BO Edge Free Trial - Where do i go from here ?

dear all, i am an SAP ABAPer for years. I would like to get into BO.
I have downloaded and installed, successfully the free BO Edge Trial.
Now i sit in front of my laptop looking at it, wondering what to read, to get me started.
i prefer hands on exercises.
i realize the Edge trial does not link to SAP, so where do i go from here.
i would just like to get to play with the tools inside Edge, and perform some very basic "Hello World" type functionaltiy.
Maybe link BO Edge to an Excel spreadsheet ?
anything that can make use of the Edge Free trial.

Photoshop 4.0 is not compatible with MAC 10.9.3 . You will face issues as when Photoshop 4.0 was launched there was no MAC Mavericks and Adobe has not tested the version on new MAC OS.
If you want you can download the latest version of Photoshop CC 2014 and you can use it as a trial for 30 days and you can plan to switch to the latest version.

Ex-FCP. Where do we go from here?

Ok, so I guess we all know by now that FCPX doesn't cut it. [pun] There's no way in **** this system is going to make it into any professional production environments in it's current condition, and chances are that *if* and when Apple updates FCPX, it'll probably be to late, and the film world will have moved on to something better.
So where do we go from here? Of course, we could all go back to Avid, but Avid has an even worse track record than Apple when it comes to killing off systems. Having killed, not one, but TWO multi-hundred-thousand-dollar systems for me. Namely "Avid Media Illusion", which cost me about $150.000, and later "Avid DS" (set me back nearly $200.000), which they hailed as The New and Improved Avid Media Illusion, in true Final Cut Pro X style. Actually Avid DS is a great system, just like FCP was, and you can actually still buy it, but have you noticed how it's been at version 10 for about 5 years now? So no new development. In other words; it's dead.
Anyways... So I'm loathed to turn back to Avid. I hold a grudge. So... Adobe Premiere? Well, no... At least not as far as I can see. Premiere may be better than FCPX, but it's no professional editing suite.
Where does that leave us? I suppose I could fire up the old Silicon Graphics Tezro workstation I have in storage running (then Discreet Logic) Smoke HD. But seriously... is that the way to go? There's always to be at least two competing systems, and we all know that Avid is one of them, even now. FCP used to be the other... Have the tides turned back to Smoke again? Is Autodesk Smoke the way to go for us real professionals now?
Any comments or bright ideas?

I think you are missing the point! I posted this in another thread:

If you can download the ML installer you can make a bootable install media by using:

If your Mini came with ML you can also boot to Internet Recovery
OS X: About OS X Recovery
and it will install ML. Make sure you boot to Internet Recovery and not the Recovery Partition. If to the partition you will only get Mavericks.

I think you needed to have pages '09 in it's own folder (usually named iWork '09) when you upgraded to Pages 5.0. Luckily I had. Then the easiest way to edit a document in Pages '09 is to right-click (CTRL Click) it in the finder or on the desktop and select Pges '09 from the context menu.
Another reason why you'll need Pages 09 is if you need to edit a document created in a version of pages before '09. These won't open in Pages 5.0. (Yes, really. It's almost unbelievable) You have to open them in '09 and then save them. This saves them in Pages '09 format, which can be opend in Pages 5.0.
Apple makes everything easy for us EXCEPT when we upgrade our OS, or iWork apps!

Make sure that you typing the password correctly - check upper and lower case letter - make sure they are correct. This is a problem with inital setup? Back out of the setting and then come back and try again.

iLife installation went fine, and I can see some useful changes in my iPhoto software. There is a small mystery however: despite the visible changes, the software still describes itself as v.8.1.2. Since I see no problem I am not going to go chasing one, but then I think you may see something I don't. Am I OK or is there something else I need to do?

i download the free trial of b.o edge series trial, but the evaluation license code is not correct.
i tried to install it several time but i can't..
how come Sap give a incorrect code???

on support site they said to ask for a temporary license..but is accessibile only for customer or partner..and how i can be

The problem is the keycodes were only valid for 2009. Don't bother trying to call SAP - I spent over an hour and a half on the phone and was transferred to 5 different people only to be told the only solution was to download it again....10 hours later...same problem. The official word is that "Trial versions are not supported" regardless if you tell them you can't very well trial it if it cannot be installed!
You have to change your system date to something prior to July 2009 and install it that way. Unfortunately, everytime you want to 'TRIAL' it, you have to use that system date. Do NOT leave your system date changed and power off your box.
The only key they seem to be sending now is:
