Blur part of screen

I've searched but can't find an answer - hope it's not been asked before.
I'm trying to blur about half of the screen for a clip but can't see how to do it. It's probably dead simple but after a couple of hours I'm resorting to ask for help! (I've also tried in Motion 5 but can't do it there either!)
Thanx in advance.

Duplicate the clip, one on top of the other. Use the mask effect or the crop too to cut the clip and then blur it.

iPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???
My son has nothing but problems with his iPad Mini.  It is less than a year old and it constantly freezes/crashes/glitches and parts of the screen are unresponsive.  This happens while playing games, watching movies, surfing the net etc etc
The iPad has been in a heavy duty Survivor case from day 1 and has been very well taken care of - so I don't think it's a damage issue
I have tried numerous resets (just holding the 2 buttons) and have disabled every feature on the iPad that might be causing memory/RAM issues (?)  all to no avail.
I haven't tried resetting to factory settings as I don't want to lose all the data on the iPad (mostly his game achievements and Minecraft maps that he has worked so hard on!!!)
    SO - any suggestions:
    1) Take it in to the Apple Store - I have never gone to Apple over an issue, is this possibly covered by warranty???
    2) Factory Reset - If I do this can I save all his game achievements/data???
    Cheers,
    Todd

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. You're covered by Apple's 1-year warranty.

  • Blurring the entire screen in a WinForms application

    Hello,
I am trying to come up with a way to blur the entire screen (all forms visible) on a WinForms program. I am using C# in VS2005. I have tried the code from this link:
.net - C# dialog form with blur background - Stack Overflow
...and it works quite well, however it only works for the active form, not for all forms visible. How would I adapt this code to work for the entire screen? I looked at
the Application.OpenForms[] controls, but I can only do one control.
Is there a more elegant way to do what I'm trying to achieve?

    Hi friend,
Like your title mentioned, this is a WinForms application case. So I moved your case to Winform forum for better support.
    Best regards,

Sounds like you have an issue with the back lighting. If under warranty, take to an Apple Store or an Authorized Apple Service Provider.

  • I have dented the back of my new iPad and it is causing a little blur on the screen. Can this be fixed?

I have dented the back of my new iPad and it is causing a little blur on the screen. Can this be fixed?

Yes, but "fix" entails replacing yours with a refurbished one at a reduced cost. There is no physical fix in the sense of removing the back unless you were to do that yourself.
Damage caused by you is not covered under the warranty. You can take it to your local Apple retailer to see what can be arranged.

  • Certain part of screen stopped working

So one night I was texting and a certain part of the screen stopped working. The only way I can describe the part of the screen is by saying it is if you look at the regular texting screen, from the top of the spacebar and up to the top of the texting letters does not work on the ENTIRE iPhone. I can't call people by entering numbers. But I can answer phone calls, set alarms, but its the certain area on the phone that does not work. What do I do to fix this? Do I need a new phone?

First, do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide (bookmarked in iPhone Safari): Restart phone, reset phone, restore in iTunes using a backup, restore as a new iPhone. See this support article:

  • Lenovo Ideapad U410: part of screen is white

I have a Lenovo Ideapad U410 and the left part of my screen is uniformly white after turning on the laptop. It's a rectangle about 1 inch long, from top of the screen to the bottom.
I got this suddenly pretty much a month after buying the laptop (it appeared suddenly and I didn't do anything to cause it), and then the area of the white rectangle got bigger after I mistakenly dropped my laptop yesterday.
Would buying a new screen and installing it fix this, or could the problems be more besides the screen?
And is this covered by limited warranty?
    Thanks.

    Hi Dsav6,
As per your concern, I would suggest you to please re-install the graphics driver of your system from the below mentioned web link.
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT073650
Afterwards, please restart the system and check if the issue still persists then it needs a personal assistance and it will be covered under warranty.
    Regards,
    Sameer

  • [SOLVED] virtual tty covering only part of screen; 2nd graphics chip?

