Blurry Photoshop Files/Titles in Premiere Pro

Whenever I try to import photoshop files or add a still title to premiere pro, they both look to be very blurry. The video is older, shot in 2011 in AVI format, but even the video looks to be in a way better quality than the photos/titles. The photos themselves look pretty crisp in photoshop but look pretty terrible when sized down in premiere pro.. I have never had any problem sizing down photoshop files in premiere pro. They have always maintained quality but for some reason it is not working correctly. Can somebody explain to me what is wrong?

As for the titles, did you use PrPro's title designer to make them or are they also still images from PS or some other app? If they are actual PrPro titles, what dimensions were they set at int he 'New Title' dialog when you made them? They should match your sequence by default but if for some reason they were sized way down that would explain the blurriness.

  • F9 or file-new-title freezes premiere pro v2.0

f9 or file-new-title freezes premiere pro v2.0.  So I have installed it new on a dell precision 670 xeon 3.6ghz, 3 gig ram, 500gighd.  I formatted the hd installed wxpsp3, installed adobe premiere pro v2.o and everything was working fine.  One week later the user can not use f9 or hit new title without freezing the program and hitting esc. to get out of trying to create title to use ppro.  I have ran repair and it does not work.  No new updates have been inistalled.  I have top uninstall and install fresh each time.  Help please I do not use this I just install over and over and over.

The freeware, FontFrenzy, will help detect corrupt fonts, and can repair some. I use Extensis Font Doctor, not freeware, and it does a good job.
By chance, do you have SunMicro System's Open Office? If so, uninstall the Deja Vu font, and try again. It, and some others, just do not play well with Titler, even when most other Adobe programs have zero issues.
    Good luck,

    Thank you,

You can render the title out of Premiere Pro as a movie and bring it into After Effects as a video file. Titles aren't automatically converted when you copy and paste from Premiere Pro to After Effects or use Dynamic Link to send something to After Effects.

  • How do i import director 7 files into current premiere pro

how do i import director 7 files into current premiere pro
I have a project created in Macromedia Director 7. I was told by sales that this would import into Premere Pro.
However I have no Idea how! Any help would be appreciated.

I'm happy to announce to you all that my "mp4 importing" issues has been sorted out. Now I import mp4 shot with the same Windows Phone 8 Device into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. Only that for the moment, it doesn't play as fast as with ordinary player.
    But how did I get it to work, you may wonder;
I simply installed Itunes on the system, I also installed an app called media monkey. I can't say which of the apps did the magic but the next time I tried to import mp4 files into Premiere Pro after these installations, it imported seamlessly.
Obviously there's a link between the required codecs and the itunes itself.
You may want to try it and hope it works for you.
Kindly inform us if it works.
    Thank you all.
    Cheers.

  • Error converting a Premiere Elments file (*.prel) into Premiere Pro

When opening a Premiere Elements File (*.prel) in Premiere Pro it does not load. Premiere Pro crashes in the process and I get the following message before shutting down: "Premiere Pro has encountered an error. [\SRC\AEVideoFilter.ccp-1651]"
I use Premiere Pro CS5 and import from Premiere Elements 9 on Windows Vista.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.
When the PREL comes from a version of PrE, that is rather contemporary with one's version of PrPro, it should Open fine. If not, try to Import it into a similar Project. Now, there ARE some caveats:
PrE has some functions that do not exist in PrPro, such as Instant Movies/Themes, and those can cause issues.
PrE has some 3rd party Effects and Transitions, that do not exist in PrPro, but PrPro should not crash, only alert you to those. However, a few have caused some major issues.
There could well be other issues, that I am just not remembering.
As a test, create a simple Project in PrE, and Save. Open (or Import) that PREL into PrPro, and test.
    Good luck,

Which script (a line of code, probably) implements this menu item: File>Export>Adobe Premiere Pro Project?

    This may be helpful:

Mind that even when you can activate a menu command by this method you may not be able to control the resulting dialog via scripting.  That's one of the reasons why this method of accessing commands isn't published.

