Blurred video

After burning the dvd my video has a motion blur. It does not appear to be blurred when i view it on my comp. I've tried burning at all the qualities but am still having the blurred appearance with my movie. Any suggestions?

  • Blur video frame with NI PCI-1411 and JAI CV M-300 camera (urgent problem)

    Hello,
I am new with Vision and I need some advice with a problem, which I encountered.
I have a computer with integrated  NI PCI-1411 board, which is connected to a JAI CV M-300 camera. I am measuring a steel part which is positioned in a dark chamber. The part is put on a glass board and is illuminated from underneath with light.
The part is moving. I have to measure this part when it reaches the camera region. I have made a test with not-moving part and everything is perfect. Now, when I move the part I get blur frames from video (with these no part measurement is possible). I need specify, that the camera has no trigger, so it makes video all the time (this video is later inspecting with Vision Builder).
I have tried to change parameters in MAX, but no involvement. I have found no proper icd/file for the camera.
I also could use a SONY DXC-950P camera, if this is better.
How can I eliminate the blur from video frames? Or what am I doing wrong? Is the camera not good enough? Camera + trigger would get better images.
I have attached the video frame with moving object (static) and the blur video frame with moving object (dynamic).
Please give me a answer or ideas as soon as possible.
    Thanks.

You are using an interlaced camera.  It takes half the picture (every other line), waits a split second, then takes the other half of the picture (the other lines).  When it puts the two images together, you can see the two positions it was in when the images were taken.
The best solution is to use a non-interlaced or progressive scan camera, which takes the entire image at one time.  The Sony might be this type of camera, since it has a P in its name.  I didn't look up the specs.
If you can't get the right kind of camera, your only other option is to use fields instead of frames.  One field is the half image taken at one time.  The image will be half the height of the original image, though, which can mess things up.
Another possibility is the reduce the resolution of the image.  If you take every other pixel in both directions, you will have a very clear image that is half the size of the original.  You can do this with Extract in LabVIEW, not sure if it is available in VBAI.

  • Pixelated blurred video in PE8 - another

I have learned more from this forum about various topics than from Adobe's help files.  Thanks to the folks who donate time and knowledge.
Now on to my problem - blurred video in PE8 timeline.  I was importing VOB files.  Based on advice in other threads, I converted VOB files to AVI and backtracked from QT 7.6.4 to 7.5.5, rendered timeline.  No help.  Specifics follow.
    Obtained MPEG_Streamclip 1.2.
Obtained QuickTimeMPEG2 (only version available from Apple is 7.60.902.0 which will only install with QuickTime 7.6.4)
Used Streamclip to convert VOB to AVI.
Both original VOB and generated AVI played well in Streamclip
The AVI played well in Windows Media Player 11,.0.574.5145
In QuickTime 7.6.4, VOB played video okay but with no audio
In Quicktime 7.6.4, AVI played video very blurry (worse than VOB in PE8) but audio okay
In PE8, VOB imported to timeline was blurry even after rendering and or changing display to 100%
In PE8, generated AVI imported to timeline was blurrier than the VOB
Uninstalled QT 7.6.4 and installed QT 7.5.5
All of the above problems (playing in QT and PE8) were exactly the same
    Dell Inspiron 530
    2Quad CPU
    2.40 GHz
nVidia GeForce 8300 GS with 512 MB and 191.07 driver set

    DirectX 9.0c
    Quicktime 7.6.4

    Try a different approach.
Start a new project. Use the DVD/Hard Drive Camcorder project preset.
Bring in the VOB as is. Put it on the timeline. Then go to Share/Personal Computer/DV-AVI. See if that gives you better results.\
If not, it could be the original VOB. Remember MPEGs and VOBs can use a little or a lot of compression, depending on how they're set up. And heavy compression makes for an ugly file, no matter what you convert it to.

