BO Edge Releases

I am new to Business Objects and I am confused with the different in names and releases on the SAP Website. Is BO Edge Standard XI R2 the earlier version of BO Edge Standard 3. What is the difference between BO Enterprise XI 3.0 and BO Edge Standard 3. I want to download the correct BO which works with CrystalReport 2008.

BusinessObjects Edge 3.0 is the version compatible with Crystal Reports 2008.
Edge is very similar to the architecture and features found in BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.0.

The main differences between Edge and BOE are:
- There is a limit to the number of CAL licenses you can have on Edge whereas BOE has no limit
- You are restricted to a single server deployment of Edge whereas BOE is horizontally deployable
- Limited add-ons available compared to BOE

Galaxy Note Edge Release...Verizon knows why no reason not to tell us!!

I know that many of you are like me and are waiting for the release of the Note edge on Verizon. I have read the many threads and saw your complaints and ideas. I had to ad mine. I have been a Verizon Customer for some time and like the cell service. I Do not like the fact that they took my unlimited data away the last time I renewed but I am living with it.
I am greatly disturbed on hoe they are treating there current Customers in regards to this release. I know there is a reason that Verizon is dragging their feet and for them not to just come out and be upfront is unacceptable. They could just say we are having issues with software or price or are waiting until a certain time. To tell their reps to just say they have no info; just shows that they do not care about their customers and they believe they are the only game in town and can do what they want.
If they would just give honest info they would gain even more. I too am going to jump ship. I have watched other people enjoy the phone and are in fact paying less a month for more service than Verizon Offers. Example I currently pay $80 a month for my phone with only 4g of data and 450min of talk. I could switch and save $20 a month and get unlimited everything. However, I would like to remain loyal to Verizon, but there is only so much bad Customer service one can take.
I am going to wait till the end of the year and if the Note edge is not released, Verizon will force me to move to Sprint. Which, in my area has the same coverage as Verizon.
I am really hoping for a Christmas Present from Verizon and see the Note Edge available be for the end of Dec. Or for Verizon to just come right out and say what is going on!!!!!!

I hear you. if I do leave I am planning on paying for the phone up front. I do not believe in making payments on a phone. The is just plain dumb to me. If you are going to pay full price anyway by using easy pay you might as well pay for it up front on a credit card, if you can, and not be locked into a contract. I was on ATT's site yesterday and the phone is about a hundred dollars more there.
I just wish Verizon would talk to there Customers. I simple honest statement on what the issue for them is would go a very long way.

Arch gets *really* bleeding-edge: releases KDE 4.2 before KDE does!

I know distro devs get KDE a full week or so earlier to begin testing with their distro, etc., and the essentially unchanged RC was here before, but KDE 4.2 stable is in Arch's main repos now - _before_ it's available on the KDE web site! I mean, I knew Arch was bleeding-edge, but come on!

www.kde.org still says KDE 4.2 is to be released tomorrow, and I can't download the 4.2.0 source from the location specified in the KDE 4.2 PKGBUILDs. None of the KDE mirrors have it.

Galaxy S6 and Edge Release and Pricing

Samsung Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge with Verizon 4G LTE: Preorders Begin April 1

The Galaxy S6 is $199/$299/$399 for the 32GB/64GB/128GB models, respectively. The S6 Edge models are an additional $100.
As of right now, the black and white models are available for pre-order with an expected ship date of April 10, and the gold a few weeks after that.

When will the Note Edge be available?

I know the Note 4 can be pre-ordered today but the Note Edge isn't. When will that be available?

DPS and Edge - animation plays before page loads

Hi-
I have had a continuing challenge with animations created in Edge and placed into an Adobe DPS document. Short animations that are intended to play when the viewer gets to the page (onload) are already finished playing when the page is viewed. Other CSS3 and jquery based animations load as expected only when the page is navigated to and "in view".
I was excited for the latest Edge release and CS6 hoping that this issue had been resolved, but it is still happening for me.
Has this been resolved? Using an event handler or not checking "Autoplay" and requiring user interaction to initiate the animation are not the effect I want.
Did you find a resolution to this?

I don't recall mentioning onLoad, but since you mention it...
Edge triggers auto-play animations off the onLoad event right now. In DPS publications the correct event to trigger on is onAppear. We're working with the Edge team to make sure that when you publish for DPS the auto-play animations look for the right event.

AsyncOS 7.1.1-037 for web

I see that release 7.1.1-037 is available for the WSA. is there anywhere I can find the release notes/resolved & open caveats for this upgrade? As seems typical, on a bleeding edge release it's near impossible to find any documentation on cisco's website, yet the upgrade is available to apply.
I'm running 7.1.1-033 (installed it hours before Cisco yanked the upgrade due to bugs, thankfully I haven't experienced any of these bugs, since there is no rollback feature in the WSA)
I appreciate any information.

Eric, thanks for the reply and the link to the general release notes for the WSA.
Unfortunately, the link you provided does not include the release notes (and/or resolved/open caveats) for 7.1.1-037 (or 7.1.1-033 for that matter).
My original question still stands: is there somewhere that the release notes for 7.1.1-037 are posted (bug tracker, perhaps?) or does a customer blindly have to upgrade to 7.1.1-037, not knowing what bugs are fixed or open, or do they have to wait until Cisco sends out an email to Ironport customers stating the availability of the new release (which usually includes the release notes)?
I have seen significant delays between the WSA showing an upgrade path, and Cisco "officially" emailing customers about said upgrade.
In my opinion, it is always a good practice to have the related documentation (release notes, for example) available to customers when you make a upgrade available, OR, hold off on making the upgrade available until said documentation is available.   Such a practice can avoid potential confusion for the end-user.

S6 Edge Preorder and Release date??

I just pre-ordered my Gold S6 Edge today, however, the email confirmation said that the phone will be shipped out on April 21st. I thought the phones will be shipped out on April 10th. Why the delay?

When is the Note Edge being released?

So Samsung made an announcement a few days ago and they stated that the Note Edge will be released on all major U.S. markets on Nov. 14. So far all the major markets (Tmobile, ATT, and Sprint) have stated their schedule. And as usual, Verizon hasn't said a single word. Does anyone have any idea when the Note Edge will be released?

Well.... I went ahead with the Note 4, which, by the way, is an awesome device! The thing that sealed the deal was the $100 off android phones on Black Friday last week. I figure a device of this caliber for $199 is a steal. In the back of my mind, I told myself that If Verizon gets the Edge in under 14 days (from black friday) then I'll just switch it out. But I'm not so sure - may just stick with the 4 (besides, a week has gone and still no Edge in stores or online

Please can you include the play.psd used in the features video. I would like to understand the correct layer ordering and naming order so that when the psd is imported into edge that the DOM is set up correctly. Alternativly please make a video or tutorial regarding layer organisation with the DOM in mind.

When will SAP BusinessObjects Edge 3.2 be released to customer ?

Is there anybody who has this information ?
My Japanse customer needs to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.2 to use Data Services XI 3.2 for the new option "Data Alignment" in fixed-width file formats.
3.0 and 3.1 only supports "character data alignment" but Japansese customer needs "byte data alignment", this option enables it.
There is no workaround for this problem in 3.0 and 3.1 except for changing source data formats in the source system.
