Blurry SVG from AI to AM

Hi,
I'm using Illustrator CC to create some vector text and graphics to use in Muse CC - both apps are right up to date.
Its on a surface pro 3.
The problem is that when I copy directly from Illustrator and paste directly into Muse, the resulting graphic looks terrible - very blurry and of low quality.
Its the opposite of what I am looking for, which is a sharp / crisp result.
Can anyone help me please on how to do this effectively ?

Check your zoom level on the page as well. From your Muse screenshot it looks like you're zoomed in 400%. Placed SVG graphics look best at the standard 100% view in Muse. If you zoom into the layout Muse will make the SVG images look very fuzzy. They get more fuzzy the more you zoom into the page.

gif, jpg and png are pixel formats, so please clarify what the problem is supposed to be.

Thank you for explaining the theory about rendering in Muse but something doesn't work.
I'm running on Win7 - CC2014.2. on 2 different computers. Efe Of course the transparency displays correctly when I preview my page in the browsers (All browsers - also IE11).
Also in preview mode svg is very good but in design mode
In order to render the SVG at design time, Muse hands the SVG to Safari on the Mac and Internet Explorer on Windows and asks it for a bitmap. This bitmap is only used at design time and when viewing the site in a browser that does not support SVG. Unfortunately, the bitmap returned by Internet Explorer strips out partial transparency. Fully transparent pixels should be preserved at design time and all transparency should be preserved when you actually view your site in the browser.
We have not seen or heard of differences in the handling of transparent pixels between copy/pasting and save/import. Hence, I'm wondering if the copy/paste issue is only with partially transparent pixels and if the case that succeeds in a save/import workflow is for fully transparent pixels. To be clear, this transparency issue should only be during design time on Windows. There shouldn't be any issues on the Mac or in the browser.

SVG from Sketch Crashes Illustrator

My SVG file exported from Sketch 3 is crashing Adobe Illustrator. I talked to Sketch support and they pointed fingers at Adobe. Has anything worked to fix this?

While there are certainly issues with Illustrator's import filter, this points to problems in the Sketch export as well.
You can try and import an SVG from Wikipedia or Inkscape or whatever. They might throw errors, but Illustrator can open at least the simple ones.

Blurry Text from DVD Studio Pro

Hello, I've created 4 'slide show' type presentations in motion 2. Project settings are:
Width: 1360
Height: 768
Bit Depth: 8 Bit
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD (960x720, 1440x1080) 1.33
Field Order: None
Frame Rate:59.94 fps
Render Settings:
Motion Blur: Samples: 8
Shutter Angle: 360
Output: Antialiasing Method: Best
I've tried many many compression settings:
MPEG-2 6.2Mbps 2-pass 16/9.m2v
Uncompressed 10-bit NTSC.mov
Importing raw motion files into DVD Studio Pro
All of the resulting dvds burned from DVD Studio pro look pixelated and blurry when played on a dvd player onto a Toshiba 32HL86. Unfortunately its an SD dvd player connectedt to the tv, so not sure if that has a major impace.

I am at my wits end, can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm not an expert, but have recently had similar problems with graphics that had text, black lines, lots of contrast, and movement. They looked great on HD but when I made a SD DVD, they were very blocky and pixellated - completely unusable. After lots of experimentation, I've finally got an acceptable dvd. Went back to my original shots - in Final Cut, (I'm not sure if you can do this in Motion) and carefully applied a little Gaussian Blur (.25 to1) to each according to how badly they pixellated. Also adjusted blacks and whites so they weren't so contrasty. Then made my mpeg with Compressor - two pass vbr, 6.8 mbps, best motion estimator. The Gaussian Blur seems to break up the areas that get blocked up and pixelated. SD dvd is such a lousy low resolution medium anyway, that it doesn't seem to result in any focus problems and helped most shots - I've even gone back and applied it to some of the regular footage that was pixellating. It was a lot of work, you may want to see if an expert weighs in on this.

Imported SVG from Edge Animate not rendering properly in Safari

Hi,
We are having problems with an animation we created in Edge Animate, when we import it into Adobe Muse and then view it in Safari it becomes jagged and doesn't render properly.
It works perfectly on Chrome, Firefox and when using a retina screen.
We are using CC 2014 version now, previously when we used the old version of CC it worked on all browsers.
Is there any settings we need to change when exporting from Edge or importing into Muse?

Thanks vivekuma that seems to work now using the below steps.
1. In "Position and Size" subsection of the property panel, note down somewhere, the values of "X", "Y", "W" & "H" of an svg file used on stage.
2. In "Transform" subsection of the property panel, change the CSS Transform ScaleX and ScaleY from 10% to 100%.
3. The above change will change the values for "X", "Y", "W" & "H". So, you have to set their values as you have noted down in the first step.
4. Repeat the first 3 steps for every svg file used on stage.

How to Embed an SVG From HTTPService?

