Blurred Images....

When I connect to one person all is cool. When I add a 3rd person, the sound is clear, the image is not choppy, however when the 3rd person is added all the images get blurred. While this 3 person chat is up on my screen, they are both blurred, however the small picture of myself at the bottom of this three way chat is clear. But, if I go to the top of the ichat window (with the listing of all my buddies) and I click on my own camera so I can see my picture as well as microphone bar, my picture there is now blurred. Considering that picture is coming from my computer and not going thru a connection; this problem does not appear to be from a bad connection. Has anyone else seen this before, or know how to correct it?

Wow,
So since I have a dual G5 with a 2ghz processor its not fast enough?
I have heard others who have much slower macs not have this problem, and I never have the full size preview open, always use the smallest one.
I do appreciate your comment, but considering I only had ichat open at the time of this problem this would indicate that its a bug with ichat, or somehow the internet connection (more likly) that was the cause; considering I do massive video importing and DVD creation with other applications without any problems.

Blurred Images in ePub export to Kindle.
I am using InDesign to create the ePub. My images are stock charts. All charts are high resolution in InDesign. No issues with images in InDesign. When I view the ePub in Adobe Digital Edition and in Kindle Previewer the images are blurred as if they lost the high resolution setting.
The images are all jpeg. This is book 1 of 25 books with 34 chart images per book. Any ideas on a solution is appreciated.

Your confusion seems to lay with the "Display Performance" in InDesign.
InDesign's display performance is only important to InDesign.
When you place a file into InDesign it doesn't place the actual image. It creates a proxy (thumbnail) of the image to be viewed in the layout only.
InDesign links to files - to see the true resolution of an image you need to go the Window>Info and select the image and the information is visible in the Info panel.
InDesign comes with 3 flavours of preview of the thumbnails it creates, Fast, Typical and High - these 3 viewing settings are only to give you a flavour, Fast shows you a gray box and there's an image there, Typical shows a lo-res proxy, and High shows a high quality thumbnail version of your image.
These are not reflective of the true quality of the images.
All your images are PNG which are perfectly fine to place in InDesign - you are actually losing quality in your images by converting everything to JPEG - as JPEG is a lossy file format - where as PNG is lossless.
JPEG is much better for photographs (actual photos with lots of colour information)
PNG is much better for solid blocks of colour and for Charts, Diagrams, line Drawings, Screenshots - PNG is preferred over JPEG.
But all this changing to High Resolution in InDesign before Output does nothing reflective in the Output.
The true quality of your images lies in the Information within the file - which is visible on Window>Info

  • Light Table - blurred images (bug)

As per this previous thread (https://discussions.apple.com/message/12871298#12871298), which has now been archived, I've found that zooming all images on a Light Table (using the slider) results in larger, but completely blurred images.
The images themselves are fine in preview, and if you choose a single image on the Light Table and drag its corner to make it larger, then it scales up just fine - greater resolution as it grows.
I have submitted a bug report through the Aperture menu, and I would encourage everyone others to do the same if they're experiencing this.
    G

I have already reported the bug (as per your linked thread).
Of note is that I was at the local University Village Apple store here in Seattle last weekend and confirmed this bug on the best 27" iMac (current model) they had in the store using the sample library in AP3.
That machine had the ATI graphics chip and my machine has the nVidia 8800 GT, so I at least verified it is not specific to my hardware.
Dragging images onto the light table displayed the same 'low quality' thumbnail issue I have seen since updating from AP 3.0.2 to 3.1.x.
Scaling the images up seemed to improve the image quality, but this then utilizes too much viewable area of the light table to use for real layout option work (even on the 27" screen at Apple store).
Here is the thread I posted as well in case anyone has interest in the troubleshooting I have already tried:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/13298420#13298420
Thanks for bringing this up again.
Still waiting for someone to actually post that it works correctly for them at all thumbnail sizes in the Light Table function using AP 3.1.x.
I will also send another bug report and include my test at Apple store in the report.

  • Blurred images in search iPhone option after in iOS 8.1

Yesterday i was shocked when i saw blurred images while using iPhone Search option. i tried 4-5 times but there was no improvement, after restart it was working fine

I read in other post with user having error 56 the solution is to take the phone to the Apple store as it is a hardware issue.
You can search error 56 at the top right and you'll see the other thread on error 56.

  • After new update my iphone 5 rear camera started giving blur images

After I updated with new software my phone's back camera started giving blur images and video.
tried switching off and reset as well but no use.

