I have a Bose stereo system with a blut tooth adapter. It connects to mly iphone via bluetooth but my Ipad with retna display will not connect to it. Help...

Yes they have reason to.
To send a file or photo to or from a phone.
Bluetooth does that on any other phone or device.
No point in bluetooth even being in a phone if it cant be used wherever or with what devices i choose.
May as well unistall it.
Craziest thing i have ever heard " it won't connect becasue it has no reason to" it has a reason to send a photo to another device.
I would not have bought these phones if i know that.
Why isnt it in the specs?

My Iphone 4's bluetooth will not connect.

The problem that I am having is that my bluetooth on my iPhone 4 will not connect. When you visit the bluetooth settings, the area where you would turn it off and on has a loading circle. The button never returns and doesn't allow me to turn my bluetooth on or off. I used the control panel that you can access by swiping up on the screeen; however, whenever you turn that off or on there is no change to the bluetooth. I have completely restored the iPhone a couple times using different settings hoping that it would change the outcome but no luck. I am trying to connect my iPhone 4 to a JLabs bluetooth headset and it has worked well in the past but all of the sudden it seems like my phone no longer has bluetooth. When you restore the device as new, you are essentially reinstalling a fresh new copy of iOS 7 onto your device. This will clear out any potential software issues with the device, so it is important to not restore from a backup in order to isolate your personal files from conflict.
If the bluetooth is still not functioning after a complete factory restore with iTunes on a computer, than your device will be experiencing a hardware issue and will need to be serviced.
If you are within the 1-year warranty or have purchased AppleCare, you will be eligibile for a replacement iPhone 4 for free. If you are not within any form of warranty, then you will be subject to an Out of Warranty repair fee of $149.

My iPhone 4S Bluetooth will not connect with either my iPad1, MacBook Pro or Automobile BT. Suspect a stack issue in new BT 4.0 (BTLE) release. Has any one discovered fix to this. I have tried this with two separate 4S phones and have same problem..

When I initially discovered the problem I went to an Apple Store. Genius was excellent but requested that I check with VW. VW people were very helpful. A mechanic had an iphone 4s. He came out to the car ... He could not pair my phone but he could pair his phone ... So, it's the iphone ... Back to the Apple Store ... the genius was really good. He replaced the iphone. Great ! So, back out to the car & it would not pair, still. So ... can't be the phone , right. Back to VW. The Audi manager had an iphone 4S. He paired his phone with my car. He could not pair my phone to my car. He tries my phone in a new 2011 GTI sitting on the lot ... my phone pairs with it just fine. So ... it's my car. So ... make an appointment to get the bluetooth module replaced. They replace the Bluetooth module. My iphone will not pair. They end up pairing 2 different iphone 4S to my car ... but not my iphone 4S. My iphone 4S will also not pair with another 2010 GTI they have in for service. Though the 2 iphone 4S
pair with the second GTI just fine. They even try pairing my iphone with a brand new 2012 GTI in the showroom ... yep ... it paired fine. So ... ????????????????
They are going to update my nav software next (tomorrow), Hopeful ??? not really ... Will be taking my computer to Apple Store next ... maybe if they can discover why it will not pair to my MacBook Pro it will lead to a solution for the GTI ??? I'll get back to you.

IOS8 8.0.2 Bluetooth will not connect to Heart rate Monitor H7

I have just switched over to the iPhone 6 and it is running the 8.0.2 IOS 8 version but it will not pick up or pair with my Heart rate Monitor. We saw the same issue when Updating to 8.0.2 on the iPhone 5. It looks like when you update to the new IOS it will break the Bluetooth connecting option to the drive that worked on IOS 7 or before.
I thought this would be an issue with the HR monitor but it works fine on any device until yu update to IOS 8. I would say this is a backwards compatibility issue with IOS 8 not connecting to devices that iPhone used to connect to in Earlier IOS versions.
Are there any plans to fix this bug in IOS 8 to allow for being able to use Devices that worked in previous IOS versions?

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.

You sure your mac ethernet port works.
Give them a call. Verify that they only support windows for coniguration of router. Ask them about future support. If they have heard of the ipad. Ask if they plan on supporting a web browser interface. Ask about their sanity. My $5 router supports a web browser interface.
You could get a cheap wifi router with ethernet ports and with a web browser interface. Connect you mac to you el cheap router. Connect your el cheapo router to the eircom router. Note: Apple routers have a propriety interface too and unless you have a new Mac best to avoid.
Could they switch you to a router that supports a web browser interface?
Get a friend with a windows laptop and ask to come over to get things working.
Internet support is standardized. You mac should be able to access the internet through the router.
What is not standardized is how you configure your router.

HT4623 My Iphone5's bluetooth will not connect with anything

the bluetooth on my iphone will not discover any devices nor will it allow it to pair with other devices. I purchased an Iphone 4S at the same time and it is presenting the same problems. I have restarted it and I have rebooted it to no avail.

