BO 4.0 & SharePoint 2010 - before integration

Dear Sirs,
I have SharePoint 2010 solution in my company.
I'd like to integrate SharePoint and Business Objects Business Intelligence 4.0 platform.
My environment:
Business Objects:
Windows 2008 R2
   BO BI 4.0
   Authentication = Windows AD (Kerberos)  & SSO
SharePoint 2010:
   2 front-end servers (One of them is index server) (Both are query servers)
   2 servers with SQL Server (cluster)
So, I need to install integration kit for SharePoint.
Questions:
1. Where should I install this add-on? On which server(s) ?
2. Will it be possible to include Windows AD authentication with SSO?
3. Do I need to install anything on the BO server?
I would be grateful for your help.
Best regards,
Emmo2000

IOMS is installed on your front end servers (IIS is deployed), AD SSO is supported. No, there is no additional installation, configuration to be done on the BOE servers.

  • SharePoint 2010 - Oracle Integration

    Hi,
    Can we integrate Oracle views (virtual table) in SharePoint 2010 using BCS , as I've worked on integration in SharePoint with oracle tables and not views using BCS..?
    Which is recommended one - a) Moving the data in SharePoint external list to show the results in search or
    b) directly fetching the data from Oracle DB and show in search results in SharePoint...?
    Also , here I'm not talking about native/default SharePoint search (i.e. crawling , indexing etc)  ,I'm talking about database-driven search with heavy customizations , SharePoint will only be used for interface.. :(
    Any ideas !!!

    Microsoft Business Connectivity Services can connect to external data from oracle database,
    you can try to create a BDC model for connecting to Oracle Databases, the following articles have more information about this:

  • SharePoint 2010 User Integration with Exchange 2010 New Users Created as Hidden and Later Unhidden not receiving email from SharePoint

    When we have a new employee transfer to us from another department, their email is created and hidden until they actually make the transfer so they don't have two different email addresses in our global address list.  When the transfer is made, the
    email address is unhidden, but then we are unable to send emails to them from sharepoint 2010 without doing an IISReset.  We are using Exchange 2010.  Does anyone have suggestions on how to alleviate this issue?

    Hi,
    I have done a test, no matter the email address is hidden or not, we can both send email to the email address in the same domain.
    How was the new employee from another department transferred to your department?
    Whether sending emails to them need do an IIS Reset everytime.

  • Sharepoint 2010 - Email integration

    HI there,
    I am working on something as follows:
    -> Few mail IDs in MS outlook ([email protected], [email protected]) should be configured in such a way that whenever a mail hits these mail boxes, that should be redirected to a Sharepoint library .
    Incoming email settings will be limited to one Email ID   , but I want to give option to users to send to any of the mail IDs mentioned above
    Please guide me
    sk.Rakhishma

    If you are saying that you want to use multiple email addresses where each one goes to a different list then just setup incoming email normally and specify the specific email you want for each list in the settings of that list.  If that is what you
    want to do then you can't limit incoming email settings to one ID except there will only be one ID in the settings of each list.  For the incoming emails settings at the server level you would specify an email subdomain that included all the email addresses.
     That way they are all routed to SharePoint using only one MX record, but routed to each individual library based on the specific address.  For example the email setting on the server would be *.Sharepoint.domain.com and the email addresses would
    be [email protected] and [email protected]
    If you are saying that you want users to be able to send to any email, but only have one email identified in the incoming email settings then its not possible.

  • Sharepoint 2010 - SAP - Connection Authenification

    Hello expert´s,
    first i am not sure if this is the right forum, if not, admins, please move this threat to the right one.
    We plan to get MS Sharepoint 2010 in our company, so it would be very nice to show SAP data in Sharepoint. If already a prototype page with a running connetction to SAP. So there is SAP data shown in our MS SP page. So far it works, but now we need user specific data. In my first try i used a SAP Webservice (where i deactivated the authenification) so no user an pw was requestet by SAP. Now i need the Username on SAP side and a working auth.check. I searched the internet and asked our sharepoint implenentation parter, but i did not get a solution.
    Has anybody an idea how it can work?