My SVG file is the ouput generated from a PHP file, because I am trying to use the PHP with parameters that allows me to have further customizations. After reading some of the tutorials on http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/quickstart/embedding_assets/, and looks like that I have to embed SVG if I get it to display. The problem is, it looks like that it does not like seeing the extension PHP when I have the following in my Flex app:

   [Bindable]public var SvgMap:Class;
   <mx:Image id="myLogo" source="{SvgMap}"/>
When I try to compile the code, I get these errors:
   1)Unable to transcode http:/localhost/population_5grade.php.
   2)'http://localhost/population_5grade.php' does not have a recognized extension, and a mimeType was not provided
Is there something wrong I have done here? How can I display the SVG in this case if I cannot embed it?

My PHP file is supposed to display an SVG, so I guess that is an image.
I tried your code, butit seems to only work if it is a jpg, png or gif file.
For example, this works:

I could see the image all right.
However, if I use the hyperlink that links to my PHP "svg" file, I only get a blank screen with the pre-set background color.

I then changed the previous line to <mx:Image source="{SvgMap)" width="550" height="350"/> , and added the embed declarations at the Actionscript portion of the file:
   [Embed(source="map.svg")]
   [Bindable]public var SvgMap:Class;
I then received some output, but the entire map is now gray with no colors, unlike what I have in the map.svg.
BTW, for testing purposes, I have saved the output of what I had in http://localhost/population_5grade.php to map.svg (the content of the map is attached in this message.
I wonder what could the problem be here?

SVGs From CorelDraw Not Rendering Text

Has anybody found a solution for why FrameMaker refuses to render text from CorelDraw SVG images? Doing a Google Search, I stumbled onto some discussions from 2007 where others also saw this behavior, but no solution.
The SVG images display properly in every other tools I've tried in Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, there's just something broken in the way FrameMaker's graphic import tool sees and brings them in. Adobe's now defunct SVG Viewer also renders the images properly which leads me to believe that there is just something broken in the way that FrameMaker (version 8-10 tested) are importing these images.
Anybody else seen this, or have a solution on how to fix this?

What Frame version?
I don't have a fix, but if the goal is to preserve the vector content (and the text), a work-around would be to save as PDF from Corel. Import the PDF.
If Coral can't save as PDF (or print to PDF), open the SVG in an app that can, such as Adobe Illustrator, and save as PDF.
If your Frame version is 7.2 or lower, save as EPS and not PDF. I don't know if Corel can do that. Illustrator can, and Acrobat Pro can re-save PDFs as EPS.
If you really want to see Frame wreck an SVG, save as XML from Frame.

Blurry comp from After Effects to Premiere

Hello,
I did a simple logo as a 3D object to spin and have some text flash by. I encoded it and imported it to Prem Pro. The problem is the logo and text look blurry when I hit play. Is there a rule of thumb for export settings etc etc. Thanks for the help.

Suggestions -
1. Use Dynamic lik instead of exporting from after effects and then impoting in premiere pro if you have production premium or master collection.
2. If you are exporting for the purpose of importing in another application (premiere pro or Encore) you should chose to export in uncompressed format like uncompressed avi. So that you dont loose quality twicw that is once while export from after effect and then while export from premiere pro.

Blurry pics from one mac to another!?!

My friend printed pictures onto a disk from her iphoto library. When I imported the disk into my iphoto (same version) they all appear blurry. Is there a way I can fix this?

You can not print to disk - you print to paper
How did your friend actually general this disk (I assume it is a CD or DVD) and how did you import form it?

Blurry SVG files

Hello all
Am attempting to bring in a chart which was created in Illustrator into Edge to animate the data series.
The chart was saved as a SVG file at the same size as the stage in Edge.
However, when I drag the SVG onto the stage, it's extemely blurry and I can't use such a poor quality image.
Any solutions to this issue??

Since SVG are xml you could make the image much larger with little size impact and you would get a clearer image.

My Mozilla is unable to run/view a SVG file successfully, 3D.svg from batik whereas its running on Opera and Safari

Its a SVG file from Batik , an apache java svg tool. Its seems that mozilla is not able run it as expected. I have tried it over opera and safari where it works. I am giving below the SVG script. As a developer I would like to know the status of SVG implementation on Mozilla firefox and its limitations. Thanks

Are you trying to migrate your application from an older release to a newer one ?
Always provide details of which version of Jdeveloper you are using and what technologies your application uses besides what you were trying to do at a high level.

Serving SVG from JSP

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to serve Scalable Vector Graphics from JSP?
The XML for the SVG is easy enough to generate, however Internet explorer only renders the graphics if the file has a .svg suffix.
When using JSP, as the file has a .jsp suffix the SVG s not rendered, instead the XML is displayed.
Is there a way to mask the .jsp suffix with .svg and still have Tomcat process the file as a jsp?
Are there any other tricks I could use to achieve this??

Did you set the correct content type in your jsp? A quick googling suggests that the mime type for a svg file is 'image/svg+xml'.
