Blurry image on test movie

Hey, wondering if there is a solution to this, or if its just
how it is...
See this pic:
http://www.expansiondesign.com/Picture%203.png
The left half is how the jpeg looks on the stage, the right
is how it looks when I "test movie"
(The "test movie" window is sitting over the top of the stage
- hence the drop shadow)
The image doesn't have smoothing on, is set to jpeg
compression, and uses imported jpeg data.
Cheers

  • No  images in Test Movie

?I am following the Studio 8 Cafe Townsend Tutorial.
I have copy and pasted the ActionScript code that makes the
slideshow animate. In the Test Movie, the title and descriptions
are working but no images - which I have checked are in the
    cafe_townsend/images folder. I am stuck!

I am working through the Studio 8 handbook / pdf which I am
following to the letter. I am wondering if I made a mistake in
Fireworks (Tutorial 7 : Handling Photographs) althoug I have the
    images in cafe_townsend/images. Any ideas?

  • When I burn a 1.3 GB movie on DVD on the highest quality setting, the result is a blurry image.  How can I fix that?

Why did I get a poor quality DVD result when the quality is good when I view it on Premiere Elements?

    piboss314
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What is the project preset for the project and what are the properties of the source media for the project.?
What is the screen size of the TV being used for viewing of the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc? Do you have the
same problem if you view the DVD-VIDEO on DVD using a computer player?
We need to explore if this is a problem of expectation or something else.
    a. If you take your Timeline content to AVCHD format on a DVD disc, what is the quality of that end product?
Just in case note, DVD-VIDEO standard 4:3 and widescreen 16:9 have the same frame size, 720 x 480 (NTSC) and 720 x 576 (PAL).
The widescreen has a 16:9 flag that stretches the video for display after encoding....in the case of NTSC to about 856 x 480. So, if you
have a high resolution Timeline content, what you are seeing in the end product DVD-VIDEO may not be faring well in the comparison.
    b. Please define "poor" quality - not clear, blurry, images smudged looking, something else.
If you are starting with interlaced video with field order = Upper Field First, you may be running into a problem with the field order
that is part of DVD-VIDEO, that is, Lower Field First. We can correct that in 2 ways.
Please review the above. Your reply with details will direct us in customizing an appropriate troubleshooting plan.
    Thank you.

  • Blurry Images

Hello, I am using Fireworks 8. When I create a nav bar or
other image, I have an issue with the image being blurry when I
import into Dreamweaver. I have image resolution set to 500 pixels
per inch which seems good enough to me and I am not stretching or
otherwise skewing the image in the table cell I am inserting it
into. I should say that I am new to Fireworks and also that the
images look fine in Fireworks. Thanks in advance.

The problem might be the export settings.
Open the Optimize panel, and then click on the Preview button
    at the top
of the document window. Test the image with the various
    export settings.
GIF for vector images and text with no gradients. JPEG for
    photo images
and gradients. When you like the way the image looks, test in
    your
    browser again.

  • Issue playing scenes in test movie animations stop playing

I'm fairly new to adobe flash so I hope I use the right terms when asking this question.  I am using AS2 in CS5.5.
I am creating a project for a class that introduced me to adobe flash.  The issue is I have gotten to a certain point about 15 scenes.
During say the 15th scene scrolling through the timeline animations works fine, playing it on test scene works fine.  When I go to play it on test movie it stops at a certain point.
At first I thought it might have been a misplaced stop action but there is none to be found.  The weird part is every other scene I create after that
continues to freeze as well, the images are there, but the animations won't play.  All my previous animations play before those with the issue, it's just
These new ones won't play for some reason in test movie, but work completely fine in test scene and the timeline.  Can anyone help me figure this out please?

    you're welcome.
to remedy, remove one or more scenes from your original fla by shift-clicking all the frames/layers in a scene and pasting into a new fla.  save the new fla with a new name and publish a new swf that you can load into your original.
there's no limit to how many swfs can be loaded into your original.  you might find it convenient to put each scene (after your first few) into their own fla/swf.