    Hi Andrés,
    from SharePoint 2010 iFrame Integration with SAP BSP, WebDynpro, and iView
    "Basically, the iView web parts arenu2019t included anymore because they never really worked anyway. They are no longer u201Csupportedu201D but you can continue to use them as they are in SharePoint 2010. The iFrame integration moving forward really just allows finer control in the page rendering of SharePoint. You can now seamlessly edit the pages to incorporate any desired external content within an iFrame directly. This was not possible before with MOSS 2007.
    Even with SharePoint 2007, the IView webpart was not a necessity to visually embed a SAP Portal IView, a SAP BSP page within a SharePoint page. Valid and even recommended alternative approach is a 'plain iframe' construct. You can apply the PageViewerWebPart for this; present in 2007 and also still in 2010,
    Or you can completely build your own web part; for code example see http://erpstudies.com/sap/65-microsoft-net-and-sap/1259-sap-business-server-pages-and-sap-web-dynpro-applications.html; or Integration of SAP Business Server Pages (SAP BSP) in SharePoint 2007

  • Issue with connection SSRS reportviewer control to SSRS 2012 integrated with SharePoint 2010...

    Hi,
    I have a .NET application that uses SSRS ReportViewer 2012 control to render reports deployed on SSRS 2012 integrated with SharePoint 2010. I am getting error "the report execution '' has expired or not found". The same code works when I connect
    to SSRS 2008 R2 integrated with SharePoint 2007. I investigated the issue and it seems the JavaScript that pings the SSRS server before it expires is missing from rendered HTML.
    Let me know if there is a way to fix this issue.
    following is the code:
    ASPX:
    <formid="form1"runat="server">
    <rsweb:ReportViewerAsyncRendering="true"
    KeepSessionAlive="true"ID="test"runat="server"></rsweb:ReportViewer>
    <asp:scriptmanagerrunat="server"></asp:scriptmanager>
    </form>
    Code Behind:
    if(!IsPostBack)
    this.Session.Clear();
            test.Reset();
            test.ProcessingMode =
    ProcessingMode.Remote;
            test.KeepSessionAlive =
    true;
            test.ServerReport.ReportServerUrl =
    newSystem.Uri("https://webappname/_vti_bin/reportserver/");
            test.ServerReport.ReportPath =
    https://webappname/RS_Reports/REportEngineTest.rdl;
    ReportServerCredentialscred =
    newReportServerCredentials();
                test.ServerReport.ReportServerCredentials = cred;
    report server credentials:
    publicICredentialsNetworkCredentials
    get
    // Use default identity.
    returnnewNetworkCredential("user",
    "pwd",
    "domain");

    What's the meaning of webappname, are you mean the sharepoint site?
    I think this issue can be caused by the incorrect url. You can refer to the following link:

  • Integration between InfoPath web forms (browser side), SharePoint 2010, and Word or Excel

