Blurred PDF

Just Installed Creative Cloud Acrobat XI. I know there was a problem 2013 with the retina display compatibility. When I got to those threads, the latest post was early 2014. Has there been any update for 15" Retina Display IOS Yosemite MacBooks? It's very annoying to pay for Creative Cloud while the only option is to view with "Preview", stock APP on IOS.
Sorry if this has been asked before or solved.
Cheers!

Hi cmichny,
Yes, this issue has been mitigated in the newer update of Acrobat.
Please refer this KB doc and check:

  • PDF shows in safari 5.1, text is blurred out.

    Hi all,
I've been having the problem of safari not showing pdf's, this is partially solved now. But since I've followed the steps on another thread here,
I can see the pictures in a pdf, but not the text. The text seems to be blurred out as shown in the picture below :
Another awkward issue is that when I open the same pdf in Google Chrome, de pdf shows normally, but when I try to open the pdf from chrome in preview, the same blurred text appears.
    Any solutions?

Did the person that made the PDF use Word for Windows to make the PDF?* It's now possible to make PDFs directly from Word with File > Save As but one of the default options, "Bitmap text when fonts may not be embedded", makes the text (by now a graphic) unreadable in Preview or the built-in Safari view. I don't know if this is Microsoft's fault for making the bitmaps in a strange way, or Apple's fault for having a bug in Preview.
    * You could always find out by opening the PDF in Preview and doing Tools > Show Inspector

  • When I try to print to a PDF from any program images are blurred

I try to print to PDF using word, or any other program. The resulting PDF is clear for text and all but the images are blurred.
Could There be a reason for this and how do I fix it?   I am using the print preset when printing.
    Thanks,
    Mark

You're right, if a workaround works it's good.  I don't use pdf's much either, usually just to send images if the receiver is on a PC as I work on a Mac. I had to send an image to a printer for a brochure so I tried to send a press quality pdf. I ended up sending a tif. I tried the Adobe posting to see someone had experience with this problem before calling my computer technician-at a cost. Your comment about fonts and locations prompted me to check files and read the window details more carefully, not just click continue.
So thanks, you really were very helpful.  Robert

  • Blurred Text in PDF Form

Created a form by converting a pre-existing PDF to a form-fillable one using Acrobat Pro.
The form-fillable PDF was created fine.
In editing the form, I changed the text fields to allow multiple lines of text.
Saved the form as a new PDF filename
When filling out the form using Reader, most fields allow for text wrapping to multiple lines.
At the bottom of the form, several fields allow text entry, but then blur the text both when filling the fields, when printing, and after saving under a new file name.
    Ideas, suggestions, etc.?

Now that I said that, I should revise it to "...it most likely would have happened when you edited the field..." as I recall working on a form sent to me by someone else who had added field using the Form Wizard, and there were duplicated fields, so I suppose it is possible that Acrobat automatically added them.

  • How can I fix my Firefox browser so that PDF files from the Internet do not blur and go out of focus?

When I try to open a PDF document from the Internet, it opens, with sharp resolution; however, within a few seconds, it blurs and seems to have multiple copies being shown on top of each other (ever so slightly mis-aligned). Yet, when I use any other browser, the document opens without losing sharpness.
Also, opening a saved PDF document in Adobe Reader does not cause any loss of sharpness.
Running updated Windows XP; Adobe Reader updated; and Firefox updated.

Firefox's built-in PDF viewer overlays a transparent layer of text over a graphical image so you can copy/paste. It doesn't always line up pixel-perfectly, so if the text is not transparent for some reason, you will see double text.
Could you try switching to the Adobe Acrobat plugin? This article has the steps: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]]. Does that one work correctly?

  • Indesign to PDF. Logo appears blurred after exporting to PDF.

I have a png and jpeg logo that appears fine in my indesign doc but when I export to PDF the image is blurred and has a white line around the logo edge as if the image is bleeding into the page.
The png and jpeg logo file (I have tried both versions) is 4x4 inches and 300 dpi. I am a loss at to what the problem is. I have tried smooth line art in the Adobe preferences.. but nothing works there.
Is there a standard setting for Indesign and Adobe (in terms of output) that would help resolve this issue.. ? Any ideas greatly appreciated...

Hi. Thanks for stepping in with some advice. I'm actually exporting at print quality so avoiding the low resolution pdf issue but the logo has a transparent background and is a png file. Would it help if I resaved it as a vector file? Any further advice would be welcome. It looks 100% fine in Indesign but just my exporting to PDF makes the logo look terrible. Thanks again..

