Bluetooth won't pair (Motorola h700  cell phone headset )

I have been trying to pair the Motorola H700 headset I use with my cell phone with my new iPod touch.
It will not pair. Is the headset I use with my cell phone different, or should it be able to pair for use with apps like Skype on my iPod Touch????

Could you please clarify? I understand your point that bluetooth headsets that are only designed for phone calls won't work with the touch, but don't most bluetooth headsets that play music also handle phone calls. For instance, the samsung bluetooth headset that I use with my Windows mobile Omnia will play music and phone calls and skype and voip calls. And it is my understanding that the touch supports skype and voip.

  • Bluetooth won't pair both audio and phone. Car multi-media in range and turned on?

    I have iOS 8.1.3.  Can no longer use both phone and audio- it disconnects one to pair the other and doesn't allow both. Error message says make sure car multi-media is turned on, in range, and ready to use.

    Thanks Peter! I had done  that before multiple times with no success- even turning off bluetooth and the phone in hopes for a reset; I called Apple and my rad service person Shaquita requested I turn off my wireless, reset my network, and try again. That worked and both the audio and the phone paired. Have a great day! Hopefully this helps others with the same issue; but I understand that the bluetooth may kick out again and I may have to repeat this process. Kind regards, Angela

  • Help pairing Motorola H700 Headset

    I've been trying to pair my h700 headset with my powerbook G4. However, it seems to get tuck on the bluetooth assistant. For example, I start the assistant, and it sees the device, but then it just sits there and contiunes searching for other headset devices. Or, if I select 'Continue' after it finds my device (but while it's still searching), it just sits at the 'Gathering more information about your device' step. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I have the internal bluetooth, so I am not using an adapter.
    As far as firmware and software, I have Bluetooth firmware version 3.1792 and Apple Bluetooth software version 1.7.3f4
    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    I had the exact same problem. Called Motorola and they told me it will not work with the Mac.
    So I returned it and bought the Motorola HS820 and it pairs just fine and works extremely well.

  • T61 Bluetooth won't pair w/ Wiimote (Wii Remote) with 5.5.0.5800

    I'm trying to use a wiimote for a elecronic whitebaord implementation. (wiimoteproject.com). The wiimote doesn't use a passkey to pair. If one is given, it won't pair. I just downloaded the latest BT stack and am now version 5.5.0.5800. However, when you add a device in My Bluetooth Places, it requires a passkey. The previous version of the BT stack ( I believe the version I had before was 5.1.xxx ) didn't require the passkey to pair.
    Help.
    Solved!

    Hi.
    I could't find the drivers version metioned above.
    My case was the same, I always was asked for a key pass for the wii mote.
    And when I went to Start->Settings->Control Panel-> Blue Tooth Devices. In the Hardware tab there was nothing.
    Using add and remove programs I remove Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software (It took much time with the progress bar stoped) and after restarting, windows installed automatically its drivers ¿instead of the lenovo ones?.
    The fact is that now I can use Start->Settings->Control Panel-> Blue Tooth Devices. In the hardware tab now there is information and using the Devices tab I can add the wii mote, this time it asks you if a pass key is needed.
    I hope this was your case too.

  • Bluetooth comunication with non labview device (cell phone)

        Hello everybody,
    my question is "simple" so I'll get to the point:
    It is possible to make a Bluetooth conection between a labview program and another program in other device?
    I want to send commands from a program in my cell phone (Pyhon) to my PC (labview), and I haven´t found information of how to do it.
    If  answer == YES  {
    How?;
    Thanks;
    else   {
    I'm done...  ;
    Thanks for saving me hours looking for the way to do it....

    We were able to succesffully communicate with BT printers using the LabVIEW BT primatives. However, we had to uninstall the deviceand adapter specific BT drivers before it would work. For example, if you are using a BT adapter on a PC you should remove its drivers. Leave the Windows default drivers installed.

  • After IOS7 bluetooth won't pair

    After I updated to IOS7 my iPhone4 will not pair or even find my Plantronics Discovery 975. I tried hard power reset, reset Network settings, turning Bluetooth on and off on device and phone and nothing.
    Tho device worked perfectly before the update!

    Problem pairing headset after upgrade to IOS 7 ?
    I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro and was having similar issues after upgrading to IOS7.
    This is what I did... See if it helps you...
    1. I went to Settings in iPhone and turned "off" bluetooth option
    2. Then I turned off my bluetooth headset
    3. I went to Settings again in iPhone and turn "on" the bluetooth option so that it goes to searching mode
    4. Turned on my headset.
    5. Viola! It showed my Voyager Pro, but when I clicked on it to connect, it failed.
    6. I tapped on the '(i)' next to my bluetooth device within the bluetooth setting on iPhone and did a 'Forget this Device'. I also turned off my Voyager at this point.
    7. Then I turned on the headset until I saw the blue light; and continued to hold down the on/off (power) switch until the blue/red light started flashing. (hard reset)
    8. My iPhone again discovered my Voyager and I tapped on it to connect.
    9. Yippe! all set...
    Basically, holding down the power button on the headset did a hard reset, and starts a search for a new device or new software, in this case it was iOS7. Otherwise the poor headset was searching for its old buddy (iPhone with IOS6).
    Cheers!

