BO 4.0 : JCoException while scheduling the webi report

Hi,
We are in BO 4.2 patch 8.
We have 35 webi reports. These report uses SAP BW as data source. We are using DF to fetch data from SAP BW.
We have manually configured the RFC destination for JCO connection (as mentioned in SAP notes - 1638647).
Reports are getting scheduled successfully. But sometimes some webi reports fails with the following error message.
Database error: (CS) "Java Exception : java.lang.RuntimeException:com.sap.connectivity.cs.java.drivers.DBDError: [Data Federator Driver][Server] [Connector 'Sales_BO_New'] SAP NetWeaver BW has reported an exception: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (112) RFC_ERROR_REQUEST_CANCELLED: connection with handle 3 closed
after cancel (remote system is PBI|BILPBI)" . (IES 10901)
This is in intermittent issue. If anybody faced this issue, then please let me know your feedback.

Personally, I haven't seen this before. To recap:
- Manual refresh work fine
- scheduling works most of the time
- but sometimes it fails with << SAP NetWeaver BW has reported an exception: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (112) RFC_ERROR_REQUEST_CANCELLED >>
You might want see if you can isolate a particular document causing the problem, or determine if it's related to using certain refresh parameters

it says Find out from the JAVA application or the JCo traces which JCo Server was cancelled and restart the server; in the J2EE Application Server context, JCo Servers are often started via the Service JCo RFC Provider
but .. i don't know how helpful that is..

Hi Manoj,
Go to the controls tab in parameters in universe designer and there increase the "Limit size of result set to" and "limit execution time to".
Also in webi go to the edit query and increase the "maximum rows retrived" and "maximu retrievel time".
I think this should avoid partial results.

Is there any way to schedule the webi report as body of the mail

Hi All,
I have a bit different requirement. I need to schedule the webi reports to BlackBerry Mobile .
The report should be displayed not as an attachment or URL but should be the body of the mail.
Is there any Trick or Tip to do that.

You could schedule the reports to run as an Excel or PDF document and the destination as a folder on a server. Then after the reports are sent to the destination, you could use the Program Job Server to run a script which parses the files line-by-line and creates an email. It's not the most elegant solution but in theory it should work.

How to schedule the webi report based on data changes in the report data

Hello,
I want to schedule a webi report based on data change in a column in the report.
The scenario is something like below:
1. If a data of a particular column changes from 2 to 3 than I would like to schedule this report and sent it to users mail box.
I know how to apply alerts or schedule a report or data tracking for capturing changes in the report but I dont know how to schedule the report only for data changes.
Anybody done this before.

Error (IES10901) (WIS 10901) while refreshing the Webi report

Hi Gurus,
We have created webi reports using Universe design tool on top of BEX Query based on 0SD_C03 cube and now we are facing Database error: A runtime exception has occured. (Error loading cube 0sd_c03 (catalog : % 3). (IES 10901 ) (WIS 10901) while trying to refresh the Webi report from Data Access--> Edit--> Run Query while its running fine when I refresh the report using refresh button option in Webi.
When I run the the query in rsrt its working absolutely fine.
Note that we are using BOBJ 4.0 SP7 and this issue has come recently.
Any idea or help on this would be appreciated.

are you getting this error constantly or sometimes?
what type of connection are you using for your Webi report
Is it Specified user name/password OLAP connection or SSO Olap connection
If your are using Specified user name/password OLAP then try with SSO connection because SAp recommendation is not to use Specified user name/password OLAP connections..to resolve this kind of issues please restart DSL bridge..

Error getting,while generating the Webi report

while i am generatign the Webi report, i am getting below error.
com.jpmorgan.extraclear.reportservice.BOException: :generateReport :: Exception com.businessobjects.rebean.wi.ServerException: The number of simultaneous report jobs was limited to 10 by the system administrator. . Please try to reconnect later.[ RCIRAS0518 ]
please help me out.

I just got the same error message, but I try to open a DeskI in InfoView. This has nothing to do with the Web Intelligence Processing Server. But I had problems with the RAS (Report Application Server). A restart of the RAS didn´t help, so I restarted the BOXI-Server. Now everything is fine, but I still don´t know, what happens.
It would be great to know what the problem was.
Hope to get an answer.