  • Indesign CS5 - png images blur in interactive PDF

I use CS5 to create client documents and beginning to learn how to make PDF documents interactive.  We use .png files which export to PDF (print) with no problem either on screen or when printed, but when the same file is exported to PDF (interactive) the images are blurred both on the screen and when printed.  The png files are created in Photoshop. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem and have sharp images in interactive PDFs???  I'm hoping its something basic and easy!

    Hi Eugene
Many thanks for your suggestion.  I've tried it and it works and glad it was something simple

  • Pdf displays type as blur - Urgent Help Needed

    Hi All
I have a serious probem, my client is sending PDF files in which text appears as blurred stripes.
I need to edit in Adobe Illustrator but that displays the same problem, so it seems to be an OS issue.  My wife has a macbook pro running 10.8.3 and that displays fine (I don't have Illustrator on her Mac though).
Not sure what Mac os my client is on.  Any Ideas??
I'll try to add a screen shot., blocks of colour should be 3 paragraphs of black text, each with 4 lines. And a header text in blue
    Thanks

    Hi Bob,
    Thanks for your reply.
What I'm concerned about is the crispness of my full-page images. Am I right in assuming with a PDF folio, static images won't be as crisp? Is there a way to maintain its sharpness?

Just upgraded to Mavericks. Now I cannot access scans from my hp scanner. After it complete the scans and I try to save as tiff, jpeg or pdf I get a either a grey blur or a message that says cannot save because the file cannot be written to. I did not have any problems before the upgrade. I would greatly appreciate any light shed on this.

Go to the HP site and look for drivers for your scanner. It apparently needs an updated driver to work with Mavericks.

  • Photo Book: Blur images in A3 and in a PDF

    Hi everyone,
I'm making a photobook in A3, and I have a problem in it.
My pictures are in high-resolution. When I import them in my photobook, they become very blur, and it's the same things when I export my book as PDF in order to have a preview.
I don't know how to resolv this problem, if it's a bug from A3 or something else, but I'm affraid to order the book and to have a bad suprise when I will receive it.
    Jonathan

Something strange: when I make a photobook in size XL, photos are perfect when I export as PDF.
But I want to do it in size L, and when I export my book as PDF in size L, photos are really bad quality...
    I don't understand.
Do we have to resize photos before insert them in the photobook? But there are différent size in a book, depending where we want to put photos (small square, full page...)

  • .PDF Files blurred in InDesign CC 2014. They will still work if I try to do the same in InDesign CC

.PDF Files blurred in InDesign CC 2014. They will still work if I try to do the same in InDesign CC. I prepare the original in microsoft word and save in a sub-directory as a .pdf. I then use the "Place" command to bring it into the document. Why does it work in CC by not in CC 2014?

Is it an InDesign only issue or does the problem exist when you export a PDF from InDesign?
Does it change when you change the display quality to high?
Why do you prepare a PDF in Word for placing in InDesign. Are you aware when trash comes in trash comes out? Place in InDesign text from Word and style it with Paragraph and Character Styles inside InDesign and export from InDesign a correct PDF.

If the issue with printing only, can you reproduce the issue with other printers? What if you print the out file using the lp command?

  • PDF Article Blur

Thank you to everyone who participates in this forum. It has really made a difference to me as I create my first dps app.
I have a question concerning the on-load blur and sharpen of pdf based articles on ipad (3).
I understand that this is expected behaviour, but I am experiencing delays of a much longer duration than 1-2 seconds. I have found no published apps that are anywhere near the lag I am experiencing. So I was wondering if the experience using Adobe Content Viewer might be different than after the app is actually published? I sure hope so!
If not, the lag is unacceptable. So short of using jpeg format, are there any suggestions for modifying? We have a large app (153MB) 14 articles with lots of MSO (most set to vector) and several in-app browser displays (html and pdf) plus 8 videos (1 per article). There is a lot of text, so PDF and vector give a much better experience if it weren't for the long blur.

In some cases, transparency effects create a longer load time in PDF articles. For the articles that experience exceptionally long load times, one option is to consider editing or removing the transparency effects.
Another option is to intersperse pages with memory-intensive overlays and static pages.
If these options don't work, using PNG articles instead of PDF avoids the load delay but frequently increases folio size (and pinch/zoom page is disabled).