  • Jerky Titles in Premiere Pro CC 2014

The rolling titles I have created are very 'jerky' / stuttering / jittery.  I tried using various methods to avoid this that have been posted on these boards, but nothing has helped. I used rolling titles, the pre-set version, and that was bad. I tried easing in / easing out and that did not work.  I did not adjust the clip's length on the timeline.  I then used a Photoshop file w/ the credits and used Keyframing and Motion effects and it still jittered, even with bezier lines, auto or continuous - tried both. And yes, I rendered the files, every time, to check and that did not work.
Link to example: Jittery Credits Test on Vimeo
On a side note, PP CC 2014 is crashing at least once a session, whereas PP CC was very stable. What gives?
    Using PP CC 2014
I have virtually the entire CC suite and the CC 2014 suite, mainly use PP and AME
    All updates have been installed
    Mac OS 10.9.3
    CC membership subscription on desktop
The source footage is H.264 in quicktime container
No error messages, just no response once the window to import a project closes, after one is selected
The problem is occurring w/ any project file that I try.
Did not have this problem in PP CC
The only other software I am using is Chrome
    No third party codecs installled
Computer is a 2013 Mac Pro, 3.5 Ghz 6-core, 16 GB memory, AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB graphics card, No third party I/O hardware

  • Help with Titles in Premiere Pro

    Hello,
So, I recently began to incorporate titles into my various projects in Premiere, but I have some issues.  Since I drag/insert the title into their own separate video track on my timeline, they overlay on top of the actual video I'm working with.  However, if I delete the main video track and just try to export the titles themselves as video, they no longer retain the transparent background as they did in the project.  Instead, they are titles on a black background.
Is there any way to avoid this?  Keep the titles, but lose the background, so I can essentially overlay that video on top of another in after effects?  Even when using dynamic link to connect to after effects, the titles lose their transparency.
I'm trying to export a dvd compliant video, but I've had no luck so far.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Let me ask ...
Are your titles contantly in motion, meaning that a large file is probably your only shot,  or would it suffice to turn your carefully crafted titles into PNG files that could easily be used in After Effects?
I find your question a bit odd because I find it much easier to create my titles in After Effects than in Premiere Pro if there is going to be any motion. For still titles I can surely see the advantage of Premiere Pro's titler.
When I want to take a title into After Effects, I merely export as a PNG and include the Alpha channel.

  • Change .mp4 Icon on published files from Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014

When I export my Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 file, to a .mp4, the thumbnail icon of the final file doesn't pick up the first frame. (which is a still shot, title shot). Instead, it picks up the first frame of the first video clip at about 5 seconds in.
How can I set the this to pick up the first frame?
I can upload the file to YouTube, and change the custom thumbnail fine, but when the video is embedded on a page, it pulls the this same icon instead of the desired first frame.
    Thanks for helping!

  • Can I import I-life files into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4?

Okay, so not exactly an Apple question, but there are so many smart, helpful people on here, and the Adobe forum doesn' t seem very active.
I recently got Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 (the movie editing software).  I tried to import files from I-photo, but those folders wouldn't even open.  Tried to import files from the movie folder, which were in .mpg format, but got a message that it is an incompatible format.
Those were just simple movie files taken with a small digital camera.  Does anyone know how I could use this footage in Adobe Pro?  I have access to other Adobe software as well, perhaps there is a way to convert the files?  If I try to import something to Adobe from I-movie, should that work?  Or from I-DVD?  Also, is it possible, with Adobe or regular Mac software, to import regular DVD footage (that is not in form of a computer file, but just something that plays in your DVD player) or perhaps convert it into a computer file?  I have some old VHS footage that was copied onto a DVD and would like to edit it, or at least have it on my computer as a file.
Also, if I can't use those files, are there any places on the internet where one can download some simple footage to try out in Adobe?  I'm new to it, so I'm just trying to get some files together so I can try out how it works.
Lastly, if anyone knows of a good online tutorual for CS4.  It's an older version, and on the Adobe site they only have tutorials for the newer one.
    Thanks!