Error While Run the WebI Report on SAP BW Query

I have build the universe on SAP BW Query . I built the same universe on the SAP BW DEV and SAP BW Test
When I tried to run the WEBI Report on the Universe which is built on the SAP BW Test
WebI Report is prompting for the below values
Calendar Year
Profit Center
Profit Center Hierarchy
Version.
Here I can see the List of values for the Calendar Year and Profit Center. Its giving me below error when I look for list of values for the Profit Center and Profit Center Hierarchy.

1.     Why I am getting this error. Because of authentication or configurations set on the Profit Center and Profit Center Hierarchy objects? If so , please let me know what I need to set?

- the BI Query in the Test system is running correct and all the variables do work ?
     Yes, BI Query is working fine in the Test System and I can see all the variables too
In BI Query I can see values for Calendar Year, Version, Profit Center, Profit Center Hierarchy

Yes, Universe has all the variables.
- do you see values in the Web Intelligence prompts when you run the report ?
   No,
   I can only see values for the Calendar Year & Version in the Web Intelligence Prompt.
When I try to see values for the Profit Center & Profit Center Hierarchy in the Web Intelligence Prompt, its showing below error.

Reg: Error while refreshing the WebI Report

Hi all,
I created WebI report based on universe that is connected to Excel data. Through DSN I m accesing Excel Data . I created same DSN in server also. If I refresh the webI Report in BO server it tells the following error.
A database error occured. The database error text is: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] System resource exceeded.. (WIS 10901)
Before that its working fine. what may be the problem?

Hi,
If it's not the universe limits, then I think you've hit the "MDX result contains too many cells" (more than 1million) problem.
So, I suspect a long running query, no filters/variable restrictions, and You've probably got a dump in ST22.
I don't know what BW you have, but if it is BW 7, do you have Enhancement Pack 01 and SP05<->10 ?
You should check out all the latest corrections from component BW-BEX-OT-MDX
the final proof of the pudding would be to enable MDA / SOFA log , capture the MDX SELECT statement and test it in BW MDXTEST - i bet you get the same error there.

Issues while saving the Webi Report locally in pdf and Excel Format

Hi,
I am getting issues with the images on a Webi Report when I try to save the reports locally on my machine in either a pdf format or in an Excel Format.
I think the issue is that when I am trying to save the report it saves the address of the image binded in the report but it doesn't save the image/download the image and when the report is opened locally it couldn't refer to the image location.
I am using BOXIR2 with SP2.8.
I am not sure what should be the right solution for this. Any insight or resolution will definitely be helpful.

I would investigate on the load balancer and/or Apache front end servers, are you sure you don't have a keep alive setting enabled somewhere on one of these servers? in the Tomcat connector maybe?

Problem withdata while saving the Webi Report in Excel

Hi All,
Just Now we migrated our Webi reports on 4.1.
When I am schduling report in excel In my report some ? sign will come.
If I do save -> save as Excel it will save properly but Save as execel 2007 It will save ? marks in some column.
Schdule in execl also doing same.please see following screen shot.
Please guide me how to sort out this issue.

The reason behind the issue could be UTF-8 encoding.
We can try to convert the encoding to ANSI and check if the issue persists.
Can you use Webi Rich Client on client machine? If yes then follow the below steps on client machine:
1. Right Click on My Computer and go to Properties.
2. Inside Advanced tab, click on 'Environment Variables'.
3. Create user/system variable with name "BO_UTF_BOM" and put "any text" as its value.
Restart your machine. Log into Rich client and again try to save your report in Excel.

Scheduling the Webi report based on the current date

Can I schedule the report to give the results of the previous day (report Daily) and other one to give the results of the previous month (report Monthly)? How can I do it?

Well for yesterday, you can use something like:
CAST(CONVERT(VARCHAR, T_GVQSTATCG1_HOUR.DATE_YYYYMMDD, 110) AS DATETIME) = DATEADD(dd,-1,(select T_GVQSTATCG1_HOUR.DATE_YYYYMMDD from YourTable where Current_Day_Ind = 'Y'))
We have a date table in our data warehouse with a Current Day Indicator field. If you don't have something like that, then you should be able to just use:
CAST(CONVERT(VARCHAR, DateAdd(dd,-1, GetDate()), 110) AS DATETIME)
You would use something similar for previous month, parsing out the month number from the date, and then subtracting 1, except of course for January, where you could just plug in a case statement to handle that.
This is assuming you are on SQL Server. Syntax may be different in Universe for Oracle or other.
Does that make sense?

This error message means the parameter assigned to the prompt of the report while scheduling, was not correct.
Please check the parameters in the prompt section while scheduling and assign proper values.
