Blurred grid background (screenshots inside)

A picture probably describes it best, since I can't figure out how to put this into words. It's started showing up on all of my images over the past few weeks, but goes away once the images are exported. Any ideas? Thank you!

I got the exact same problem and it's only with my 5DmkII and Aperture setup. 1DsMkIII and 1Dmk4 works great. 5DmkII and capture one/Lightroom also works great. I have only tested these setups on my mid2010 Macbook Pro but in two versions of os X 10.6.6 and os X 10.7 Lion and the "mesh" is visible in both versions but only when the whole picture is shown, when i zoom it's gone. The mesh changes in size depending on my view mode so it seems to be proportional to the picture and changes in size with it.

  • Particle detection with grid background

I am attempting to detect cells in an image from a microscope, but the problem is that a grid background exists which prevents the typical thresholding method to work. I have tried using a low pass filter to remove the grid pattern, but in order to filter out the grid completely, the cells become too blurred. An example image is attached. Is there any function to filter away the grid while keeping the cells in focus?
There are also light patterns on the image, but a color plane extraction already removes their intrusion on thresholding.
The ideas mentioned in the thread below may help to detect the cells after the grid has been removed.

    Hello Tiraken,
One potential solution is to take an image of the grid without any cell then subtract all images with the template.

  • Scheduling one background job inside another

    Hi All,
Is it possible to Scheduling one background job inside another.? i.e In my Z program I am calling job_open, job_submit, job_close and to execute one standard report in background. And after that I am executing my Z program itself  from SE38 as Program->Execute->Background->Execute Immediately. Is this logically correct? I am asking this because I am not getting the desired result
    Thanks & Regards,

    HI,
Check the job steps in SM36.
First schedule the Standard job and in the job steps schedule the z report.

  • Removing grey-and-white grid background?

    Hey ,
I installed Acrobat 9 Pro, version 9.4.1, one week ago. Since then, in every opened pdf-document appers an grey-and-white-grid-background (see figure below).  Normally, I would expect a white background, which I get under this setting only, if I change the background manually to white. How can I change this setting, to get the normally white background as a default? Support is warmly welcome - training_needed

  • How to put gaussian blur in background of portrait in PSE 8

I have just spent four hours trying to blur the background of a portrait. Should be a simple task but something goes wrong.  I make a duplicate layer, but when I try to gaussian blur the layer, it just goes to checkerboard.  And the preview screen for gaussian blur goes black.  Am I doing something wrong, or is there a glitch with the program?

    Hi,
Are you creating two different layers of main object and background... Also make sure that appropriate transparency is porvided in each layer...

  • How to blur the background, CS6 (64 bit)

    I am new to photoshop.
I want to blur the background of some image to use them on by blog
    how to do this quickly

It's more tricky than it sounds.
First of all you need to select the main subject and place that on a separate layer on top. Then you also need to knock out the same from the underlying layer, otherwise it will contribute to the blur.
Second, none of the blur tools in Photoshop give a credible result. It doesn't look blurred as much as viewed through frosted glass. Even the lens blur filter gives this frosted glass effect. A proper lens blur is a very complex optical phenomenon, and to create that illusion in software requires very sophisticated mathematics.
There is a plugin from Alien Skin that is the most convincing I've seen to date, it used to be called Bokeh but is now apparently called Exposure with some added functions. Even so, use very carefully and sparingly; it's no magic bullet. Nothing's worse than easily spotted slapped-on effects.

  • Can you blur the background with Touch for phone

Can you blur the background with Touch for phone.  Can you give images a depth of field look

you can using the selection tools and blur option, but no image editor will ever be as good as a camera app with this function built in.

I'm using Lightroom cc, I'm trying to create a develop preset. I'm making changes to one photo that I want to apply to many other photos, one of the changes is to blur the background using the adjustment brush. When I am blurring I am going over the photo several times, when I go to create the preset the adjustment brush is not an option to check. How do I add the adjustment brush to the develop presets. Thanks Ron.

The adjustment brush cannot be added to a develop preset.
If you can replace the adjustment brush with a gradient filter or radial filter, you can add those to a dev preset.
If a gradient filter or radial filter is not an option for you, you can at least create an adjustment preset to remember your brush settings.

  • How do I keep the little hair strands visible when blurring the background?

I am trying to blur the background of a portrait, what's the easiest way to keep all the little hair strands in focus but keep the background blurred?
    M:)

In Photoshop CS5, this can be done with great precision using the smart radius option in the Refine Edge dialog.
In PSE, you can make a selection first using a soft brush around the hair. If the color of the hair doesn't vary much, you can also try using the Magic Selection brush.

