Bluray ISO image not readable

Hi all,
If I ask your help today it's because I face a very strange problem with my Bluray ISO disks generated with Adobe Encore CS5.
I explain the problem :
I have generated my personal video (720x1280) with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5
I have created the menu of my bluray with Adobe Encore CS5
Then, I've generated the ISO with Adobe Encore CS5.
The ISO image makes 5,80Go
The problem is, when I mount the ISO image of the Bluray disk with Daemon Tool Lite v4.41.3.0173, the disk can't be read:
With Windows Media Player: Windows Media Player can not play the DVD. Due to its special design, it is not supported by the reader.
With VLC v1.1.11: Your media entrance can be opened: VLC can not open 'dvd: / / H: \. "Check messages for more details.
With Cyberlink PowerDVD9: The disc format in the H: drive is not supported
With Cyberlink PowerDVD11: The disc format in the H: drive is not supported
With TotalMedia theater 5: This disc can not be read
I'm using Windows Seven 64 bits
However, if I burn the bluray ISO image on a real bluray disc, I can read the disc on My PC and my PS3 with:
PowerDVD9
TotalMedia theater 5
and on my PlayStation3
The bluray disc burned can't be read with VLC nor Windows Media Payer nor PowerDVD11
Please, can you help me to understand this problem ?
This are my personal life videos, so I would like to solve this problem in order to save these precious moments.

littlesquall

Hi all,
thanks for your answers.
@John T Smith:
What's the solution ?
With http://forums.adobe.com/thread/890691?tstart=0
I haven't tried to generate a folder with Encore but only ISO files.
I will try this solution.
But if I burn the ISO image (5,80Go) with LG Burning Tool, the image is readable on my PC and PS3.
I have tried to make an ISO file from the BD-RE burned, but the new ISO file makes 23Go I don't know why...
With http://forums.adobe.com/thread/890691?tstart=0
My Bluray disc generated makes 5,80Go, so it's not a problem with a too big project.
@Ann Bens:
I've tried with Virtual Clone Drive
Now, I can read the ISO image with Cyberlink PowerDVD9 and TotalMedia theater 5.
The ISO file doesn't work with VLC, PowerDVD11, nor Windows Media Player.
It's better with Virtual Clone Drive but it's not perfect.
I would like to understand, is it a problem concerning the image generated by Encore CS5, or a problem with the soft used to mount the ISO images ?
I save all my personal videos on ISO files, so I would like to understand concretly what the problem is, to be abble to read the ISO in the future...
Thanks for helping me

  • Bootable ISO images not visible in PCD when doing Migration Task

We are looking to move from CUCM 8.6 to CUCM 10.0 using Prime Collaboration Deployment. We have the full 10.0 media for CUCM and IMP. We created an ISO image of each and uploaded them to the /fresh_install directory on the PCD server. When creating a migration task in PCD, when we get to the point to select an image and click Browse, nothing is there. We also tried downloading the bootable 10.5 media from PUT. After uploading that media, this was visible, but the 10.0 image we made from the original CD was not.
It appears PCD is doing some sort of validation check against the ISO. What can we do to ensure we create a valid image from the Disc so PCD can see it?

    Hi, Jack.
I have the same question, could you provide more details? Thanks!
Say, in the log I found this: The given directory was located and searched but no valid options or upgrades were available. Note, the system cannot be downgraded so option and upgrade files for previous releases were ignored.
But this does not clarify the question.

  • ISO Image not booting - GRUB cannot find cdrom

I am using the archlinux-2008.06-core ISO image in my Acer Travelmate 2350.
Instead of showing the menu GRUB drops me to the shell. It seems it cannot load the menu.lst due to not finding the cdrom.
I found a similar bug filed under: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/6292
It was closed by using isolinux instead of grub.
    Is this a known problem?

Yes, I know that it is a rolling release. Still, there are some differences in the installations between the ISOs. The one significant difference that I know of is the usage of UUIDs in Overlord. I will try the 2008.3 and just stab fstab to use UUIDs myself. But what I'd like to know is if there are any other new things in Overlord that I should be prepared to repair in the old release.

  • Burn ISO image not boot

Does any one have this experience? I tried to download PowerPC version Linux and FreeBSD ISO image to burn a CD or DVD disc in my MacBook Pro, using Disk Utility. But the disc cannot boot on my old iBook. I tried many disc including DVD-R, CD-R and CD-RW. All are not work. After that, I tried to use Toast to do it. That's OK. I am sure that the download ISO is correct with checksum. But I am not sure it is problem of MacBook Pro or Mac OS X 10.4.5. Any experience.

I have had a similar problem: burned iso images refuse to boot on my old iMac 333MHz machine. Occasionally I have gotten lucky, and my burned disc boots. Usually, it spins up several times and then the computer gives up and boots to the default system.
The problem, I believe, is that my system was put out before cd writers were common on apple hardware and so it doesn't recognise burned discs unless I follow very strict ISO9660 rules: I think Toast is better about following these rules.