  • Bluetooth won't pair

    hi just got my X yesterday & i've been tring to pair it with my bluetooth its a plantronics explorer 390 it worked fine for my previous phone but its just not connecting to my droid. i figured out how to pair but its not getting detected any ideas.

    Anyone have difficulty pairing their phone with a printer at a photo kiosk? Mine goes into discovery mode, but when I try to pair it asks for a password? Which password? Don't recall setting a password, so this is confusing. Although many kiosks say they are not compatible with some bluetooth enabled devices.

  • Does iPhone Bluetooth works when paired with an Android phone?

    Hi I wonder if an iPhone bluetooth is compatible with android phone or other devices? I want to send some pictures from my iphone to my laptop but I am not sure if its going to work. Please advice. Thanks.

    No.
    There are some 3rd party apps that provide for transferring select data via bluetooth with your computer.
    This is for security reasons especially with a very insecure Android device.

  • IPhone 4 bluetooth won't pairing with my MacBook Pro and Blackberry

    I just bought an iPhone 4 few days ago, but seems I'm having an issue in pairing my iPhone with my Blackberry Bold 9700, and the worst part is I can't even pairing it with my MacBook Pro 13" 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. All devices has been in "discovery" mode, but my iPhone can't recognize any of those devices. On the other side my MBP and Blackberry recognizing my iPhone, but can not be pairing.
    Anyone could help me on this? I've been trying to search for the answer in the forum but can't find it. I found some subjects regarding iPhone bluetooth issue but can't find the answer of my problem.
    Thanks,

    Just sync, I'm not sure what else it is suppose to be able to do as I am yet to achieve a connection.
    I am assuming it should be able to sync my library, playlists, etc.

  • Bluetooth: Cannot pair MacBook Pro 15" (early 2009) and Nokia cell phones

    When I try to pair my Nokia cell phone (E65) with my new MacBook Pro 15", the bluetooth assistant hangs after the input of the pairing code. I tried another Nokia cell phone in addition (N70), but had the same issue.
    When I initiate the pairing by the phone, then the pairing process seems to be successful, but I still cannot use the bluetooth connection with the phone afterwards (e.g. browsing files on it, 3G internet connection). The connection becomes established for a few seconds, but then the phone is being disconnected.
    I never had these problems using my old black MacBook. It still works when I try today. So it must be an issue of the new MBP.
    I successfully paired the New MBP with my old MB via Bluetooth - could transfer files for example without any problems. Therefore I think that the Bluetooth hardware (Broadcom) seems to work properly.
    The MacBook Pro 15" has the Broadcom chipset, while the old black MacBook has the Cambridge Silicon Radio chipset. Maybe there's an incompatibility between Broadcom and Nokia (?)
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    I also have an early 2009 15" MBP and am experiencing bluetooth pairing problems. When I first started this computer, I successfully paired my Sonyericsson HBH-DS980 headphones. While using this connection, I accidently lost the connection by moving out of range. After this, the headphones would not re-connect. I deleted the headphones from the MBP bluetooth configuration and tried unsuccessfully to discover and re-pair. I also have another pair of SE HBH-DS220s. They initially paired and worked properly with my MBP and again after loss of connection, would not re-connect or re-pair. I do not have this problem with my first generation MBP so I know it must be something with the bluetooth system in my new MBP. I don't know anything about Mac operating systems, but I bet there is some log file somewhere that is logging a bluetooth problem and thereby locking out that type of device. I would really appreciate a MAC guru's help.
    Thanks
    Dan

  • Address Book-Bluetooth-Dial Cell Phone or Send SNS

    I have repeatedly paired my Cell Phone to my Powerbook according to the available procedures. When I select a phone number in Address Book both "Dial on Cell Phone" and "Send SMS" are grey. The bluetooth symbol at the top of the Address Book page never turns blue as described after successful pairing of my cell phone to my computer. I would like to use my Address Book with my cell phone (Motorola V557). Please tell me how!

    Yes and no. At least in my opinion.
    Before iPhone Apple worked with mobile hardware makers to integrate features like you describe into Address Book to make it easier to manage calls and Address Book contacts.
    Now, on the iPhone those same contacts are all on the iPhone. I can see how someone at Apple might come to the conclusion that the "dial with phone" feature would not be implemented. I did use the feature all the time with my Sony Ericsson W810i, but I don't miss it at all with my iPhone.

  • Downloading pictures from a cell phone

    I have a Motorola Razor cell phone, which I connected to my computer using the USB cable from my graphing calculator. Is it possible to download my pictures off of my cell phone onto iphoto using this setup. If so, how do I do it? If not, is there another way to get the photos into iphoto without emailing them to myself one at a time?
    Thanks!
    Kari

    I've had better luck using BlueTooth, if your iMac supports it. Just pair your phone with the iMac and transfer the files.
    I don't know how the USB side works (my phone is a Samsung Trace), but I would assume a proprietary file transfer means.
    I didn't realize my cell phone pictures looked better on my Mac, but then again, the phone's LCD is so tiny.
