BO 4.0 LCM - Override settings option not working consistently.

Does anyone here have experience using LCM for BOBJ 4.0?
I'm promoting all of the Best Practice reports that I implemented on our Dev. server to our Prod. server and would like LCM to map the dev connection settings to the prod connection settings. I've followed the guide and promoted the override settings from dev to prod and edited the connection appropriately. However, after promoting all of my crystal reports, only some have the updated production connection, while the others (majority) still have the dev connection setting.
Is there something I missed or I did wrong here?

I am reading the LCM user manual and I am wondering:
What is meaning of Using the Override Settings Option?
I need to use LCM to move WebI reports and Universes from one environment to another
and from one environment to a LCMBIAR file.

I did everything as advised to apply an override for the universe connection object, even though there is no change in the connection settings from QA to PROD, I still get this during Test Promote:
Resolution Status=Copied, Dependency Status=All the required dependencies are included., Commit Status=Commit is successful., Promotion Status=Warning : Can't apply override; Override information is Not Available
When I do the actual promotion, the job fails for the connection object citing override issues. I don't know what's going on with LCM but is there any way to no be forced to use the override feature?

Privacy settings STILL not working - sort it out s...

i always have my privacy settings fixed so that all options are set to "contacts" only. however i am STILL getting messages from random strangers saying that i appear interesting.
i'm not interesting. i have no interest in receiving these messages. i have updated my software and rechecked all the privacy settings but i still get these messages.
skype - can you PLEASE sort this out because it's getting so i don't even want to log in. it's SO ANNOYING!!!!!
i'm running on a mac (lion) - updating doesn't help. any other ideas? frankly at the moment i don't see why skype even bothers to have security settings - this is not the first time (by any means) that this has happened: they shouldn't make these kind of settings promises if they can't keep them.

When you synced with iTunes It would have tried to replace the music on the iPhone with what is on the computer. which is what happens when you sync with iTunes.
If the songs are purchased you can re-downloaded them Pretty easily. You mentioned that you still see the songs and that you could not play them. Do they have a Cloud symbol next to them? If so this means that you can download them but that they are not on the device.

I have an issue in Transaction SE16, Field selection (User-Specific Settings) is NOT working in Tables (ALL tables).

That is in the initial screen of transaction SE16 if I choose Filed Name or Filed Label only the technical details (Field Names) are appearing and not the descriptions like Client, Purchasing Doc, and Company Code Doc. Category Document Type etc…
Right now I am using ECC6 and EHP7 SAP system.
Please help me to resolve this issue by implementing any OSS note or User Role creations or any technical changes required in system.
Hope the requirement is clear and in case need any clarification please revert back.
NOTE: Right now in Development System we don’t have any successful user to compare the settings.

Wifi with stock kernel driver rtl8192ce not working consistently

Hi,
My wifi card RTL8188CE does not work consistently with kernel driver rlt8192ce. The problem that i observe is that after some time ~1hr wifi devices get disconnected and are not able to reconnect. On restarting wifi using systemctl restart hostapd sometimes the system hangs.

A bug report submitted to redhat bugzilla https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cg … id=1203241 suggests it may be caused by a bug in the rtl8192ce kernel module since linux 3.17.7. I hope this problem could be solved as quickly as possible.

Power button not working consistently

Have owned my Macbook Air 13" for almost a year. Over the last few months, I've had some issues with the power button when in standby mode. I think this happened even before I updated to OS X Yosemite. Sometimes when I go to turn my computer on, the button is completely unresponsive. I have to press the button over and over again. Sometimes I hold it down firmly and it turns on, other times it seems to turn on after a light touch. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks-

Just an FYI Laura - you can press any of the hard buttons on your Palm and it will turn on. Many of try to avoid using the fragile power button, choosing instead to use a hard button to turn on, and the normal timeout to turn off.

Same problem here: I never had a problem with the previous versions and now I don't even get my homepage when I click Firefox. Instead, I am getting a blank screen that says "New Tab", only after I click the "Home" symbol I get my Homepage (Yahoo). The browser - back and browser forward button don't work anymore, very annoying. Normally a newer version should be an improvement but it looks like Mozilla really messed up with this "improvement". probably I am going to use Google chrome from now on.

In multiple apps, but mostly in Word, I find myself pressing Command-C and then Command-V to paste and what I paste is the LAST thing I copied, not the most recent. I sometimes have to repeat teh sequence several times before it pastes the thing I want it to. Any suggestions? I tried searching for this problem, but didn't find any relevant discussions. Thanks!

"Restore last view settings when reopening documents" option not working with all documents

Said option (found under Edit/Preferences, category Documents), which works like an automatic bookmark in that it takes you back to the same place you were at when you last closed a document, is very useful, but apparently doesn't work with *all* documents.
- Does anyone know what determines whether a given document works with this option or not?
- Is this by design or a bug? A matter of PDF format version?
- Is there a way to work around the problem?
I've compared two documents, only one of which works with the option, to determine what the relevant difference may be, and found two suspects (under File/Properties): the PDF version (1.5 in the document that works, 1.4 in the one that doesn't), and 'Fast Web View' ('yes' in the document that works, 'no' in the one that doesn't).

This seems to be a problem with some PDF files.
Suggested workaround: If the PDF you have allows "Save As", then try save-as to a new file. The "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" option should then work as expected (in the new file).