  • Burnt ISO image not recognised by Windows Vista

Can somebody please help me with my ISO problem.
I have some windows software stored as an ISO file. I've burnt the file to a DVD using Magic ISO and according to magic ISO the burn completed fine. If I then view the contents of the DVD using OS X then it looks as I'd expect, as a DVD containing windows software including the autorun file.
However whenever I boot up my virtual Windows Vista maching via Parallels desktop and then insert the disk, Vista informs me that the disk is blank and if I view the contents of the DVD using windows explorer then again the disk is Blank.
I've tried burning the ISO image 3 times, twice with Magic ISO and once with some free ISO shareware (I forget the name) each time the burn is successful and OS X recognises it but Windows thinks the DVD is blank. I've also tried the disk on a friends PC running XP and the disk appears blank there also.
This problem is driving me crazy, any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Good morning,
What type of disc are you trying to burn, data or movie?
If you already have an ISO you might consider using Disk Utility to make your DVD, it has rarely failed me! You can do this by going to Macintosh HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility, drag and drop the ISO onto a blank area of the left hand panel and then select the image and 'Burn' from the top left icon.
    Hope this helps! 

  • Iso image not wanting to mount

is anyone else having problems getting a iso image to mount and burn in disc utility. I am trying to burn a linux distro. It kicks back with a error saying unable to mount

I'd try mounting a different ISO file. A file can get damaged during the download, or even during it's creation. If you have a problem with more than one file, then maybe you have a system or user problem that can be addressed.
Maybe if you provide a link to the distro someone will download it and check the file and see if it burns. Every file is different.

  • Raw images not readable by lightroom or CS3 from 5d mkii

Just got my new 5d mkii and went out to shoot my first images with it.  Capturing RAW only I shot 88 frames at Crater Lake.  When I got home I went through my normal procedures for downloading my images with Lightroom and it did not recognize the file type and could not process the images.  Tried getting the images up using photoshop cs3 and it also did not recognize the image type.  Finally I installed the Canon DPP software on the computer and the images showed up.  I was able to move the images from DPP to photoshop finally, but they transferred as TIFF files, not RAW.
Does anybody have an idea as to what might be going wrong?  I have used the same procedures with my 40D with no problems at all.
ANy help will be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you,
    David

Lightroom 2 was released before the 5D2.  You might have to (or want to) upgrade to Lightroom 4.  I found this out the hard way.  I had LR3, and then bought the 6D and learned that LR3 will NEVER support 6D camera raw.
There were ways to get around it, but all were fiddly and I really wanted it to work the way it is supposed to, without any cobbled-together extra/external steps, so I bought the upgrade.  I was very pleased with LR 4 vs. LR3, so you may be very very happy to get an upgrade from LR1 to LR4.  Much better at noise reduction and general processing is improved overall.  The upgrade price is only about $79.00, compared to the stand-alone new purchase price of about $120.00.
    Good luck.

  • Usb iso image not read

i successfully installed boot camp on my apple macbook air the setup initiated but the system was unable to futher install as it could not recognize the hard drive format i restarted the mac now it shows the error no portable device please insert boot disc but when i insert the disc (the usb drive) and press any key it does not respond

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
From what you say, you may have formatted the wrong partition during setup, so you may have lost OS X.
To check whether you have any operating system installed on your Mac, first turn it off. Then, turn it on and hold the Option (Alt) key until your Mac shows all bootable volumes. Tell me the names of the options you see.

  • Canon Powershot images not readable

I have a client who uses a Canon Powershot A560. The jpgs taken by the camera can't be read on my Mac. I've noticed that others have this problem, too, but I haven't found a solution. I've had the client use the Image Browser utility that comes with the camera to export the images to different formats, but none of those can be read, either.
What is Canon doing to the images that causes them to deviate from standard file format? Is there a utility of some sort that I can use on my Mac to read them?
I've reviewed Canon's support areas but can't find a solution. Since I don't own the camera, I can't get tech support, either. Thanks for any tips.

Rather than blame Canon I would suspect a single dodgy camera. Can these pics be read on any Machine? Mac or Windows?

  • Images not readable once burned to dvd

    Hello,
After I burn images to a dvd, there is 1 image that doesn't load and forces the window to close down, bringing me back to my desktop.  When I open the image from my desktop, it opens the preview window no problem.  It's only after I burn it to dvd that I can't view it and something is causing it to close down.  It's bizarre that it only happens to one image.  This issue has happened a few times.  Also, I regularly get the error message that doesn't allow me to verify the

I tried burning it at 2x and this worked.  (I was burning at 4x.)  I can see all images now.

  • ISO Image Problem

I purchased a legit copy of XP SP2 from my university and it came as a downloaded ISO image file. I then burned the contents of this file to a cd in hopes to use bootcamp, but when i get to the point where it wants me to put in the install cd, it does not recognize my windows cd. i'm not sure what to do? anoyone else having this problem?