Any suggestions on how to remove an "aura" from around a selection in an image?  I shoot pictures at rodeos.  To make the rider stand out, I create a mask around the rider and then blur the background with Gaussian Blur.  This results in a noticeable blur around the outside of the selection.  I have tried using Feathering as well as other Refine Edge Tools.  The only thing that works is to go around the edge with the Clone Tool.  This is time consuming and not totally successful.  So, my two big questions are: (1) Is there a better (simpler) way to avoid the aura? and (2) If not, is there a way to remove the aura that is simpler??
    Thanks in Advance,

Sorry, what with the long title I had neglected the body of the message and your statement
The only thing that works is to go around the edge with the Clone Tool. This is time consuming and not totally successful.
seems to answer my first question.
Did you do that before or after blurring?
Have you alternatively tried using Content Aware Fill?

    Hi Kevin
I found a YouTube clip explaining how to blur the background with free draw bezier tool and it also said to invert the mask, but it still does not track forward. I really hope there is a solution.

  • How to blur the background behind the AIR application?

Dear fellow developers and Adobe gurus,
With the BlurFilter, I can easily blur everything inside of
    an AIR application.
But, figure this for a moment: I'll have an application with
some sort of transparent background, which results in all the items
and programs behind the AIR application shining through. Further
imagine that I have some kind of blurred background in my
application from which I want the UI components to stick out nicely
    and sharply.
But here's the suprise: no matter how I blur the contents of
my AIR application, everything behind the app stays sharp and
    crystal clear.
Now my idea of the whole picture is that the Flash Player
somehow "hands through the application" what is behind it when
system chrome is off and transparency mode is on, but it only seems
to "pipe" it through without applying any effects/filters to it.
So, my question is: is there a good reason for this (maybe it
would be a serious performance and/or platform alignment issue), is
there a workaround (like "plugging into" the piped stream of
background information), or will there some first-hand solution in
    the future?
    Best regards
    C.

Thanks a lot for this quick, plausible, and clarifying
    answer.
I feared it was something like that... it leaves me a wee
    disappointed.
I was hoping to be able to create some sleek blur effects in
the background of my application with AIR...
With the fullscreen capabilities of the Flash Player in mind,
I was also hoping it was possible to create some kind of fullscreen
blur-fade effect, with all the other items fading/blurring to black
when turning my app into fullscreen mode. Something like the effect
of the Steam Media Player, if you happen to know that. But since
that is built upon the Windows Media Player, I already feared that
it would be something specific to WMP in combination with the OS.
I also understand that it would be very difficult to achieve
a similar effect with something like screenshots since it is almost
impossible to do that real time.
Is there any faint chance that AIR/the Flash Player might be
able to do something like filtering/affecting what is shown behind
    the app in the future?
    Best regards
    C.

  • Can I use mask tracking to blur my background?

There is a help video " How to blur a moving face" at How to blur a moving face with masking and tracking | Adobe Premiere Pro CC tutorials  I need to do the opposite. I want the background of a "talking head" video to be blurred and the speaker to be in focus. Is this possible with Premiere?

You don't actually need two video layers, because you can just apply a masked blur to a clip, then *invert* the mask so that everything *outside* the mask is blurred, and everything inside the mask is unaffected. Here are the steps in detail:
    1) apply the Blur filter (whichever one you want) to the clip.
    2) In the Effects Controls pane, turn the disclosure triangle for the Blur filter and click one of the mask buttons (the oval is probably best for this situation). Drag and resize the mask so it covers the person's face. Feather it as needed (probably not very much in this situation, or you'll get a weird halo-like effect).
    3) Back in the Effects Controls pane, under the the Blur filter controls, you'll now see a new option: "Mask (1)". Open those controls and check off "Inverted," so that when you apply the blur, it will apply to the area *outside* the mask, instead of the inside.
    4) Turn the Blurriness up until you get the look you want.
    5) (You can do this earlier, if you want) - but you have to track the mask so it moves with the person who's moving. To do this, start at the first frame of video. Make sure the mask fits well over the person at that frame. Then click the "Track selected mask forward" button (it looks like a regular triangular play button). It'll step through all the frames and adjust the mask on each frame. If it loses the person, just stop on that frame, adjust the mask, and track forward from there.

  • Alv grid background column headings

    HI EVERYONE,
I was able to execute the ALV grid report in background .But columns heading is reeating for
    each page.
Can't we just just have the Column Headings once for all pages.?

For the IS_LAYOUT parameter it is possible to set NO_COLHEAD = 'X'. Then the header is gone. Then you have to create first line in table with texts. But then all fields must be character fields.
    Regards
    Roy