    To begin with the end in mind, here's what I need to do:
    User A (employee) fills out infopath form in browser.
    User A saves infopath form, workflow runs, and sends a link to the manager
    User B (Manager) opens infopath form, clicks a button, and all the information from the saved infopath form magically appears in a excel document
    Here's how I did it, because I couldn't find an easier way to do it. This is an InfoPath no-code solution (uses web service and workflow I had to build) and this is working somewhat:
    In InfoPath Designer 2010, created the form from Blank 2007 form template.
    Published the form and promoted fields to Sharepoint 2007 as a new forms library.
    Created a view on forms library to show all fields (SQLExportView1).
    Created SSIS package to import data from SharePoint forms list using the view "SQLExportView1" into a new database and table in SQL Server (tblSQLExport1).
    Created SQL Agent job to run this package every 2 minutes.
    Created workflow to notify manager.
    Created excel document with an external data connection to SQL server.
    In SQL, created a stored proceedure ("spGetCurrentID") to truncate, then add a row to a table ("tblCurrentFormID").
    On InfoPath form, added a button that takes the current infopath form "ID" into a table in SQL server by calling the stored procedure via a web service.
    On Infopath form, added a hyperlink to the excel file which opens in the client.
    In excel, added a button on the workbook that queries the SQL database for the current form ID, and drops it into a cell.
    In excel, added a button on the workbook that queries the SQL database for the sharepoint list details that were exported via SSIS, returning only the row for the current form ID.
    In excel, created a button on the workbook that displays the fields I want in the location I want
    With over 25 users concurrently hitting the form library, there is a chance that when they open excel they will generate an excel document with bad data in it (data from someone else's current ID).
    I've since migrated to SharePoint 2010, and it works the exact same way in 2010.
    What I want to do is find a way to get the data that is already saved in the infopath form DIRECTLY to Excel by clicking a button without the web service, the stored procedure, the SSIS package, the SQL agent job, etc.  My problem has always been
    in getting the data from infopath into RAM/Clipboard/temp file(?) and imported into Excel by bypassing the SQL.
    Of course, I would like to do this without requiring an administrator approved template in InfoPath, and have it be much more simpler to maintain. There are a lot of moving parts.
    Please point me to any examples or make recommendations. The requirement is that users open the form, the data is filled out already, and with a click of a button, the data shows up in excel automatically in the right place for the item they're currently
    looking at in infopath.
    Now that I've got this working (kind of) for one excel document, management wants to add 25 other documents that this one infopath form can generate.
    Therefore, once I get this to work better for one excel document, I can add other excel documents.
    I've considered passing a parameter to the excel document in Excel Web Services, as I believe that excel web services 2010 can support this. However, I believe that the macros that run in the excel client okay won't work in excel web services 2010.
    Users would prefer to open Excel in the client, though, so not sure I'm going to go down this path.

    Clayton,
    You rock - thank you for all your responses!
    The infopath form was built doing what it does long before the need to get the data into Excel.
    You are correct in that I could have modified the infopath code to save to SQL, but the fields in the form and on the forms library columns do change before and after the manager approves it.  As such, adding some code to submit the infopath data to
    SQL could have been used to write data into SQL server instead of leveraging SSIS/SQL Agent to do so. However the aformentioned workflow (see way up in the thread) does more than just send an email to the manager with a link. It also edits some fields in the
    forms library column on that particular list item. By using SSIS, every two minutes they get the latest stuff from sharepoint into SQL without having to add code in the workflow or - if possible - on the infopath code that does a table update where item=abc.
    It is common to get data from sharepoint into sql, regardless of whether or not it is a list or library (including infopath forms libraries). There is sample code on Codeplex that has been downloaded close to 40,000 times for this purpose which I'm sure
    you are familiar with:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd365137(v=sql.100).aspx and
    http://sqlsrvintegrationsrv.codeplex.com/releases/view/17652
    I agree with you in so many ways on why they should not be using excel (or word) to present the information. Having InfoPath or a custom workflow magically convert the data presented on a specific view in a filled out InfoPath form to PDF and emailing it
    would be wonderful, but it simply is not a possible solution.
    Surely you're familiar with companies that have a word document that, say, a manager will email to someone as an attachment, then the employee prints out the word document, fills it out on paper and signs it with a pen (or fills out a fillable form, then
    prints it), they then either fax it back or scan it and email it back to the manager, who then prints it out and hands it to a VP for a signature, etc.  Yes, the process is very old-fashioned, but in health care, finance, and for legal compliance reasons,
    some places simply have to do their manual processes the way they are. I've suggested and shown examples of how it can all be done electronically with digital signatures, etc., but their legal compliance officers and board members do not agree to this methodology.
    As such, I work within the confines I am presented with, as I'm sure you've had to do as well.
    I myself have worked for several Fortune 100 firms for many years (Microsoft, T-Mobile, etc), know what is possible. However the place I am at now, many of those options simply are not possible.
    They use excel (and word) because that is the templates the legal department and third party companies they work with gives them to work with.
    If you've used enterprise OCR systems (LaserFiche, OnBase, Hyperion, etc.) you would be familiar with the fact that in order to scan and index keywords from OCR cover pages, the document has to have fields in a certain location. While I have tried to
    get the InfoPath form to line up properly, I cannot print out headers or footers and page breaks where the OCR system requires and expects them to be. What's more: when you print a filled out infopath form that loads browser side, as you know you get the browser-related
    stuff with it. Although they're all on the same web browser (finally - IE8) and all on windows 7 and office 2010, I cannot control the fact that some users use large fonts and other accessability features to make their 21" screens run at 640x480 (exaggeration).
    When you do this, it changes the margins in the print area, and more.
    If I could take the data that is in infopath, merge it with an excel template, and export that to PDF, that could be an option. Not looking to buy some enterprise PDF generating product, though, and looking to do this as close to a no-code solution as possible.
    Why we're suggesting PDF, perhaps we should be considering XPS, since we are staying with the Microsoft technology stack here.
    Perhaps I should rephrase my original question like this:  "I have 25 different documents that all need to be filled out automatically. Each document has different text on it, but the fields that need to be filled out on the documents are almost all
    the same. I want to present one form for users to fill out, and once saved, to generate all 25 different documents. How would you do this?". While not entirely accurate, as not all 25 documents need to be created at once, only on demand with a click of a button
    for each document, perhaps that is a better way of stating the need.
    Thank you Clayton (and all you lurkers out there hoping to find out how we solve this).