I've had my iPhone 5 for just over a year now, and I haven't really had any problems since iOS7 was installed. I had a PC, with no connectivity problems between any of my Apple devices. Then FINALLY, I purchased my very first Macbook Air 13". I set it all up, updated all the apps, and made sure it was good to go. My iPhone was really low on battery one day, and I just happened to have my USB for it handy and thought I would just plug it into my computer to charge it. I figured I worry about syncing it later as I hadn't really had time to set it all up with iTunes on the new computer.
MY PHONE WENT CRAZY. It just started vibrating all over the table. Looking at the battery icon, it was flipping between charging and not charging, and occasionally the "do you trust this device" window would pop up on the screen, but it was still going crazy. iTunes opened up and these alerts saying "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. Could not connect to the device." and "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. This device is no longer connected." All it was doing at this point was using up even more battery. But then the iPhoto app opened by itself on my shiny new Macbook and the vibrating stopped. It was charging and syncing! But not having iPhotos before on a computer weirded me out i hadn't decided exactly what I wanted to do with it, I closed the app. The phone went nuts again. ***. On a different day, I was trying to sync it again, and it worked. But only long enough to back it up on the macbook. W.T.F.
Plugging into any PC is no problem at all. The phone just connects and starts charging.
I've tried just about everything. All of my software is up to date, both on the mac and iphone. The USB cord is fine. I've reset the macbook with it plugged in and not plugged in. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled iTunes with the phone plugged in and not plugged in. I've reset all the contents and settings on my iPhone, as well as did a hard reset with it plugged in and not plugged in. My iPad has no problem connecting and it also has iOS7. It's just so weird though, that it starts connecting/disconnecting interchangeably as soon as I plug it into the computer, even when all my apps are closed. All this is leading me to believe that it must be some sort of issue between the devices' communication to each other. But I'm not sure if it's an iPhone, MacBook, or iTunes issue!

I had this same problem with my new MBP 15", but only with the USB port on the left side. The USB port on the right side worked fine. Perhaps the ports on the left don't have enough signal energy for the iPhone.
Anyway, try using a different USB port, and if that doesn't work, perhaps you could try a powered USB hub.

A network installed HP8600, will not connect to a new client with OS WIN7SP1, WSD Print Driver err

My home network consists of 3 computers with OS WIN7-SP1 and a Networked HP8600 connected thru a Linksys E3200 router. 2 of the 3 computers have been on the network with the 8600 for several months and have had ongoing problems with receiving a print command. I've been trying to load the Printer software on the 3rd computer for the last 2 days without success. The software fails to complete installation and hangs up when trying to ID the Networked 8600. I had HP Print and Scan Dr. operating in the background and it found the printer, and gives the message "Installation failed", "Windows can not find a suitable Printer driver". Is there a fix that my research is failing to find?

If you connect the printer to the router using the Ethernet cord it is effectively "wireless" to all the other devices on the network. You just have to select "Network - Ethernet" as your connection type and install the printer that way to ensure they are all connected. If you do this, the printer will not have to be tangiby "connected" to any of the computers on your network.

Ipod touch 2g bluetooth will not connect after syncing with iTunes

Had my ipod touch 2nd gen working with Bluetooth pairing to my Jambox and Boss DVD player and previously had worked with my AudioEngine Bluetooth device. Had a problem with musc files giving me an 1309 error message, was able to just select music manually without sync until this problem came up.
Had to initiate the auto Sync with iTunes which removed the error message for Music and since then my Bluetooth pairing has stopped. Have ver 4.21 and the Bluetooth shows the bluetooth mac address.
The Love is gone for this device. It will not pair up with devices that were working under bluetooth last week.
Anyone have any ideas?

- On the iPod try resetting network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to repair Bt defive s and rejoin wifi networks
- Reset the BT devices and repair. You have to see the BT device manual for how to reset them.

10.6.8 Bluetooth will not connect to Apple keyboard

I just upgraded to 10.6.8 and my Apple keyboard, which came with the iMac, can't be recognized by the iMac. My old bluetooth keyboard from my old G5 iMac is recognized and works OK. The little green light on the upper left side of the keyboard just keeps blinking. In the keyboard setup it just keeps searching for the keyboard. Anyone have any ideas to get the new keyboard to connect?

IPhone 4s Bluetooth will not connect with my 2009 Mercedes S550

My 2009 Mercedes S550 will recognize my iPhone 4s via Bluetooth and then will connect but then I get a message on my phone that it is incompatible and then the car and phone don't recognize the other. Car says 'phone is off' when it is not. Any ideas on what to do? It has worked for 2 years with a 3GS iPhone and the other operating systems.

I took my phone to the dealership and they were able to get it to pair. They did all the pairing from the phone side. They activated the bluetooth receiver on the car and then went into the bluetooth settings on the phone to pair it. It works fine now. Regarding the ringtone...my wife had a similar problem and it was the ringtone she had selected on her phone that was causing the problem. You might try changing your ringtone to see if you still have the same problem.