    Hi there!
I'm running Arch (KDE 4.6.1) on an intel Essential D510mo mobo. Now I'm seeing some graphics issues, which seem interrelated to me:
    1. on the tty the output extends only over part of the screen: the right (estimated) quarter and the bottom (estimated) quarter stay black
    2. plasma device notifications pop up roughly at the same spot where my tty ends. The rest of KDE 'looks normally', extending to the physical borders of my screen
    3. KDE's splash screen (set to Standard, 'Air and Horos Splash Screen') shows two wallpapers: one covering the whole screen, underneath a smaller copy of itself in the same reduced size as seen in 1 and 2
    4. sometimes (mainly when the screen gets driven by my other PC on its DVI-D input) kdm comes up in a lower *resolution*. This lower resolution *might* correspond to the same size as seen in 1 to 3, but it's hard to tell
    Some details regarding my setup:
    - The board is connected to a 1680x1050 TFT via its VGA input.
    - I *think* I'm running KMS (at least switching between TTY's and X works instantly).
    - krandrtray talks of my mobo having two connectors: one is called LVDS1, allowing a resolution of up to 1280x800, the other is called VGA1 allowing a resolution of up to 1680x1050. The ratio of these resolutions roughly corresponds to the two screen sizes I've spoken about in 1-3 above. When clicking krandrtray's 'identify screens', both 'LVDS1' and 'VGA1' are shown on my one physical TFT, slightly shifted (I assume they both are shown in the 'center' of their respective screens). So my mobo seem to think it can drive two screen simultaneously. I don't think so, but I may be wrong.
    - Some time ago, when kdm almost always came up in the wrong resolution, I created a /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/15-edid.conf to try to force the graphics driver to run at 1680x1050:
    Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Device "Intel Corporation "
    Monitor "Generic Monitor"
    DefaultDepth 24
    SubSection "Display"
    Depth 24
    Modes "1680x1050"
    EndSubSection
    EndSection
I know I'm being terribly vague, sorry for that. If there's any further information you need, I'll be glad to provide it, but at the moment I don't know what to look for. Still, I'd be grateful for any help offered. I'm pretty sure the solution is embarassingly simple.
    Kind regards,
    Rufus
P.S.: Here go the relevant parts of Xorg.0.log. To my untrained eye, Xorg seems to see two graphics chips:

OK, it turned out rather easy, I'll write it down here for the record:
    simply add
    video=LVDS-1:d
    to the line
    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=
in /etc/default/burg and run the command specified at the top of this file (IIRC, it's "burg-mkconfig -o /boot/burg/burg.cfg"; cf. http://code.google.com/p/burg/wiki/Manu … #Configure)
This definitely solves issue 1 and 3. Issue 2 *seems* to be solved, issue 4 will need further testing (since it was erratic to begin with)

  • IPad 4 some parts of screen unresponsive

    Ello,
Occasionally some parts of the screen is unresponsive to touch, such as hyperlinks, but if I move the page up or down then touch again it does.  The address bar does something similar, no response when I type in an address, but then works if I click refresh.
Coincidentally, my friend has the same problem with her iPad Air.
    any ideas?
    thanks

    Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.

  • Yellow tint (lower part of screen)

    Good day!
I am a very satisfied Z2 user for quite a while now.
My problem started recently when I noticed the lower part of my screen developing a yellowish color.
Should I send it to Sony service center or should I wait for a firmware update?
And would the service center accept it even if I bought it from a gray market?
    Btw, I'm from Manila, Philippines.
    TIA!

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
First of all check the settings for white balance. You'll find it under settings > display > white balance.
If you have tried to change it without any difference when it comes to the yellow tint I suggest that you have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:

  • Quicktime Record Part of Screen option missing

I'm running Quicktime 10.0.0. The screen recording function seems to be working fine, except for the fact that I cannot record part of the screen, which is actually what I need to do. Specifically, I need to record clips from some youtube videos, but I don't want my whole computer screen to show up in the recording. Just the video footage...
From what I've read, it seems like I should be getting this prompt when I press the record button:
But instead, I keep getting the prompt below, with no option to choose part of the screen. Can anyone please help? I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

QT 10.0 doesn't offer the screen-selection-size option. In 10.0, you can record only the entire screen. I would guess that the instructions you're reading apply to some version of QT beyond 10.0.
You can, however, post-process and crop to a desired size with another application. MPEG Streamclip is good for such crops.

  • Refreshing Header & Detail part in Screen

    Dear Friends,
I've been facing the following two problems in the diaog program that I am developing:
In my screen I have header & detail portions. The header part contains fields e.g. contract no., transporter code, Date effective from, Date effective upto etc. that I pick up from transparent tables. To display the detail part I am using a table control that gets populated from internal table. Now when I save, the data gets saved successfully (both header & detail) and subsequently I am clearing the screen also but still I am not able to enter a  new entry. There is no alternative other than to come out of the program & executing it once again.
Further if I change any entry in the header part (containing only fields) and save that updation doesn't get saved  i.e.next time also it shows the previous values while in the detail part (table-control) the updation gets saved.
    Waiting for your invaluable inputs..
    Regards,
    Alok.

    Hi Alok,
Seems in your program.. After change in details part... while saving the modules written in PBO are retriving old values.
Please put some flag in PBO which will control it's execution. Ie. at 1st time when u fetch the data. It will set as "X' then for every next time when u change data in details... It will not fetch data. It will accept your own data in header.