Using that process won't burn the ISO image correctly, all you are doing is making a copy of the ISO image, not actually burning the image itself.
Try using Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility
You should be able to get Disk Utility to correctly burn the image.
Otherwise you are going to need to get some disk burning software (or ask a friend to burn the image for you).

  • Windows 8.1, BootCamp does not find the ISO image.

When I try to install Windows 8.1, BootCamp does not find the ISO image.
I purchased Windows 8.1 Pro, I downloaded the .exe requested file from a Windows computer, performed the steps recommended by Microsoft in order to create the ISO file saving it on a flash drive as well and, as a precaution, on a DVD too.
I performed the "Download the latest Windows Support Software from Apple" step directly into another flash drive and having it completed BootCamp displays the following message:
"The installer disc could not be found  –  Insert the Windows installer disc and wait a few seconds for the disc to be recognized. "
So happens that I have tried this using the DVD, pendrive and also copying the ISO file to the desktop and to the "Documents" folder as recommended in certain websites, but none of this has made the process go ahead. What can I do?
My equipment is a mid 2011 iMac running Mac OSX 10.10.1.

    Dear Loner T,
thanks to my coworker, the solution was unpacking from that ISO file which I had recorded (according to the steps indicated by Microsoft), but now using Nero software (Windows) and then recording by the most common way in a new DVD. See the screen of the first DVD before unpacking:
This true saga only demonstrated that the generated ISO file as an option at the time of the Windows installation, is not for direct installation through BootCamp, and as a I could check, even for direct installation on a Windows PC. See the last DVD burned using Nero and  again recorded:
The execution of BootCamp, was perfect
Thank you for attention to my problem!

  • Iso image playing in windows, but not in mac

torrent site for the iso image is:
    http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/119383481/ccie?tab=summary#.UGby8mg1FFI
it's a cisco network concept tutorial, it is playing on a windows laptop on windows xp, vista or 7.
I understand that wmv player cannot be played in mac osx, there is a suggestion to run either wine or flip4mac
wine, i am so sorry to be a pain but I get keep getting error messages during installation and it is not successful.
flip4mac I was able to install but I can't seem to make the iso work,
it mounts perfectly displaying 3 files:
    autorun.inf
    files
    index.hta
clicking index.hta will display the website with all the lessons on the left side, click on it and it will play the video on the website, it works on windows but I can't seem to make it work in Safari.
I tried Opera, the website seems to appear but not all of the words, when I click for the lessons on the left side, it only opens an opera browser on a black blank browser.
Please help since I have just shifted to Mac this month, I tried Mac because I believe I can run GNS3 better in it.
    Pardon for my MAC ignorance,
    from your MAC noob.

It reformatted itself? I've never heard of that before.
Like I said earlier, if the iPod is Windows formatted it should work on a Mac because Macs are capable of handling FAT32 files. If it's Mac formatted it won't work on Windows without the aid of 3rd party add on software.
I'm still puzzled as to whether or not you need to sync the iPod to iTunes on both Mac and Windows computers.
    Have you seen these?
iPod doesn't appear in iTunes or on the Mac desktop.
iPod does not appear in iPod Updater or iTunes in Mac OS X.
iPod appears on the Mac OS X desktop but not in iTunes.

  • CS4 unable to place image ERROR: The file is not readable

    Hi All,
I have been experiencing big issues with Illustrator CS4 and placing images into a document.
Basically I will be working on say a packaging project and after about the 4th image being placed I will get the error message The file is not readable I select OK (the only option available)
RESULT: no file placed no where to go?
I then have to save the document, close Illustrator, re-open, open the document and then the image will usually place (not always first time though and sometimes I will have to reboot the whole system!) but then the 5th, 6th, 7th image after that I have to follow the same procedure!... The image files are fine, 300ppi, 20-30MB max, PSD, TIFF, JPG dose not matter all follow the same issue... but eventually after a lot of rebooting and loading the so called un-readable files will go into the document.
Also the image will place sometimes but the same error message will appear on attempting to embed the image!
All very annoying and massively time consuming!!!
To top it off since the above, random AI files when loading up will crash Illustrator out... again after a reboot the same file will open fine with no problems???
    My system:
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit)
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (quad core)
    RAM: 6GB
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 (3GB) (Dual monitor)
    DVD/CDR
    PRIMARY: ATA 500MB
    SECONDARY: ATA 1Tb
Im desperate to get this sorted... other wise its back to my old system... slow but reliable!!
    Many Thanks!!

Well, I just encountered the same issue using Illustrator CS5...getting the "The File Is Not Readable" error message...first time that's happened in the 14 years of using the program. It seems the file size was too large for Illustrator (or one of my computers) to handle. So I opened the file using one of my other computers and deleted the unused layers to reduce the file size. Originally, there were 6 layers with 3 different versions of the artwork and what I ended up having to do is create 3 separate files rather than having it all in 1.
    Hope this helps!
