sent to the AE, including Spotify.
    Regards.

  • Connecting two external speakers

    hi
i have one small question: is there any real harm into connecting two external speakers directly to the mac without the help of an amplifier?
    will there be any problems?
    thanx for replying

I did actually hook 'em up, without the amplifier and it does work with an acceptable level of sound(sounds quite nice) but i need to know whether this will har my mac in the long run.
I have two JBL column speakers.

  • KVM Switch (two Mini's - one Monitor)

    Hi,
I have a Mac Mini Intel Core 2 Duo v10.6.8 ( late 2009 - Mini DisplayPort) and a Mac Mini 2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 v10.9.2 ( 2014 - Mini DisplayPort and Thunderbolt Port), and I'd like to find a way to connect the two Mini's to one 24" LED Cinema Display (1920x1200 - Mini DisplayPort).
Reading in the apple support communities I saw that some users users recommend different brands (Gefen KVM, Dr. Bott KVM) in other cases so i would like to know if anyone used Mac's similar to mine before buying the switch.
    Sorry for my poor English
    Thanx

    Hi,
I don't have any, but after comparing these two, I'd choose the second one, not only by what the specs/features are, but more importantly what the 1st one does specify...

Apears you'd need 2 MDP/TB to DVI adapters.
So that may be a clue in investigating which is best, hopefully you'll get a reply from KVM owners here.
BTW, had you not mentioned it, I'd take you were a native English speaker, quite good!

  • Two Mini's Working together = More power?

Hey, i bought a mac mini when they first came, and i recently have aquired another mac mini and have no idea what do to with it. Is there a way to connect the two mini's so they can work together as one computer? Im inexperienced when it comes to networking and connecting computers and such, but what options do i have with two mac minis? Thanks

Oh yes lots of uses for a second Mini. The simplest thing to do is treat it as just more disk space. Share a folder.
Do a google on VNC. It's the free version of Apple remote desktop. With this you can access one Mini from the other. One CRT/keyboard/Mouse and two computers
Set up one Mini as an iTunes server and connect it to the stereo. Remove the monitor and control it remotel using VNC
Other uses. Set up one as a webserver and/or router.
If you use Gimp (or any other X11 program) for image editing then you can do the crunching" on one computer and the dispaly on the other.
Experiment with Linux, it would run very well on a Mini

  • IHome iHM77 Stereo Mini Speakers

Ok, I know this isn't an iMac question but I didn't know what category to put it in. I AM a proud owner of an shiny new iMac though and long time Mac lover.
Anyone have a set of the iHome mini speakers? My problem is I bought a little 7 inch dig. color tv which works pretty well. When the speakers are at full volume, I can still just barely hear them. Any ideas? Would these iHome speakers work or do they have to be connected to the tv by USB or something. (no USB on the tv). Can I just set the iHome speakers next to the tv speakers and it'd amplify volume for me -- or is that now how it works?
    Rose

These look to be powered through the USB port on a Mac while they receive the audio through the Mac's audio out port. So if all you have done is plug in the audio from the TV and the speakers are not attached to a power source through the USB connection they cannot work.
You can probably use them with a portable USB power adapter.

  • What are some good choices for Mac Mini Speakers?

    Hi All....
I have recently purchased a new Mac Mini (i7 Quad Core 2.3 Ghz) and was wondering what a good choice (and cool choice) for Mac Mini speakers.  I have the Harmon Kardon 2.1 speakers which are EXCELLENT but for some reason I'm having trouble getting it to work with the Mini.  Any suggestions or ways to get the Harmon Kardon's working with it???
    Thanks ahead!!

Ooops...  Hit the "solved" button by mistake!  hehhee....
Anyway....  I also have a Mac Pro DualQuadCore2.8Ghz....  Which it works with but for some reason I can't get it to work with the Mini.  I'm temporarily using a small iHome speaker in the 3.5 jack.  I don't think the HK SoundSticks have a 3.5 jack....  Just USB.  But I'm still sorting through a ton of cables, plugs and wires...

  • Disable bluetooth on mini

I have a Cirago Bluetooth BTA6210 v.2.1 EDR Class 1 Micro Bluetooth Adaper with my mini to extend the range of my bt keyboard and mouse.  Works perfectly once connect, but whenever there are updates or a power bump it doesn't automatcally connect.  The internal connects to the kb/mouse but the range is horrible.  Cirago just states 'it works' with the mac by plugging it in; how can i force an external bt antena?

Is it possible to use the Apple menulet (it appears in the menubar near the clock) to turn off the Apple built-in Bluetooth without turning off the Cirago one? If so that would be the simplest solution.
Alternatively, maybe disconnecting the internal Bluetooth antenna cable may be an option. If you look at the bottom of this page http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Mac+Mini+Late+2012+Teardown/11262/1 you can see the wireless daughter board as inside the Mac mini. You can also see the three round brass sockets. I believe two are for WiFi and one for Bluetooth. If you don't need WiFi removing the daughter board completely would definitely solve the problem.