  • Blurred video after BIOS update

    Hi,
I have updated my T520 from version 1.23 (?) to version 1.34-1.19/1.19 and since then I have blurred video in the Sophos Safeguard password screen. Sophos Safeguard is a disk encrypter and gets launched before Windows 7 does.
Since then I had to enter my password blindly, but I could login okay.
I thought that maybe an update of the video driver would do the trick. I installed version 8.15.10.2538; only the last for digits where higher than the previously installed version. I did all updates via ThinkVantage System Update btw.
After that update, I couldn't even enter my password blindly, just reboot. Fortunately after disconnecting my external monitor I was able to login blindly again.
Before I mess up my system even more...does anyone know what the problem is and maybe how I can resolve it?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards, Tom

Did you hear a small beep every time you started your computer? Do you still hear a beep after a few seconds after you start your computer? Thats usually the beep to indicate that it's loading. If you don't hear that sound, theres not much you can do with that motherboard as the bios is curropt

    *best practice* :
    • 'share' your Project to YouTube
    • mail the URL to that YT-video to client
=> you avoid problems with size (=video is huge)/Bandwidth probs, and 'formats' (=YT is by sheer popularity 'standard'). You can set your Video at YT to 'Private', so only your client is able to watch it. meanwhile, YT allows superb quality ..-
    not-so-good practice:
under Share, Export using Quicktime and the following Option-dialogs allow tons of options to convert and 'shrunk' the video. depending on, what your IP allows about mail-attachement's sizes, you can play with the 'knobs' format/codec, frame-rate, size, to make the video small enough - for the price of quality and compatibility. ex, Windows users often have problems with h264.mov ...

  • Blurred video & garbled sound on one end of ichat

I have been video chatting with my son for a couple of years with excellent audio/video. I was using a MAC G4 dual 1GHZ tower. I recently switched to an intel mac mini. I also have a mac book pro 17 inch. Ever since switching to my intel macs, my video is blurred and my audio garbled on his end. His video and audio remains excellent on my end. I am using the same isight camera as before. My ichat bandwidth limit is set at 1 Mbps (I have tried other settings with no improvement). I have a comcast cable connection and have tested down (3138) and up (1530) speeds. I am using an airport express but have tried a direct connection to the mini with no improvement. Strangely, My macbook pro A/V using the built-in cam gives the same results exactly. Quicktime streaming is set on 1 Mbps cable. No changes have been made on the distant end. Any ideas on this?

You kind of lost me there. I have nothing even close to your example of HTTP://myip.dk/. My IP address consists of nine digits. I have no problem connecting to the internet. When I am not using ichat, download/upload speeds are what I have had all along regardless of G4 or duo core. While I don't normally do it, I can use both my macbook Pro and my mini connected at the same time and maintain good internet speeds. When either the mini or the mac book pro launches ichat, then internet speeds suffer and ichat video is blurred. My ISP has never been interested in any device beyond my cable modem. I normally use an airport express but direct connection to the cable modem does not change results.

  • Doesn´t Radilal Blur Video effect exist more in Premiere Pro CC 2014?

    Hello everyone!
I am studying an Adobe Premiere Pro guide, it is based on an old version and, at one point he says to apply the radial blur effect video.
The problem is: This effect is not where it should be, or no longer exists. Can anyone tell if it still exists? It was replaced ?
If not, how to simulate the same effect? Since all existing blur options in CC version does not do anything like the Radial Blur.
    Already,
    Thank you to all !

The project was very large. Connected to 5 TB of media on a server, not local, or ext. hd.  I needed to "trim" the sequences to make them manageable to put on an Ext HD and mail around the world to different bureaus of our media company.  I opened the project manager and trimmed the first sequence and it worked fine.  All subsequent sequences ended in the same error. "Unknown error, please save and re-try." I tried changing the settings of the "trim" and nothing worked. I tried several different computer, still didn't work.  I tried saving the trimmed sequences to different HD's, servers, local desktops, etc. Nothing worked. Same Unknown Error.  I think it might have to do with audio that is in the sequence that is not being used in conjunction with the associated video.  But, that is crazy. All sequences include this type of editing. But, the first sequence that worked didn't. SO, maybe that is it.
Please fix this problem because I still need to trim these sequences and I'm on a deadline of December 1, 2014!
    Thank you,
    Ben Dyer

  • Encoding with AME - blurred video

    Hi All:
I'm fairly new to Encore/AME but have been doing DVD authoring on other platforms for a long time.
I have a 3 hr project on HDV that I have finished to Blu ray. I'm trying to create a DVD from the project. Since the default transcoding presets in Encore are too high to get 3 hrs of content on 1 disc, I'm using AME to transcode it from Encore. However the quality of the video is far worse (looks blurred) than encoding the same raw footage on other systems like TMPGenc.
Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong.
    Thanks,
    Kris K

    All:
Interestingly after playing around with Encore, I found out that if I started a fresh project with menu files that were sized to DVD frame size, the encoding and video quality of the DVD is much better and is comparable to what I'm getting from other sizes. So I guess I need to redo my encore project for DVD, vs. burning a DVD from the Blu-ray project.
Has anybody else seen this issue?