  • Adding a custom rendering extension to SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 for SharePoint 2010 integrated mode

    We are attempting to add OfficeWriter report rendering extensions for SSRS 2012 in SharePoint (2010) integrated mode through powershell. The documentation for “New-SPRSExtension” is rather
    sparse and we have not found any clear examples on the internet. With SSRS 2012 in native mode, we make the following two changes to the config files:
    We add the following report rendering extension declaration to
    RSReportServer.config:
    <Configuration>
        <Extensions>
            <Render>

    What would be the equivalent syntax for “New-SPRSExtension” to do the above for SSRS 2012 in SharePoint (2010) integrated mode?
    Alison Bird SoftArtisans Technical Services www.softartisans.com

    Hi Alison,
    Unlike the deployment of other custom extensions such as custom delivery extension and data processing extension, it is not necessary to add a code group for the custom assembly that grants FullTrust permission for the extension during the deployment of
    custom rendering extension. If you have copy the custom assembly to the %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.<InstanceName>\Reporting Services\ReportServer\Bin folder, and modify the RSreportserver.config file to add the extention entry properly,
    please open the SSRS Service Application created on the SharePoint and verify that your extension is included in the list of available export types for a report.

  • Sql server 2008 r2 reportserver integration with sharepoint 2010 datasource credential

    hello,
    I am using sharepoint 2010 and sql server 2008 r2 and integrated in sharepoint integration mode and i am using windows authentication ,not keberos ,so i deletd negotiate in authentication tag in rssharepoint.config file,but when i tried to create data source
    i am getting credential error and when windows credential is used it is getting connected.
    please help.
    thanks

    Hi Krishnakumar_DeV,
    Based on the current description, I understand that you should use the Windows NTLM authentication and delete the Negotiatein in authentication tag from RSReportServer.config which is located in the folder “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web
    Server Extensions\XX\WebServices\Reporting”. You can use a local account or domain account to connect report server, while there is credential error message when creating data source, right?
    To narrow down the issue, I want to confirm some information below:
    1. To connect to remote data source, we can specify the following credentials’ ways:
    •Prompt the user for credentials
    •Store credentials
    •Use Windows integrated security
    •Use no credentials
     Which credential way is you using and what’s the detailed error message?
    2. How do you create the data source?
    If I have any misunderstanding, please feel free to contact me.

  • SSRS 2008 R2 SharePoint 2010 integration error?