  • Compressor creates pulsing blurry images on some clips!!

Rendering from ProRes HD to DVD m2v compressor creates pulsing blurry images on some clips every 15 frames! i had had this happen twice on 2 different clip since the last update to 6.0.3 most of the movie is fine but when I get to a certain clip in the movie every 15 frames it becomes very blocky!
    Anyone have this issue?
    Thanks, mark

I also have the same pulsating pixelation/blur problem. It used to happen occaisionally in the passed, but recently it's been happening a lot. I used to be able to eliminate the problem by (reluctantly) doing a 1-pass, but even that doesn't work anymore. The same pulsating result seems to be there whatever m2v output settings I set. My company has wasted days trying to sort this out.
I never was 100% happy with Compressor - now it's right in the heap for me. I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Flash 8: Change "Test Movie" Working Directory

I just posted this with Google Groups but it doesn't appear
to be showing up on the adobe forums, I apologize for those that
    see this twice.
How do I change the working directory that flash uses when I
    do Test Movie (ctrl-enter)?
    Directory Layout:
    project/
    ..index.html
    ..source/
    ....some.fla
    ..images/
    ....some.png
    ..flash/
    ....some.swf
    project/index.html embeds project/flash/some.swf.
    project/flash/ some.swf loads project/images/some.png. I want to be
able to use Flash 8's Test Movie feature but when I do it looks for
the image at project/flash/images/some.png which doesn't exist. How
can I tell Flash to pretend it's running in project/ instead of
    project/flash/?

The project is too large and has too many people working on
it to move files around between author-time and run-time. We are
just starting the project now so there are only a few SWFs and
images but the final project will likely have hundreds of SWF files
and even more images. Because of this, it is unrealistic for us to
just drop all the SWF files in the top level of the project (where
index.html will reside) as that directory would be too disorganized
    to work with.
Note: In this project SWFs dynamicly load other SWFs at
runtime based on a relative path to the project root directory
    (where index.html is).

  • T410 camera blurry image

    Hi!
I am running a T410 with Linux. The camera is detected but the image is out of focus. I thought it may be a Linux driver problem, so I installed Windows 7 in VirtualBox, using USB-pass-through to use the Windows driver for the camera. I was surprised that the image was exactly the same: out of focus.
Note: I have tried various light conditions, distances, etc. The images below are a comparison at the same distance/light of the internal camera, with an external one:
    Image with internal camera:
    Link to picture
    Using an external USB camera:
    Link to picture
    Anyone has seen this problem?
I know there is an utility called ThinkVantage Communication Utility. Which I can't run on Linux or virtualized. However, as far as I know it has basic image controls (which also work on Linux), but nothing related to focus (and the focus is also afaik fixed).
I am thinking this is faulty hardware. I am trying to avoid wiping my system just to restore the factory image just to watch the same blurry image, specially after the hundred of issues I have found with the camera on the web.

Man, you made me almost scratch the case with a knife looking for a plastic strip. There is none. :-)
Accidentally, while trying to move the "strip" I could not see, I noticed the image quality got fixed (on Linux), but it lasted only while I had my fingers there. Gotcha. If I press the area near the lens against the screen, it gets fixed.
    Without pressing image
    Pressing the plastic image
So the problem is hardware. Shame on Lenovo, I was expecting a more robust construction. At least I don't see how this could have hapenned on my old T20's. Now looking in detail, loos like the screen frame is not well attached to the rest.
    I will contact a service provider :-(

  • Buggy test movie

    Hi,
I'm testing a movie clip in which a 3-D effect (image flip using the 3-D rotation tool) exists.  Unfortunately, the movie clip doesn't show up as intended via Test Movie, but works fine when I do a Test Scene.   What gives?  Is this a bug.
    Would upgrading to CS5 help?
    Regards,
    Ron

Sorry, I'm afraid this forum removed my attached files on purpose.  Can I email them to you somehow?  Or else, I could try to upload them to a server and I could later email you the link?