  • Blurred video quality

I have a Mac Pro and my friend was using a temporary iMac until his own one arrived from the store. We both used iChat V3 with Tiger and everything worked perfectly: crystal clear video quality. A few days ago his new iMac arrived (identical machine to the temporary one, but with even more RAM - so it should have been even better) BUT upgraded to Leopard and iChat V4, while I have stayed with my current system, Tiger and iChat V3. Now the problems have started:
The video image I am receiving is blurred - not pixelated, but blurred as if looking through a soft focus lense. There is no doubt about it: the quality is nothing like as good as before my friend went to Leopard and iChat 4. Now, even Skype image is far clearer than iChat, whereas before iChat had been superior. What could be going on? I have tried changing the settings in Quicktime etc, but nothing makes the slightest bit of difference. Could it be some incompatability between Leopard and Tiger, or between iChat V3 and V4 ? Please could someone suggest a possibility? It has taken away much of the pleasure from using iChat.

    Hi,
There are so many variables in this it is impossible to say.
iChat 4 sends all data on one port both in and out. Some protection features on some modems and routers can cut this as it sees the amount of data as an Attack.
Some modems can not cope with the amount of data.
Computer's processor/Video card specs may be the issue as iChat 4 processes the Video differently (Uses the Video card more).
In some cases newer machines can send so much data to their Buddy that the Buddy's end ends up buffering and not processing outgoing frames for you to see.
Some ISPs are trying to manage other Peer-to-Peer usage and it effects iChat.
As a test/start I would change the Bandwidth Limit in iChat > Preferences > Video section.

  • Blurred video when exporting

    Clips are:
    720x480
    4:3  .9091 pixel aspect ratio
    24fps
    progressive
    uncompressed AVIs
    Project settings:
    720x480
    4:3  .9091 pixel aspect ratio
    23.976fps
    progressive
I'm trying to just export this project out as an AVI, even uncompressed, so that is looks just like it does in the project, but I keep getting a blur any time there is motion.  I've exported it out before and it worked fine, but using the same settings, it's suddenly giving me the results in the image I attached to this post.
I've tired exporting as a 720x480, 23.976 progressive uncompressed AVI, Lagarith Lossless AVI, and also the same settings as an h.264 mp4 file and I'm getting the same results every time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm supposed to have this to the client tomorrow.

    Hmm.
Perhaps an Interpret Footage action is needed here.  Maybe Premiere isn't reading the clips actual frame rate correctly?
Not sure.  I checked a bunch of the clips and it shows the framerate to be 24.0000.
I ended up creating a new sequence and set the timebase to 24fps rather than 23.976 (which is what it's been since I began working on this project back in July, so why it's screwing up now I have no idea).
I copied everything from the 23.976 timeline and pasted it into the new 24fps timline.  I then exported using Lagarith at 24fps.  The exported video looked correct, no blurring.  But what I did run into was that every spot in the timeline that had a transition was now screwed up.  Instead of doing a smooth crossfade, it instead faded to black and then suddenly cut to the next clip.  There are also now tiny gaps between every clip (most of which don't cause a problem, but a few cause 1 frame of black).
I assume this problem has come about because of the difference in framerate between 23.976 and 24.  Anyway, I'll have to go back through the entire project and fix all those little problems, but I think the blurriness is gone now.  As to what caused the problem to start in the first place, I still have no idea.
    It's late.  I'm tired.

  • Blurred video when playing TV show from iPOD

    okay,
    1. I played the video on the iTunes player on my PC and it looks fine
    2. when i hook up the pod to the TV (all video and av cable connections are correct)
    3. i get a blurred picture (the sound is fine)
    what am i missing here?
    thx,
    -p
    Dell Inspiron   Windows XP

I have the same problem with my video.
I think the cause is in the video conversion stage from video to mp4.
In my conversion programme the configuration was for 320x240 pixels which looks great on the small iPod screen, but when its on a 42" - not so good....
If you can adjust the resolution of your video conversion try that, only remember - a 640x480 pixel image is 4 times the size(area) of a 320x240 so your video will take up more space.