    Hi, I have SSRS 2008 R2 in SharePoint 2010 integration mode. I'm getting kind of strange error with below scenario:
    1) SSRS report has data-source to SQL Server 2008 R2 database store procedure.
    2) SQL Server procedure execute SELECT query using linked server to Oracle database (Oracle driver).
    3) SSRS report has parameter call 'Customer' which allows user to filter the data. This customer report parameter drop-down is also get execute SQL store procedure and get data from Oracle linked server.
    Oracle database  <---------> SQL Server 2008 R2 (SQL procedure & linked server to Ora) <-----> SharePoint SSRS Report
    Problem :  When user select one customer from parameter drop-down and click 'Apply' to render report it works. But if user change report parameter then it got error. This error is relate to can't execute main SQL procedure Oracle package to linked server.
    Not sure why this happening when user select new parameter value and got this error? Interesting enough, I replicate scenario using Visual Studio 2008 and run report with different values by selecting customer parameter and it works perfectly fine! Not sure
    why it doesn't work on SSRS report on SharePoint? FYI - all properties to SQL linked server and report data-source are set to default values.
    Any idea? like SharePoint do some-sort of caching report data-source or any other hints where things going wrong? Thanks.

    Hi KM,
    Thanks for your post.
    It seems a little strange. Do you mean the reports is working fine with parameter change behavior in report design tool(Visual Studio 2008), however, when you publish this report from design tool to Reporting services SharePoint site, it works with only
    default parameter values, once you change the parameter value, you would encounte the error “can't execute main SQL procedure Oracle package to linked server”? If so, I would suggest you to create a SQL Agent job  on your SQL Server engine to timely synchronous
    data from Oracle database to SQL Server Database, and then you can create report to retrieve the relevant data from SQL Server table objects.
    Thanks,

  • Acrobat Pro 9 e-sign and SharePoint 2010 integration

    Hello,
    I cannot get an Acrobat Pro 9 created document with electronic signature fields to open in SharePoint 2010 so it can be checked out, signed, saved and checked back in. I have seen discussions on this subject from 2011, but have not come across any solutions. Has there been a fix to this yet?

    There are several different scenarios that happen. I am testing the document before I send it out the links again to have users esign. Not every user has Pro 9. Some only have Reader 8. I am uploading the unsigned document created in Pro 9 to a SharePoint 2010 site. There are 10 different signature fields – none of them are locked. When I go to the document to sign under the “edit” function in SharePoint I get an error that says object label badly formatted when trying to save, or I am able to sign once and save, and when I got to test signature number 2 it cannot open the document. Every time I upload it to SharePoint I have to enable Reader 8 usage rights. Sometime it lets me do it, and sometimes it says “this document could not be reader enabled.” It does not seem to be stable. Sometimes it works and then just a few minutes later it has problems. Please advise. Thanks.

  • Sharepoint 2010 Integration Problem??

    I have CRM 2011(online) and Sharepoint 2010(online) on Same domain of Office 365.
    I Integrated the CRM 2011(Online) with Sherepoint 2010(Online) but inside CRM it doesnot show normal view it shows only site.
    if I Use 2011 list Components it shows only sit inside of CRM as below...
    but if I Use the 2013 list Components it work fine for me.But there is also an issue
    problem is that it works only if Sahrepoint is sign-in if sharepoint sign-out it shows this error...
    this error is same for both case in 2011 list Components or
    2013 list Components.
    Muhammad Sohail

    Hi Muhammad,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the SharePoint site showing in the CRM and the error occurred when SharePoint was signing out.
    For the first issue, I recommend to check if the corresponding document library is created in SharePoint site.
    Please go to SharePoint site, click Site Actions and View All Site Content, then check if the
    entities you selected to be managed by Document Management appear as document libraries.
    For test, I recommend to re-configure the CRM referring to the link below to see if the issue still occurs:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj863709.aspx
    For the second issue, I recommend to add *.microsoftonline.com to trusted site in Internet Explorer browser and
    make sure that the Enable Protected Mode check box isn't selected.

    Best regards.