Back up and restore via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a new device and test. If the problem is solved, there is some kind of corruption in your backup file or maybe it's one of your apps causing problems. If it continues, take it to an Apple Store for evaluation of a possible hardware problem.

  • My iPhone 5 camera gives a blurred image when taking photos with the device, how can i fix that

i have had my iPhone 5 for almost a year now and have been suffering from this problem for quiet a while now, when taking pictures with my iPhone 5 the result is a blurred image, i dont know why the focus of the image is so bad !

MAke sure teh problem is not do to camera shake by holding it firmly on a solid surface and taking a picture of something in the 10-20 foot range.  If that rules out shake, and the image is blurred, take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar and have it examined.  Backup all of your content in iCloud in case the verdict is a replaement iPhone, they can resore your content from an iCloud backup.

  • Blurred image of hit and run truck

    Hi everybody,
This isn’t your regular community topic discussion but I’m hoping someone out there can help me with a blurred image.  The picture is of the truck that scraped up the back of my Honda and then ran off—a hit and run.  Fortunately no one was hurt and I was able to get a picture of the person after a bit of a chase, but upon looking at the picture it’s so blurred I can’t get a clear license plate or even the first few letters/numbers to report the hit and run.
ANY and ALL help is so appreciated.  I’m more upset that the person didn’t have the decency to stop after knowing she/he had hit my car.  It’s quite disheartening that some people have no respect for other’s property.
Thank you in advance = )
    -M.R.

You might try FocusMagic (www.focusmagic.com). The picture is probably too much for it to handle and it apears to be rather small to pull out the license number, but I believe you can run it in demonstration mode, without purchase, to see if it makes enough of an improvement. It has been awhile since I purchased it and don't remember about "demo mode".
It does reduce motion blur and you can adjust the direction of movement adjustment as well as the amount. There is a preview window. Be sure to work on a copy of the original file.
    Best of luck.

  • Logitech Vision Pro - blurred image

At the end of last year I posted on here trying to resolve a problem of people seeing very blurred images of me in iChat. I gave up eventually but have since contacted Logitech who suggested I try it on another machine. I tried it as an alternative to the built in iSight on my MacBook Pro and the results are a vast improvement.
My PowerMac and Macbook Pro are both running 10.5.7 and iChat 4.0.8. The PowerMac gives dreadful images, the MacBook Pro is fine. So what does iChat on the laptop have that makes it work as expected?
(Results at my end look fine on both machines.)

    Yep.
You can try this on trial first
    http://www.ecamm.com/mac/powerboost/
    It may help.
One clue might be to look at the Activity Monitor and see what the CPU usage is for iChat, iChatAgent and vcencoder (Lower case) during a Video Chat (Or Preview) and see if they seems to be large differences between the two computers
iChat 4 "pushes" some of the video production for iChat to the Video card.
Technically it is the Video card that prevents Backdrops on PowerMac computers but as these can be updated on Towers and some Built to Order options the Processor level is used as the controlling factor (Intels Only)

  • Iphone 6 128 camera freezes...sometimes with a blurred image and sometimes just freezes black.  I have to reboot phone to get past the frozen camera screen.  It happens several times a day.

I go to take a photo and the camera either shows repetitive blurred image or is just black.   The entire iPhone 6 128 is locked in the camera freeze.  The only way to use the phone is to shut off power and reboot.  Is anyone having this problem on the iPhone 6?

i have been having the same problem today. I have however narrowed it down further: when I am zoooming in on a shot, take the shot, then slide to another mode like from a still shot to video  (without uzooming),= freezing. I am taking my iPhone back to apple to see what they say if I don't an answer on the forums here. Not happy with this btw!

  • Photoshop blurs image when opening jpeg from Nikon

    Hi
My photoshop in CS6 blurs an image when opening a Jpeg this only happens on my own devices, so for example if the photo is taken on nikon DSLR, ipad or iphone. any other image, i.e. stock and downloaded and its fine.
I just cant figure out what the problem is, but essentially all my photos are uneditable because of the blurring. can any help?
    Many thanks

If OpenGL drawing is disabled, then the video driver isn't too likely.  Most of the problems in drivers show up with OpenGL drawing enabled.
But printer drivers and fonts can sometimes cause issues.
And there's always a chance that the video driver is failing at something simple (like drawing a menu or cursor).