  • Pixelated blurred video in PREmElem8

I am new to preelm8 but have used videstudio9 for some time
I bring into a new PRE project a video clip from a canon legria fs21 (24 bits 720x576 16:9 25Frames/sec mpeg-2 video upper field first, file fomat PAL DVD), i set the project preset to Hard disk flash memory camcorder, widescreen 48kHz, widescreen PAL video (16:9 interlaced), DVD PAL, 25fps, 720hx576v UFF etc. This should be the correct preset for the files from the FS21, am I correct ?.
I then drop the video clip onto the timeline and play it in the monitor panel, it is blurred and pixelated and you can see this especially on the edges of anything that is moving, really quite poor. Interestingly if I play exactly the same clip from the ORGANIZE by just double clicking on it the video quality is very good why is there a difference?
Back in the EDITER i right click the monitor panel and change magnification to 100% it is terrible so i just put it back to FIT, saw some comments about his on the forum. I hit return to render it, this makes no difference (in fact it doesn't render, no red bar going to a greeen bar) and surely it shouldn't, if my project settings exactly match the clip then there is no need to render if I have done nothing except drop the raw clip onto the timeline am I correct in this assumption ? this is true in videstudio9 for these mpeg clips, even when you burn to DVD it only renders menus, if the clips are unaltered from their raw state on the time line they don't need to be rendered
If i follow the same process in videostudio 9 and play the clip in the editor the quality is fine !, Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong
Interestingly if I go to share and export the timeline with the PAL DVD widescreen preset but with field order altered to UFF (default is LFF and exporting with it set to this gives terrible quality predictably I guess) then the quality of the file when burn't to a DVD is the same as the same file burn't to a dvd using videstudio 9 when viewed on the TV, so the problem just seems to be a playback issue when in the editor as far as I can see
by compariosn if i import an HD file (robotica_720.wmv from ms web site), choose the correct project preset, dump it onto the time line and play it it is really good quality
the computer is toshiba sat pro intel core 2 duo, 2.2Ghz, 2Gb ram176Gb free disk space win xp pro sp3
any help would be much appreciated otherwise i guess it;s going to irritate me so much that it's $140 down the drain and back to VS9 which would be a pity as I like some other things in PRE

    HI Steve
There is no red line, i don't think you need to render if the project settings match the clip setting and all you have done is drop the clip into the time line and nothihng else, if I press enter nothing happens, the clip was brought across using SDCOPY.exe this allows you to change the file extension from .MOD to .MPG and also gives the option to set the 16:9 flag in the header, if I get the clip from the camera directly using PRE it doesn't correctly set the 16:9 flag in the same way that the useless Pixela sw which ships with the camera doesn't either hence the thrid party sw, there's endless stuff about this issue on the forums it's a canon stuff up they are writing the apsect ratio info in some other file instead of the MOD.
I also tried to import DV SD definition avi clips in via IEEE using PRE and the correct preset of course and I get the same hopeless quality when I play that back in the editer as well, again there is no red bar or rendering as the proj setting is identical to the clip.
I agree that if i choose a preset that does not match the clip then I do see a red line as expected or if I add some text or a picture etc to the timeline then there is red bar too
yup i understand the comment about flipping the field order the preset uses reverse field order page 44 of the manual, the project preset says UFF the MOD clip is UFF but the default FO in SHARE for the MPEG PAL DVD widescreen preset for output to PC is LFF and if you render with this any motion in the rendered mpeg is terrible, if you change it to UFF then it is fine.
Anway I've pretty much given up with this now and I see BOB1984 is having similar problems but with another video format, time to find out how adobe custmer service works out when it comes to honouring their 30 day money back guarantee !

  • What causes blurred video, I'm using a 1411

I am using a VCR as my video source. Using a HL Grab acquisition. Performance is great. Once in a while my image gets blurred. I'm including a sample. Also, I am seeing a bowing of the image toward the top. What can I do? Thanks!

The blurred image looks like the odd and even fields have been reversed. I'm not sure why it happened though. The bowing at the top of the image is related to the timing signals. I suspect both are related to using the VCR as the source. VCRs do not produce high quality video signals by nature. Perhaps a higher quality VCR would help.
It might be worth running the same section of tape twice to see if the blurring occurs on the same frame every time. If it does, it is something on the tape. If not, it is the VCR.

  • Blurred video 2

I had a chat just now, and had the Connection Doctor on. I noticed that my friend's Bitrate was hovering between 40- 70, while mine was about 260. The image I am seeing of him is really blurred. Could there be some problem related to Leopard/iChat V4, in that it requires a much higher bit rate to produce clear images than Tiger/iChat V3?

    Hi
First have you both set the Quicktime streaming setting, goto sys prefs/quicktime/streaming/streaming speed, set to 1.5mbps
In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to NONE.
    Restart iChat.