This is a forum. None of the users here -at least not to my knowledge - are Adobe professional
Ninety-nine point nine percent correct. We are blessed with a few Adobe employees here, unlike some fora, but those folk are probably at NAB right now. Also, they are in other departments, so would have to walk "down the hall," or make a call, just as we would.
When it gets to issues on licensing, installation, etc., we're pretty much at a loss. Most of us have never encountered such issues, and only know what we have read in others' threads, when they have bothered to report back. Even then, that is third-hand info.
Last time that I had an Adobe installation issue was AI 3, IIRC. My upgrade version did not have the old database of S/N's. Mine was 00-000-003, and things had changed drastically. One call to Adobe, and a total time of about 5 mins. (including hold time), and I was given a number to plug in, and then everything installed perfectly. That was in about 1989, so is not quite contemporary. Still, that is the last and only first-person account that I can offer. Most here have zero personal experiences, as they came to the party later, and have just not had any such issues.
We'd love to help, but just do not have the experience.
    Good luck,

  • Is there any way to create a file compatible with Premiere Pro

Is there any way to create a file in Premiere elements that is compatible with Premiere Pro and that can be used in Premiere Pro

    Consternation
The important information that I do not see mentioned nor offered by you.
1.What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system it is running? What version of Premiere Pro do you want to use?
The Premiere Pro Import Supported Formats seem to indicate that it will accept the Premiere Elements project.prel (project file) on Windows Only.
Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Supported file formats
This may or may not be possible depending on damaged projects or outdated elements.
    2. If you want to export your Premiere Elements Timeline to a file saved to the computer hard drive and subsequently import that into your Premiere Pro version, that "should" work. You would go to the Premiere Elements Publish+Share/Computer/ and make a selection based on what the Premiere Pro Import Supported file formats are and what you need. I can help you with that. But, details first.
But, just a "beware"...when you get to Premiere Elements 11 or 12 (if that is the version involved) Publish+Share/Computer/ there are several categories, but all you see is Adobe Flash Video, MPEG, and AVCHD. The rest of the list that includes AVI and QuickTime which both need to be scrolled to all of the time to see them, not just sometimes, with the thin scroll bar to the right of the list of choices. You can export files
with AVI file extension, under Publish+Share/Computer/AVI
with MOV file extension, under Publish + Share/Computer/QuickTime
And, if you do not have QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements, you are not going to have presets for the QuickTime export.
Remember, there is more to an export than just its file extension. Know your other export properties as well.
In many cases, you can customize the export settings to suit your requirements.
Problems will exist if you are trying to go from Premiere Elements Windows to Premiere Pro Mac or vice versa.
I would be glad for the opportunity to help you with this issue, but details are needed.
Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thanks.

  • Mov files in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 - XDCAM (MPEG) resp MPEG 1/2 (xdvc)

    Problem description:
I got a bunch of MOV files on a HFS+ formated disk for editing on Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3). When I import to Premiere, Premiere says "Codec missing or unavailable". Paragon HFS+ is used to handle the HFS+ formated disk. I copied the data to a NTFS formated disk before using.
The reseach I did give the following indications:
I did try to play in Quicktime and Quicktime told that I would need additional software to play the .mov file. But I could execute show movie inspector and it shows "XDCAM EX 1080i 50 (35Mb/s VBR)".
VLC plays (!) and tells that it is a "Mpeg 1/2 Video (xdvc)"
    MediaInfo says "MPEG Video (XDCAM)"
Sound is (L)PCM according to the mov inspector programs.
The MPEG2 format seems to be supported by Premiere (also in HD), forum entries tell me I should be at version 5.0.2 as there Adobe supports the MOV container. So now my question: What am I missing?
I have no idea on the Camera used to film, but it could be a JVC, as it is told that the JVC writes mov files.

    Hi Colin,
The explanation is quite simple and it appeared to me sometime during the weekend when executing completly different tasks.
The video source is different! The small clips (and your test clip) are what came from the camera and was transcoded to mov, my test clip was the edit out of FCP! It was by chance the only mov-file left, all others have been deleted after transforming to mp4, not to keep the data in double and fill up the disks with unnessecary data. So I tested this clip, which was the mistake!
Testing one of the original input files confirmed your result!
The difference between the files is having indeed 2 mono audio streams (input mov) vs one stereo stream (edit mov), all 3 obviously PCM.