  • Blurring on export or test movie

    Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the following
    problem.
I have built a movie based around one scene and everything
works fine all the way through to export.
However due to the amount of images in the movie, i require
to add just a simple preloader
ideally as a preceeding scene or preceeding frames in the
exisitng scene (shifting everything else back in the timeline).
When i come to export the movie with either a preceeding
scene or additional preceeding frames several elements become very
blurred. Then when i remove the preloader frames/scene everything
    is fine.
    Please help
    Javo

Due to the type of content I create, I only use one scene with a longer timeline. I also have a layer that contains a button that I code so I can "jump to" a certain frame for testing. That layer will be hidded before before the file becomes "final".

  • Buttons not working in test movie

    Hi
i am having a problem with some buttons. I am new to flash so maybe it's something elementary i am doing wrong. I created a simple scene and have two buttons. "The fear" and "back'. I want the fear button to begin playing movie at frame 2 so i typed on(release){ gotoAndPlay(2);}  on three lines obviously. Same with back button except stop at frame 1. buttons work perfectly when i enable test buttons but when i test movie they don't work properly
any help would be greatly appreciated

If you remove the code from the buttons do they react properly to a mouse over interaction?
What is the code that is in place?

  • Testing movie on a remote machine (server)

one machine is functioning as a server.
on the other machine i run a swf file (test movie).
i want it to function as if it is on the same machine.
    i get an error (504)

is there any definitions that i have to define in order to
    connect?
(the guy that works on the server side files says its my
problem and i have to format windows and install flash again i am
sure that there is a less complicated and time consuming solution.)

    Hello,
I don't know an official way to do this but the compiler of the LabVIEW FPGA module is a tool from Xilinx so I don't have all the internal information. On the other hand there are 3rd party tools available that can run any application as a service (e. g. here) so maybe this could be a solution for you.

  • Help!! Flash CS3 and CS4 "Test Movie" very slow on OS X

This is a problem that, having read many forums, affects a
very large amount of people, though Adobe doesn't care at all. It
only affects OS X users. I know that it has been addressed many
times in different forums, but I never actually stumbled across
    anyone having found a solution.
When I use Flash CS3, and I make any animation, even the
simplest tween, and I preview it with Test Movie, the result I get
is an extremely slow playback. Something like half the FPS it
    should be.
However, when I export the SWF and preview it in the external
Flash Player or in a browser, it's just fine and fast.
Another interesting thing is that in CS3, when I open the
Help panel, the problem with Test Movie only happens like 20% of
the time. In that case, it only gets solved if I restart or Log Out
at least. I have no idea why the Help panel being open solves the
problem, this only shows that this is probably a little graphic
user interface bug, or something similar, that could be solved very
    very easily.
In Flash CS4, there is no Help panel, so there is no solution
    to the problem.
It would be nice to be able to press Cmd + Enter to see the
movie, and not have to do File > Export > bla bla bla, open
Finder, Find the SWF, double click it, wait for the browser to
    open... etc...
I have a brand new 2.5 GHz MacBook Pro, and Test Movie runs
faster on my 900MHz Pentium III PC!! Funny...
Here are some links I found about this problem:
    http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-878
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb407896
    http://www.kirupa.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-258991.html
This is quite ridiculous, and on Adobe's Support page, the
solution is "Do not use Test Movie."
And the funny thing is that they didn't even bother to fix
    this in CS4...
So basically if something doesn't work, Adobe's solution is
    "Don't use it."
    I guess they're right!
Please, tell me if anyone has or does not have this problem

After modifying an imported image from illustrator, the imported image's position moves within the frame of Indesign CS6 when the link is updated.

You have not provided any relevant information, so nobody can know. you can simply have added content that expands the bounding box. Well, whatever, ask in the relevant forums and be much more specific.