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1515n - Out of alignment, ghosting or blurred image.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope someone, possibly a member of HP staff is able to provide a solution for a problem with a Color LaserJet CP1515n printer, which has being asked quite a number of times, without a satisfactory solution, other than to replace the rather expensive toner cartridges, even if they are still usable for months after the page count is gone to zero. Where is the sense for the protection of our environment in that, having to replace near full cartridges??? I purchase only original and genuine HP cartridges, but I refuse to discard a near full unit, simply because the counter says so.
Now to the issue at hand:
    Printer: HP CP1515n, model CC377A
    Firmware: date code 20080813
    Operating system Windows 7 Professional
Printer used as a shared network printer and runs daily through the calibration routine when switched on.
Issue present with all connected PC's, also running Windows 7.
Problem: Currently it is impossible to print pages without a blurred edge on the right hand side of an A4 page. Alignment appears to be correct on the left hand side of the page. Was able to print Diagnostics Pages ( two), which shows a parameter settings matrix from 01 to 27 and A to X and there is also a second page with a large number of squares in colors, which also show the mis-alignment.
As the "ToolboxFX" program, which is mentioned numerous times in the support pages, is not supported in Windows 7 anymore, the user has to make do with the web interface of the printer, which allows for a range of settings as well. I assume this web interface does not support the adjustment all settings on the printer.
From the diagnostics page, I assume it might be possible to adjust the parameters set out in the parameters matrix, shown in the middle of the page. I would like to know, how can this be done or at least re-set, as I think these parameters show how askew the image is printing?
I might be wrong, but I'm not convinced this mis-alignment issue is simply down to the cartridges.
Looking forward to a reply or any suggestions.
    Thank you very much.

Thanks for letting me know James_LAG.
At this point it does look like a hardware issue with the printer. Please call our technical support and inquire about a replacement printer, at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Contact HP.

  • Blurred image with HD webcam - despite good intern...

I have a Logitech HD Pro webcam C920, but the image is blurred at the reciever.
My own image I can see on my computer is fine, and the contact's image is ok, but the reciever tells me, that the image is blurred - meaning not sharp.
The reciever is a professional and have really high tech equipment, so the problem is not there.
My internet speed is 21 mbps download and 2,1 upload. When I call one of my own computers to check the quality it looks fine, but the reciever in Denmark (I'm calling from US) tells me the image is blurred.
I've installed the latest driver. I have professional lighting. The processor and RAM at my computer is more than required by the Logitech requirements. I use high-speed USB port.
    The camera is on auto-fokus.
So I'm beginning to get frustrated. Is there a setting I'm missing?
    Thanks.

Have you tried to make a video call to another contact?
2 mbps upload speed is not much for HD quality with Logitech c920 webcam. My own experience with this webcam is that you need at least 5 mbps upload speed. With 2 mbps you can not expect better resolution than 640x360.
Next time you are on a call, open the Call menu and select Call Technical Info. Watch the actual download/upload speed and your video resolution. Be aware that bandwidth speed in Call Technical Info is in kB/s (kiloBytes per second), so you need to multiply it by 8 in order to compare with your Internet connection speed (1 kiloByte= 8 kilobits)

  • Blurred images when using photoshop to edit I-photo

    Hi
I set my iphoto up so photoshop is the editor of choice. but whenever i go to edit an image, even with it being crystal clear, it blurs when opened in photoshop.
I cannot find this problem online at all, can anyone help?

But what size are you setting them at?
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
If you're using Raw then in the iPhoto Preferences -> Advanced, elect to use Raw with your External editor
You cannot save a Raw. The work you do must be output to a new file, in a new format (jepg, tiff, whatever). However, as the External Editor is making this new file iPhoto has no knowledge of its existence. Therefore you *must save it to the desktop and then import it back to iPhoto as a new file*.
This means that you will have your Original Raw and the processed version in iPhoto but they will not be recognised as version and original. iPhoto will see them as two separate shots.

  • Blurred images in signature

    Hi All,
Im wondering if anyone else has come across this problem, and has come up with  a solution, because its really starting to get frustrating. Basically we have an email signature with some text and a 500 + 40px logo in bmp format (about 40k in size). As soon as the signature is sent through exchange however, the image becomes very blurred and pixelated. Weve tried sending it through other mail servers (googlemail) and it works fine. Ive crawled the internet looking for answer, and ive tried changing the format, and using a remote image on our web server, nothing seems to work.  Has anyone else come across this problem before? any ideas as to a solution?
our mail server is exchange 2003 sp2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Ricardino,
How about you paste a random picture into the email and send it? Will it become blurred?
You said you even used a remote image on the web server, it doesn't work. It looks like it's a client side issue... Have you tried change a client and test the issue again?
    thanks,
    Elvis