  • Using AE titles in Premiere Pro movie

I used Dynamic Link from Premiere Pro (CS5) to AE to create titles for a video (~2hours) I created.  The problem was I made AE the size of my movie with titles throughout the timeline.  When I went to render in Encore, Premiere Pro would crash after an hour or so.  I ended up removing the AE titles all together, and everything rendered fine.
My question: Is there a way to use AE titles without having to create multiple AE comps for each title to link into Premiere Pro?  For example, my 2 hour movie has 20 titles - will I have to dynamically link to AE 20 different times?
    Thanks in advance.

Yes. Its really no big deal if you are familiar with using AE in a dynamic link relationship with PrP.

  • Trouble Importing MOV files in adobe premiere pro cs3

    Hi,
I just bought a Canon 60D camera and I am using adobe premiere pro cs3 for the first time.
I tried to import MOV file footages made by my Canon 60D, but it says that my files are not supported.
I don't know what to do!
    Can someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Hi All,
Let me tell you how I solved the XDV9 codec trouble on my Windows 7 system. The solution is rather stunning because I am using completely free software. First download the Shark007 codec pack for your system here: http://shark007.net/forum/Thread-Setup-and-usage . Please be aware that the codec pack installer comes with a toolbar install option so make sure you de-select this option during the installation process. After installation check the MOV tab on the "Settings Application" program. Make sure "use LAV's splitter" is selected for MOV Playback.
Now comes the crazy part... To convert the XDV9 MOV video clips just download Windows Essentials Movie Maker for Windows 7. At this moment more info about this program can be found here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/movie-maker-get-started . Again, make sure to set the right settings during installation otherwise you will be installing a lot of possible unwanted crap like Windows Live Mail, Windows Skydrive etc.
Movie Maker has quite good settings for converting (High Definition or custom settings are supported). Select your clip, or select multiple clips to create an unedited full length clip of all your clips, and then select "create movie". I used the "use recomended settings for this project" settings as it matches the source file resolution and frame rates etc. It is quite some work to convert clips like this but its the only free solution I could find so far.
    Good luck!

  • ** URGENT: ** MEDIA IS OFFLINE for Mp4 files after updating Premiere Pro CC to 8.1

    Hi there,
I upgraded recently to Premiere pro CC 2014 and I am working on a project that is already late.
I was having some small issues then I thought that after upgrading to latest version everything would be fine.
I just started Premiere and opened my project and had an error message, just like this guy
Premiere Pro CC 2014 seems to  Corrupt projects created with earlier versions
Then I deleted the preference files and the project could be opened again.
But the MP4 files haven't opened and has the imagem MEDIA OFFLINE
(and I have LOTS of MP4 files that were working absolutely fine before)
I tried to make links again but it didn´t worked.
I tried to drag and drop MP4 files it didn´t worked too. (unsuported media file)
I renamed the folder ADOBE from \user\appdata\local and roaming  twice.
I tried to start with SHIFT ALT to delete preferences againa - didn´t worked too.
    I tried to reinstall Quicktime.
I tried to reinstall K-Lite codec pack.
I REALLY need your help before formating and starting everything from scratch.
    Thanks and best regards.
    Lucas Selbach

So if you got here looking for an answer, this is what worked for me:
(se você quer uma resposta em portugues me avise)
    - Exit all adobe software (including Cloud)
    - Delete preference folder (adobe) in my documents.
    - Rename Adobe folder from \userfolder\appdata\roaming and \userfolder\appdata\local to old.adobe
    - Uninstall any codec package that you might have installed
    - Uninstall Premiere via add/remove programs
    - Look for *.xmp files and remove all
    - Remove rendered files too from your project folder.
    - Restart computer
    - Use a Registry utility to clean up your computer from traces (I use Glary Utilities)
    - Install Premiere Pro CC
    - Restart computer
    - Install Quicktime 7
    - Restart computer
    - Everything should be fine by now.
    =)
    Good luck!
